25:21
۞وَقَالَ
Waq̣aalal
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَرۡجُونَ
yarjoona
expect
لِقَآءَنَا
Liq̣aaaʹanaa
(the) meeting with Us
لَوۡلَآ
Law-laaa
Why not
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
are sent down
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynal
to us
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaaʹikatu
the Angels
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
نَرَىٰ
naraa
we see
رَبَّنَاۗ
Rabbanaa?
our Lord
لَقَدِ
Laq̣adis
Indeed
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
takbaroo
they have become arrogant
فِيٓ
feee
within
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
ʹañfusihim
themselves
وَعَتَوۡ
wa-ʻataw
and (become) insolent
عُتُوّٗا
ʻutuwwañ
(with) insolence
كَبِيرٗا
kabeeraa!
great
٢١
25:22
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(The) Day
يَرَوۡنَ
yarawnal
they see
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ
malaaaʹikata
the Angels
لَا
laa-
no
بُشۡرَىٰ
bushraa
glad tidings
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
Yawmaʹiẓil
(will be) that Day
لِّلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
lil-mujrimeena
for the criminals
وَيَقُولُونَ
wa-yaq̣ooloona
and they will say
حِجۡرٗا
ḥijram
A partition
مَّحۡجُورٗا
maḥjooraa!
forbidden
٢٢
25:23
وَقَدِمۡنَآ
Wa-q̣adimnaaa
And We will proceed
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
مَا
maa-
whatever
عَمِلُواْ
ʻamiloo
they did
مِنۡ
min
of
عَمَلٖ
ʻamaliñ
(the) deed(s)
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
fajaʻalnaahu
and We will make them
هَبَآءٗ
habaaaʹam
(as) dust
مَّنثُورًا
mañs̤ooraa.
dispersed
٢٣
25:24
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabul
(The) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِ
Jannati
(of) Paradise
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
Yawmaʹiẓin
that Day
خَيۡرٞ
khayrum
(will be in) a better
مُّسۡتَقَرّٗا
mustaq̣arrañw
abode
وَأَحۡسَنُ
waʹaḥsanu
and a better
مَقِيلٗا
maq̣eelaa.
resting-place
٢٤
25:25
وَيَوۡمَ
Wa-Yawma
And (the) Day
تَشَقَّقُ
tashaq̣q̣aq̣us
will split open
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
samaaaʹu
the heavens
بِٱلۡغَمَٰمِ
bilg̣amaami
with the clouds
وَنُزِّلَ
wa-nuzzilal
and (will be) sent down
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaaʹikatu
the Angels
تَنزِيلًا
tañzeelaa,
descending
٢٥
25:26
ٱلۡمُلۡكُ
ʹAlmulku
The Sovereignty
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
Yawmaʹiẓinil
that Day
ٱلۡحَقُّ
ḥaq̣q̣u
(will be) truly
لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ
lir-Raḥmaan:
for the Most Gracious
وَكَانَ
wa-kaana
And (it will) be
يَوۡمًا
Yawman
a Day
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
the disbelievers
عَسِيرٗا
ʻaseeraa.
difficult
٢٦
25:27
وَيَوۡمَ
Wa-Yawma
And (the) Day
يَعَضُّ
yaʻaḍḍuz̤̣
will bite
ٱلظَّالِمُ
z̤̣aalimu
the wrongdoer
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
[on]
يَدَيۡهِ
yadayhi
his hands
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
he will say
يَٰلَيۡتَنِي
yaa-laytanit
O I wish
ٱتَّخَذۡتُ
takhaẓtu
I had taken
مَعَ
maʻar
with
ٱلرَّسُولِ
Rasooli
the Messenger
سَبِيلٗا
sabeelaa!
a way
٢٧
25:28
يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰ
Yaa-waylataa
O woe to me
لَيۡتَنِي
laytanee
I wish
لَمۡ
lam
not
أَتَّخِذۡ
ʹattakhiẓ
I had taken
فُلَانًا
fulaanan
that one
خَلِيلٗا
khaleelaa!
