36:28
۞وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And not
أَنزَلۡنَا
ʹañzalnaa
We sent down
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
upon
قَوۡمِهِۦ
Q̣awmihee
his people
مِنۢ
mim
after him
بَعۡدِهِۦ
baʻdihee
after him
مِن
miñ
any
جُندٖ
juñdim
host
مِّنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the heaven
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كُنَّا
kunnaa
were We
مُنزِلِينَ
muñzileen.
(to) send down
٢٨
36:29
إِن
ʹIñ
Not
كَانَتۡ
kaanat
it was
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
صَيۡحَةٗ
ṣayḥatañw
a shout
وَٰحِدَةٗ
waaḥidatañ
one
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
then behold
هُمۡ
hum
They
خَٰمِدُونَ
khaamidoon.
(were) extinguished
٢٩
36:30
يَٰحَسۡرَةً
Yaa-ḥasratan
Alas
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱلۡعِبَادِۚ
ʻibaad!
the servants
مَا
Maa-
Not
يَأۡتِيهِم
yaʹteehim
came to them
مِّن
mir
any
رَّسُولٍ
rasoolin
Messenger
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they did
بِهِۦ
bihee
mock at him
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon!
mock at him
٣٠
36:31
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
كَمۡ
kam
how many
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
ʹahlaknaa
We destroyed
قَبۡلَهُم
q̣ablahum
before them
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقُرُونِ
q̣urooni
the generations
أَنَّهُمۡ
ʹannahum
That they
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
لَا
laa-ʹ
will not return
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon?
will not return
٣١
36:32
وَإِن
Waʹiñ
And surely
كُلّٞ
kullul
all
لَّمَّا
lammaa
then
جَمِيعٞ
jameeʻul
together
لَّدَيۡنَا
ladaynaa
before Us
مُحۡضَرُونَ
muḥḍaroon.
(will be) brought
٣٢
36:33
وَءَايَةٞ
Wa-ʹAayatul
And a Sign
لَّهُمُ
lahumul
for them
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍul
(is) the earth
ٱلۡمَيۡتَةُ
maytah:
dead
أَحۡيَيۡنَٰهَا
ʹaḥyaynaahaa
We give it life
وَأَخۡرَجۡنَا
wa-ʹakhrajnaa
and We bring forth
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from it
حَبّٗا
ḥabbañ
grain
فَمِنۡهُ
faminhu
and from it
يَأۡكُلُونَ
yaʹkuloon.
they eat
٣٣
36:34
وَجَعَلۡنَا
Wa-jaʻalnaa
And We placed
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannaatim
gardens
مِّن
min
of
نَّخِيلٖ
nakheeliñw
date-palms
وَأَعۡنَٰبٖ
waʹaʻnaabiñw
and grapevines
وَفَجَّرۡنَا
wafajjarnaa
and We caused to gush forth
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡعُيُونِ
ʻuyoon:
the springs
٣٤
36:35
لِيَأۡكُلُواْ
Liyaʹkuloo
That they may eat
مِن
miñ
of
ثَمَرِهِۦ
s̤amarihee,
its fruit
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
عَمِلَتۡهُ
ʻamilathu
made it
أَيۡدِيهِمۡۚ
ʹaydeehim:
their hands
أَفَلَا
ʹafalaa
So will not
يَشۡكُرُونَ
yashkuroon?
they be grateful
٣٥
36:36
سُبۡحَٰنَ
Subḥaanal
Glory be
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(to) the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣al
created
ٱلۡأَزۡوَٰجَ
ʹazwaaja
(in) pairs
كُلَّهَا
kullahaa
all
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تُنۢبِتُ
tumbitul
grows
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍu
the earth
وَمِنۡ
wa-min
and of
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
ʹañfusihim
themselves
وَمِمَّا
Wamimmaa
and of what
لَا
laa-
not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon.
they know
٣٦
36:37
وَءَايَةٞ
Wa-ʹAayatul
And a Sign
لَّهُمُ
lahumul
for them
ٱلَّيۡلُ
Laylu
(is) the night
نَسۡلَخُ
naslakhu
We withdraw
مِنۡهُ
minhun
from it
ٱلنَّهَارَ
Nahaara
the day
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
Then behold
هُم
hum
They
مُّظۡلِمُونَ
muz̤̣limoon;
(are) those in darkness
٣٧
36:38
وَٱلشَّمۡسُ
Wash-Shamsu
And the sun
تَجۡرِي
tajree
runs
لِمُسۡتَقَرّٖ
limustaq̣arril
to a term appointed
لَّهَاۚ
lahaa:
for it
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
That
تَقۡدِيرُ
taq̣deerul
(is the) Decree
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
ʻAzeezil
(of) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡعَلِيمِ
ʻAleem.
the All-Knowing
٣٨
36:39
وَٱلۡقَمَرَ
Wal-Q̣amara
And the moon
قَدَّرۡنَٰهُ
q̣addarnaahu
We have ordained for it
مَنَازِلَ
manaazila
phases
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
عَادَ
ʻaada
it returns
كَٱلۡعُرۡجُونِ
kalʻurjoonil
like the date stalk
ٱلۡقَدِيمِ
q̣adeem.
