10:1الٓرۚalif-lam-raAlif Lam Raتِلۡكَtil'kaTheseءَايَٰتُayatu(are the) versesٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabi(of) the Bookٱلۡحَكِيمِal-hakimithe wise١
10:2أَكَانَakanaIs itلِلنَّاسِlilnnasifor the mankindعَجَبًاajabana wonderأَنۡanthatأَوۡحَيۡنَآawhaynaWe revealedإِلَىٰilatoرَجُلٖrajulina manمِّنۡهُمۡmin'humfrom (among) themأَنۡanthatأَنذِرِandhiriWarnٱلنَّاسَal-nasathe mankindوَبَشِّرِwabashiriand give glad tidingsٱلَّذِينَalladhina(to) those whoءَامَنُوٓاْamanubelieveأَنَّannathatلَهُمۡlahumfor themقَدَمَqadama(will be) a respectable positionصِدۡقٍsid'qin(will be) a respectable positionعِندَindanearرَبِّهِمۡۗrabbihimtheir LordقَالَqalaSaidٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَal-kafirunathe disbelieversإِنَّinnaIndeedهَٰذَاhadhathisلَسَٰحِرٞlasahirun(is) surely a magicianمُّبِينٌmubinunobvious٢
10:3إِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكُمُrabbakumuyour Lordٱللَّهُal-lahu(is) Allahٱلَّذِيalladhithe One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaand the earthفِيfiinسِتَّةِsittatisixأَيَّامٖayyaminperiodsثُمَّthummathenٱسۡتَوَىٰis'tawaHe establishedعَلَىalaonٱلۡعَرۡشِۖal-'arshithe Throneيُدَبِّرُyudabbirudisposingٱلۡأَمۡرَۖal-amrathe affairsمَاmaNotمِنmin(is) any intercessorشَفِيعٍshafi'in(is) any intercessorإِلَّاillaexceptمِنۢminafterبَعۡدِba'diafterإِذۡنِهِۦۚidh'nihiHis permissionذَٰلِكُمُdhalikumuThatٱللَّهُal-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمۡrabbukumyour Lordفَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚfa-u'buduhuso worship HimأَفَلَاafalaThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarunayou remember٣
10:4إِلَيۡهِilayhiTo Himمَرۡجِعُكُمۡmarji'ukum(will be) your returnجَمِيعٗاۖjami'an[all]وَعۡدَwa'daPromiseٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahحَقًّاۚhaqqan(is) trueإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heيَبۡدَؤُاْyabda-uoriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَal-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُۥyu'iduhuHe repeats itلِيَجۡزِيَliyajziyathat He may rewardٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelievedوَعَمِلُواْwa'amiluand didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِal-salihatithe good deedsبِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚbil-qis'tiin justiceوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelievedلَهُمۡlahumfor themشَرَابٞsharabun(will be) a drinkمِّنۡminofحَمِيمٖhamiminboiling fluidsوَعَذَابٌwa'adhabunand a punishmentأَلِيمُۢalimunpainfulبِمَاbimabecauseكَانُواْkanuthey used (to)يَكۡفُرُونَyakfurunadisbelieve٤
10:5هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) the One Whoجَعَلَja'alamadeٱلشَّمۡسَal-shamsathe sunضِيَآءٗdiyaana shining lightوَٱلۡقَمَرَwal-qamaraand the moonنُورٗاnurana reflected lightوَقَدَّرَهُۥwaqaddarahuand determined for itمَنَازِلَmanazilaphasesلِتَعۡلَمُواْlita'lamuthat you may knowعَدَدَadada(the) numberٱلسِّنِينَal-sinina(of) the yearsوَٱلۡحِسَابَۚwal-hisabaand the count (of time)مَاmaNotخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahذَٰلِكَdhalikathatإِلَّاillaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّۚbil-haqiin truthيُفَصِّلُyufassiluHe explainsٱلۡأٓيَٰتِal-ayatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖliqawminfor a peopleيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamuna(who) know٥
