۞كُلُّ
Kulluṭ
All
ٱلطَّعَامِ
ṭaʻaami
[the] food
كَانَ
kaana
was
حِلّٗا
ḥillal
lawful
لِّبَنِيٓ
li-Baneee
for (the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
ʹIsraaaʹeela
(of) Israel
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَا
maa-
what
حَرَّمَ
ḥarrama
made unlawful
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلُ
ʹIsraaaʹeelu
Israel
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
upon
نَفۡسِهِۦ
nafsihee
himself
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِ
q̣abli
before
أَن
ʹañ
[that]
تُنَزَّلَ
tunazzalat
(was) revealed
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُۚ
Tawraah.
the Taurat
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
فَأۡتُواْ
faʹtoo
So bring
بِٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ
bit-Tawraati
the Taurat
فَٱتۡلُوهَآ
fatloohaaa
and recite it
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een.
truthful
٩٣
3:94
فَمَنِ
Famanif
Then whoever
ٱفۡتَرَىٰ
taraa
fabricates
عَلَى
ʻalal
about
ٱللَّهِ
laahil
Allah
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
kaẓiba
[the] lie
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
هُمُ
humuz̤̣
they
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(are) the wrongdoers
٩٤
3:95
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
صَدَقَ
ṣadaq̣al
(has) spoken the truth
ٱللَّهُۗ
laah:
Allah
فَٱتَّبِعُواْ
fattabiʻoo
then follow
مِلَّةَ
Millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۖ
ḥaneefaa;
(the) upright
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
he was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
٩٥
3:96
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
أَوَّلَ
ʹAwwala
(the) First
بَيۡتٖ
Baytiñw
House
وُضِعَ
wuḍiʻa
set up
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for the mankind
لَلَّذِي
lallaḍee
(is) the one which
بِبَكَّةَ
bi-Bakkata
(is) at Bakkah
مُبَارَكٗا
mubaarakañw
blessed
وَهُدٗى
wahudal
and a guidance
لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
lil-ʻaalameen:
for the worlds
٩٦
3:97
فِيهِ
Feehi
In it
ءَايَٰتُۢ
ʹAayaatum
(are) signs
بَيِّنَٰتٞ
Bayyinaatum
clear
مَّقَامُ
Maq̣aamu
standing place
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۖ
ʹIbraaheema;
(of) Ibrahim
وَمَن
wa-mañ
and whoever
دَخَلَهُۥ
dakhalahoo
enters it
كَانَ
kaana
is
ءَامِنٗاۗ
ʹaaminaa.
safe
وَلِلَّهِ
Wa-lillaahi
And (due) to Allah
عَلَى
ʻalan
upon
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the mankind
حِجُّ
Ḥijjul
(is) pilgrimage
ٱلۡبَيۡتِ
Bayti
(of) the House
مَنِ
manis
(for one) who
ٱسۡتَطَاعَ
taṭaaʻa
is able
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to [it]
سَبِيلٗاۚ
sabeelaa.
(find) a way
وَمَن
Wa-mañ
And whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
disbelieved
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَنِيٌّ
G̣aniyyun
(is) free from need
عَنِ
ʻanil
of
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻaalameen.
the universe
٩٧
3:98
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ
yaaaʹAhlal
O People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
لِمَ
lima
Why
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuroona
(do) you disbelieve
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
in (the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
while Allah
شَهِيدٌ
Shaheedun
(is) a Witness
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
مَا
maa-
what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon?
you do
٩٨
3:99
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ
yaaaʹAhlal
O People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
لِمَ
lima
Why
تَصُدُّونَ
taṣuddoona
(do) you hinder
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
مَنۡ
man
(those) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believe[d]
تَبۡغُونَهَا
tab-g̣oo-nahaa
seeking (to make) it
عِوَجٗا
ʻiwajañw
(seem) crooked
وَأَنتُمۡ
waʹañtum
while you
شُهَدَآءُۗ
shuhadaaaʹ?
