Musa
وَلۡيَدۡعُ
walyadʻu
and let him call
رَبَّهُۥٓۖ
Rabbah!
his Lord
إِنِّيٓ
ʹInneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُبَدِّلَ
yubaddila
he will change
دِينَكُمۡ
deenakum
your religion
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُظۡهِرَ
yuz̤̣hira
he may cause to appear
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍil
the land
ٱلۡفَسَادَ
fasaad!
the corruption
٢٦
40:27
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aala
And said
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosaaa
Musa
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I
عُذۡتُ
ʻuẓtu
[I] seek refuge
بِرَبِّي
bi-Rabbee
in my Lord
وَرَبِّكُم
wa-Rabbikum
and your Lord
مِّن
miñ
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مُتَكَبِّرٖ
mutakabbiril
arrogant one
لَّا
laa
not
يُؤۡمِنُ
yuʹminu
who believes
بِيَوۡمِ
bi-Yawmil
(in the) Day
ٱلۡحِسَابِ
Ḥisaab.
(of) the Account
٢٧
40:28
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aala
And said
رَجُلٞ
rajulum
a man
مُّؤۡمِنٞ
Muʹminum
believing
مِّنۡ
min
from
ءَالِ
ʹAali
(the) family
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
(of) Firaun
يَكۡتُمُ
yaktumu
who conceal(ed)
إِيمَٰنَهُۥٓ
ʹeemaanahooo
his faith
أَتَقۡتُلُونَ
ʹataq̣tuloona
Will you kill
رَجُلًا
rajulan
a man
أَن
ʹañy
because
يَقُولَ
yaq̣oola
he says
رَبِّيَ
Rabbiyal
My Lord
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
and indeed
جَآءَكُم
jaaaʹakum
he has brought you
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-Bayyinaati
clear proofs
مِن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
Rabbikum?
your Lord
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَكُ
yaku
he is
كَٰذِبٗا
kaaẓibañ
a liar
فَعَلَيۡهِ
faʻalayhi
then upon him
كَذِبُهُۥۖ
kaẓibuh;
(is) his lie
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
and if
يَكُ
yaku
he is
صَادِقٗا
ṣaadiq̣añy
truthful
يُصِبۡكُم
yuṣibkum̃
(there) will strike you
بَعۡضُ
baʻḍul
some (of)
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(that) which
يَعِدُكُمۡۖ
yaʻidukum:
he threatens you
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdee
guide
مَنۡ
man
(one) who
هُوَ
huwa
[he]
مُسۡرِفٞ
musrifuñ
(is) a transgressor
كَذَّابٞ
kaẓẓaab!
a liar
٢٨
40:29
يَٰقَوۡمِ
Yaa-Q̣awmi
O my people
لَكُمُ
lakumul
For you
ٱلۡمُلۡكُ
mulkul
(is) the kingdom
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ
yawma
today
ظَٰهِرِينَ
z̤̣aahireena
dominant
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍ:
the land
فَمَن
famañy
but who
يَنصُرُنَا
yañṣurunaa
will help us
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَأۡسِ
baʹsil
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
إِن
ʹiñ
if
جَآءَنَاۚ
jaaaʹanaa?
it came to us
قَالَ
Q̣aala
Said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
Firʻawnu
Firaun
مَآ
maaa
Not
أُرِيكُمۡ
ʹureekum
I show you
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَآ
maaa
what
أَرَىٰ
ʹaraa
I see
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and not
أَهۡدِيكُمۡ
ʹahdeekum
I guide you
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
سَبِيلَ
Sabeelar
(to the) path
ٱلرَّشَادِ
Rashaad!