10:6إِنَّinnaIndeedفِيfiinٱخۡتِلَٰفِikh'tilafi(the) alternationٱلَّيۡلِal-layli(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِwal-nahariand the dayوَمَاwamaand whatخَلَقَkhalaqa(has been) createdٱللَّهُal-lahu(by) Allahفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthلَأٓيَٰتٖlaayatin(are) Signsلِّقَوۡمٖliqawminfor a peopleيَتَّقُونَyattaqunawho are God conscious٦
10:7إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاla(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjunaexpectلِقَآءَنَاliqaanathe meeting with Usوَرَضُواْwaraduand are pleasedبِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِbil-hayatiwith the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the worldوَٱطۡمَأَنُّواْwa-it'ma-annuand feel satisfiedبِهَاbihawith itوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaand those هُمۡhumtheyعَنۡan(are) ofءَايَٰتِنَاayatinaOur Signsغَٰفِلُونَghafilunaheedless٧
10:8أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThose مَأۡوَىٰهُمُmawahumutheir abodeٱلنَّارُal-naru(will be) the Fireبِمَاbimafor whatكَانُواْkanuthey used (to)يَكۡسِبُونَyaksibunaearn٨
10:9إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelievedوَعَمِلُواْwa'amiluand didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِal-salihatigood deedsيَهۡدِيهِمۡyahdihim(will) guide themرَبُّهُمrabbuhumtheir Lordبِإِيمَٰنِهِمۡۖbiimanihimby their faithتَجۡرِيtajriWill flowمِنminfromتَحۡتِهِمُtahtihimuunderneath themٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُal-anharuthe riversفِيfiinجَنَّٰتِjannatiGardensٱلنَّعِيمِal-na'imi(of) Delight٩
10:10دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡda'wahumTheir prayerفِيهَاfihathereinسُبۡحَٰنَكَsub'hanaka(will be) Glory be to Youٱللَّهُمَّal-lahumaO AllahوَتَحِيَّتُهُمۡwatahiyyatuhumAnd their greetingفِيهَاfihatherein (will be)سَلَٰمٞۚsalamunPeaceوَءَاخِرُwaakhiruAnd the lastدَعۡوَىٰهُمۡda'wahum(of) their callأَنِani(will be) [that]ٱلۡحَمۡدُal-hamduAll the Praise beلِلَّهِlillahito AllahرَبِّrabbiLordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alamina(of) the worlds١٠
10:11۞وَلَوۡwalawAnd ifيُعَجِّلُyu'ajjiluhastensٱللَّهُal-lahu(by) Allahلِلنَّاسِlilnnasifor the mankindٱلشَّرَّal-sharathe evilٱسۡتِعۡجَالَهُمis'ti'jalahum(as) He hastens for themبِٱلۡخَيۡرِbil-khayrithe goodلَقُضِيَlaqudiyasurely would have been decreedإِلَيۡهِمۡilayhimfor themأَجَلُهُمۡۖajaluhumtheir termفَنَذَرُfanadharuBut We leaveٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاla(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjunaexpectلِقَآءَنَاliqaanathe meeting with Usفِيfiinطُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡtugh'yanihimtheir transgressionيَعۡمَهُونَya'mahunawandering blindly١١
10:12وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenمَسَّmassatouchesٱلۡإِنسَٰنَal-insanathe manٱلضُّرُّal-duruthe afflictionدَعَانَاda'anahe calls Usلِجَنۢبِهِۦٓlijanbihi(lying) on his sideأَوۡaworقَاعِدًاqa'idansittingأَوۡaworقَآئِمٗاqaimanstandingفَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenكَشَفۡنَاkashafnaWe removeعَنۡهُanhufrom himضُرَّهُۥdurrahuhis afflictionمَرَّmarrahe passes onكَأَنka-anas if heلَّمۡlam(had) notيَدۡعُنَآyad'unacalled Usإِلَىٰilaforضُرّٖdurrin(the) afflictionمَّسَّهُۥۚmassahu(that) touched himكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusزُيِّنَzuyyina(it) is made fair seemingلِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَlil'mus'rifinato the extravagantمَاmawhatكَانُواْkanuthey used (to)يَعۡمَلُونَya'malunado١٢
