ٱلۡأَشۡهَٰدُ
al-ashhadu
the witnesses

40:52
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
لَا
la
not
يَنفَعُ
yanfa'u
will benefit
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡۖ
ma'dhiratuhum
their excuse
وَلَهُمُ
walahumu
and for them
ٱللَّعۡنَةُ
al-la'natu
(is) the curse
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
سُوٓءُ
suu
(is the) worst
ٱلدَّارِ
al-dari
home

40:53
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
al-huda
the guidance
وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا
wa-awrathna
and We caused to inherit
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(the) Children of Israel
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
٥٣
40:54
هُدٗى
hudan
A guide
وَذِكۡرَىٰ
wadhik'ra
and a reminder
لِأُوْلِي
li-uli
for those
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
al-albabi
(of) understanding
٥٤
40:55
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
fa-is'bir
So be patient
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(the) Promise of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(the) Promise of Allah
حَقّٞ
haqqun
(is) true
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
wa-is'taghfir
And ask forgiveness
لِذَنۢبِكَ
lidhanbika
for your sin
وَسَبِّحۡ
wasabbih
and glorify
بِحَمۡدِ
bihamdi
(the) praise
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ
bil-'ashiyi
in the evening
وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
wal-ib'kari
and the morning
٥٥
40:56
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujadiluna
dispute
فِيٓ
fi
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sul'tanin
any authority
أَتَىٰهُمۡ
atahum
(which) came to them
إِن
in
not
فِي
fi
(is) in
صُدُورِهِمۡ
sudurihim
their breasts
إِلَّا
illa
but
كِبۡرٞ
kib'run
greatness
مَّا
ma
not
هُم
hum
they
بِبَٰلِغِيهِۚ
bibalighihi
(can) reach it
فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ
fa-is'ta'idh
So seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِۖ
bil-lahi
in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
al-basiru
the All-Seer
٥٦
40:57
لَخَلۡقُ
lakhalqu
Surely (the) creation
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
أَكۡبَرُ
akbaru
(is) greater
مِنۡ
min
than
خَلۡقِ
khalqi
(the) creation
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the mankind
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٥٧
40:58
وَمَا
wama
And not
يَسۡتَوِي
yastawi
(are) equal
ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
al-a'ma
the blind
وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ
wal-basiru
and the seeing
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
وَلَا
wala
and not
ٱلۡمُسِيٓءُۚ
al-musiu
the evildoer
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
Little
مَّا
ma
(is) what
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tatadhakkaruna
you take heed

إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
al-sa'ata
the Hour
لَأٓتِيَةٞ
laatiyatun
(is) surely coming
لَّا
la
no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
٥٩
40:60
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
رَبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
your Lord
ٱدۡعُونِيٓ
id'uni
Call upon Me
أَسۡتَجِبۡ
astajib
I will respond
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum
to you
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
yastakbiruna
(are) proud
عَنۡ
an
to
عِبَادَتِي
ibadati
worship Me
سَيَدۡخُلُونَ
sayadkhuluna
will enter
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
دَاخِرِينَ
dakhirina
(in) humiliation
٦٠
40:61
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلَّيۡلَ
al-layla
the night
لِتَسۡكُنُواْ
litaskunu
that you may rest
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wal-nahara
and the day
مُبۡصِرًاۚ
mub'siran
giving visibility
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَذُو
ladhu
(is) Full (of) Bounty
فَضۡلٍ
fadlin
(is) Full (of) Bounty
عَلَى
ala
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يَشۡكُرُونَ
yashkuruna
give thanks
٦١
40:62
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhalikumu
That
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡ
rabbukum
your Lord
خَٰلِقُ
khaliqu
(the) Creator
كُلِّ
kulli
(of) all
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
things
لَّآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَۖ
huwa
Him
فَأَنَّىٰ
fa-anna
So how
تُؤۡفَكُونَ
tu'fakuna
are you deluded
٦٢
40:63
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يُؤۡفَكُ
yu'faku
were deluded
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajhaduna
rejecting
٦٣
40:64
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
the earth
قَرَارٗا
qararan
a place of settlement
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
wal-samaa
and the sky
بِنَآءٗ
binaan
a canopy
وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ
wasawwarakum
and He formed you
فَأَحۡسَنَ
fa-ahsana
and perfected
صُوَرَكُمۡ
suwarakum
your forms
وَرَزَقَكُم
warazaqakum
and provided you
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِۚ
al-tayibati
the good things
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhalikumu
That
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡۖ
rabbukum
your Lord
فَتَبَارَكَ
fatabaraka
Then blessed (is)
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
رَبُّ
rabbu
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٦٤
40:65
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلۡحَيُّ
al-hayu
(is) the Ever-Living
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
but
هُوَ
huwa
He
فَٱدۡعُوهُ
fa-id'uhu
so call Him
مُخۡلِصِينَ
mukh'lisina
(being) sincere
لَهُ
lahu
to Him
ٱلدِّينَۗ
al-dina
(in) the religion
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All praise (be)
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٦٥
40:66
۞قُلۡ
qul
Say
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
نُهِيتُ
nuhitu
[I] have been forbidden
أَنۡ
an
to
أَعۡبُدَ
a'buda
worship
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whom
تَدۡعُونَ
tad'una
you call
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
لَمَّا
lamma
when
جَآءَنِيَ
jaaniya
have come to me
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
al-bayinatu
the clear proofs
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
وَأُمِرۡتُ
wa-umir'tu
and I am commanded
أَنۡ
an
to
أُسۡلِمَ
us'lima
submit
لِرَبِّ
lirabbi
to (the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٦٦

هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaqakum
created you
مِّن
min
from
تُرَابٖ
turabin
dust
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
مِن
min
from
نُّطۡفَةٖ
nut'fatin
a semen-drop
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
مِنۡ
min
from
عَلَقَةٖ
alaqatin
a clinging substance
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُخۡرِجُكُمۡ
yukh'rijukum
He brings you out
طِفۡلٗا
tif'lan
(as) a child
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ
litablughu
lets you reach
أَشُدَّكُمۡ
ashuddakum
your maturity
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لِتَكُونُواْ
litakunu
lets you become
شُيُوخٗاۚ
shuyukhan
old
وَمِنكُم
waminkum
and among you
مَّن
man
(is he) who
يُتَوَفَّىٰ
yutawaffa
dies
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُۖ
qablu
before
وَلِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ
walitablughu
and lets you reach
أَجَلٗا
ajalan
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musamman
specified
وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ
wala'allakum
and that you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
use reason
٦٧
40:68
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
يُحۡيِۦ
yuh'yi
gives life
وَيُمِيتُۖ
wayumitu
and causes death
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
And when
قَضَىٰٓ
qada
He decrees
أَمۡرٗا
amran
a matter
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَقُولُ
yaqulu
He says
لَهُۥ
lahu
to it
كُن
kun
Be
فَيَكُونُ
fayakunu
and it is
٦٨
40:69
أَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
إِلَى
ila
[to]
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujadiluna
dispute
فِيٓ
fi
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
أَنَّىٰ
anna
How
يُصۡرَفُونَ
yus'rafuna
they are turned away
٦٩
40:70
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kadhabu
deny
بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
bil-kitabi
the Book
وَبِمَآ
wabima
and with what
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalna
We sent
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
رُسُلَنَاۖ
rusulana
Our Messengers
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
but soon
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
they will know
٧٠
40:71
إِذِ
idhi
When
ٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلُ
al-aghlalu
the iron collars
فِيٓ
fi
(will be) around
أَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡ
a'naqihim
their necks
وَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُ
wal-salasilu
and the chains
يُسۡحَبُونَ
yus'habuna
they will be dragged
٧١
40:72
فِي
fi
In
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
al-hamimi
the boiling water
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
يُسۡجَرُونَ
yus'jaruna
they will be burned
٧٢
40:73
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
قِيلَ
qila
it will be said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
أَيۡنَ
ayna
Where
مَا
ma
(is) that which
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used to
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tush'rikuna
associate
٧٣
40:74
مِن
min
Other than
دُونِ
duni
Other than
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
Allah
قَالُواْ
qalu
They will say
ضَلُّواْ
dallu
They have departed
عَنَّا
anna
from us
بَل
bal
Nay
لَّمۡ
lam
Not
نَكُن
nakun
we used to
نَّدۡعُواْ
nad'u
[we] call
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayan
anything
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يُضِلُّ
yudillu
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah lets go astray
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
the disbelievers
٧٤
40:75
ذَٰلِكُم
dhalikum
That was
بِمَا
bima
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used to
تَفۡرَحُونَ
tafrahuna
rejoice
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
right
وَبِمَا
wabima
and because
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used to
تَمۡرَحُونَ
tamrahuna
be insolent
٧٥
40:76
ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ
ud'khulu
Enter
أَبۡوَٰبَ
abwaba
(the) gates
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
(of) Hell
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
(to) abide forever
فِيهَاۖ
fiha
in it
فَبِئۡسَ
fabi'sa
and wretched is
مَثۡوَى
mathwa
(the) abode
ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
al-mutakabirina
(of) the arrogant
٧٦
40:77
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
fa-is'bir
So be patient
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٞۚ
haqqun
(is) true
فَإِمَّا
fa-imma
And whether
نُرِيَنَّكَ
nuriyannaka
We show you
بَعۡضَ
ba'da
some
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(of) what
نَعِدُهُمۡ
na'iduhum
We have promised them
أَوۡ
aw
or
نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ
natawaffayannaka
We cause you to die
فَإِلَيۡنَا
fa-ilayna
then to Us
يُرۡجَعُونَ
yur'ja'una
they will be returned

وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalna
We have sent
رُسُلٗا
rusulan
Messengers
مِّن
min
before you
قَبۡلِكَ
qablika
before you
مِنۡهُم
min'hum
Among them
مَّن
man
(are) who
قَصَصۡنَا
qasasna
We have related
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
وَمِنۡهُم
wamin'hum
and among them
مَّن
man
(are) who
لَّمۡ
lam
not
نَقۡصُصۡ
naqsus
We have related
عَلَيۡكَۗ
alayka
to you
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
is
لِرَسُولٍ
lirasulin
for any Messenger
أَن
an
that
يَأۡتِيَ
yatiya
he brings
بِـَٔايَةٍ
biayatin
a Sign
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
So when
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
أَمۡرُ
amru
(the) Command
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
قُضِيَ
qudiya
it will be decided
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
in truth
وَخَسِرَ
wakhasira
and will lose
هُنَالِكَ
hunalika
there
ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ
al-mub'tiluna
the falsifiers
٧٨
40:79
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمَ
al-an'ama
the cattle
لِتَرۡكَبُواْ
litarkabu
that you may ride
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
some of them
وَمِنۡهَا
wamin'ha
and some of them
تَأۡكُلُونَ
takuluna
you eat
٧٩
40:80
وَلَكُمۡ
walakum
And for you
فِيهَا
fiha
in them
مَنَٰفِعُ
manafi'u
(are) benefits
وَلِتَبۡلُغُواْ
walitablughu
and that you may reach
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
through them
حَاجَةٗ
hajatan
a need
فِي
fi
(that is) in
صُدُورِكُمۡ
sudurikum
your breasts
وَعَلَيۡهَا
wa'alayha
and upon them
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
and upon
ٱلۡفُلۡكِ
al-ful'ki
the ships
تُحۡمَلُونَ
tuh'maluna
you are carried
٨٠
40:81
وَيُرِيكُمۡ
wayurikum
And He shows you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ayatihi
His Signs
فَأَيَّ
fa-ayya
Then which
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(of the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
تُنكِرُونَ
tunkiruna
will you deny
٨١
40:82
أَفَلَمۡ
afalam
Do they not
يَسِيرُواْ
yasiru
travel
فِي
fi
through
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
فَيَنظُرُواْ
fayanzuru
and see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
مِن
min
(were) before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
qablihim
(were) before them
كَانُوٓاْ
kanu
They were
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
more numerous
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
than them
وَأَشَدَّ
wa-ashadda
and mightier
قُوَّةٗ
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَءَاثَارٗا
waatharan
and impressions
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
فَمَآ
fama
but not
أَغۡنَىٰ
aghna
availed
عَنۡهُم
anhum
them
مَّا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksibuna
earn
٨٢
40:83
فَلَمَّا
falamma
Then when
جَآءَتۡهُمۡ
jaathum
came to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
فَرِحُواْ
farihu
they rejoiced
بِمَا
bima
in what
عِندَهُم
indahum
they had
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
al-'il'mi
the knowledge
وَحَاقَ
wahaqa
and enveloped
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihi
[at it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziuna
mock
٨٣
40:84
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
رَأَوۡاْ
ra-aw
they saw
بَأۡسَنَا
basana
Our punishment
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
they said
ءَامَنَّا
amanna
We believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَحۡدَهُۥ
wahdahu
Alone
وَكَفَرۡنَا
wakafarna
and we disbelieve
بِمَا
bima
in what
كُنَّا
kunna
we used to
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
مُشۡرِكِينَ
mush'rikina
associate
٨٤
40:85
فَلَمۡ
falam
But did not
يَكُ
yaku
But did not
يَنفَعُهُمۡ
yanfa'uhum
benefit them
إِيمَٰنُهُمۡ
imanuhum
their faith
لَمَّا
lamma
when
رَأَوۡاْ
ra-aw
they saw
بَأۡسَنَاۖ
basana
Our punishment
سُنَّتَ
sunnata
(Such is the) Way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
قَدۡ
qad
(has) indeed
خَلَتۡ
khalat
preceded
فِي
fi
among
عِبَادِهِۦۖ
ibadihi
His slaves
وَخَسِرَ
wakhasira
And are lost
هُنَالِكَ
hunalika
there
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
al-kafiruna
the disbelievers
٨٥