the right
٢٩
40:30
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
And said
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(he) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-Q̣awmi
O my people
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
for you
مِّثۡلَ
mis̤la
like
يَوۡمِ
Yawmil
(the) day
ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
ʹAḥzaab;
(of) the companies
٣٠
40:31
مِثۡلَ
Mis̤la
Like
دَأۡبِ
daʹbi
(the) plight
قَوۡمِ
Q̣awmi
(of the) people
نُوحٖ
Nooḥiñw
(of) Nuh
وَعَادٖ
WaʻAadiñw
and Aad
وَثَمُودَ
Wa-Samooda
and Thamud
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those
مِنۢ
mim
after them
بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ
baʻdihim:
after them
وَمَا
wa-mal
And Allah (does) not
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
And Allah (does) not
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
want
ظُلۡمٗا
z̤̣ulmal
injustice
لِّلۡعِبَادِ
lilʻIbaad.
for (His) slaves
٣١
40:32
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaa-Q̣awmi
And O my people
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
يَوۡمَ
Yawmat
(the) Day
ٱلتَّنَادِ
Tanaad,―
(of) Calling
٣٢
40:33
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
A Day
تُوَلُّونَ
tuwalloona
you will turn back
مُدۡبِرِينَ
mud-bireen:
fleeing
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مِنۡ
min
any
عَاصِمٖۗ
ʻaaṣim:
protector
وَمَن
wa-mañy
And whoever
يُضۡلِلِ
yuḍlilil
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah lets go astray
فَمَا
famaa
then not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِنۡ
min
any
هَادٖ
haad.
guide

وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And indeed
جَآءَكُمۡ
jaaaʹakum
came to you
يُوسُفُ
Yoosufu
Yusuf
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-Bayyinaati
with clear proofs
فَمَا
famaa
but not
زِلۡتُمۡ
ziltum
you ceased
فِي
fee
in
شَكّٖ
shakkim
doubt
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
about what
جَآءَكُم
jaaaʹakum̃
he brought to you
بِهِۦۖ
bih:
[with it]
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattaaa
until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
هَلَكَ
halaka
he died
قُلۡتُمۡ
q̣ultum
you said
لَن
lañy
Never
يَبۡعَثَ
yab-ʻas̤al
will Allah raise
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
will Allah raise
مِنۢ
mim
after him
بَعۡدِهِۦ
baʻdihee
after him
رَسُولٗاۚ
rasoolaa.
a Messenger
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُضِلُّ
yuḍillul
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah lets go astray
مَنۡ
man
who
هُوَ
huwa
[he]
مُسۡرِفٞ
musrifum
(is) a transgressor
مُّرۡتَابٌ
murtaab,―
a doubter
٣٤
40:35
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujaadiloona
dispute
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sulṭaanin
any authority
أَتَىٰهُمۡۖ
ʹataahum.
(having) come to them
كَبُرَ
Kabura
(it) is greatly
مَقۡتًا
maq̣tan
hateful
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
near Allah
وَعِندَ
wa-ʻiñdal
and near
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those
ءَامَنُواْۚ
ʹaamanoo.
who believe
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يَطۡبَعُ
yaṭbaʻul
Allah sets a seal
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah sets a seal
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
كُلِّ
kulli
every
قَلۡبِ
q̣albi
heart
مُتَكَبِّرٖ
mutakabbiriñ
(of) an arrogant
جَبَّارٖ
jabbaar.
tyrant
٣٥
40:36
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aala
And said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
Firʻawnu
Firaun
يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
yaa-Haamaanub
O Haman
ٱبۡنِ
ni
Construct
لِي
lee
for me
صَرۡحٗا
ṣarḥal
a tower
لَّعَلِّيٓ
laʻalleee
that I may
أَبۡلُغُ
ʹablug̣ul
reach
ٱلۡأَسۡبَٰبَ
ʹasbaab―
the ways
٣٦
40:37
أَسۡبَٰبَ
ʹAsbaabas
(The) ways
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(to) the heavens
فَأَطَّلِعَ
faʹaṭṭaliʻa
so I may look
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
at
إِلَٰهِ
ʹilaahi
(the) God
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
(of) Musa
وَإِنِّي
wa-ʹinnee
and indeed I
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
laʹaz̤̣unnuhoo
[I] surely think him
كَٰذِبٗاۚ
kaaẓibaa!
