وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
يُحَآجُّونَ
yuḥaaajjoona
argue
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَا
mas
[what]
ٱسۡتُجِيبَ
tujeeba
response has been made to Him
لَهُۥ
lahoo
response has been made to Him
حُجَّتُهُمۡ
ḥujjatuhum
their argument
دَاحِضَةٌ
daaḥiḍatun
(is) invalid
عِندَ
ʻiñda
with
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
wa-ʻalayhim
and upon them
غَضَبٞ
g̣aḍabuñw
(is) wrath
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
عَذَابٞ
ʻAẓaabuñ
(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
shadeed.
severe

42:17
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahul
Allah
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(is) the One Who
أَنزَلَ
ʹañzalal
(has) sent down
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣i
in truth
وَٱلۡمِيزَانَۗ
wal-Meezaan.
and the Balance
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And what
يُدۡرِيكَ
yudreeka
will make you know
لَعَلَّ
laʻallas
Perhaps
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
Saaʻata
the Hour
قَرِيبٞ
q̣areeb?
(is) near
١٧
42:18
يَسۡتَعۡجِلُ
Yastaʻjilu
Seek to hasten
بِهَا
bihal
[of] it
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِهَاۖ
bihaa:
in it
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
مُشۡفِقُونَ
mushfiq̣oona
(are) fearful
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
of it
وَيَعۡلَمُونَ
wa-yaʻlamoona
and know
أَنَّهَا
ʹannahal
that it
ٱلۡحَقُّۗ
Ḥaq̣q̣.
(is) the truth
أَلَآ
ʹAlaaa
Unquestionably
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُمَارُونَ
yumaaroona
dispute
فِي
fis
concerning
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
Saaʻati
the Hour
لَفِي
lafee
(are) certainly in
ضَلَٰلِۭ
ḍalaalim
error
بَعِيدٍ
baʻeed.
far
١٨
42:19
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahu
Allah
لَطِيفُۢ
Laṭeefum
(is) Subtle
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
biʻibaadihee
with His slaves
يَرۡزُقُ
yarzuq̣u
He gives provision
مَن
mañy
(to) whom
يَشَآءُۖ
yashaaaʹ:
He wills
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلۡقَوِيُّ
Q̣awiyyul
(is) the All-Strong
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
ʻAzeez.
the All-Mighty
١٩
42:20
مَن
Mañ
Whoever
كَانَ
kaana
is
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
desiring
حَرۡثَ
ḥars̤al
(the) harvest
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
(of) the Hereafter
نَزِدۡ
nazid
We increase
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
فِي
fee
in
حَرۡثِهِۦۖ
ḥars̤ih;
his harvest
وَمَن
wa-mañ
And whoever
كَانَ
kaana
is
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
desiring
حَرۡثَ
ḥars̤ad
(the) harvest
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
نُؤۡتِهِۦ
nuʹtihee
We give him
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
of it
وَمَا
wa-maa
but not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
مِن
min
any
نَّصِيبٍ
naṣeeb.

42:21
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
شُرَكَٰٓؤُاْ
shurakaaaʹu
(are) partners
شَرَعُواْ
sharaʻoo
who have ordained
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّنَ
minad
of
ٱلدِّينِ
Deeni
the religion
مَا
maa-
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَأۡذَنۢ
yaʹẓam
Allah has given permission of it
بِهِ
bihil
Allah has given permission of it
ٱللَّهُۚ
laah?
Allah has given permission of it
وَلَوۡلَا
Wa-lawlaa
And if not
كَلِمَةُ
Kalimatul
(for) a word
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
Faṣli
decisive
لَقُضِيَ
laq̣uḍiya
surely it (would have) been judged
بَيۡنَهُمۡۗ
baynahum.
between them
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinnaz̤̣
And indeed
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeena
the wrongdoers
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻAẓaabun
(is a) punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.
painful
٢١
42:22
تَرَى
Taraz̤̣
You will see
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeena
the wrongdoers
مُشۡفِقِينَ
mushfiq̣eena
fearful
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
كَسَبُواْ
kasaboo
they earned
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
and it
وَاقِعُۢ
waaq̣iʻum
(will) befall
بِهِمۡۗ
bihim.
[on] them
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
righteous deeds
فِي
fee
(will be) in
رَوۡضَاتِ
rawḍaatil
flowering meadows
ٱلۡجَنَّاتِۖ
Jannaat:
(of) the Gardens
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مَّا
maa
(is) whatever
يَشَآءُونَ
yashaaaʹoona
they wish
عِندَ
ʻiñda
with
رَبِّهِمۡۚ
Rabbihim.
their Lord
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
هُوَ
huwal
it
ٱلۡفَضۡلُ
Faḍlul
(is) the Bounty
ٱلۡكَبِيرُ
Kabeer.
