وَرَٰوَدَتۡهُ
warawadathu
And sought to seduce him
ٱلَّتِي

Come on
لَكَۚ
laka
you
قَالَ
qala
He said
مَعَاذَ
ma'adha
I seek refuge in Allah
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
I seek refuge in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
رَبِّيٓ
rabbi
(is) my lord
أَحۡسَنَ
ahsana
(who has) made good
مَثۡوَايَۖ
mathwaya
my stay
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed
لَا
la
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yuf'lihu
will succeed
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
the wrongdoers
٢٣
12:24
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
هَمَّتۡ
hammat
she did desire
بِهِۦۖ
bihi
him
وَهَمَّ
wahamma
and he would have desired
بِهَا
biha
her
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
if not
أَن
an
that
رَّءَا
raa
he saw
بُرۡهَٰنَ
bur'hana
the proof
رَبِّهِۦۚ
rabbihi
(of) his Lord
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
لِنَصۡرِفَ
linasrifa
that We might avert
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from him
ٱلسُّوٓءَ
al-sua
the evil
وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءَۚ
wal-fahshaa
and the immorality
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
مِنۡ
min
(was) of
عِبَادِنَا
ibadina
Our slaves
ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
al-mukh'lasina
the sincere
٢٤
12:25
وَٱسۡتَبَقَا
wa-is'tabaqa
And they both raced
ٱلۡبَابَ
al-baba
(to) the door
وَقَدَّتۡ
waqaddat
and she tore
قَمِيصَهُۥ
qamisahu
his shirt
مِن
min
from
دُبُرٖ
duburin
the back
وَأَلۡفَيَا
wa-alfaya
and they both found
سَيِّدَهَا
sayyidaha
her husband
لَدَا
lada
at
ٱلۡبَابِۚ
al-babi
the door
قَالَتۡ
qalat
She said
مَا
ma
What
جَزَآءُ
jazau
(is) the recompense
مَنۡ
man
(of one) who
أَرَادَ
arada
intended
بِأَهۡلِكَ
bi-ahlika
for your wife
سُوٓءًا
suan
evil
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَن
an
that
يُسۡجَنَ
yus'jana
he be imprisoned
أَوۡ
aw
or
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
٢٥
12:26
قَالَ
qala
He said
هِيَ
hiya
She
رَٰوَدَتۡنِي
rawadatni
sought to seduce me
عَن
an
about
نَّفۡسِيۚ
nafsi
myself
وَشَهِدَ
washahida
And testified
شَاهِدٞ
shahidun
a witness
مِّنۡ
min
of
أَهۡلِهَآ
ahliha
her family
إِن
in
If
كَانَ
kana
[is]
قَمِيصُهُۥ
qamisuhu
his shirt
قُدَّ
qudda
(is) torn
مِن
min
from
قُبُلٖ
qubulin
the front
فَصَدَقَتۡ
fasadaqat
then she has spoken the truth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
مِنَ
mina
(is) of
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
al-kadhibina
the liars
٢٦
12:27
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
كَانَ
kana
[is]
قَمِيصُهُۥ
qamisuhu
his shirt
قُدَّ
qudda
(is) torn
مِن
min
from
دُبُرٖ
duburin
(the) back
فَكَذَبَتۡ
fakadhabat
then she has lied
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
مِنَ
mina
(is) of
ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
al-sadiqina
the truthful
٢٧
12:28
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
رَءَا
raa
he saw
قَمِيصَهُۥ
qamisahu
his shirt
قُدَّ
qudda
torn
مِن
min
from
دُبُرٖ
duburin
(the) back
قَالَ
qala
he said
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed it
مِن
min
(is) of
كَيۡدِكُنَّۖ
kaydikunna
your plot
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
كَيۡدَكُنَّ
kaydakunna
your plot
عَظِيمٞ
azimun
(is) great
٢٨
12:29
يُوسُفُ
yusufu
Yusuf
أَعۡرِضۡ
a'rid
turn away
عَنۡ
an
from
هَٰذَاۚ
hadha
this
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرِي
wa-is'taghfiri
And ask forgiveness
لِذَنۢبِكِۖ
lidhanbiki
for your sin
إِنَّكِ
innaki
Indeed you
كُنتِ
kunti
are
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡخَاطِـِٔينَ
al-khatiina
the sinful
٢٩
12:30
۞وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
نِسۡوَةٞ
nis'watun
women
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ
al-madinati
the city
ٱمۡرَأَتُ
im'ra-atu
The wife of
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
al-'azizi
Aziz
تُرَٰوِدُ
turawidu
(is) seeking to seduce
فَتَىٰهَا
fataha
her slave boy
عَن
an
about
نَّفۡسِهِۦۖ
nafsihi
himself
قَدۡ
qad
indeed
شَغَفَهَا
shaghafaha
he has impassioned her
حُبًّاۖ
hubban
(with) love
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
لَنَرَىٰهَا
lanaraha
[we] surely see her
فِي
fi
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
clear
٣٠
