77:1
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ
wal-mur'salati
By the ones sent forth
عُرۡفٗا
ur'fan
one after another
١
By the [winds] sent forth in swift succession
Translation 1260
Al-Mursalat 77:24
surah077
ﲪﲫﲮﲴ
77:2
فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ
fal-'asifati
And the winds that blow
عَصۡفٗا
asfan
violently
٢
violently storming
Translation 1260
77:3
وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ
wal-nashirati
And the ones that scatter
نَشۡرٗا
nashran
far and wide
٣
scattering far and wide
Translation 1260
77:4
فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ
fal-fariqati
And those who separate
فَرۡقٗا
farqan
(by the) Criterion
٤
separating forcefully
Translation 1260
77:5
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ
fal-mul'qiyati
And those who bring down
ذِكۡرًا
dhik'ran
(the) Reminder
٥
delivering a reminder
Translation 1260
77:6
عُذۡرًا
udh'ran
(As) justification
أَوۡ
aw
or
نُذۡرًا
nudh'ran
warning
٦
as a proof or a warning
Translation 1260
77:7
إِنَّمَا
innama
Indeed what
تُوعَدُونَ
tu'aduna
you are promised
لَوَٰقِعٞ
lawaqi'un
will surely occur
٧
what you are promised will come to pass

77:8
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
So when
ٱلنُّجُومُ
al-nujumu
the stars
طُمِسَتۡ
tumisat
are obliterated
٨
When the stars are dimmed
Translation 1260
77:9
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
al-samau
the heaven
فُرِجَتۡ
furijat
is cleft asunder
٩
and the sky is torn apart
Translation 1260
77:10
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
ٱلۡجِبَالُ
al-jibalu
the mountains
نُسِفَتۡ
nusifat
are blown away
١٠
when the mountains are turned to dust

77:11
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
ٱلرُّسُلُ
al-rusulu
the Messengers
أُقِّتَتۡ
uqqitat
are gathered to their appointed time
١١
and the messengers given their appointed time––

77:12
لِأَيِّ
li-ayyi
For what
يَوۡمٍ
yawmin
Day
أُجِّلَتۡ
ujjilat
are (these) postponed
١٢
for what Day has all this been set

77:13
لِيَوۡمِ
liyawmi
For (the) Day
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
al-fasli
(of) Judgment
١٣
The Day of Decision
Translation 1260
77:14
وَمَآ
wama
And what
أَدۡرَىٰكَ
adraka
will make you know
مَا
ma
what
يَوۡمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
al-fasli
(of) the Judgment
١٤
What will explain to you what the Day of Decision is

وَيۡلٞ
waylun
Woe
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibina
to the deniers
١٥
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth

77:16
أَلَمۡ
alam
Did not
نُهۡلِكِ
nuh'liki
We destroy
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
al-awalina
the former (people)
١٦
Did We not destroy the first [of them]
Translation 1260
77:17
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
نُتۡبِعُهُمُ
nut'bi'uhumu
We follow them up
ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
al-akhirina
(with) the later ones
١٧
We shall make the last follow them

77:18
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
نَفۡعَلُ
naf 'alu
We deal
بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
bil-muj'rimina
with the criminals
١٨
this is how We deal with the guilty

وَيۡلٞ
waylun
Woe
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibina
to the deniers
١٩
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth

أَلَمۡ
alam
Did not
نَخۡلُقكُّم
nakhluqkkum
We create you
مِّن
min
from
مَّآءٖ
main
a water
مَّهِينٖ
mahinin
despicable
٢٠
Did We not make you from an underrated fluid

77:21
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
faja'alnahu
Then We placed it
فِي
fi
in
قَرَارٖ
qararin
an abode
مَّكِينٍ
makinin
safe
٢١
which We housed in a safe lodging
Translation 1260
77:22
إِلَىٰ
ila
For
قَدَرٖ
qadarin
a period
مَّعۡلُومٖ
ma'lumin
known
٢٢
for a determined period
Translation 1260
77:23
فَقَدَرۡنَا
faqadarna
So We measured
فَنِعۡمَ
fani'ma
and Best
ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ
al-qadiruna
(are We to) measure
٢٣
We determine [it]: how excellently We determine

وَيۡلٞ
waylun
Woe
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
lil'mukadhibina
to the deniers
٢٤
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth

أَلَمۡ
alam
Have not
نَجۡعَلِ
naj'ali
We made
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
the earth
كِفَاتًا
kifatan
a receptacle
٢٥
Did We not make the earth a home