10:13وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd verilyأَهۡلَكۡنَاahlaknaWe destroyedٱلۡقُرُونَal-qurunathe generationsمِنminbefore youقَبۡلِكُمۡqablikumbefore youلَمَّاlammawhenظَلَمُواْzalamuthey wrongedوَجَآءَتۡهُمۡwajaathumand came to themرُسُلُهُمrusuluhumtheir Messengersبِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِbil-bayinatiwith clear proofsوَمَاwamabut notكَانُواْkanuthey wereلِيُؤۡمِنُواْۚliyu'minuto believeكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusنَجۡزِيnajziWe recompenseٱلۡقَوۡمَal-qawmathe peopleٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَal-muj'rimina(who are) criminals١٣
10:14ثُمَّthummaThenجَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡja'alnakumWe made youخَلَٰٓئِفَkhalaifasuccessorsفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthمِنۢminafter themبَعۡدِهِمۡba'dihimafter themلِنَنظُرَlinanzuraso that We may seeكَيۡفَkayfahowتَعۡمَلُونَta'malunayou do١٤
10:15وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰtut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimto themءَايَاتُنَاayatunaOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٖbayyinatin(as) clear proofsقَالَqalasaidٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاla(do) notيَرۡجُونَyarjunahopeلِقَآءَنَاliqaana(for the) meeting (with) Usٱئۡتِi'tiBring usبِقُرۡءَانٍbiqur'anina Quranغَيۡرِghayriother (than)هَٰذَآhadhathisأَوۡaworبَدِّلۡهُۚbaddil'huchange itقُلۡqulSayمَاmaNotيَكُونُyakunu(it) isلِيٓlifor meأَنۡanthatأُبَدِّلَهُۥubaddilahuI change itمِنminofتِلۡقَآيِٕtil'qaimy own accordنَفۡسِيٓۖnafsimy own accordإِنۡinNotأَتَّبِعُattabi'uI followإِلَّاillaexceptمَاmawhatيُوحَىٰٓyuhais revealedإِلَيَّۖilayyato meإِنِّيٓinniIndeed Iأَخَافُakhafu[I] fearإِنۡinifعَصَيۡتُasaytuI were to disobeyرَبِّيrabbimy Lordعَذَابَadhaba(the) punishmentيَوۡمٍyawmin(of) a DayعَظِيمٖaziminGreat١٥
10:16قُلqulSayلَّوۡlawIfشَآءَshaa(had) willedٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahمَاmanotتَلَوۡتُهُۥtalawtuhuI (would) have recited itعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumto youوَلَآwalaand notأَدۡرَىٰكُمadrakumHe (would) have made it known to youبِهِۦۖbihiHe (would) have made it known to youفَقَدۡfaqadVerilyلَبِثۡتُlabith'tuI have stayedفِيكُمۡfikumamong youعُمُرٗاumurana lifetimeمِّنminbefore itقَبۡلِهِۦٓۚqablihibefore itأَفَلَاafalaThen will notتَعۡقِلُونَta'qilunayou use reason١٦
10:17فَمَنۡfamanSo whoأَظۡلَمُazlamu(is) more wrongمِمَّنِmimmanithan he whoٱفۡتَرَىٰif'tarainventsعَلَىalaagainstٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahكَذِبًاkadhibana lieأَوۡaworكَذَّبَkadhabadeniesبِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚbiayatihiHis SignsإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeedلَاlanotيُفۡلِحُyuf'lihuwill succeedٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَal-muj'rimunathe criminals١٧
10:18وَيَعۡبُدُونَwaya'budunaAnd they worshipمِنminfromدُونِduniother thanٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَاmathat (which)لَاla(does) notيَضُرُّهُمۡyadurruhumharm themوَلَاwalaand notيَنفَعُهُمۡyanfa'uhumbenefit themوَيَقُولُونَwayaqulunaand they sayهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaulaiTheseشُفَعَٰٓؤُنَاshufa'auna(are) our intercessorsعِندَindawithٱللَّهِۚal-lahiAllahقُلۡqulSayأَتُنَبِّـُٔونَatunabbiunaDo you informٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahبِمَاbimaof whatلَاlanotيَعۡلَمُya'lamuhe knowsفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَلَاwalaand notفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِۚal-ardithe earthسُبۡحَٰنَهُۥsub'hanahuGlorified is Heوَتَعَٰلَىٰwata'alaand Exaltedعَمَّاammaabove whatيُشۡرِكُونَyush'rikunathey associate (with Him)١٨
