52:26قَالُوٓاْQ̣aaloooThey will sayإِنَّاʹinnaaIndeed weكُنَّاkunnaa[we] wereقَبۡلُq̣ablubeforeفِيٓfeeeamongأَهۡلِنَاʹahlinaaour familiesمُشۡفِقِينَmushfiq̣een.fearful٢٦
52:27فَمَنَّFamannalBut Allah conferred favorٱللَّهُlaahuBut Allah conferred favorعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaupon usوَوَقَىٰنَاwa-waq̣aanaaand protected usعَذَابَʻAẓaabas(from the) punishmentٱلسَّمُومِSamoom.(of) the Scorching Fire٢٧
52:28إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed weكُنَّاkunnaa[we] used toمِنmiñbeforeقَبۡلُq̣ablubeforeنَدۡعُوهُۖnadʻooh:call HimإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooIndeed HeهُوَHuwal[He]ٱلۡبَرُّBarrur(is) the Most KindٱلرَّحِيمُRaḥeem!the Most Merciful٢٨
52:29فَذَكِّرۡFaẓakkirTherefore remindفَمَآfamaaafor notأَنتَʹañtayouبِنِعۡمَتِbi-Niʻmati(are) by (the) graceرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordبِكَاهِنٖbikaahiniñwa soothsayerوَلَاwalaaand notمَجۡنُونٍmajnoon.a madman٢٩
52:30أَمۡʹAmOrيَقُولُونَyaq̣ooloona(do) they sayشَاعِرٞShaaʻirunA poetنَّتَرَبَّصُnatarabbaṣuwe waitبِهِۦbiheefor himرَيۡبَraybala misfortune of timeٱلۡمَنُونِmanoon!a misfortune of time٣٠
52:31قُلۡQ̣ulSayتَرَبَّصُواْtarabbaṣooWaitفَإِنِّيfaʹinneefor indeed I amمَعَكُمmaʻakumwith youمِّنَminalamongٱلۡمُتَرَبِّصِينَmutarabbiṣeen!those who wait٣١
52:32أَمۡʹAmOrتَأۡمُرُهُمۡtaʹmuruhumcommand themأَحۡلَٰمُهُمʹaḥlaamuhum̃their mindsبِهَٰذَآۚbihaaẓaaathisأَمۡʹamorهُمۡhumtheyقَوۡمٞq̣awmuñ(are) a peopleطَاغُونَṭaag̣oon?transgressing٣٢
52:33أَمۡʹAmOrيَقُولُونَyaq̣ooloona(do) they sayتَقَوَّلَهُۥۚtaq̣awwalah?He has made it upبَلBalNayلَّاlaanotيُؤۡمِنُونَyuʹminoon!they believe٣٣
52:34فَلۡيَأۡتُواْFalyaʹtooThen let them bringبِحَدِيثٖbiḥadees̤ima statementمِّثۡلِهِۦٓmis̤liheeelike itإِنʹiñifكَانُواْkaanoothey areصَٰدِقِينَṢaadiq̣een!truthful٣٤
52:35أَمۡʹAmOrخُلِقُواْkhuliq̣oothey were createdمِنۡminofغَيۡرِg̣ayrinothingشَيۡءٍshayʹinnothingأَمۡʹamorهُمُhumul(are) theyٱلۡخَٰلِقُونَkhaaliq̣oon?the creators٣٥
52:36أَمۡʹAmOrخَلَقُواْkhalaq̣us(did) they createٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَۚwal-ʹarḍ?and the earthبَلBalNayلَّاlaanotيُوقِنُونَyooq̣inoon.they are certain٣٦
52:37أَمۡʹAmOrعِندَهُمۡʻiñdahumwith themخَزَآئِنُkhazaaaʹinu(are the) treasuresرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordأَمۡʹamorهُمُhumul(are) theyٱلۡمُصَۜيۡطِرُونَmusayṭiroon?the controllers٣٧