(to be) a liar
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
Wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
زُيِّنَ
zuyyina
was made fair-seeming
لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ
li-Firʻawna
to Firaun
سُوٓءُ
soooʹu
(the) evil
عَمَلِهِۦ
ʻamalihee
(of) his deed
وَصُدَّ
waṣudda
and he was averted
عَنِ
ʻanis
from
ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ
Sabeel:
the way
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
كَيۡدُ
kaydu
(was the) plot
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
(of) Firaun
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
فِي
fee
in
تَبَابٖ
tabaab.
ruin
٣٧
40:38
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
And said
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
the one who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-Q̣awmit
O my people
ٱتَّبِعُونِ
tabiʻooni
Follow me
أَهۡدِكُمۡ
ʹahdikum
I will guide you
سَبِيلَ
Sabeelar
(to the) way
ٱلرَّشَادِ
Rashaad.
the right
٣٨
40:39
يَٰقَوۡمِ
Yaa-Q̣awmi
O my people
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamaa
Only
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihil
this
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ
ḥayaatud
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
مَتَٰعٞ
mataaʻ;
(is) enjoyment
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinnal
and indeed
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
ʹAakhirata
the Hereafter
هِيَ
hiya
it
دَارُ
Daarul
(is the) home
ٱلۡقَرَارِ
Q̣araar.
(of) settlement
٣٩
40:40
مَنۡ
Man
Whoever
عَمِلَ
ʻamila
does
سَيِّئَةٗ
sayyiʹatañ
an evil
فَلَا
falaa
then not
يُجۡزَىٰٓ
yujzaaa
he will be recompensed
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
مِثۡلَهَاۖ
mis̤lahaa:
(the) like thereof
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and whoever
عَمِلَ
ʻamila
does
صَٰلِحٗا
ṣaaliḥam
righteous (deeds)
مِّن
miñ
of
ذَكَرٍ
ẓakarin
male
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أُنثَىٰ
ʹuñs̤aa
female
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
while he
مُؤۡمِنٞ
Muʹminuñ
(is) a believer
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
يَدۡخُلُونَ
yadkhuloonal
will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
Jannata
Paradise
يُرۡزَقُونَ
yurzaq̣oona
they will be given provision
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
حِسَابٖ
ḥisaab.
account

۞وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wayaa-Q̣awmi
And O my people
مَا
maa-
What (is)
لِيٓ
leee
for me
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ʹadʻookum
(that) I call you
إِلَى
ʹilan
to
ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ
Najaati
the salvation
وَتَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
wa-tadʻoonaneee
while you call me
إِلَى
ʹilan
to
ٱلنَّارِ
Naar!
the Fire
٤١
40:42
تَدۡعُونَنِي
Tadʻoonanee
You call me
لِأَكۡفُرَ
liʹakfura
that I disbelieve
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَأُشۡرِكَ
wa-ʹushrika
and (to) associate
بِهِۦ
bihee
with Him
مَا
maa-
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لِي
lee
for me
بِهِۦ
bihee
of it
عِلۡمٞ
ʻilm:
any knowledge
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ʹana
and I
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ʹadʻookum
call you
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
ʻAzeezil
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡغَفَّٰرِ
G̣affaar.
the Oft-Forgiving
٤٢
40:43
لَا
Laa-
No
جَرَمَ
jarama
doubt
أَنَّمَا
ʹannamaa
that what
تَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
tadʻoonaneee
you call me
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to it
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for it
دَعۡوَةٞ
daʻwatuñ
a claim
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹanna
and that
مَرَدَّنَآ
maraddanaaa
our return
إِلَى
ʹilal
(is) to
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
and that
ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
musrifeena
the transgressors
هُمۡ
hum
they
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ʹAṣḥaabun
(will be the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
Naar!