10:19وَمَاwamaAnd notكَانَkanawasٱلنَّاسُal-nasuthe mankindإِلَّآillabutأُمَّةٗummatana communityوَٰحِدَةٗwahidatanoneفَٱخۡتَلَفُواْۚfa-ikh'talafuthen they differedوَلَوۡلَاwalawlaAnd had (it) not beenكَلِمَةٞkalimatuna wordسَبَقَتۡsabaqat(that) precededمِنminfromرَّبِّكَrabbikayour Lordلَقُضِيَlaqudiyasurely it (would) have been judgedبَيۡنَهُمۡbaynahumbetween themفِيمَاfimaconcerning whatفِيهِfihi[therein]يَخۡتَلِفُونَyakhtalifunathey differ١٩
10:20وَيَقُولُونَwayaqulunaAnd they sayلَوۡلَآlawlaWhy notأُنزِلَunzilais sent downعَلَيۡهِalayhito himءَايَةٞayatuna Signمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِۦۖrabbihihis LordفَقُلۡfaqulSo sayإِنَّمَاinnamaOnlyٱلۡغَيۡبُal-ghaybuthe unseenلِلَّهِlillahi(is) for Allahفَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْfa-intaziruso waitإِنِّيinniindeed I amمَعَكُمma'akumwith youمِّنَminaamongٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَal-muntazirinathe ones who wait٢٠
10:21وَإِذَآwa-idhaAnd whenأَذَقۡنَاadhaqnaWe let [the] mankind tasteٱلنَّاسَal-nasaWe let [the] mankind tasteرَحۡمَةٗrahmatanmercyمِّنۢminafterبَعۡدِba'diafterضَرَّآءَdarraaadversityمَسَّتۡهُمۡmassathumhas touched themإِذَاidhabeholdلَهُمlahumThey haveمَّكۡرٞmakruna plotفِيٓfiagainstءَايَاتِنَاۚayatinaOur VersesقُلِquliSayٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahأَسۡرَعُasra'u(is) more swiftمَكۡرًاۚmakran(in) planningإِنَّinnaIndeedرُسُلَنَاrusulanaOur Messengersيَكۡتُبُونَyaktubunawrite downمَاmawhatتَمۡكُرُونَtamkurunayou plot٢١
10:22هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) the One Whoيُسَيِّرُكُمۡyusayyirukumenables you to travelفِيfiinٱلۡبَرِّal-barithe landوَٱلۡبَحۡرِۖwal-bahriand the seaحَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَاidhawhenكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areفِيfiinٱلۡفُلۡكِal-ful'kithe shipsوَجَرَيۡنَwajaraynaand they sailبِهِمbihimwith themبِرِيحٖbirihinwith a windطَيِّبَةٖtayyibatingoodوَفَرِحُواْwafarihuand they rejoiceبِهَاbihathereinجَآءَتۡهَاjaathacomes to itرِيحٌrihuna windعَاصِفٞasifunstormyوَجَآءَهُمُwajaahumuand comes to themٱلۡمَوۡجُal-mawjuthe wavesمِنminfromكُلِّkullieveryمَكَانٖmakaninplaceوَظَنُّوٓاْwazannuand they assumeأَنَّهُمۡannahumthat theyأُحِيطَuhitaare surroundedبِهِمۡbihimwith themدَعَوُاْda'awuThey callٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahمُخۡلِصِينَmukh'lisinasincerelyلَهُlahuto Himٱلدِّينَal-dina(in) the religionلَئِنۡla-in(saying) IfأَنجَيۡتَنَاanjaytanaYou save usمِنۡminfromهَٰذِهِۦhadhihithisلَنَكُونَنَّlanakunannasurely we will beمِنَminaamongٱلشَّٰكِرِينَal-shakirinathe thankful٢٢
10:23فَلَمَّآfalammaBut whenأَنجَىٰهُمۡanjahumHe saved themإِذَاidhabeholdهُمۡhumTheyيَبۡغُونَyabghunarebelفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthبِغَيۡرِbighayriwithoutٱلۡحَقِّۗal-haqi[the] rightيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaO mankindٱلنَّاسُal-nasuO mankindإِنَّمَاinnamaOnlyبَغۡيُكُمۡbaghyukumyour rebellionعَلَىٰٓala(is) againstأَنفُسِكُمۖanfusikumyourselvesمَّتَٰعَmata'a(the) enjoymentٱلۡحَيَوٰةِal-hayati(of) the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاۖal-dun'ya(of) the worldثُمَّthummaThenإِلَيۡنَاilaynato Usمَرۡجِعُكُمۡmarji'ukum(is) your returnفَنُنَبِّئُكُمfanunabbi-ukumand We will inform youبِمَاbimaof whatكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used (to)تَعۡمَلُونَta'malunado٢٣