(as) a friend
٢٨
25:29
لَّقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Verily
أَضَلَّنِي
ʹaḍallanee
he led me astray
عَنِ
ʻaniẓ
from
ٱلذِّكۡرِ
Ẓikri
the Reminder
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
[when]
جَآءَنِيۗ
jaaaʹanee!
it (had) come to me
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaanash
And is
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
lil-ʹiñsaani
to the man
خَذُولٗا
khaẓoolaa!
a deserter
٢٩
25:30
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalar
And said
ٱلرَّسُولُ
Rasoolu
the Messenger
يَٰرَبِّ
yaa-Rabbi
O my Lord
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
قَوۡمِي
q̣awmit
my people
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
takhaẓoo
took
هَٰذَا
haaẓal
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Q̣urʹaana
the Quran
مَهۡجُورٗا
mahjooraa.
(as) a forsaken thing
٣٠
25:31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
Wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We have made
لِكُلِّ
likulli
for every
نَبِيٍّ
nabiyyin
Prophet
عَدُوّٗا
ʻaduwwam
an enemy
مِّنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَۗ
mujrimeen:
the criminals
وَكَفَىٰ
wa-kafaa
But sufficient is
بِرَبِّكَ
bi-Rabbika
your Lord
هَادِيٗا
Haadiyañw
(as) a Guide
وَنَصِيرٗا
Wa-Naṣeeraa.
and a Helper
٣١
25:32
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieve
لَوۡلَا
law-laa
Why not
نُزِّلَ
nuzzila
was revealed
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhil
to him
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ
Q̣urʹaanu
the Quran
جُمۡلَةٗ
jumlatañw
all at once
وَٰحِدَةٗۚ
Waaḥidah?
all at once
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
لِنُثَبِّتَ
linus̤abbita
that We may strengthen
بِهِۦ
bihee
thereby
فُؤَادَكَۖ
fuʹaadaka
your heart
وَرَتَّلۡنَٰهُ
wa-rattalnaahu
and We have recited it
تَرۡتِيلٗا
tarteelaa.
(with distinct) recitation

25:33
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And not
يَأۡتُونَكَ
yaʹtoonaka
they come to you
بِمَثَلٍ
bimas̤alin
with an example
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
جِئۡنَٰكَ
jiʹnaaka
We bring you
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
وَأَحۡسَنَ
wa-ʹaḥsana
and (the) best
تَفۡسِيرًا
tafseeraa.
explanation
٣٣
25:34
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يُحۡشَرُونَ
yuḥsharoona
will be gathered
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
وُجُوهِهِمۡ
wujoohihim
their faces
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
جَهَنَّمَ
Jahannama
Hell
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
those
شَرّٞ
sharrum
(are the) worst
مَّكَانٗا
makanañw
(in) position
وَأَضَلُّ
waʹaḍallu
and most astray
سَبِيلٗا
Sabeelaa.
(from the) way
٣٤
25:35
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَا
ʹaataynaa
We gave
مُوسَى
Moosal
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Scripture
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wa-jaʻalnaa
and We appointed
مَعَهُۥٓ
maʻahooo
with him
أَخَاهُ
ʹakhaahu
his brother
هَٰرُونَ
Haaroona
Harun
وَزِيرٗا
Wazeeraa;
(as) an assistant
٣٥
25:36
فَقُلۡنَا
Faq̣ulnaẓ
Then We said
ٱذۡهَبَآ
habaaa
Go both of you
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
q̣awmil
the people
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
have denied
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biʹAayaatinaa:
Our Signs
فَدَمَّرۡنَٰهُمۡ
fadammarnaahum
Then We destroyed them
تَدۡمِيرٗا
tadmeeraa.
(with) destruction
٣٦
25:37
وَقَوۡمَ
Wa-q̣awma
And (the) people
نُوحٖ
Nooḥil
(of) Nuh
لَّمَّا
lammaa
when
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓabur
they denied
ٱلرُّسُلَ
rusula
the Messengers
أَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
ʹag̣raq̣naahum
We drowned them
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
wa-jaʻalnaahum
and We made them
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for mankind
ءَايَةٗۖ
ʹAayah;
a sign
وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا
wa-ʹaʻtadnaa
And We have prepared
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
liz̤̣z̤̣aalimeena
for the wrongdoers
عَذَابًا
ʻAẓaaban
a punishment
أَلِيمٗا
ʹaleemaa;
painful
٣٧
25:38
وَعَادٗا
Wa-ʻAadañw
And Ad
وَثَمُودَاْ
Wa-S̤amooda
and Thamud
وَأَصۡحَٰبَ
wa-ʹAṣḥaabar
and (the) dwellers
ٱلرَّسِّ
Rassi
(of) Ar-rass
وَقُرُونَۢا
wa-q̣uroonam
and generations
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
كَثِيرٗا
kas̤eeraa.
