56:1
إِذَا

وَقَعَتِ
wa-q̣aʻatil

ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ
WAAQ̣IʻAH,
the Event

56:2
لَيۡسَ
Laysa
Not
لِوَقۡعَتِهَا
liwaq̣ʻatihaa
at its occurrence
كَاذِبَةٌ
kaaẓibah.
a denial
٢
56:3
خَافِضَةٞ
Khaafiḍatur
Bringing down
رَّافِعَةٌ
Raafiʻah;
raising up
٣
56:4
إِذَا
ʹIẓaa
When
رُجَّتِ
rujjatil
will be shaken
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍu
the earth
رَجّٗا
rajjaa,
(with) a shaking
٤
56:5
وَبُسَّتِ
Wa-bussatil
And will be crumbled
ٱلۡجِبَالُ
jibaalu
the mountains
بَسّٗا
bassaa,
(with awful) crumbling
٥
56:6
فَكَانَتۡ
Fakaanat
So they become
هَبَآءٗ
habaaaʹam
dust particles
مُّنۢبَثّٗا
mumbas̤s̤aa,
dispersing
٦
56:7
وَكُنتُمۡ
Wa-kuñtum
And you will become
أَزۡوَٰجٗا
ʹazwaajañ
kinds
ثَلَٰثَةٗ
s̤alaas̤ah.
three
٧
56:8
فَأَصۡحَٰبُ
FaʹAṣḥaabul
Then (the) companions
ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ
Maymanah;
(of) the right
مَآ
Maaa
what
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabul
(are the) companions
ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ
Maymanah?
(of) the right
٨
56:9
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ
Wa-ʹAṣḥaabul
And (the) companions
ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ
mashʹamah,―
(of) the left
مَآ
Maaa
what
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabul
(are the) companions
ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ
Mashʹamah?
(of) the left

56:10
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
Was-Saabiq̣oonas
And the foremost
ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
Saabiq̣oon.
(are) the foremost

56:11
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ
Muq̣arraboon:
(are) the nearest ones

فِي
Fee
In
جَنَّٰتِ
Jannaatin
Gardens
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Naʻeem:
(of) Pleasure
١٢
56:13
ثُلَّةٞ
S̤ullatum
A company
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen,
the former (people)
١٣
56:14
وَقَلِيلٞ
Wa-q̣aleelum
And a few
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
ʹaakhireen.
the later (people)
١٤
56:15
عَلَىٰ
ʻAlaa
On
سُرُرٖ
sururim
thrones
مَّوۡضُونَةٖ
mawḍoonah,
decorated
١٥
56:16
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ
Muttakiʹeena
Reclining
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
on them
مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ
mutaq̣aabileen.
facing each other

يَطُوفُ
Yaṭoofu
Will circulate
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
among them
وِلۡدَٰنٞ
wildaanum
boys
مُّخَلَّدُونَ
mukhalladoon,
immortal
١٧
56:18
بِأَكۡوَابٖ
Biʹakwaabiñw
With vessels
وَأَبَارِيقَ
Waʹabaareeq̣a,
and jugs
وَكَأۡسٖ
wa-kaʹsim
and a cup
مِّن
mim
from
مَّعِينٖ
maʻeen:
a flowing stream

56:19
لَّا
Laa-
Not
يُصَدَّعُونَ
yuṣaddaʻoona
they will get headache
عَنۡهَا
ʻanhaa
therefrom
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يُنزِفُونَ
yuñzifoon:
they will get intoxicated
١٩
56:20
وَفَٰكِهَةٖ
Wa-faakihatim
And fruits
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
yatakhayyaroon;
they select
٢٠
56:21
وَلَحۡمِ
Wa-laḥmi
And (the) flesh
طَيۡرٖ
ṭayrim
(of) fowls
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
يَشۡتَهُونَ
yashtahoon.
they desire
٢١
56:22
وَحُورٌ
Wa-ḥoorun
And fair ones
عِينٞ
ʻeen,―
(with) large eyes
٢٢
56:23
كَأَمۡثَٰلِ
Kaʹams̤aalil
Like
ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ
luʹluʹil
pearls
ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ
maknoon.
well-protected
٢٣
56:24
جَزَآءَۢ
Jazaaaʹam
A reward
بِمَا
bimaa
for what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloon.
do
٢٤
56:25
لَا
Laa-
Not
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoona
they will hear
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
لَغۡوٗا
lag̣wañw
vain talk
وَلَا
walaa
and not
تَأۡثِيمًا
taʹs̤eemaa,―
sinful (speech)
