وَإِذَا

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

ءَايَاتُنَا

Our Verses
بَيِّنَٰتٖ

(as) clear proofs
قَالَ

ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
لَا

(do) not
يَرۡجُونَ
yarjuna
hope
لِقَآءَنَا
liqaana
(for the) meeting (with) Us
ٱئۡتِ
i'ti
Bring us
بِقُرۡءَانٍ
biqur'anin
a Quran
غَيۡرِ
ghayri
other (than)
هَٰذَآ
hadha
this
أَوۡ
aw
or
بَدِّلۡهُۚ
baddil'hu
change it
قُلۡ
qul
Say
مَا
ma
Not
يَكُونُ
yakunu
(it) is
لِيٓ
li
for me
أَنۡ
an
that
أُبَدِّلَهُۥ
ubaddilahu
I change it
مِن
min
of
تِلۡقَآيِٕ
til'qai
my own accord
نَفۡسِيٓۖ
nafsi
my own accord
إِنۡ
in
Not
أَتَّبِعُ
attabi'u
I follow
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
what
يُوحَىٰٓ
yuha
is revealed
إِلَيَّۖ
ilayya
to me
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
akhafu
[I] fear
إِنۡ
in
if
عَصَيۡتُ
asaytu
I were to disobey
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(the) punishment
يَوۡمٍ
yawmin
(of) a Day
عَظِيمٖ
azimin
Great
١٥
10:16
قُل
qul
Say
لَّوۡ
law
If
شَآءَ
shaa
(had) willed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
مَا
ma
not
تَلَوۡتُهُۥ
talawtuhu
I (would) have recited it
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
وَلَآ
wala
and not
أَدۡرَىٰكُم
adrakum
He (would) have made it known to you
بِهِۦۖ
bihi
He (would) have made it known to you
فَقَدۡ
faqad
Verily
لَبِثۡتُ
labith'tu
I have stayed
فِيكُمۡ
fikum
among you
عُمُرٗا
umuran
a lifetime
مِّن
min
before it
قَبۡلِهِۦٓۚ
qablihi
before it
أَفَلَا
afala
Then will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
you use reason
١٦
10:17
فَمَنۡ
faman
So who
أَظۡلَمُ
azlamu
(is) more wrong
مِمَّنِ
mimmani
than he who
ٱفۡتَرَىٰ
if'tara
invents
عَلَى
ala
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
كَذِبًا
kadhiban
a lie
أَوۡ
aw
or
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
denies
بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ
biayatihi
His Signs
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed
لَا
la
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yuf'lihu
will succeed
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
al-muj'rimuna
the criminals
١٧
10:18
وَيَعۡبُدُونَ
waya'buduna
And they worship
مِن
min
from
دُونِ
duni
other than
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَا
ma
that (which)
لَا
la
(does) not
يَضُرُّهُمۡ
yadurruhum
harm them
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَنفَعُهُمۡ
yanfa'uhum
benefit them
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
and they say
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haulai
These
شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا
shufa'auna
(are) our intercessors
عِندَ
inda
with
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ
atunabbiuna
Do you inform
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِمَا
bima
of what
لَا
la
not
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
he knows
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَلَا
wala
and not
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ
sub'hanahu
Glorified is He
وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
wata'ala
and Exalted
عَمَّا
amma
above what
يُشۡرِكُونَ
yush'rikuna
they associate (with Him)
١٨
10:19
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
was
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
the mankind
إِلَّآ
illa
but
أُمَّةٗ
ummatan
a community
وَٰحِدَةٗ
wahidatan
one
فَٱخۡتَلَفُواْۚ
fa-ikh'talafu
then they differed
وَلَوۡلَا
walawla
And had (it) not been
كَلِمَةٞ
kalimatun
a word
سَبَقَتۡ
sabaqat
(that) preceded
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
لَقُضِيَ
laqudiya
surely it (would) have been judged
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
فِيمَا
fima
concerning what
فِيهِ
fihi
[therein]
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifuna
they differ
١٩
10:20
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
And they say
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
Why not
أُنزِلَ
unzila
is sent down
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
to him
ءَايَةٞ
ayatun
a Sign
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِۦۖ
rabbihi
his Lord
فَقُلۡ
faqul
So say
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
ٱلۡغَيۡبُ
al-ghaybu
the unseen
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
(is) for Allah
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ
fa-intaziru
so wait
إِنِّي
inni
indeed I am
مَعَكُم
ma'akum
with you
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ
al-muntazirina
the ones who wait
