he will change
دِينَكُمۡ

your religion
أَوۡ

أَن

يُظۡهِرَ
yuz'hira
he may cause to appear
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
ٱلۡفَسَادَ
al-fasada
the corruption
٢٦
40:27
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Musa
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
عُذۡتُ
udh'tu
[I] seek refuge
بِرَبِّي
birabbi
in my Lord
وَرَبِّكُم
warabbikum
and your Lord
مِّن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مُتَكَبِّرٖ
mutakabbirin
arrogant one
لَّا
la
not
يُؤۡمِنُ
yu'minu
who believes
بِيَوۡمِ
biyawmi
(in the) Day
ٱلۡحِسَابِ
al-hisabi
(of) the Account
٢٧
40:28
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
رَجُلٞ
rajulun
a man
مُّؤۡمِنٞ
mu'minun
believing
مِّنۡ
min
from
ءَالِ
ali
(the) family
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
يَكۡتُمُ
yaktumu
who conceal(ed)
إِيمَٰنَهُۥٓ
imanahu
his faith
أَتَقۡتُلُونَ
ataqtuluna
Will you kill
رَجُلًا
rajulan
a man
أَن
an
because
يَقُولَ
yaqula
he says
رَبِّيَ
rabbiya
My Lord
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
وَقَدۡ
waqad
and indeed
جَآءَكُم
jaakum
he has brought you
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
clear proofs
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَكُ
yaku
he is
كَٰذِبٗا
kadhiban
a liar
فَعَلَيۡهِ
fa'alayhi
then upon him
كَذِبُهُۥۖ
kadhibuhu
(is) his lie
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يَكُ
yaku
he is
صَادِقٗا
sadiqan
truthful
يُصِبۡكُم
yusib'kum
(there) will strike you
بَعۡضُ
ba'du
some (of)
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(that) which
يَعِدُكُمۡۖ
ya'idukum
he threatens you
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
guide
مَنۡ
man
(one) who
هُوَ
huwa
[he]
مُسۡرِفٞ
mus'rifun
(is) a transgressor
كَذَّابٞ
kadhabun
a liar
٢٨
40:29
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
لَكُمُ
lakumu
For you
ٱلۡمُلۡكُ
al-mul'ku
(is) the kingdom
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ
al-yawma
today
ظَٰهِرِينَ
zahirina
dominant
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
فَمَن
faman
but who
يَنصُرُنَا
yansuruna
will help us
مِنۢ
min
from
بَأۡسِ
basi
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
إِن
in
if
جَآءَنَاۚ
jaana
it came to us
قَالَ
qala
Said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
مَآ
ma
Not
أُرِيكُمۡ
urikum
I show you
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَآ
ma
what
أَرَىٰ
ara
I see
وَمَآ
wama
and not
أَهۡدِيكُمۡ
ahdikum
I guide you
إِلَّا
illa
except
سَبِيلَ
sabila
(to the) path
ٱلرَّشَادِ
al-rashadi
the right
٢٩
40:30
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
(he) who
ءَامَنَ
amana
believed
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
akhafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُم
alaykum
for you
مِّثۡلَ
mith'la
like
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(the) day
ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
al-ahzabi
(of) the companies
٣٠
40:31
مِثۡلَ
mith'la
Like
دَأۡبِ
dabi
(the) plight
قَوۡمِ
qawmi
(of the) people
نُوحٖ
nuhin
(of) Nuh
وَعَادٖ
wa'adin
and Aad
وَثَمُودَ
wathamuda
and Thamud
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those
مِنۢ
min
after them
بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ
ba'dihim
after them
وَمَا
wama
And Allah (does) not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
And Allah (does) not
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
want
ظُلۡمٗا
zul'man
injustice
لِّلۡعِبَادِ
lil'ibadi
for (His) slaves
٣١
40:32
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
wayaqawmi
And O my people
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
akhafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
for you
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
ٱلتَّنَادِ
al-tanadi
(of) Calling
٣٢
40:33
يَوۡمَ
yawma
A Day
تُوَلُّونَ
tuwalluna
you will turn back
مُدۡبِرِينَ
mud'birina
fleeing
مَا
ma
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مِنۡ
min
any
عَاصِمٖۗ
asimin
protector
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُضۡلِلِ
yud'lili
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah lets go astray
فَمَا
fama
then not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِنۡ
min
any
هَادٖ
hadin
guide

وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
جَآءَكُمۡ
jaakum
came to you
يُوسُفُ
yusufu
Yusuf
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
فَمَا
fama
but not
زِلۡتُمۡ
zil'tum
you ceased
فِي
fi
in
شَكّٖ
shakkin
doubt
مِّمَّا
mimma
about what
جَآءَكُم
jaakum
he brought to you
بِهِۦۖ
bihi
[with it]
حَتَّىٰٓ
hatta
until
إِذَا
idha
when
هَلَكَ
halaka
he died
قُلۡتُمۡ
qul'tum
you said
لَن
lan
Never
يَبۡعَثَ
yab'atha
will Allah raise
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
will Allah raise
مِنۢ
min
after him
بَعۡدِهِۦ
ba'dihi
after him
رَسُولٗاۚ
rasulan
a Messenger
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يُضِلُّ
yudillu
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah lets go astray
مَنۡ
man
who
هُوَ
huwa
[he]
مُسۡرِفٞ
mus'rifun
(is) a transgressor
مُّرۡتَابٌ
mur'tabun
a doubter
٣٤
40:35
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujadiluna
dispute
فِيٓ
fi
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sul'tanin
any authority
أَتَىٰهُمۡۖ
atahum
(having) come to them
كَبُرَ
kabura
(it) is greatly
مَقۡتًا
maqtan
hateful
عِندَ
inda
near Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
near Allah
وَعِندَ
wa'inda
and near
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
ءَامَنُواْۚ
amanu
who believe
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يَطۡبَعُ
yatba'u
Allah sets a seal
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah sets a seal
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
قَلۡبِ
qalbi
heart
مُتَكَبِّرٖ
mutakabbirin
(of) an arrogant
جَبَّارٖ
jabbarin
tyrant
٣٥
40:36
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
yahamanu
O Haman
ٱبۡنِ
ib'ni
Construct
لِي
li
for me
صَرۡحٗا
sarhan
a tower
لَّعَلِّيٓ
la'alli
that I may
أَبۡلُغُ
ablughu
reach
ٱلۡأَسۡبَٰبَ
al-asbaba
the ways
٣٦
40:37
أَسۡبَٰبَ
asbaba
(The) ways
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(to) the heavens
فَأَطَّلِعَ
fa-attali'a
so I may look
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
at
إِلَٰهِ
ilahi
(the) God
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
and indeed I
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
la-azunnuhu
[I] surely think him
كَٰذِبٗاۚ
kadhiban
(to be) a liar
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
زُيِّنَ
zuyyina
was made fair-seeming
لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ
lifir'awna
to Firaun
سُوٓءُ
suu
(the) evil
عَمَلِهِۦ
amalihi
(of) his deed
وَصُدَّ
wasudda
and he was averted
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ
al-sabili
the way
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَيۡدُ
kaydu
(was the) plot
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
إِلَّا
illa
except
فِي
fi
in
تَبَابٖ
tababin
ruin
٣٧
40:38
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
the one who
ءَامَنَ
amana
believed
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
ٱتَّبِعُونِ
ittabi'uni
Follow me
أَهۡدِكُمۡ
ahdikum
I will guide you
سَبِيلَ
sabila
(to the) way
ٱلرَّشَادِ
al-rashadi
the right
٣٨
40:39
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
this
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ
al-hayatu
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
مَتَٰعٞ
mata'un
(is) enjoyment
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
and indeed
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
al-akhirata
the Hereafter
هِيَ
hiya
it
دَارُ
daru
(is the) home
ٱلۡقَرَارِ
al-qarari
(of) settlement
٣٩
40:40
مَنۡ
man
Whoever
عَمِلَ
amila
does
سَيِّئَةٗ
sayyi-atan
an evil
فَلَا
fala
then not
يُجۡزَىٰٓ
yuj'za
he will be recompensed
إِلَّا
illa
but
مِثۡلَهَاۖ
mith'laha
(the) like thereof
وَمَنۡ
waman
and whoever
عَمِلَ
amila
does
صَٰلِحٗا
salihan
righteous (deeds)
مِّن
min
of
ذَكَرٍ
dhakarin
male
أَوۡ
aw
or
أُنثَىٰ
untha
female
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
مُؤۡمِنٞ
mu'minun
(is) a believer
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
يَدۡخُلُونَ
yadkhuluna
will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
يُرۡزَقُونَ
yur'zaquna
they will be given provision
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
حِسَابٖ
hisabin
account