10:24إِنَّمَاinnamaOnlyمَثَلُmathalu(the) exampleٱلۡحَيَوٰةِal-hayati(of) the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the worldكَمَآءٍkamain(is) like (the) waterأَنزَلۡنَٰهُanzalnahuwhich We sent downمِنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِal-samaithe skyفَٱخۡتَلَطَfa-ikh'talataso absorbsبِهِۦbihi[with] itنَبَاتُnabatu(the) plantsٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardi(of) the earthمِمَّاmimmafrom whichيَأۡكُلُyakulueatٱلنَّاسُal-nasuthe menوَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُwal-an'amuand the cattleحَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَآidhawhenأَخَذَتِakhadhatitakesٱلۡأَرۡضُal-arduthe earthزُخۡرُفَهَاzukh'rufahaits adornmentوَٱزَّيَّنَتۡwa-izzayyanatand is beautifiedوَظَنَّwazannaand thinkأَهۡلُهَآahluhaits peopleأَنَّهُمۡannahumthat theyقَٰدِرُونَqadirunahave the powerعَلَيۡهَآalayhaover itأَتَىٰهَآatahacomes (to) itأَمۡرُنَاamrunaOur commandلَيۡلًاlaylan(by) nightأَوۡaworنَهَارٗاnaharan(by) dayفَجَعَلۡنَٰهَاfaja'alnahaand We make itحَصِيدٗاhasidana harvest clean-mownكَأَنka-anas ifلَّمۡlamnotتَغۡنَtaghnait had flourishedبِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚbil-amsiyesterdayكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusنُفَصِّلُnufassiluWe explainٱلۡأٓيَٰتِal-ayatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖliqawminfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَyatafakkarunawho reflect٢٤
10:25وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahيَدۡعُوٓاْyad'ucallsإِلَىٰilatoدَارِdari(the) Homeٱلسَّلَٰمِal-salami(of) the Peaceوَيَهۡدِيwayahdiand guidesمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُyashauHe willsإِلَىٰilatoصِرَٰطٖsiratin(the) straight pathمُّسۡتَقِيمٖmus'taqimin(the) straight path٢٥
10:26۞لِّلَّذِينَlilladhinaFor those whoأَحۡسَنُواْahsanudo goodٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰal-hus'na(is) the bestوَزِيَادَةٞۖwaziyadatunand moreوَلَاwalaAnd notيَرۡهَقُyarhaqu(will) coverوُجُوهَهُمۡwujuhahumtheir facesقَتَرٞqatarundustوَلَاwalaand notذِلَّةٌۚdhillatunhumiliationأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِۖal-janati(of) Paradiseهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfihain itخَٰلِدُونَkhaliduna(will) abide forever٢٦
10:27وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoكَسَبُواْkasabuearnedٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِal-sayiatithe evil deedsجَزَآءُjazau(the) recompenseسَيِّئَةِۭsayyi-atin(of) an evil deedبِمِثۡلِهَاbimith'liha(is) like itوَتَرۡهَقُهُمۡwatarhaquhumand (will) cover themذِلَّةٞۖdhillatunhumiliationمَّاmaThey will not haveلَهُمlahumThey will not haveمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمِنۡminanyعَاصِمٖۖasimindefenderكَأَنَّمَآka-annamaAs ifأُغۡشِيَتۡugh'shiyathad been coveredوُجُوهُهُمۡwujuhuhumtheir facesقِطَعٗاqita'an(with) piecesمِّنَminafromٱلَّيۡلِal-laylithe darkness (of) nightمُظۡلِمًاۚmuz'limanthe darkness (of) nightأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلنَّارِۖal-nari(of) the Fireهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfihain itخَٰلِدُونَkhaliduna(will) abide forever٢٧
10:28وَيَوۡمَwayawmaAnd (the) DayنَحۡشُرُهُمۡnahshuruhumWe will gather themجَمِيعٗاjami'anall togetherثُمَّthummathenنَقُولُnaquluWe will sayلِلَّذِينَlilladhinato those whoأَشۡرَكُواْashrakuassociate partners (with Allah)مَكَانَكُمۡmakanakum(Remain in) your placeأَنتُمۡantumyouوَشُرَكَآؤُكُمۡۚwashurakaukumand your partnersفَزَيَّلۡنَاfazayyalnaThen We will separateبَيۡنَهُمۡۖbaynahum[between] themوَقَالَwaqalaand (will) sayشُرَكَآؤُهُمshurakauhumtheir partnersمَّاmaNotكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used (to)إِيَّانَاiyyanaworship usتَعۡبُدُونَta'budunaworship us٢٨