52:38أَمۡʹAmOrلَهُمۡlahumfor themسُلَّمٞsullamuñy(is) a stairwayيَسۡتَمِعُونَyastamiʻoonathey listenفِيهِۖfeeh?therewithفَلۡيَأۡتِfalyaʹtiThen let bringمُسۡتَمِعُهُمmustamiʻuhum̃their listenerبِسُلۡطَٰنٖbisulṭaaniman authorityمُّبِينٍmubeen.clear٣٨
52:39أَمۡʹAmOrلَهُlahulfor Himٱلۡبَنَٰتُbanaatu(are) daughtersوَلَكُمُwa-lakumulwhile for youٱلۡبَنُونَbanoon?(are) sons٣٩
52:40أَمۡʹAmOrتَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡtasʹaluhum(do) you ask from themأَجۡرٗاʹajraña paymentفَهُمfahumso theyمِّنmimfromمَّغۡرَمٖmag̣ramima debtمُّثۡقَلُونَmus̤q̣aloon?(are) overburdened٤٠
52:41أَمۡʹAmOrعِندَهُمُʻiñdahumulwith themٱلۡغَيۡبُG̣aybu(is) the unseenفَهُمۡfahumso theyيَكۡتُبُونَyaktuboon?write (it) down٤١
52:42أَمۡʹAmOrيُرِيدُونَyureedoona(do) they intendكَيۡدٗاۖkaydaa?a plotفَٱلَّذِينَFallaẓeenaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieveهُمُhumulthemselvesٱلۡمَكِيدُونَmakeedoon!(are in) the plot٤٢
52:43أَمۡʹAmOrلَهُمۡlahumfor themإِلَٰهٌʹilaahuna godغَيۡرُg̣ayrulother thanٱللَّهِۚlaah?AllahسُبۡحَٰنَSubḥaanalGlory beٱللَّهِlaahi(to) Allahعَمَّاʻammaafrom whatيُشۡرِكُونَyushrikoon!they associate (with Him)٤٣
52:44وَإِنWa-ʹiñyAnd ifيَرَوۡاْyarawthey were to seeكِسۡفٗاkisfama portionمِّنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyسَاقِطٗاsaaq̣iṭañyfallingيَقُولُواْyaq̣ooloothey will sayسَحَابٞsaḥaabumCloudsمَّرۡكُومٞmarkoom!heaped up٤٤
52:45فَذَرۡهُمۡFaẓarhumSo leave themحَتَّىٰḥattaauntilيُلَٰقُواْyulaaq̣oothey meetيَوۡمَهُمُYawmahumultheir Dayٱلَّذِيlaẓeewhichفِيهِfeehiin itيُصۡعَقُونَyuṣʻaq̣oon,―they will faint٤٥
52:46يَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayلَاlaa-notيُغۡنِيyug̣neewill availعَنۡهُمۡʻanhumto themكَيۡدُهُمۡkayduhumtheir plottingشَيۡـٔٗاshayʹañw(in) anythingوَلَاwalaaand notهُمۡhumtheyيُنصَرُونَyuñṣaroon.will be helped٤٦
52:47وَإِنَّWa-ʹinnaAnd indeedلِلَّذِينَlillaẓeenafor those whoظَلَمُواْz̤̣alamoodo wrongعَذَابٗاʻaẓaabañ(is) a punishmentدُونَdoonabeforeذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatوَلَٰكِنَّwa-laakinnabutأَكۡثَرَهُمۡʹaks̤arahummost of themلَاlaa-(do) notيَعۡلَمُونَyaʻlamoon.know٤٧
52:48وَٱصۡبِرۡWaṣbirSo be patientلِحُكۡمِliḥukmifor (the) CommandرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordفَإِنَّكَfaʹinnakafor indeed youبِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖbiʹaʻyuninaa(are) in Our Eyesوَسَبِّحۡwa-sabbiḥAnd glorifyبِحَمۡدِbi-Ḥamdi(the) praiseرَبِّكَRabbika(of) your Lordحِينَḥeenawhenتَقُومُtaq̣oom,you arise٤٨
52:49وَمِنَWa-minalAnd ofٱلَّيۡلِlaylithe nightفَسَبِّحۡهُfasabbiḥhuglorify Himوَإِدۡبَٰرَwa-ʹidbaaranand afterٱلنُّجُومِnujoom!the stars٤٩
