it earned
لَا

No
ظُلۡمَ

injustice
ٱلۡيَوۡمَۚ
al-yawma
today
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
سَرِيعُ
sari'u
(is) Swift
ٱلۡحِسَابِ
al-hisabi
(in) Account
١٧
40:18
وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ
wa-andhir'hum
And warn them
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(of the) Day
ٱلۡأٓزِفَةِ
al-azifati
the Approaching
إِذِ
idhi
when
ٱلۡقُلُوبُ
al-qulubu
the hearts
لَدَى
lada
(are) at
ٱلۡحَنَاجِرِ
al-hanajiri
the throats
كَٰظِمِينَۚ
kazimina
choked
مَا
ma
Not
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
lilzzalimina
for the wrongdoers
مِنۡ
min
any
حَمِيمٖ
hamimin
intimate friend
وَلَا
wala
and no
شَفِيعٖ
shafi'in
intercessor
يُطَاعُ
yuta'u
(who) is obeyed
١٨
40:19
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
He knows
خَآئِنَةَ
khainata
(the) stealthy glance
ٱلۡأَعۡيُنِ
al-a'yuni
(the) stealthy glance
وَمَا
wama
and what
تُخۡفِي
tukh'fi
conceal
ٱلصُّدُورُ
al-suduru
the breasts
١٩
40:20
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَقۡضِي
yaqdi
judges
بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ
bil-haqi
in truth
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
while those (whom)
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
they invoke
مِن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦ
dunihi
besides Him
لَا
la
not
يَقۡضُونَ
yaqduna
they judge
بِشَيۡءٍۗ
bishayin
with anything
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
al-basiru
the All-Seer
٢٠
40:21
۞أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Do not
يَسِيرُواْ
yasiru
they travel
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
فَيَنظُرُواْ
fayanzuru
and see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
مِن
min
before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
qablihim
before them
كَانُواْ
kanu
They were
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
أَشَدَّ
ashadda
superior
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
to them
قُوَّةٗ
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَءَاثَارٗا
waatharan
and (in) impressions
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
fa-akhadhahumu
but Allah seized them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
but Allah seized them
بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ
bidhunubihim
for their sins
وَمَا
wama
and not
كَانَ
kana
was
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّنَ
mina
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مِن
min
any
وَاقٖ
waqin
protector
٢١
40:22
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(was) because [they]
كَانَت
kanat
used to come to them
تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ
tatihim
used to come to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
فَكَفَرُواْ
fakafaru
but they disbelieved
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
fa-akhadhahumu
So Allah seized them
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
So Allah seized them
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
قَوِيّٞ
qawiyyun
(is) All-Strong
شَدِيدُ
shadidu
severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
al-'iqabi
(in) punishment
٢٢
40:23
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalna
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
with Our Signs
وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ
wasul'tanin
and an authority
مُّبِينٍ
mubinin
clear
٢٣
40:24
إِلَىٰ
ila
To
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
وَهَٰمَٰنَ
wahamana
Haman
وَقَٰرُونَ
waqaruna
and Qarun
فَقَالُواْ
faqalu
but they said
سَٰحِرٞ
sahirun
A magician
كَذَّابٞ
kadhabun
a liar
٢٤
40:25
فَلَمَّا
falamma
Then when
جَآءَهُم
jaahum
he brought to them
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
the truth
مِنۡ
min
from
عِندِنَا
indina
Us
قَالُواْ
qalu
they said
ٱقۡتُلُوٓاْ
uq'tulu
Kill
أَبۡنَآءَ
abnaa
(the) sons
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
مَعَهُۥ
ma'ahu
with him
وَٱسۡتَحۡيُواْ
wa-is'tahyu
and let live
نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ
nisaahum
their women
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَيۡدُ
kaydu
(is the) plot
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
(of) the disbelievers
إِلَّا
illa
but
فِي
fi
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
error
٢٥
