ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

وَلَآ
wala
And nay
أُقۡسِمُ
uq'simu
I swear
بِٱلنَّفۡسِ
bil-nafsi
by the soul
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
al-lawamati
self-accusing

75:3
أَيَحۡسَبُ
ayahsabu
Does think
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
[the] man
أَلَّن
allan
that not
نَّجۡمَعَ
najma'a
We will assemble
عِظَامَهُۥ
izamahu
his bones
٣
75:4
بَلَىٰ
bala
Nay
قَٰدِرِينَ
qadirina
(We are) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَن
an
that
نُّسَوِّيَ
nusawwiya
We can restore
بَنَانَهُۥ
bananahu
his fingertips
٤
75:5
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
Desires
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
[the] man
لِيَفۡجُرَ
liyafjura
to give (the) lie
أَمَامَهُۥ
amamahu
(to) what is before him
٥
75:6
يَسۡـَٔلُ
yasalu
He asks
أَيَّانَ
ayyana
When
يَوۡمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
٦
75:7
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
So when
بَرِقَ
bariqa
is dazzled
ٱلۡبَصَرُ
al-basaru
the vision
٧
75:8
وَخَسَفَ
wakhasafa
And becomes dark
ٱلۡقَمَرُ
al-qamaru
the moon
٨
75:9
وَجُمِعَ
wajumi'a
And are joined
ٱلشَّمۡسُ
al-shamsu
the sun
وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
wal-qamaru
and the moon
٩
75:10
يَقُولُ
yaqulu
Will say
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
[the] man
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
أَيۡنَ
ayna
Where
ٱلۡمَفَرُّ
al-mafaru
(is) the escape
١٠
75:11
كـَلَّا
kalla
By no means
لَا
la
(There is) no
وَزَرَ
wazara
refuge
١١
75:12
إِلَىٰ
ila
To
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ
al-mus'taqaru
(is) the place of rest
١٢
75:13
يُنَبَّؤُاْ
yunabba-u
Will be informed
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
[the] man
يَوۡمَئِذِۭ
yawma-idhin
that Day
بِمَا
bima
of what
قَدَّمَ
qaddama
he sent forth
وَأَخَّرَ
wa-akhara
and kept back

75:14
بَلِ
bali
Nay
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
[The] man
عَلَىٰ
ala
against
نَفۡسِهِۦ
nafsihi
himself
بَصِيرَةٞ
basiratun
(will be) a witness
١٤
75:15
وَلَوۡ
walaw
Even if
أَلۡقَىٰ
alqa
he presents
مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
ma'adhirahu
his excuses
١٥
75:16
لَا
la
Not
تُحَرِّكۡ
tuharrik
move
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
لِسَانَكَ
lisanaka
your tongue
لِتَعۡجَلَ
lita'jala
to hasten
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with it
١٦
75:17
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
upon Us
جَمۡعَهُۥ
jam'ahu
(is) its collection
وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ
waqur'anahu
and its recitation
١٧
75:18
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
And when
قَرَأۡنَٰهُ
qaranahu
We have recited it
فَٱتَّبِعۡ
fa-ittabi'
then follow
قُرۡءَانَهُۥ
qur'anahu
its recitation
١٨
75:19
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
upon Us
بَيَانَهُۥ
bayanahu
(is) its explanation

كـَلَّا
kalla
No
بَلۡ
bal
But
تُحِبُّونَ
tuhibbuna
you love
ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ
al-'ajilata
the immediate
٢٠
75:21
وَتَذَرُونَ
watadharuna
And leave
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
al-akhirata
the Hereafter
٢١
75:22
وُجُوهٞ
wujuhun
Faces
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
نَّاضِرَةٌ
nadiratun
(will be) radiant
٢٢
75:23
إِلَىٰ
ila
Towards
رَبِّهَا
rabbiha
their Lord
نَاظِرَةٞ
naziratun
looking
٢٣
75:24
وَوُجُوهٞ
wawujuhun
And faces
يَوۡمَئِذِۭ
yawma-idhin
that Day
بَاسِرَةٞ
basiratun
(will be) distorted
٢٤
75:25
تَظُنُّ
tazunnu
Thinking
أَن
an
that
يُفۡعَلَ
yuf'ala
will be done
بِهَا
biha
to them
فَاقِرَةٞ
faqiratun
backbreaking
٢٥
75:26
كـَلَّآ
kalla
No
إِذَا
idha
When
بَلَغَتِ
balaghati
it reaches
ٱلتَّرَاقِيَ
al-taraqiya
the collar bones
٢٦
75:27
وَقِيلَ
waqila
And it is said
مَنۡۜ
man
Who
رَاقٖ
raqin
(will) cure
٢٧
75:28
وَظَنَّ
wazanna
And he is certain
أَنَّهُ
annahu
that it
ٱلۡفِرَاقُ
al-firaqu
(is) the parting
٢٨
75:29
وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ
wal-tafati
And is wound
ٱلسَّاقُ
al-saqu
the leg
بِٱلسَّاقِ
bil-saqi
about the leg
٢٩
75:30
إِلَىٰ
ila
To
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
ٱلۡمَسَاقُ
al-masaqu
(will be) the driving
٣٠
75:31
فَلَا
fala
And not
صَدَّقَ
saddaqa
he accepted (the) truth
وَلَا
wala
and not
صَلَّىٰ
salla
he prayed
٣١
75:32
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
But
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
he denied
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawalla
and turned away
٣٢
75:33
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ذَهَبَ
dhahaba
he went
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
to
أَهۡلِهِۦ
ahlihi
his family
يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
yatamatta
swaggering
٣٣
75:34
أَوۡلَىٰ
awla
Woe
لَكَ
laka
to you
فَأَوۡلَىٰ
fa-awla
and woe
٣٤
75:35
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
أَوۡلَىٰ
awla
woe
لَكَ
laka
to you
فَأَوۡلَىٰٓ
fa-awla
and woe
٣٥
75:36
أَيَحۡسَبُ
ayahsabu
Does think
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
man
أَن
an
that
يُتۡرَكَ
yut'raka
he will be left
سُدًى
sudan
neglected
٣٦
75:37
أَلَمۡ
alam
Was not
يَكُ
yaku
he
نُطۡفَةٗ
nut'fatan
a semen-drop
مِّن
min
of
مَّنِيّٖ
maniyyin
semen
يُمۡنَىٰ
yum'na
emitted
٣٧
75:38
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
كَانَ
kana
he was
عَلَقَةٗ
alaqatan
a clinging substance
فَخَلَقَ
fakhalaqa
then He created
فَسَوَّىٰ
fasawwa
and proportioned
٣٨
75:39
فَجَعَلَ
faja'ala
Then made
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
of him
ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ
al-zawjayni
two kinds
ٱلذَّكَرَ
al-dhakara
(the) male
وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ
wal-untha
and the female
٣٩
75:40
أَلَيۡسَ
alaysa
Is not
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
[that]
بِقَٰدِرٍ
biqadirin
(He) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
[over]
أَن
an
to
يُحۡـِۧيَ
yuh'yiya
give life
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
al-mawta
(to) the dead
٤٠
