42:32
وَمِنۡ
Wa-min
And among
ءَايَٰتِهِ
ʹAayaatihil
His Signs
ٱلۡجَوَارِ
jawaari
(are) the ships
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
baḥri
the sea
كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
kal-ʹaʻlaam.
like [the] mountains
٣٢
42:33
إِن
ʹIñy
If
يَشَأۡ
yashaʹ
He wills
يُسۡكِنِ
yuskinir
He can cause the wind to become still
ٱلرِّيحَ
reeḥa
He can cause the wind to become still
فَيَظۡلَلۡنَ
fayaz̤̣lalna
then they would remain
رَوَاكِدَ
rawaakida
motionless
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
ظَهۡرِهِۦٓۚ
z̤̣ahrih.
its back
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
فِي
fee
in
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لَأٓيَٰتٖ
laʹAayaatil
surely (are) Signs
لِّكُلِّ
likulli
for everyone
صَبَّارٖ
ṣabbariñ
patient
شَكُورٍ
shakoor.
(and) grateful
٣٣
42:34
أَوۡ
ʹAw
Or
يُوبِقۡهُنَّ
yoobiq̣hunna
He could destroy them
بِمَا
bimaa
for what
كَسَبُواْ
kasaboo
they have earned
وَيَعۡفُ
wa-yaʻfu
but He pardons
عَن
ʻañ
[from]
كَثِيرٖ
kas̤eer.
much
٣٤
42:35
وَيَعۡلَمَ
Wa-yaʻlamal
And may know
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujaadiloona
dispute
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
ءَايَٰتِنَا
Aayaatinaa,
Our Signs
مَا
maa-ʹ
(that) not
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
mim
any
مَّحِيصٖ
maḥeeṣ.
place of refuge
٣٥
42:36
فَمَآ
Famaaa
So whatever
أُوتِيتُم
ʹooteetum
you are given
مِّن
miñ
of
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
a thing
فَمَتَٰعُ
famataaʻul
(is) but a passing enjoyment
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
(for) the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
dunyaa:
(of) the world
وَمَا
wa-maa
But what
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
(is) with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
خَيۡرٞ
khayruñw
(is) better
وَأَبۡقَىٰ
waʹabq̣aa
and more lasting
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
for those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَلَىٰ
wa-ʻalaa
and upon
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
yatawakkaloon;
put (their) trust
٣٦
42:37
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
يَجۡتَنِبُونَ
yajtaniboona
avoid
كَبَٰٓئِرَ
kabaaaʹiral
(the) greater
ٱلۡإِثۡمِ
ʹis̤mi
sins
وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ
wal-fawaaḥisha
and the immoralities
وَإِذَا
waʹiẓaa
and when
مَا
maa-
and when
غَضِبُواْ
g̣aḍiboo
they are angry
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَغۡفِرُونَ
yag̣firoon;
forgive
٣٧
42:38
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeenas
And those who
ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ
tajaaboo
respond
لِرَبِّهِمۡ
li-Rabbihim
to their Lord
وَأَقَامُواْ
wa-ʹaq̣aamuṣ
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaah;
prayer
وَأَمۡرُهُمۡ
wa-ʹamruhum
and their affairs
شُورَىٰ
SHOORAA
(are conducted by) consultation
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum;
among them
وَمِمَّا
wa-mimmaa
and from what
رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
razaq̣naahum
We have provided them
يُنفِقُونَ
yuñfiq̣oon;
they spend
٣٨
42:39
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
إِذَآ
ʹiẓaaa
when
أَصَابَهُمُ
ʹaṣaabahumul
strikes them
ٱلۡبَغۡيُ
bag̣yu
tyranny
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَنتَصِرُونَ
yañtaṣiroon.
defend themselves
٣٩
42:40
وَجَزَٰٓؤُاْ
Wa-jazaaaʹu
(The) recompense
سَيِّئَةٖ
sayyiʹatiñ
(of) an evil
سَيِّئَةٞ
sayyiʹatum
(is) an evil
مِّثۡلُهَاۖ
mis̤luhaa:
like it
فَمَنۡ
faman
But whoever
عَفَا
ʻafaa
pardons
وَأَصۡلَحَ
wa-ʹaṣlaḥa
and makes reconciliation
فَأَجۡرُهُۥ
faʹajruhoo
then his reward
عَلَى
ʻalal
(is) on
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah:
Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbuz̤̣
like
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen.
the wrongdoers
٤٠
42:41
وَلَمَنِ
Wa-lamaniñ
And surely whosoever
ٱنتَصَرَ
taṣara
defends himself
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
ظُلۡمِهِۦ
z̤̣ulmihee
he has been wronged
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
مَا
maa-
not
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
(is) against them
مِّن
miñ
any
سَبِيلٍ
sabeel.
way
٤١
42:42
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamas
Only
ٱلسَّبِيلُ
sabeelu
the way
عَلَى
ʻalal
against
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yaz̤̣limoonan
oppress
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
the people
وَيَبۡغُونَ
wa-yabg̣oona
and rebel
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayril
without
ٱلۡحَقِّۚ
ḥaq̣q̣:
right
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
Those
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻAẓaabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.
painful
٤٢
42:43
وَلَمَن
Wa-lamañ
And whoever
صَبَرَ
ṣabara
(is) patient
وَغَفَرَ
wa-g̣afara
and forgives
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لَمِنۡ
lamin
(is) surely of
عَزۡمِ
ʻazmil
matters of determination
ٱلۡأُمُورِ
ʹumoor.
matters of determination
٤٣
42:44
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يُضۡلِلِ
yuḍli
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
lillaahu
Allah lets go astray
فَمَا
famaa
then not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِن
miñw
any
وَلِيّٖ
waliyyim
protector
مِّنۢ
mim
after Him
بَعۡدِهِۦۗ
baʻdih.
after Him
وَتَرَى
Wa-taraz̤̣
And you will see
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeena
the wrongdoers
لَمَّا
lammaa
when
رَأَوُاْ
raʹawul
they see
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
the punishment
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloona
saying
هَلۡ
hal
Is
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
(there) for
مَرَدّٖ
maraddim
return
مِّن
miñ
any
سَبِيلٖ
sabeel?
way
٤٤
