وَٱلَّذِينَ

ʹaamanoo
believe
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
وَيَوۡمَ
wa-Yawma
and (on the) Day
يَقُومُ
yaq̣oomul
(when) will stand
ٱلۡأَشۡهَٰدُ
ʹAshhaad,―
the witnesses
٥١
40:52
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(The) Day
لَا
laa-
not
يَنفَعُ
yañfaʻuz̤̣
will benefit
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeena
the wrongdoers
مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡۖ
maʻẓiratuhum
their excuse
وَلَهُمُ
wa-lahumul
and for them
ٱللَّعۡنَةُ
Laʻnatu
(is) the curse
وَلَهُمۡ
wa-lahum
and for them
سُوٓءُ
Soooʹud
(is the) worst
ٱلدَّارِ
Daar.

وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
ʹaataynaa
We gave
مُوسَى
Moosal
Musa
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
Hudaa
the guidance
وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا
wa-ʹawras̤naa
and We caused to inherit
بَنِيٓ
Baneee
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
ʹIsraaaʹeelal
(the) Children of Israel
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaab―
the Book
٥٣
40:54
هُدٗى
Hudañw
A guide
وَذِكۡرَىٰ
Wa-Ẓikraa
and a reminder
لِأُوْلِي
liʹulil
for those
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
ʹalbaab.
(of) understanding
٥٤
40:55
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
Faṣbir
So be patient
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
وَعۡدَ
Waʻdal
(the) Promise of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) Promise of Allah
حَقّٞ
ḥaq̣q̣uñw
(is) true
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
wastag̣fir
And ask forgiveness
لِذَنۢبِكَ
liẓambika
for your sin
وَسَبِّحۡ
wa-sabbiḥ
and glorify
بِحَمۡدِ
bi-Ḥamdi
(the) praise
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ
bilʻashiyyi
in the evening
وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
wal-ʹibkaar.
and the morning
٥٥
40:56
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujaadiloona
dispute
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sulṭaanin
any authority
أَتَىٰهُمۡ
ʹataahum
(which) came to them
إِن
ʹiñ
not
فِي
fee
(is) in
صُدُورِهِمۡ
ṣudoorihim
their breasts
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
كِبۡرٞ
kibrum
greatness
مَّا
maa
not
هُم
hum̃
they
بِبَٰلِغِيهِۚ
bibaalig̣eeh:
(can) reach it
فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ
fastaʻiẓ
So seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِۖ
billaah:
in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
هُوَ
Huwas
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
Sameeʻul
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
Baṣeer.
the All-Seer
٥٦
40:57
لَخَلۡقُ
Lakhalq̣us
Surely (the) creation
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
أَكۡبَرُ
ʹakbaru
(is) greater
مِنۡ
min
than
خَلۡقِ
khalq̣in
(the) creation
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the mankind
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤aran
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon.
know
٥٧
40:58
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
يَسۡتَوِي
yastawil
(are) equal
ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
ʹaʻmaa
the blind
وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ
walbaṣeer:
and the seeing
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
righteous deeds
وَلَا
wa-lal
and not
ٱلۡمُسِيٓءُۚ
museeeʹ.
the evildoer
قَلِيلٗا
Q̣aleelam
Little
مَّا
maa
(is) what
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tataẓakkaroon!
you take heed
٥٨

40:59
إِنَّ
ʹInnas
Indeed
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
Saaʻata
the Hour
لَأٓتِيَةٞ
laʹaatiyatul
(is) surely coming
لَّا
laa
no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤aran
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoon.
believe
٥٩
40:60
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aala
And said
رَبُّكُمُ
Rabbukumud
your Lord
ٱدۡعُونِيٓ
ʻooneee
Call upon Me
أَسۡتَجِبۡ
ʹastajib
I will respond
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum.
to you
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
yastakbiroona
(are) proud
عَنۡ
ʻan
to
عِبَادَتِي
ʻibaadatee
worship Me
سَيَدۡخُلُونَ
sayadkhuloona
will enter
جَهَنَّمَ
Jahannama
Hell
دَاخِرِينَ
daakhireen!
(in) humiliation
٦٠
40:61
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahul
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʻala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumul
for you
ٱلَّيۡلَ
layla
the night
لِتَسۡكُنُواْ
litaskunoo
that you may rest
فِيهِ
feehi
in it
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wannahaara
and the day
مُبۡصِرًاۚ
mubṣiraa.
giving visibility
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَذُو
la-Ẓoo
(is) Full (of) Bounty
فَضۡلٍ
Faḍlin
(is) Full (of) Bounty
عَلَى
ʻalan
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤aran
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَشۡكُرُونَ
yashkuroon.
give thanks
٦١
40:62
ذَٰلِكُمُ
Ẓaalikumul
That
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡ
Rabbukum
your Lord
خَٰلِقُ
khaaliq̣u
(the) Creator
كُلِّ
kulli
(of) all
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹ.
things
لَّآ
Laaa
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ʹilaaha
god
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
هُوَۖ
Hoo:
Him
فَأَنَّىٰ
Faʹannaa
So how
تُؤۡفَكُونَ
tuʹfakoon!
are you deluded
٦٢
40:63
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُؤۡفَكُ
yuʹfakul
were deluded
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
were
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajḥadoon.
rejecting
٦٣
40:64
ٱللَّهُ
ʹAllaahul
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʻala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumul
for you
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
قَرَارٗا
q̣araarañw
a place of settlement
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
wassamaaaʹa
and the sky
بِنَآءٗ
binaaaʹañw
a canopy
وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ
waṣawwarakum
and He formed you
فَأَحۡسَنَ
faʹaḥsana
and perfected
صُوَرَكُمۡ
ṣuwarakum
your forms
وَرَزَقَكُم
wa-razaq̣akum
and provided you
مِّنَ
minaṭ
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِۚ
ṭayyibaat;―
the good things
ذَٰلِكُمُ
ẓaalikumul
That
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡۖ
Rabbukum.
your Lord
فَتَبَارَكَ
Fatabaarakal
Then blessed (is)
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
رَبُّ
Rabbul
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen!
(of) the worlds
٦٤
40:65
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلۡحَيُّ
Ḥayyu
(is) the Ever-Living
لَآ
Laaa
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ʹilaaha
god
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
هُوَ
Huwa
He
فَٱدۡعُوهُ
fadʻoohu
so call Him
مُخۡلِصِينَ
mukhliṣeena
(being) sincere
لَهُ
lahud
to Him
ٱلدِّينَۗ
deen.
(in) the religion
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
ʹAl-Ḥamdu
All praise (be)
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
Rabbil
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen!
(of) the worlds
٦٥
40:66
۞قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I
نُهِيتُ
nuheetu
[I] have been forbidden
أَنۡ
ʹan
to
أَعۡبُدَ
ʹaʻbudal
worship
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those whom
تَدۡعُونَ
tadʻoona
you call
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
لَمَّا
lammaa
when
جَآءَنِيَ
jaaʹaniyal
have come to me
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
Bayyinaatu
the clear proofs
مِن
mir
from
رَّبِّي
Rabbee,
my Lord
وَأُمِرۡتُ
wa-ʹumirtu
and I am commanded
أَنۡ
ʹan
to
أُسۡلِمَ
ʹuslima
submit
لِرَبِّ
li-Rabbil
to (the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds

هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaq̣akum
created you
مِّن
miñ
from
تُرَابٖ
turaabiñ
dust
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مِن
min
from
نُّطۡفَةٖ
nuṭfatiñ
a semen-drop
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
مِنۡ
min
from
عَلَقَةٖ
ʻalaq̣atiñ
a clinging substance
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
يُخۡرِجُكُمۡ
yukhrijukum
He brings you out
طِفۡلٗا
ṭiflañ
(as) a child
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ
litablug̣ooo
lets you reach
أَشُدَّكُمۡ
ʹashuddakum
your maturity
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
لِتَكُونُواْ
litakoonoo
lets you become
شُيُوخٗاۚ
shuyookhaa,―
old
وَمِنكُم
Wa-miñkum
and among you
مَّن
mañy
(is he) who
يُتَوَفَّىٰ
yutawaffaa
dies
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُۖ
q̣ablu
before
وَلِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ
wa-litablug̣ooo
and lets you reach
أَجَلٗا
ʹajalam
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musammañw
specified
وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ
walaʻallakum
and that you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon.
use reason
٦٧
40:68
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
يُحۡيِۦ
yuḥyee
gives life
وَيُمِيتُۖ
wa-yumeet;
and causes death
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
And when
قَضَىٰٓ
q̣aḍaaa
He decrees
أَمۡرٗا
ʹamañ
a matter
فَإِنَّمَا
faʹinnamaa
then only
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
He says
لَهُۥ
lahoo
to it
كُن
ʻʻKUÑʹʹ
Be
فَيَكُونُ
fayakoon.
and it is
٦٨
40:69
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
إِلَى
ʹilal
[to]
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujaadiloona
dispute
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laah?
(of) Allah
أَنَّىٰ
ʹAnnaa
How
يُصۡرَفُونَ
yuṣrafoon?
they are turned away
٦٩
40:70
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
deny
بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
bil-Kitaabi
the Book
وَبِمَآ
wa-bimaaa
and with what
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
بِهِۦ
bihee
with it
رُسُلَنَاۖ
rusulanaa
Our Messengers
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
but soon
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon,
they will know
٧٠
40:71
إِذِ
ʹIẓil
When
ٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلُ
ʹag̣laalu
the iron collars
فِيٓ
feee
(will be) around
أَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡ
ʹaʻnaaq̣ihim
their necks
وَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُ
wassalaasilu
and the chains
يُسۡحَبُونَ
yusḥaboon.
they will be dragged
٧١
40:72
فِي
Fil
In
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
ḥameemi,
the boiling water
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
فِي
fin
in
ٱلنَّارِ
Naari
the Fire
يُسۡجَرُونَ
yusjaroon.
they will be burned
٧٢
40:73
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
قِيلَ
q̣eela
it will be said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
أَيۡنَ
ʹayna
Where
مَا
maa-
(is) that which
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tushrikoon
associate
٧٣
40:74
مِن
Miñ
Other than
دُونِ
doonil
Other than
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah?
Allah
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They will say
ضَلُّواْ
ḍalloo
They have departed
عَنَّا
ʻannaa
from us
بَل
bal
Nay
لَّمۡ
lam
Not
نَكُن
nakun
we used to
نَّدۡعُواْ
nadʻoo
[we] call
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayʹaa.
anything
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُضِلُّ
yuḍillul
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
Allah lets go astray
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
the disbelievers
٧٤
40:75
ذَٰلِكُم
Ẓaalikum̃
That was
بِمَا
bimaa
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَفۡرَحُونَ
tafraḥoona
rejoice
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayril
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
Ḥaq̣q̣i
right
وَبِمَا
wa-bimaa
and because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَمۡرَحُونَ
tamraḥoon.
be insolent
٧٥