(are) witnesses
وَمَا
Wa-mal
And not
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
big̣aafilin
(is) unaware
عَمَّا
ʻammaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon.
you do
٩٩
3:100
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
ʹaamanooo
believe[d]
إِن
ʹiñ
If
تُطِيعُواْ
tuṭeeʻoo
you obey
فَرِيقٗا
fareeq̣am
a group
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
أُوتُواْ
ʹootul
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
يَرُدُّوكُم
yaruddookum̃
they will turn you back
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ
ʹeemaanikum
your belief
كَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
(as) disbelievers
١٠٠
Page 63
3:101
وَكَيۡفَ
Wa-kayfa
And how (could)
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuroona
you disbelieve
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
while [you]
تُتۡلَىٰ
tutlaa
is recited
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
ءَايَٰتُ
ʹAayaatul
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَفِيكُمۡ
wa-feekum
and among you
رَسُولُهُۥۗ
Rasooluh?
(is) His Messenger
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَعۡتَصِم
yaʻtaṣim̃
holds firmly
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-laahi
to Allah
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then surely
هُدِيَ
hudiya
he is guided
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
صِرَٰطٖ
Ṣiraaṭim
a path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
straight
١٠١
3:102
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanut
believe[d]
ٱتَّقُواْ
taq̣ul
Fear
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
حَقَّ
ḥaq̣q̣a
(as is His) right
تُقَاتِهِۦ
tuq̣aatihee
(that) He (should) be feared
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَمُوتُنَّ
tamootunna
die
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
وَأَنتُم
wa-ʹañtum
[while you]
مُّسۡلِمُونَ
Muslimoon.
(as) Muslims
١٠٢
3:103
وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ
Waʻtaṣimoo
And hold firmly
بِحَبۡلِ
bi-Ḥablil
to (the) rope
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
جَمِيعٗا
jameeʻañw
all together
وَلَا
walaa
and (do) not
تَفَرَّقُواْۚ
tafarraq̣oo.
be divided
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
Waẓkuroo
And remember
نِعۡمَتَ
niʻmatal
(the) Favor
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
on you
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
أَعۡدَآءٗ
ʹaʻdaaaʹañ
enemies
فَأَلَّفَ
faʹallafa
then He made friendship
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
قُلُوبِكُمۡ
q̣uloobikum
your hearts
فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم
faʹaṣbaḥtum̃
then you became
بِنِعۡمَتِهِۦٓ
biniʻmatiheee
by His Favor
إِخۡوَٰنٗا
ʹikhwaanaa;
brothers
وَكُنتُمۡ
wa-kuñtum
And you were
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
شَفَا
shafaa
(the) brink
حُفۡرَةٖ
ḥufratim
(of) pit
مِّنَ
minan
of
ٱلنَّارِ
naari
the Fire
فَأَنقَذَكُم
faʹañq̣aẓakum
then He saved you
مِّنۡهَاۗ
minhaa.
from it
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُبَيِّنُ
yubayyinul
makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His Verses
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَهۡتَدُونَ
tahtadoon.
(be) guided
١٠٣
3:104
وَلۡتَكُن
Waltakum
And let there be
مِّنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
أُمَّةٞ
ʹUmmatuñy
[a] people
يَدۡعُونَ
yadʻoona
inviting
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡخَيۡرِ
khayri
the good
وَيَأۡمُرُونَ
wa-yaʹmuroona
[and] enjoining
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-maʻroofi
the right
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
wa-yan-hawna
and forbidding
عَنِ
ʻanil
from
ٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ
muñkar:
the wrong
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
and those
هُمُ
humul
they
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
mufliḥoon.