۞وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
wayaqawmi
And O my people
مَا
ma
What (is)
لِيٓ
li
for me
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ad'ukum
(that) I call you
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ
al-najati
the salvation
وَتَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
watad'unani
while you call me
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
٤١
40:42
تَدۡعُونَنِي
tad'unani
You call me
لِأَكۡفُرَ
li-akfura
that I disbelieve
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَأُشۡرِكَ
wa-ush'rika
and (to) associate
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
مَا
ma
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لِي
li
for me
بِهِۦ
bihi
of it
عِلۡمٞ
il'mun
any knowledge
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ana
and I
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ad'ukum
call you
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
al-'azizi
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡغَفَّٰرِ
al-ghafari
the Oft-Forgiving
٤٢
40:43
لَا
la
No
جَرَمَ
jarama
doubt
أَنَّمَا
annama
that what
تَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
tad'unani
you call me
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to it
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for it
دَعۡوَةٞ
da'watun
a claim
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
وَلَا
wala
and not
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
مَرَدَّنَآ
maraddana
our return
إِلَى
ila
(is) to
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
al-mus'rifina
the transgressors
هُمۡ
hum
they
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(will be the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
٤٣
40:44
فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ
fasatadhkuruna
And you will remember
مَآ
ma
what
أَقُولُ
aqulu
I say
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum
to you
وَأُفَوِّضُ
wa-ufawwidu
and I entrust
أَمۡرِيٓ
amri
my affair
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بَصِيرُۢ
basirun
(is) All-Seer
بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
bil-'ibadi
of (His) slaves
٤٤
40:45
فَوَقَىٰهُ
fawaqahu
So Allah protected him
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
So Allah protected him
سَيِّـَٔاتِ
sayyiati
(from the) evils
مَا
ma
that
مَكَرُواْۖ
makaru
they plotted
وَحَاقَ
wahaqa
and enveloped
بِـَٔالِ
biali
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
سُوٓءُ
suu
(the) worst
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
punishment
٤٥
40:46
ٱلنَّارُ
al-naru
The Fire
يُعۡرَضُونَ
yu'raduna
they are exposed
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
to it
غُدُوّٗا
ghuduwwan
morning
وَعَشِيّٗاۚ
wa'ashiyyan
and evening
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqumu
(will be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
al-sa'atu
the Hour
أَدۡخِلُوٓاْ
adkhilu
Cause to enter
ءَالَ
ala
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
أَشَدَّ
ashadda
(in the) severest
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
punishment
٤٦
40:47
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
يَتَحَآجُّونَ
yatahajjuna
they will dispute
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
فَيَقُولُ
fayaqulu
then will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ
al-du'afau
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
is'takbaru
were arrogant
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
كُنَّا
kunna
[we] were
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تَبَعٗا
taba'an
followers
فَهَلۡ
fahal
so can
أَنتُم
antum
you
مُّغۡنُونَ
mugh'nuna
avert
عَنَّا
anna
from us
نَصِيبٗا
nasiban
a portion
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
٤٧
40:48
قَالَ
qala
Will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
is'takbaru
(were) arrogant
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
كُلّٞ
kullun
all
فِيهَآ
fiha
(are) in it
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
قَدۡ
qad
certainly
حَكَمَ
hakama
has judged
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلۡعِبَادِ
al-'ibadi
(His) slaves
٤٨
40:49
وَقَالَ
waqala
And will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
لِخَزَنَةِ
likhazanati
to (the) keepers
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
(of) Hell
ٱدۡعُواْ
id'u
Call
رَبَّكُمۡ
rabbakum
your Lord
يُخَفِّفۡ
yukhaffif
(to) lighten
عَنَّا
anna
for us
يَوۡمٗا
yawman
a day
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
the punishment
٤٩

قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They (will) say
أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Did there not
تَكُ
taku
Did there not
تَأۡتِيكُمۡ
tatikum
come to you
رُسُلُكُم
rusulukum
your Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
قَالُواْ
qalu
They (will) say
بَلَىٰۚ
bala
Yes
قَالُواْ
qalu
They (will) say
فَٱدۡعُواْۗ
fa-id'u
Then call
وَمَا
wama
but not
دُعَٰٓؤُاْ
du'au
(is the) call
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
(of) the disbelievers
إِلَّا
illa
except
فِي
fi
in
ضَلَٰلٍ
dalalin
error