(of) the Fire
٤٣
40:44
فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ
Fasataẓkuroona
And you will remember
مَآ
maaa
what
أَقُولُ
ʹaq̣oolu
I say
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum.
to you
وَأُفَوِّضُ
Wa-ʹufawwiḍu
and I entrust
أَمۡرِيٓ
ʹamreee
my affair
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah:
Allah
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
بَصِيرُۢ
Baṣeerum
(is) All-Seer
بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
bilʻibaad.
of (His) slaves
٤٤
40:45
فَوَقَىٰهُ
Fawaq̣aahul
So Allah protected him
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
So Allah protected him
سَيِّـَٔاتِ
sayyiʹaati
(from the) evils
مَا
maa-
that
مَكَرُواْۖ
makaroo
they plotted
وَحَاقَ
waḥaaq̣a
and enveloped
بِـَٔالِ
biʹAali
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
(of) Firaun
سُوٓءُ
soooʹul
(the) worst
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻAẓaab.
punishment
٤٥
40:46
ٱلنَّارُ
ʹAn-Naaru
The Fire
يُعۡرَضُونَ
yuʻraḍoona
they are exposed
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
to it
غُدُوّٗا
g̣uduwwañw
morning
وَعَشِيّٗاۚ
waʻashiyyaa:
and evening
وَيَوۡمَ
wa-Yawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taq̣oomus
(will be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
Saaʻah:
the Hour
أَدۡخِلُوٓاْ
ʹadkhilooo
Cause to enter
ءَالَ
ʹAala
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
(of) Firaun
أَشَدَّ
ʹashaddal
(in the) severest
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻaẓaab!
punishment
٤٦
40:47
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
يَتَحَآجُّونَ
yataḥaaajjoona
they will dispute
فِي
fin
in
ٱلنَّارِ
Naari
the Fire
فَيَقُولُ
fayaq̣ooluḍ
then will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ
ḍuʻafaaaʹu
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeenas
to those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
takbarooo
were arrogant
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
كُنَّا
kunnaa
[we] were
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تَبَعٗا
tabaʻañ
followers
فَهَلۡ
fahal
so can
أَنتُم
ʹañtum
you
مُّغۡنُونَ
mug̣noona
avert
عَنَّا
ʻannaa
from us
نَصِيبٗا
naṣeebam
a portion
مِّنَ
minan
of
ٱلنَّارِ
Naar?
the Fire
٤٧
40:48
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
takbarooo
(were) arrogant
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
كُلّٞ
kulluñ
all
فِيهَآ
feehaaa
(are) in it
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
قَدۡ
q̣ad
certainly
حَكَمَ
ḥakama
has judged
بَيۡنَ
baynal
between
ٱلۡعِبَادِ
ʻibaad!
(His) slaves
٤٨
40:49
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
And will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those
فِي
fin
in
ٱلنَّارِ
Naari
the Fire
لِخَزَنَةِ
likhazanati
to (the) keepers
جَهَنَّمَ
Jahannamad
(of) Hell
ٱدۡعُواْ
ʻoo
Call
رَبَّكُمۡ
Rabbakum
your Lord
يُخَفِّفۡ
yukhaffif
(to) lighten
عَنَّا
ʻannaa
for us
يَوۡمٗا
yawmam
a day
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻaẓaab!
the punishment
٤٩

قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They (will) say
أَوَلَمۡ
ʹawalam
Did there not
تَكُ
taku
Did there not
تَأۡتِيكُمۡ
taʹteekum
come to you
رُسُلُكُم
rusulukum̃
your Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ
bil-Bayyinaat?
with clear proofs
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They (will) say
بَلَىٰۚ
balaa.
Yes
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They (will) say
فَٱدۡعُواْۗ
fadʻoo!
Then call
وَمَا
Wa-maa
but not
دُعَٰٓؤُاْ
duʻaaaʹul
(is the) call
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
(of) the disbelievers
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٍ
ḍalaal!