(are) the successful ones
١٠٤
3:105
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَكُونُواْ
takoonoo
be
كَٱلَّذِينَ
kallaẓeena
like those who
تَفَرَّقُواْ
tafarraq̣oo
became divided
وَٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
wakhtalafoo
and differed
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَا
maa-
what
جَآءَهُمُ
jaaaʹahumul
came to them
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُۚ
Bayyinaat:
the clear proofs
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaʹika
And those
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻa-Z̤̣aabun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great
١٠٥
3:106
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(On the) Day
تَبۡيَضُّ
tabyaḍḍu
would become white
وُجُوهٞ
wujoohuñw
(some) faces
وَتَسۡوَدُّ
wataswaddu
and would become black
وُجُوهٞۚ
wujooh:
(some) faces
فَأَمَّا
faʹammal
As for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those whose
ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ
waddat
turn black
وُجُوهُهُمۡ
wujoohum:
[their] faces
أَكَفَرۡتُم
ʹakafartum̃
Did you disbelieve
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ
ʹeemaanikum
your belief
فَذُوقُواْ
faẓooq̣ul
Then taste
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
the punishment
بِمَا
bimaa
for what
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuroon?
disbelieve
١٠٦
3:107
وَأَمَّا
Wa-ʹammal
But as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenab
those whose
ٱبۡيَضَّتۡ
biyaḍḍat
turn white
وُجُوهُهُمۡ
wujoohuhum
[their] faces
فَفِي
fafee
then (they will be) in
رَحۡمَةِ
raḥmatil
(the) Mercy
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah:
(of) Allah
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaalidoon.
(will) abide forever
١٠٧
3:108
تِلۡكَ
Tilka
These
ءَايَٰتُ
ʹAayaatul
(are the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
نَتۡلُوهَا
natloohaa
We recite them
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
to you
بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣.
in truth
وَمَا
Wa-mal
And not
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
wants
ظُلۡمٗا
z̤̣ulmal
injustice
لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
lilʻaalameen.
to the worlds
١٠٨
Page 64
3:109
وَلِلَّهِ
Walillaahi
And to Allah (belongs)
مَا
maa-
whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
ʹarḍ:
the earth
وَإِلَى
wa-ʹilal
And to
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
تُرۡجَعُ
turjaʻul
will be returned
ٱلۡأُمُورُ
ʹumoor.
the matters
١٠٩
3:110
كُنتُمۡ
Kuñtum
You are
خَيۡرَ
khayra
(the) best
أُمَّةٍ
ʹummatin
(of) people
أُخۡرِجَتۡ
ʹukhrijat
raised
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for the mankind
تَأۡمُرُونَ
taʹmuroona
enjoining
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bilmaʻroofi
the right
وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ
wa-tanhawna
and forbidding
عَنِ
ʻanil
[from]
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
muñkari
the wrong
وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ
wa-tuʹminoona
and believing
بِٱللَّهِۗ
billaah.
in Allah
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
أَهۡلُ
ʹAhlul
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
لَكَانَ
lakaana
surely would have been
خَيۡرٗا
khayral
good
لَّهُمۚ
lahum:
for them
مِّنۡهُمُ
minhumul
Among them
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
muʹminoona
(are) [the] believers
وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ
wa-ʹaks̤aru-humul
but most of them
ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
faasiq̣oon.
(are) defiantly disobedient
١١٠
3:111
لَن
Lañy
Never
يَضُرُّوكُمۡ
yaḍurrookum
will they harm you
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَذٗىۖ
ʹaẓaaa;
a hurt
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
And if
يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ
yuq̣aatilookum
they fight you
يُوَلُّوكُمُ
yuwal-lookumul
they will turn (towards) you
ٱلۡأَدۡبَارَ
ʹadbaar.
the backs
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
then
لَا
laa-
not
يُنصَرُونَ
yuñṣaroon.
they will be helped
١١١
3:112
ضُرِبَتۡ
Ḍuribat
Struck
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimuẓ
on them
ٱلذِّلَّةُ
ẓillatu
the humiliation
أَيۡنَ
ʹayna
wherever
مَا
maa-
that
ثُقِفُوٓاْ
s̤uq̣ifooo
they are found
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
بِحَبۡلٖ
bi-Ḥablim
with a rope
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَحَبۡلٖ
wa-Ḥablim
and a rope
مِّنَ
minan
from
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
وَبَآءُو
wa-baaaʹoo
And they incurred
بِغَضَبٖ
big̣aḍabim
wrath
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَضُرِبَتۡ
wa-ḍuribat
and struck
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimul
on them
ٱلۡمَسۡكَنَةُۚ
maskanah.
