74:48فَمَاFamaaThen notتَنفَعُهُمۡtañfaʻuhumwill benefit themشَفَٰعَةُshafaaʻatushintercessionٱلشَّٰفِعِينَshaafiʻeen.(of) the intercessors٤٨
74:49فَمَاFamaaThen whatلَهُمۡlahum(is) for themعَنِʻanit(that) fromٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِtaẓkiratithe Reminderمُعۡرِضِينَmuʻriḍeen,they (are) turning away٤٩
74:50كَأَنَّهُمۡKaʹannahumAs if they (were)حُمُرٞḥumurumdonkeysمُّسۡتَنفِرَةٞmustañfirah,frightened٥٠
74:52بَلۡBalNayيُرِيدُyureeduDesiresكُلُّkullumeveryٱمۡرِيٕٖriʹimpersonمِّنۡهُمۡminhumof themأَنʹañythatيُؤۡتَىٰyuʹtaahe may be givenصُحُفٗاṣuḥufampagesمُّنَشَّرَةٗmunashsharah!spread out٥٢
74:53كـَلَّاۖKaallaa!NayبَلBalButلَّاlaa-notيَخَافُونَyakhaafoonalthey fearٱلۡأٓخِرَةَʹAakhirah.the Hereafter٥٣
74:56وَمَاWa-maaAnd notيَذۡكُرُونَyaẓkuroonawill pay heedإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَنʹañythatيَشَآءَyashaaaʹalwillsٱللَّهُۚlaah:AllahهُوَHuwaHeأَهۡلُʹAhlut(is) worthyٱلتَّقۡوَىٰtaq̣waato be fearedوَأَهۡلُwa-ʹAhluland worthyٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِMag̣firah.to forgive٥٦
75:1لَآLaaaNayأُقۡسِمُʹuq̣simuI swearبِيَوۡمِbi-Yawmilby (the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِQ̣iyaamah;(of) the Resurrection١
75:2وَلَآWa-laaaAnd nayأُقۡسِمُʹuq̣simuI swearبِٱلنَّفۡسِbin-nafsilby the soulٱللَّوَّامَةِlawwaamah.self-accusing٢
75:3أَيَحۡسَبُʹAyaḥsabulDoes thinkٱلۡإِنسَٰنُʹiñsaanu[the] manأَلَّنʹal-lanthat notنَّجۡمَعَnajmaʻaWe will assembleعِظَامَهُۥʻiz̤̣aamah?his bones٣
75:4بَلَىٰBallaaNayقَٰدِرِينَQ̣aadireena(We are) AbleعَلَىٰٓʻalaaaonأَنʹanthatنُّسَوِّيَnusawwiyaWe can restoreبَنَانَهُۥbanaanah.his fingertips٤
75:5بَلۡBalNayيُرِيدُyureedulDesiresٱلۡإِنسَٰنُʹIñsaanu[the] manلِيَفۡجُرَliyafjurato give (the) lieأَمَامَهُۥʹamaamah.(to) what is before him٥
75:6يَسۡـَٔلُYasʹaluHe asksأَيَّانَʹayyaanaWhenيَوۡمُYawmul(is the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِQ̣IYAAMAH?(of) the Resurrection٦
75:10يَقُولُYaq̣oolulWill sayٱلۡإِنسَٰنُʹiñsaanu[the] manيَوۡمَئِذٍYaw-maʹiẓinthat DayأَيۡنَʹaynalWhereٱلۡمَفَرُّmafarr?(is) the escape١٠
75:12إِلَىٰʹIlaaToرَبِّكَRabbikayour LordيَوۡمَئِذٍYawmaʹiẓinilthat Dayٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّmustaq̣arr.(is) the place of rest١٢
75:13يُنَبَّؤُاْYunabbaʹulWill be informedٱلۡإِنسَٰنُʹiñsaanu[the] manيَوۡمَئِذِۭYawmaʹiẓimthat Dayبِمَاbimaaof whatقَدَّمَq̣addamahe sent forthوَأَخَّرَwa-ʹakhkhar.and kept back١٣
75:14بَلِBalilNayٱلۡإِنسَٰنُʹiñsaanu[The] manعَلَىٰʻalaaagainstنَفۡسِهِۦnafsiheehimselfبَصِيرَةٞbaṣeerah,(will be) a witness١٤
75:16لَاLaa-Notتُحَرِّكۡtuḥarrikmoveبِهِۦbiheewith itلِسَانَكَlisaanakayour tongueلِتَعۡجَلَlitaʻjalato hastenبِهِۦٓbih.with it١٦
75:17إِنَّʹInnaIndeedعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaupon Usجَمۡعَهُۥjamʻahoo(is) its collectionوَقُرۡءَانَهُۥwa-q̣urʹaanah:and its recitation١٧
75:18فَإِذَاFaʹiẓaaAnd whenقَرَأۡنَٰهُq̣araʹnaahuWe have recited itفَٱتَّبِعۡfattabiʻthen followقُرۡءَانَهُۥq̣ur-ʹaanah:its recitation١٨
75:19ثُمَّS̤ummaThenإِنَّʹinnaindeedعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaupon Usبَيَانَهُۥbayaanah:(is) its explanation١٩