many
٣٨
25:39
وَكُلّٗا
Wa-kullañ
And each
ضَرَبۡنَا
ḍarabnaa
We have set forth
لَهُ
lahul
for him
ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَۖ
ʹams̤aala
the examples
وَكُلّٗا
wa-kullañ
and each
تَبَّرۡنَا
tabbarnaa
We destroyed
تَتۡبِيرٗا
tatbeeraa.
(with) destruction
٣٩
25:40
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
أَتَوۡاْ
ʹataw
they have come
عَلَى
ʻalal
upon
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ
q̣aryatil
the town
ٱلَّتِيٓ
lateee
which
أُمۡطِرَتۡ
ʹumṭirat
was showered
مَطَرَ
maṭaras
(with) a rain
ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ
sawʹ:
(of) evil
أَفَلَمۡ
ʹafalam
Then do not
يَكُونُواْ
yakoonoo
they [were]
يَرَوۡنَهَاۚ
yarawnahaa?
see it
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they are
لَا
laa-
not
يَرۡجُونَ
yarjoona
expecting
نُشُورٗا
Nushooraa.
Resurrection
٤٠
25:41
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
رَأَوۡكَ
raʹawka
they see you
إِن
ʹiñy
not
يَتَّخِذُونَكَ
yattakhiẓoonaka
they take you
إِلَّا
illaa
except
هُزُوًا
huzuwaa:˹
(in) mockery
أَهَٰذَا
ʹahaaẓal
Is this
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the one whom
بَعَثَ
baʻas̤al
Allah has sent
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has sent
رَسُولًا
rasoolaa?
(as) a Messenger
٤١
25:42
إِن
ʹIñ
He would have almost
كَادَ
kaada
He would have almost
لَيُضِلُّنَا
layuḍillunaa
[surely] misled us
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
ءَالِهَتِنَا
ʹaalihatinaa
our gods
لَوۡلَآ
Law-laaa
if not
أَن
ʹañ
that
صَبَرۡنَا
ṣabarnaa
we had been steadfast
عَلَيۡهَاۚ
ʻalayhaa!˺
to them
وَسَوۡفَ
Wa-sawfa
And soon
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoona
will know
حِينَ
ḥeena
when
يَرَوۡنَ
yarawnal
they will see
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻAẓaaba
the punishment
مَنۡ
man
who
أَضَلُّ
ʹaḍallu
(is) more astray
سَبِيلًا
Sabeelaa!
(from the) way
٤٢
25:43
أَرَءَيۡتَ
ʹAraʹayta
Have you seen
مَنِ
manit
(one) who
ٱتَّخَذَ
takhaẓa
takes
إِلَٰهَهُۥ
ʹilaahahoo
(as) his god
هَوَىٰهُ
hawaah?
his own desire
أَفَأَنتَ
ʹA-faʹañta
Then would you
تَكُونُ
takoonu
be
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
over him
وَكِيلًا
wakeelaa?
a guardian
٤٣

25:44
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
تَحۡسَبُ
taḥsabu
do you think
أَنَّ
ʹanna
that
أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ
ʹaks̤arahum
most of them
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoona
hear
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
يَعۡقِلُونَۚ
yaʻq̣iloon?
understand
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Not
هُمۡ
hum
they
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
(are) except
كَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
kal-ʹanʻaami
like cattle
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
هُمۡ
hum
they
أَضَلُّ
ʹaḍallu
(are) more astray
سَبِيلًا
Sabeelaa.
(from the) way
٤٤
25:45
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Do you not
تَرَ
tara
see
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
[to]
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
مَدَّ
maddaz̤̣-
He extends
ٱلظِّلَّ
Z̤̣ill!
the shadow
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
شَآءَ
shaaaʹa
He willed
لَجَعَلَهُۥ
lajaʻalahoo
surely He (could) have made it
سَاكِنٗا
saakinaa!
stationary
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnash
We made
ٱلشَّمۡسَ
shamsa
the sun
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for it
دَلِيلٗا
daleelaa;
an indication
٤٥