the poverty
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
biʹannahum
(is) because
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَكۡفُرُونَ
yakfuroona
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
in (the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَيَقۡتُلُونَ
wa-yaq̣tuloonal
and they killed
ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ
ʹambiyaaaʹa
the Prophets
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
حَقّٖۚ
ḥaq̣q̣;
right
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
That
بِمَا
bimaa
(is) because
عَصَواْ
ʻaṣaw
they disobeyed
وَّكَانُواْ
Wakaanoo
and they used to
يَعۡتَدُونَ
yaʻtadoon.
transgress
١١٢
3:113
۞لَيۡسُواْ
Laysoo
They are not
سَوَآءٗۗ
sawaaaʹaa.
(the) same
مِّنۡ
Min
among
أَهۡلِ
ʹAhlil
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
أُمَّةٞ
ʹummatuñ
(is) a community
قَآئِمَةٞ
q̣aaaʹimatuñy
standing
يَتۡلُونَ
yatloona
(and) reciting
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
ءَانَآءَ
ʹaanaaaʹal
(in the) hours
ٱلَّيۡلِ
layli
(of) the night
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
and they
يَسۡجُدُونَ
yasjudoon.
prostrate
١١٣
3:114
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
Yuʹminoona
They believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
the Last
وَيَأۡمُرُونَ
wa-yaʹmuroona
and they enjoin
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bilmaʻroofi
[with] the right
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
wa-yanhawna
and forbid
عَنِ
ʻanil
[from]
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
muñkari
the wrong
وَيُسَٰرِعُونَ
wa-yusaariʻoona
and they hasten
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۖ
khayrat:
the good deeds
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
And those
مِنَ
minañ
(are) from
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Ṣaaliḥeen.
the righteous
١١٤
3:115
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And whatever
يَفۡعَلُواْ
yafʻaloo
they do
مِنۡ
miñ
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayriñ
a good
فَلَن
falañy
then never
يُكۡفَرُوهُۗ
yukfarooh:
will they be denied it
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-laahu
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
ʻAleemum
(is) All-Knowing
بِٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
bil-Muttaq̣een.
of the God-fearing
١١٥
Page 65
3:116
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
لَن
lañ
never
تُغۡنِيَ
tug̣niya
will avail
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
[for] them
أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ
ʹamwaaluhum
their wealth
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَوۡلَٰدُهُم
ʹawlaaduhum
their children
مِّنَ
minal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
شَيۡـٔٗاۖ
shayʹaa:
anything
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
waʹulaaaʹika
and those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabun
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِۖ
Naari
(of) the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaalidoon.
(will) abide forever
١١٦
3:117
مَثَلُ
Mas̤alu
Example
مَا
maa-
(of) what
يُنفِقُونَ
yuñfiq̣oona
they spend
فِي
fee
in
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihil
this
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
[the] life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
كَمَثَلِ
kamas̤ali
(is) like (the) example
رِيحٖ
reeḥiñ
(of) a wind
فِيهَا
feeha
in it
صِرٌّ
ṣirrun
(is) frost
أَصَابَتۡ
ʹaṣaabat
it struck
حَرۡثَ
ḥarsa
(the) harvest
قَوۡمٖ
q̣awmiñ
(of) a people
ظَلَمُوٓاْ
z̤̣alamooo
who wronged
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
فَأَهۡلَكَتۡهُۚ
faʹahlakath.
then destroyed it
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
ظَلَمَهُمُ
z̤̣alamahumul
(has) wronged them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
وَلَٰكِنۡ
wa-laakin
[and] but
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yaz̤̣limoon.
they wronged
١١٧
