ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ
ʹUdkhulooo

أَبۡوَٰبَ
ʹabwaaba
(the) gates
جَهَنَّمَ
Jahannama
(of) Hell
خَٰلِدِينَ
khaalideena
(to) abide forever
فِيهَاۖ
feehaa:
in it
فَبِئۡسَ
fabiʹsa
and wretched is
مَثۡوَى
mas̤wal
(the) abode
ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
mutakabbireen!
(of) the arrogant
٧٦
40:77
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
Faṣbir
So be patient
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
وَعۡدَ
Waʹdal
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٞۚ
Ḥaq̣q̣;
(is) true
فَإِمَّا
faʹimmaa
And whether
نُرِيَنَّكَ
nuriyannaka
We show you
بَعۡضَ
baʻḍal
some
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(of) what
نَعِدُهُمۡ
naʻiduhum
We have promised them
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ
natawaffayannaka
We cause you to die
فَإِلَيۡنَا
faʹilaynaa
then to Us
يُرۡجَعُونَ
yurjaʹoon.
they will be returned

وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We have sent
رُسُلٗا
rusulam
Messengers
مِّن
miñ
before you
قَبۡلِكَ
q̣ablika
before you
مِنۡهُم
minhum
Among them
مَّن
mañ
(are) who
قَصَصۡنَا
q̣aṣaṣnaa
We have related
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
to you
وَمِنۡهُم
wa-minhum
and among them
مَّن
mal
(are) who
لَّمۡ
lam
not
نَقۡصُصۡ
naq̣ṣuṣ
We have related
عَلَيۡكَۗ
ʻalayk.
to you
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كَانَ
kaana
is
لِرَسُولٍ
lirasoolin
for any Messenger
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَأۡتِيَ
yaʹtiya
he brings
بِـَٔايَةٍ
biʹAayatin
a Sign
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
biʹiẓnil
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah:
(of) Allah
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
comes
أَمۡرُ
ʹamrul
(the) Command
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
قُضِيَ
q̣uḍiya
it will be decided
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣i
in truth
وَخَسِرَ
wa-khasira
and will lose
هُنَالِكَ
hunaalikal
there
ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ
mubṭiloon.
the falsifiers
٧٨
40:79
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahul
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʻala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumul
for you
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمَ
ʹanʻaama
the cattle
لِتَرۡكَبُواْ
litarkaboo
that you may ride
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
some of them
وَمِنۡهَا
wa-minhaa
and some of them
تَأۡكُلُونَ
taʹkuloon;
you eat
٧٩
40:80
وَلَكُمۡ
Wa-lakum
And for you
فِيهَا
feehaa
in them
مَنَٰفِعُ
manaafiʻu
(are) benefits
وَلِتَبۡلُغُواْ
wa-litablug̣oo
and that you may reach
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
through them
حَاجَةٗ
ḥaajatañ
a need
فِي
fee
(that is) in
صُدُورِكُمۡ
ṣudoorikum
your breasts
وَعَلَيۡهَا
wa-ʻalayhaa
and upon them
وَعَلَى
wa-ʻalal
and upon
ٱلۡفُلۡكِ
fulki
the ships
تُحۡمَلُونَ
tuḥmaloon.
you are carried
٨٠
40:81
وَيُرِيكُمۡ
Wa-yureekum
And He shows you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His Signs
فَأَيَّ
faʹayya
Then which
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(of the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
تُنكِرُونَ
tuñkiroon.
will you deny
٨١
40:82
أَفَلَمۡ
ʹAfalam
Do they not
يَسِيرُواْ
yaseeroo
travel
فِي
fil
through
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
فَيَنظُرُواْ
fayañz̤̣uroo
and see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻAaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
مِن
miñ
(were) before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
q̣ablihim?
(were) before them
كَانُوٓاْ
Kaanooo
They were
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤ara
more numerous
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
than them
وَأَشَدَّ
wa-ʹashadda
and mightier
قُوَّةٗ
q̣uwwatañw
(in) strength
وَءَاثَارٗا
waʹaas̤aarañ
and impressions
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
فَمَآ
famaaa
but not
أَغۡنَىٰ
ʹag̣naa
availed
عَنۡهُم
ʻanhum
them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksiboon.
earn
٨٢
40:83
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
جَآءَتۡهُمۡ
jaaaʹathum
came to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum̃
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-Bayyinaati
with clear proofs
فَرِحُواْ
fariḥoo
they rejoiced
بِمَا
bimaa
in what
عِندَهُم
ʻiñdahum
they had
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
ʻilmi
the knowledge
وَحَاقَ
wa-ḥaaq̣a
and enveloped
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
[at it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon.

٨٣
40:84
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
رَأَوۡاْ
raʹaw
they saw
بَأۡسَنَا
Baʹsanaa
Our punishment
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they said
ءَامَنَّا
ʹaamannaa
We believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَحۡدَهُۥ
Waḥdahoo
Alone
وَكَفَرۡنَا
wa-kafarnaa
and we disbelieve
بِمَا
bimaa
in what
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
with Him
مُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
associate
٨٤
40:85
فَلَمۡ
Falam
But did not
يَكُ
yaku
But did not
يَنفَعُهُمۡ
yañfaʻuhum
benefit them
إِيمَٰنُهُمۡ
ʹeemaanuhum
their faith
لَمَّا
lammaa
when
رَأَوۡاْ
raʹaw
they saw
بَأۡسَنَاۖ
Baʹsanaa.
Our punishment
سُنَّتَ
Sunnatal
(Such is the) Way
ٱللَّهِ
laahil
(of) Allah
ٱلَّتِي
latee
which
قَدۡ
q̣ad
(has) indeed
خَلَتۡ
khalat
preceded
فِي
fee
among
عِبَادِهِۦۖ
ʻibaadih.
His slaves
وَخَسِرَ
Wa-khasira
And are lost
هُنَالِكَ
hunaalikal
there
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon!
the disbelievers
٨٥
