51:8إِنَّكُمۡinnakumIndeed youلَفِيlafi(are) surely inقَوۡلٖqawlina speechمُّخۡتَلِفٖmukh'talifindiffering٨
51:11ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoهُمۡhum[they]فِيfi(are) inغَمۡرَةٖghamratinfloodسَاهُونَsahuna(of) heedlessness١١
51:12يَسۡـَٔلُونَyasalunaThey askأَيَّانَayyanaWhenيَوۡمُyawmu(is the) Dayٱلدِّينِal-dini(of) Judgment١٢
51:13يَوۡمَyawmaA Dayهُمۡhumtheyعَلَىalaoverٱلنَّارِal-narithe Fireيُفۡتَنُونَyuf'tanunawill be tried١٣
51:14ذُوقُواْdhuquTasteفِتۡنَتَكُمۡfit'natakumyour trialهَٰذَاhadhaThisٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) whatكُنتُمkuntumyou wereبِهِۦbihifor itتَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَtasta'jilunaseeking to hasten١٤
51:15إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلۡمُتَّقِينَal-mutaqinathe righteousفِيfi(will be) inجَنَّٰتٖjannatinGardensوَعُيُونٍwa'uyuninand springs١٥
51:16ءَاخِذِينَakhidhinaTakingمَآmawhatءَاتَىٰهُمۡatahumtheir Lord has given themرَبُّهُمۡۚrabbuhumtheir Lord has given themإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkanuwereقَبۡلَqablabeforeذَٰلِكَdhalikathatمُحۡسِنِينَmuh'sininagood-doers١٦
51:17كَانُواْkanuThey used toقَلِيلٗاqalilanlittleمِّنَminaofٱلَّيۡلِal-laylithe nightمَاma[what]يَهۡجَعُونَyahja'unasleep١٧
51:18وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِwabil-ashariAnd in the hours before dawnهُمۡhumtheyيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَyastaghfirunawould ask forgiveness١٨
51:19وَفِيٓwafiAnd inأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡamwalihimtheir wealthحَقّٞhaqqun(was the) rightلِّلسَّآئِلِlilssaili(of) those who askedوَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِwal-mahrumiand the deprived١٩
51:20وَفِيwafiAnd inٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthءَايَٰتٞayatun(are) signsلِّلۡمُوقِنِينَlil'muqininafor those who are certain٢٠
51:21وَفِيٓwafiAnd inأَنفُسِكُمۡۚanfusikumyourselvesأَفَلَاafalaThen will notتُبۡصِرُونَtub'sirunayou see٢١
51:22وَفِيwafiAnd inٱلسَّمَآءِal-samaithe heavenرِزۡقُكُمۡriz'qukum(is) your provisionوَمَاwamaand whatتُوعَدُونَtu'adunayou are promised٢٢
51:23فَوَرَبِّfawarabbiThen by (the) Lordٱلسَّمَآءِal-samai(of) the heavenوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthإِنَّهُۥinnahuindeed itلَحَقّٞlahaqqun(is) surely (the) truthمِّثۡلَmith'la(just) asمَآma[what]أَنَّكُمۡannakumyouتَنطِقُونَtantiqunaspeak٢٣
51:24هَلۡhalHasأَتَىٰكَatakareached youحَدِيثُhadithu(the) narrationضَيۡفِdayfi(of the) guestsإِبۡرَٰهِيمَib'rahima(of) Ibrahimٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَal-muk'raminathe honored٢٤
51:25إِذۡidhWhenدَخَلُواْdakhaluthey enteredعَلَيۡهِalayhiupon himفَقَالُواْfaqaluand saidسَلَٰمٗاۖsalamanPeaceقَالَqalaHe saidسَلَٰمٞsalamunPeaceقَوۡمٞqawmuna peopleمُّنكَرُونَmunkarunaunknown٢٥
51:26فَرَاغَfaraghaThen he wentإِلَىٰٓilatoأَهۡلِهِۦahlihihis householdفَجَآءَfajaaand cameبِعِجۡلٖbi'ij'linwith a calfسَمِينٖsamininfat٢٦
51:27فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓfaqarrabahuAnd he placed it nearإِلَيۡهِمۡilayhim[to] themقَالَqalahe saidأَلَاalaWill notتَأۡكُلُونَtakulunayou eat٢٧
51:28فَأَوۡجَسَfa-awjasaThen he feltمِنۡهُمۡmin'humfrom themخِيفَةٗۖkhifatana fearقَالُواْqaluThey saidلَاla(Do) notتَخَفۡۖtakhaffearوَبَشَّرُوهُwabasharuhuand they gave him glad tidingsبِغُلَٰمٍbighulaminof a sonعَلِيمٖaliminlearned٢٨
51:29فَأَقۡبَلَتِfa-aqbalatiThen came forwardٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥim'ra-atuhuhis wifeفِيfiwithصَرَّةٖsarratina loud voiceفَصَكَّتۡfasakkatand struckوَجۡهَهَاwajhahaher faceوَقَالَتۡwaqalatand she saidعَجُوزٌajuzunAn old womanعَقِيمٞaqimunbarren٢٩
51:30قَالُواْqaluThey saidكَذَٰلِكِkadhalikiThusقَالَqalasaidرَبُّكِۖrabbukiyour LordإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heهُوَhuwa[He]ٱلۡحَكِيمُal-hakimu(is) the All-Wiseٱلۡعَلِيمُal-'alimuthe All-Knower٣٠
