51:8إِنَّكُمۡʹInnakumIndeed youلَفِيlafee(are) surely inقَوۡلٖq̣awlima speechمُّخۡتَلِفٖmukhtalif.differing٨
51:11ٱلَّذِينَʹAllaẓeenaThose whoهُمۡhum[they]فِيfee(are) inغَمۡرَةٖg̣amratiñfloodسَاهُونَsaahoon:(of) heedlessness١١
51:12يَسۡـَٔلُونَYasʹaloonaThey askأَيَّانَʹayyaanaWhenيَوۡمُYawmud(is the) DayٱلدِّينِDeen?(of) Judgment١٢
51:13يَوۡمَYawmaA DayهُمۡhumtheyعَلَىʻalanoverٱلنَّارِNaarithe Fireيُفۡتَنُونَyuftanoon!will be tried١٣
51:14ذُوقُواْẒooq̣ooTasteفِتۡنَتَكُمۡfitnatakum!your trialهَٰذَاHaa-ẓalThisٱلَّذِيlaẓee(is) whatكُنتُمkuñtum̃you wereبِهِۦbiheefor itتَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَtas-taʻjiloon!seeking to hasten١٤
51:15إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلۡمُتَّقِينَMuttaq̣eenathe righteousفِيfee(will be) inجَنَّٰتٖJannaatiñwGardensوَعُيُونٍWaʻuyoon,and springs١٥
51:16ءَاخِذِينَʹAakhiẓeenaTakingمَآmaaawhatءَاتَىٰهُمۡʹaataahumtheir Lord has given themرَبُّهُمۡۚRabbuhum:their Lord has given themإِنَّهُمۡʹinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkaanoowereقَبۡلَq̣ablabeforeذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatمُحۡسِنِينَMuḥsineen.good-doers١٦
51:17كَانُواْKaanooThey used toقَلِيلٗاq̣aleelamlittleمِّنَminalofٱلَّيۡلِlaylithe nightمَاmaa-[what]يَهۡجَعُونَyahjaʻoon:sleep١٧
51:18وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِWa-bilʹasḥaariAnd in the hours before dawnهُمۡhumtheyيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَyastag̣firoon:would ask forgiveness١٨
51:19وَفِيٓWa-feeeAnd inأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡʹamwaalihimtheir wealthحَقّٞḥaq̣q̣ul(was the) rightلِّلسَّآئِلِlissaaaʹili(of) those who askedوَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِwalmaḥroom.and the deprived١٩
51:20وَفِيWa-filAnd inٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthءَايَٰتٞʹAayaatul(are) signsلِّلۡمُوقِنِينَlil-Mooq̣ineen,for those who are certain٢٠
51:21وَفِيٓWa-feeeAnd inأَنفُسِكُمۡۚʹañfusikumyourselvesأَفَلَاʹafalaaThen will notتُبۡصِرُونَtubṣiroon?you see٢١
51:22وَفِيWa-fisAnd inٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe heavenرِزۡقُكُمۡRizq̣ukum(is) your provisionوَمَاwa-maaand whatتُوعَدُونَtooʻadoon.you are promised٢٢
51:23فَوَرَبِّFawa-RabbisThen by (the) Lordٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹi(of) the heavenوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooindeed itلَحَقّٞla-Ḥaq̣q̣um(is) surely (the) truthمِّثۡلَmis̤la(just) asمَآmaaa[what]أَنَّكُمۡʹannakumyouتَنطِقُونَtañṭiq̣oon.speak٢٣
51:24هَلۡHalHasأَتَىٰكَʹataakareached youحَدِيثُḥadees̤u(the) narrationضَيۡفِḍayfi(of the) guestsإِبۡرَٰهِيمَʹibraaheemal(of) Ibrahimٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَmukrameen?the honored٢٤
51:25إِذۡʹIẓWhenدَخَلُواْdakhaloothey enteredعَلَيۡهِʻalayhiupon himفَقَالُواْfaq̣aalooand saidسَلَٰمٗاۖSalaamaa!PeaceقَالَQ̣aalaHe saidسَلَٰمٞSalaam!PeaceقَوۡمٞQ̣awmuma peopleمُّنكَرُونَmuñkaroon.unknown٢٥
51:26فَرَاغَFaraag̣aThen he wentإِلَىٰٓʹilaaatoأَهۡلِهِۦʹahliheehis householdفَجَآءَfajaaaʹaand cameبِعِجۡلٖbiʻijliñwith a calfسَمِينٖsameen,fat٢٦
51:27فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓFaq̣arrabahoooAnd he placed it nearإِلَيۡهِمۡʹilayhim[to] themقَالَQ̣aalahe saidأَلَاʹalaaWill notتَأۡكُلُونَtaʹkuloon?you eat٢٧
51:28فَأَوۡجَسَFaʹawjasaThen he feltمِنۡهُمۡminhumfrom themخِيفَةٗۖkheefaḥa fearقَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidلَاlaa-(Do) notتَخَفۡۖtakhaf!fearوَبَشَّرُوهُwa-bashsharoohuand they gave him glad tidingsبِغُلَٰمٍbig̣ulaaminof a sonعَلِيمٖʻaleem.learned٢٨
51:29فَأَقۡبَلَتِFaʹaq̣balatimThen came forwardٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥraʹatuhoohis wifeفِيfeewithصَرَّةٖṣarratiña loud voiceفَصَكَّتۡfaṣakkatand struckوَجۡهَهَاwajhahaaher faceوَقَالَتۡwa-q̣aalatand she saidعَجُوزٌʻajoozunAn old womanعَقِيمٞʻaq̣eem!barren٢٩
51:30قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidكَذَٰلِكِkaẓaalikiThusقَالَq̣aalasaidرَبُّكِۖRabbuk:your LordإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooIndeed HeهُوَHuwal[He]ٱلۡحَكِيمُḤakeemul(is) the All-WiseٱلۡعَلِيمُʻAleem.the All-Knower٣٠
