Ayesha (RA) said: The Prophet ﷺ made this dua:
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ رِزْقِكَ عَلَيَّ عِنْدَ كِبَرِ سِنِّيْ وَانْقِطَاعِ عُمُرِيْ
Transliteration
Allaahummaj-‘al awsa’a rizqika ‘alayya ‘inda kibari sinni wan-qitaa’i ‘umuri
Translation
O Allah, make my sustenance the most plentiful in my old age and during the last days of my life.
Dua for Safety from the Torment of the Grave
Ask Allah for comfort when you are old. Abu Huraira said: make duas when life is easy so Allah helps you when you get old. Hadith also teaches us to ask Allah to keep us away from being weak and lazy.
Tell them to say Lailaha illal-lah. Pray Allah forgives them and shows mercy. The family should ask Allah to take the soul gently to Paradise and be kind in the last moments.
