سَرِيعُ

(is) Swift
ٱلۡحِسَابِ
Ḥisaab.
(in) Account

40:18
وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ
Wa-ʹañẓirhum
And warn them
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(of the) Day
ٱلۡأٓزِفَةِ
ʹAazifati
the Approaching
إِذِ
ʹiẓil
when
ٱلۡقُلُوبُ
q̣uloobu
the hearts
لَدَى
ladal
(are) at
ٱلۡحَنَاجِرِ
ḥanaajiri
the throats
كَٰظِمِينَۚ
kaaz̤̣imeen;
choked
مَا
maa-
Not
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
liz̤̣z̤̣aalimeena
for the wrongdoers
مِنۡ
min
any
حَمِيمٖ
ḥameemiñw
intimate friend
وَلَا
walaa
and no
شَفِيعٖ
shafeeʻiñy
intercessor
يُطَاعُ
yuṭaaʻ.
(who) is obeyed

40:19
يَعۡلَمُ
Yaʻlamu
He knows
خَآئِنَةَ
khaaaʹinatal
(the) stealthy glance
ٱلۡأَعۡيُنِ
ʹaʻyuni
(the) stealthy glance
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
تُخۡفِي
tukhfiṣ
conceal
ٱلصُّدُورُ
ṣudoor.
the breasts
١٩
40:20
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
يَقۡضِي
yaq̣ḍee
judges
بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣:
in truth
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
while those (whom)
يَدۡعُونَ
yadʻoona
they invoke
مِن
miñ
besides Him
دُونِهِۦ
doonihee
besides Him
لَا
laa-
not
يَقۡضُونَ
yaq̣ḍoona
they judge
بِشَيۡءٍۗ
bishayʹ
with anything
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
هُوَ
Huwas
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
Sameeʻul
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
Baṣeer.
the All-Seer

40:21
۞أَوَلَمۡ
ʹAwalam
Do not
يَسِيرُواْ
yaseeroo
they travel
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
فَيَنظُرُواْ
fayañz̤̣uroo
and see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻAaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
were
مِن
miñ
before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
q̣ablihim?
before them
كَانُواْ
Kaanoo
They were
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
أَشَدَّ
ʹashadda
superior
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
to them
قُوَّةٗ
q̣uwwatañw
(in) strength
وَءَاثَارٗا
waʹaas̤aarañ
and (in) impressions
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
faʹakhaẓahumul
but Allah seized them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
but Allah seized them
بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ
biẓunoobihim:
for their sins
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
was
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّنَ
minal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مِن
miñw
any
وَاقٖ
waaq̣.
protector
٢١
40:22
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
biʹannahum
(was) because [they]
كَانَت
kaanat
used to come to them
تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ
taʹteehim
used to come to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum̃
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bilbayyinaati
with clear proofs
فَكَفَرُواْ
fakafaroo
but they disbelieved
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
faʹakhaẓahumul
So Allah seized them
ٱللَّهُۚ
laah:
So Allah seized them
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
قَوِيّٞ
Q̣awiyyuñ
(is) All-Strong
شَدِيدُ
Shadeedul
severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
ʻiq̣aab.
(in) punishment
٢٢
40:23
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biʹAayaatinaa
with Our Signs
وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ
wa-Ṣultaanim
and an authority
مُّبِينٍ
mubeen,
clear
٢٣
40:24
إِلَىٰ
ʹIlaa
To
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
Firaun
وَهَٰمَٰنَ
wa-Haamaana
Haman
وَقَٰرُونَ
wa-Q̣aaroona
and Qarun
فَقَالُواْ
faq̣aaloo
but they said
سَٰحِرٞ
saaḥiruñ
A magician
كَذَّابٞ
kaẓẓaab!
a liar
٢٤
40:25
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
جَآءَهُم
jaaʹahum̃
he brought to them
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
مِنۡ
min
from
عِندِنَا
ʻiñdinaa
Us
قَالُواْ
q̣aaluq̣
they said
ٱقۡتُلُوٓاْ
tulooo
Kill
أَبۡنَآءَ
ʹabnaaaʹal
(the) sons
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
وَٱسۡتَحۡيُواْ
wastaḥyoo
and let live
نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ
nisaaaʹahum.
their women
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كَيۡدُ
kaydul
(is the) plot
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
(of) the disbelievers
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaal!...
