أُقۡسِمُ
ʹuq̣simu
I swear
بِيَوۡمِ
bi-Yawmil
by (the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamah;
(of) the Resurrection
١
75:2
وَلَآ
Wa-laaa
And nay
أُقۡسِمُ
ʹuq̣simu
I swear
بِٱلنَّفۡسِ
bin-nafsil
by the soul
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
lawwaamah.
self-accusing
٢
75:3
أَيَحۡسَبُ
ʹAyaḥsabul
Does think
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
ʹiñsaanu
[the] man
أَلَّن
ʹal-lan
that not
نَّجۡمَعَ
najmaʻa
We will assemble
عِظَامَهُۥ
ʻiz̤̣aamah?
his bones
٣
75:4
بَلَىٰ
Ballaa
Nay
قَٰدِرِينَ
Q̣aadireena
(We are) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
أَن
ʹan
that
نُّسَوِّيَ
nusawwiya
We can restore
بَنَانَهُۥ
banaanah.
his fingertips
٤
75:5
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
يُرِيدُ
yureedul
Desires
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
ʹIñsaanu
[the] man
لِيَفۡجُرَ
liyafjura
to give (the) lie
أَمَامَهُۥ
ʹamaamah.
(to) what is before him

75:6
يَسۡـَٔلُ
Yasʹalu
He asks
أَيَّانَ
ʹayyaana
When
يَوۡمُ
Yawmul
(is the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣IYAAMAH?
(of) the Resurrection
٦
75:7
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
So when
بَرِقَ
bariq̣al
is dazzled
ٱلۡبَصَرُ
baṣar,
the vision
٧
75:8
وَخَسَفَ
Wa-khasafal
And becomes dark
ٱلۡقَمَرُ
Q̣amar.
the moon
٨
75:9
وَجُمِعَ
Wa-jumiʻash
And are joined
ٱلشَّمۡسُ
shamsu
the sun
وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
wal-q̣amar,―
and the moon
٩
75:10
يَقُولُ
Yaq̣oolul
Will say
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
ʹiñsaanu
[the] man
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
Yaw-maʹiẓin
that Day
أَيۡنَ
ʹaynal
Where
ٱلۡمَفَرُّ
mafarr?
(is) the escape
١٠
75:11
كـَلَّا
Kallaa
By no means
لَا
laa-
(There is) no
وَزَرَ
wazar!
refuge
١١
75:12
إِلَىٰ
ʹIlaa
To
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
Yawmaʹiẓinil
that Day
ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ
mustaq̣arr.
(is) the place of rest
١٢
75:13
يُنَبَّؤُاْ
Yunabbaʹul
Will be informed
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
ʹiñsaanu
[the] man
يَوۡمَئِذِۭ
Yawmaʹiẓim
that Day
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
قَدَّمَ
q̣addama
he sent forth
وَأَخَّرَ
wa-ʹakhkhar.
and kept back

75:14
بَلِ
Balil
Nay
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
ʹiñsaanu
[The] man
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
against
نَفۡسِهِۦ
nafsihee
himself
بَصِيرَةٞ
baṣeerah,
(will be) a witness
١٤
75:15
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
Even if
أَلۡقَىٰ
ʹalq̣aa
he presents
مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
maʻaaẓeerah.
his excuses
١٥
75:16
لَا
Laa-
Not
تُحَرِّكۡ
tuḥarrik
move
بِهِۦ
bihee
with it
لِسَانَكَ
lisaanaka
your tongue
لِتَعۡجَلَ
litaʻjala
to hasten
بِهِۦٓ
bih.
with it
١٦
75:17
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa
upon Us
جَمۡعَهُۥ
jamʻahoo
(is) its collection
وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ
wa-q̣urʹaanah:
and its recitation
١٧
75:18
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
And when
قَرَأۡنَٰهُ
q̣araʹnaahu
We have recited it
فَٱتَّبِعۡ
fattabiʻ
then follow
قُرۡءَانَهُۥ
q̣ur-ʹaanah:
its recitation

75:19
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa
upon Us
بَيَانَهُۥ
bayaanah:
(is) its explanation

كـَلَّا
Kallaa
No
بَلۡ
bal
But
تُحِبُّونَ
tuḥibboonal
you love
ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ
ʻaajilah,―
the immediate
٢٠
75:21
وَتَذَرُونَ
Wa-taẓaroonal
And leave
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
ʹAakhirah.
the Hereafter
٢١
75:22
وُجُوهٞ
Wujoohuñy
Faces
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
Yawmaʹiẓin
that Day
نَّاضِرَةٌ
naaḍirah;―
(will be) radiant
٢٢
75:23
إِلَىٰ
ʹIlaa
Towards
رَبِّهَا
Rabbihaa
their Lord
نَاظِرَةٞ
naaz̤̣irah;
looking
٢٣
75:24
وَوُجُوهٞ
Wa-wujoohuñy
And faces
يَوۡمَئِذِۭ
Yawmaʹiẓim
that Day
بَاسِرَةٞ
baasirah,
(will be) distorted
٢٤
75:25
تَظُنُّ
Taz̤̣unnu
Thinking
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُفۡعَلَ
yufʻala
will be done
بِهَا
bihaa
to them
فَاقِرَةٞ
faaq̣irah;
backbreaking
٢٥