51:31۞قَالَqalaHe saidفَمَاfamaThen whatخَطۡبُكُمۡkhatbukum(is) your missionأَيُّهَاayyuhaO messengersٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَal-mur'salunaO messengers٣١
51:32قَالُوٓاْqaluThey saidإِنَّآinnaIndeed weأُرۡسِلۡنَآur'sil'na[we] have been sentإِلَىٰilatoقَوۡمٖqawmina peopleمُّجۡرِمِينَmuj'riminacriminal٣٢
51:33لِنُرۡسِلَlinur'silaThat we may send downعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimupon themحِجَارَةٗhijaratanstonesمِّنminofطِينٖtininclay٣٣
51:34مُّسَوَّمَةًmusawwamatanMarkedعِندَindaby your Lordرَبِّكَrabbikaby your Lordلِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَlil'mus'rifinafor the transgressors٣٤
51:35فَأَخۡرَجۡنَاfa-akhrajnaThen We brought outمَنman(those) whoكَانَkanawereفِيهَاfihathereinمِنَminaofٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَal-mu'mininathe believers٣٥
51:36فَمَاfamaBut notوَجَدۡنَاwajadnaWe foundفِيهَاfihathereinغَيۡرَghayraother thanبَيۡتٖbaytina houseمِّنَminaofٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَal-mus'liminathe Muslims٣٦
51:37وَتَرَكۡنَاwataraknaAnd We leftفِيهَآfihathereinءَايَةٗayatana Signلِّلَّذِينَlilladhinafor those whoيَخَافُونَyakhafunafearٱلۡعَذَابَal-'adhabathe punishmentٱلۡأَلِيمَal-alimathe painful٣٧
51:38وَفِيwafiAnd inمُوسَىٰٓmusaMusaإِذۡidhwhenأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُarsalnahuWe sent himإِلَىٰilatoفِرۡعَوۡنَfir'awnaFiraunبِسُلۡطَٰنٖbisul'taninwith an authorityمُّبِينٖmubininclear٣٨
51:39فَتَوَلَّىٰfatawallaBut he turned awayبِرُكۡنِهِۦbiruk'nihiwith his supportersوَقَالَwaqalaand saidسَٰحِرٌsahirunA magicianأَوۡaworمَجۡنُونٞmajnununa madman٣٩
51:40فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُfa-akhadhnahuSo We took himوَجُنُودَهُۥwajunudahuand his hostsفَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡfanabadhnahumand threw themفِيfiintoٱلۡيَمِّal-yamithe seaوَهُوَwahuwawhile heمُلِيمٞmulimun(was) blameworthy٤٠
51:41وَفِيwafiAnd inعَادٍadinAadإِذۡidhwhenأَرۡسَلۡنَاarsalnaWe sentعَلَيۡهِمُalayhimuagainst themٱلرِّيحَal-rihathe windٱلۡعَقِيمَal-'aqimathe barren٤١
51:42مَاmaNotتَذَرُtadharuit leftمِنminanyشَيۡءٍshayinthingأَتَتۡatatit cameعَلَيۡهِalayhiupon itإِلَّاillabutجَعَلَتۡهُja'alathuit made itكَٱلرَّمِيمِkal-ramimilike disintegrated ruins٤٢
51:43وَفِيwafiAnd inثَمُودَthamudaThamudإِذۡidhwhenقِيلَqilawas saidلَهُمۡlahumto themتَمَتَّعُواْtamatta'uEnjoy (yourselves)حَتَّىٰhattaforحِينٖhinina time٤٣
51:44فَعَتَوۡاْfa'atawBut they rebelledعَنۡanagainstأَمۡرِamri(the) Commandرَبِّهِمۡrabbihim(of) their Lordفَأَخَذَتۡهُمُfa-akhadhathumuso seized themٱلصَّٰعِقَةُal-sa'iqatuthe thunderboltوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyيَنظُرُونَyanzurunawere looking٤٤
51:45فَمَاfamaThen notٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْis'tata'uthey were able toمِنmin[of]قِيَامٖqiyaminstandوَمَاwamaand notكَانُواْkanuthey couldمُنتَصِرِينَmuntasirinahelp themselves٤٥
51:46وَقَوۡمَwaqawmaAnd (the) peopleنُوحٖnuhin(of) Nuhمِّنminbeforeقَبۡلُۖqablubeforeإِنَّهُمۡinnahumindeed theyكَانُواْkanuwereقَوۡمٗاqawmana peopleفَٰسِقِينَfasiqinadefiantly disobedient٤٦
51:47وَٱلسَّمَآءَwal-samaaAnd the heavenبَنَيۡنَٰهَاbanaynahaWe constructed itبِأَيۡيْدٖbi-aydinwith strengthوَإِنَّاwa-innaand indeed Weلَمُوسِعُونَlamusi'una(are) surely (its) Expanders٤٧
51:48وَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaAnd the earthفَرَشۡنَٰهَاfarashnahaWe have spread itفَنِعۡمَfani'mahow excellentٱلۡمَٰهِدُونَal-mahiduna(are) the Spreaders٤٨
51:49وَمِنwaminAnd ofكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡءٍshayinthingخَلَقۡنَاkhalaqnaWe have createdزَوۡجَيۡنِzawjaynipairsلَعَلَّكُمۡla'allakumso that you mayتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarunaremember٤٩
51:50فَفِرُّوٓاْfafirruSo fleeإِلَىilatoٱللَّهِۖal-lahiAllahإِنِّيinniindeed I amلَكُمlakumto youمِّنۡهُmin'hufrom Himنَذِيرٞnadhiruna warnerمُّبِينٞmubinunclear٥٠