the old
٣٩
36:40
لَا
Lash
Not
ٱلشَّمۡسُ
Shamsu
the sun
يَنۢبَغِي
yambag̣ee
is permitted
لَهَآ
lahaaa
for it
أَن
ʹañ
that
تُدۡرِكَ
tudrikal
it overtakes
ٱلۡقَمَرَ
Q̣amara
the moon
وَلَا
wa-lal
and not
ٱلَّيۡلُ
Laylu
the night
سَابِقُ
saabiq̣un
(can) outstrip
ٱلنَّهَارِۚ
Nahaar:
the day
وَكُلّٞ
wa-kulluñ
but all
فِي
fee
in
فَلَكٖ
falakiñy
an orbit
يَسۡبَحُونَ
yasbaḥoon.
they are floating

وَءَايَةٞ
Wa-ʹAayatul
And a Sign
لَّهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَنَّا
ʹannaa
(is) that
حَمَلۡنَا
ḥamalnaa
We carried
ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ
ẓurriyyatahum
their offspring
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡفُلۡكِ
fulkil
the ship
ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ
mashḥoon;
laden
٤١
36:42
وَخَلَقۡنَا
Wa-khalaq̣naa
And We created
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
mim
from
مِّثۡلِهِۦ
mis̤lihee
(the) likes of it
مَا
maa-
what
يَرۡكَبُونَ
yarkaboon.
they ride
٤٢
36:43
وَإِن
Wa-ʹin
And if
نَّشَأۡ
nashaʹ
We will
نُغۡرِقۡهُمۡ
nug̣riq̣hum
We could drown them
فَلَا
falaa
then not
صَرِيخَ
ṣareekha
(would be) a responder to a cry
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُنقَذُونَ
yuñq̣aẓoon,
would be saved
٤٣
36:44
إِلَّا
ʹIllaa
Except
رَحۡمَةٗ
Raḥmatam
(by) Mercy
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
وَمَتَٰعًا
wa-mataaʻan
and provision
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
for
حِينٖ
ḥeen.
a time
٤٤
36:45
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
قِيلَ
q̣eela
it is said
لَهُمُ
lahumut
to them
ٱتَّقُواْ
taq̣oo
Fear
مَا
Maa-
what
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(is) before you
أَيۡدِيكُمۡ
ʹaydeekum
(is) before you
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
خَلۡفَكُمۡ
khalfakum
(is) behind you
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تُرۡحَمُونَ
turḥamoon.
receive mercy
٤٥
36:46
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
تَأۡتِيهِم
taʹteehim
comes to them
مِّنۡ
min
of
ءَايَةٖ
ʹAayatim
a Sign
مِّنۡ
min
from
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaati
(the) Signs
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
(of) their Lord
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they
عَنۡهَا
ʻanhaa
from it
مُعۡرِضِينَ
muʻriḍeen.
turn away
٤٦
36:47
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
قِيلَ
q̣eela
it is said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
أَنفِقُواْ
ʹañfiq̣oo
Spend
مِمَّا
mimmaa
from what
رَزَقَكُمُ
razaq̣akumul
(has) provided you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
قَالَ
q̣aalal
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
to those who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
ʹaamanooo
believed
أَنُطۡعِمُ
ʹanuṭʻimu
Should we feed
مَن
mal
whom
لَّوۡ
law
if
يَشَآءُ
yashaaaʹul
Allah willed
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah willed
أَطۡعَمَهُۥٓ
ʹaṭʻamah?―
He would have fed him
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Not
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
(are) you
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.
clear
٤٧
36:48
وَيَقُولُونَ
Wa-yaq̣ooloona
And they say
مَتَىٰ
mataa
When (is)
هَٰذَا
haaẓal
this
ٱلۡوَعۡدُ
waʻdu
promise
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een?
truthful
٤٨
36:49
مَا
Maa-
Not
يَنظُرُونَ
yañz̤̣uroona
they await
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
صَيۡحَةٗ
Ṣayḥatañw
a shout
وَٰحِدَةٗ
waaḥidatañ
one
تَأۡخُذُهُمۡ
taʹkhuẓuhum
it will seize them
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
while they
يَخِصِّمُونَ
yakhiṣṣimoon!
are disputing
٤٩
36:50
فَلَا
Falaa
Then not
يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭeeʻoona
they will be able
تَوۡصِيَةٗ
taw-ṣiyatañw
(to) make a will
وَلَآ
walaaa
and not
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
to
أَهۡلِهِمۡ
ʹahlihim
their people
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon!
they (can) return
٥٠
36:51
وَنُفِخَ
Wa-nufikha
And will be blown
فِي
fiṣ
[in]
ٱلصُّورِ
Ṣoori
the trumpet
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
and behold
هُم
hum
They
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ
ʹajdaas̤i
the graves
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
يَنسِلُونَ
yañsiloon!
[they] will hasten
٥١
36:52
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They [will] say
يَٰوَيۡلَنَا
yaa-waylanaa
O woe to us
مَنۢ
mam
Who
بَعَثَنَا
baʻas̤anaa
has raised us
مِن
mim
from
مَّرۡقَدِنَاۜۗ
marq̣adinaa
our sleeping place
هَٰذَا
Haaẓaa
This (is)
مَا
maa-
What
وَعَدَ
waʻadar
(had) promised
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
Raḥmaanu
the Most Gracious
وَصَدَقَ
waṣadaq̣al
and told (the) truth
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
mursaloon!
the Messengers