10:29فَكَفَىٰfakafaSo sufficientبِٱللَّهِbil-lahi(is) Allahشَهِيدَۢاshahidan(as) a witnessبَيۡنَنَاbaynanabetween usوَبَيۡنَكُمۡwabaynakumand between youإِنinthatكُنَّاkunnawe wereعَنۡanofعِبَادَتِكُمۡibadatikumyour worshipلَغَٰفِلِينَlaghafilinacertainly unaware٢٩
10:30هُنَالِكَhunalikaThereتَبۡلُواْtabluwill be put to trialكُلُّkullueveryنَفۡسٖnafsinsoulمَّآma(for) whatأَسۡلَفَتۡۚaslafatit did previouslyوَرُدُّوٓاْwarudduand they will be returnedإِلَىilatoٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَوۡلَىٰهُمُmawlahumutheir Lordٱلۡحَقِّۖal-haqithe trueوَضَلَّwadallaand will be lostعَنۡهُمanhumfrom themمَّاmawhatكَانُواْkanuthey used (to)يَفۡتَرُونَyaftarunainvent٣٠
10:31قُلۡqulSayمَنmanWhoيَرۡزُقُكُمyarzuqukumprovides for youمِّنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِal-samaithe skyوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthأَمَّنammanOr whoيَمۡلِكُyamlikucontrolsٱلسَّمۡعَal-sam'athe hearingوَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَwal-absaraand the sightوَمَنwamanAnd whoيُخۡرِجُyukh'rijubrings outٱلۡحَيَّal-hayathe livingمِنَminafromٱلۡمَيِّتِal-mayitithe deadوَيُخۡرِجُwayukh'rijuand brings forthٱلۡمَيِّتَal-mayitathe deadمِنَminafromٱلۡحَيِّal-hayithe livingوَمَنwamanAnd whoيُدَبِّرُyudabbirudisposesٱلۡأَمۡرَۚal-amrathe affairsفَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqulunaThen they will sayٱللَّهُۚal-lahuAllahفَقُلۡfaqulThen sayأَفَلَاafalaThen will notتَتَّقُونَtattaqunayou fear (Him)٣١
10:32فَذَٰلِكُمُfadhalikumuFor thatٱللَّهُal-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمُrabbukumuyour Lordٱلۡحَقُّۖal-haquthe trueفَمَاذَاfamadhaSo what (can be)بَعۡدَba'daafterٱلۡحَقِّal-haqithe truthإِلَّاillaexceptٱلضَّلَٰلُۖal-dalaluthe errorفَأَنَّىٰfa-annaSo howتُصۡرَفُونَtus'rafuna(are) you turned away٣٢
10:33كَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusحَقَّتۡhaqqat(is) proved trueكَلِمَتُkalimatu(the) Wordرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordعَلَىalauponٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoفَسَقُوٓاْfasaqudefiantly disobeyedأَنَّهُمۡannahumthat theyلَاla(will) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyu'minunabelieve٣٣
10:34قُلۡqulSayهَلۡhalIs (there)مِنminofشُرَكَآئِكُمshurakaikumyour partnersمَّنman(any) whoيَبۡدَؤُاْyabda-uoriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَal-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُۥۚyu'iduhurepeats itقُلِquliSayٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahيَبۡدَؤُاْyabda-uoriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَal-khalqathe creationثُمَّthummathenيُعِيدُهُۥۖyu'iduhurepeats itفَأَنَّىٰfa-annaSo howتُؤۡفَكُونَtu'fakunayou are deluded٣٤
10:35قُلۡqulSayهَلۡhalIs (there)مِنminofشُرَكَآئِكُمshurakaikumyour partnersمَّنman(any) whoيَهۡدِيٓyahdiguidesإِلَىilatoٱلۡحَقِّۚal-haqithe truthقُلِquliSayٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahيَهۡدِيyahdiguidesلِلۡحَقِّۗlil'haqqito the truthأَفَمَنafamanIs then (he) whoيَهۡدِيٓyahdiguidesإِلَىilatoٱلۡحَقِّal-haqithe truthأَحَقُّahaqqumore worthyأَنanthatيُتَّبَعَyuttaba'ahe should be followedأَمَّنammanor (he) whoلَّاla(does) notيَهِدِّيٓyahiddiguideإِلَّآillaunlessأَنan[that]يُهۡدَىٰۖyuh'dahe is guidedفَمَاfamaThen whatلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youكَيۡفَkayfahowتَحۡكُمُونَtahkumunayou judge٣٥
10:36وَمَاwamaAnd notيَتَّبِعُyattabi'ufollowأَكۡثَرُهُمۡaktharuhummost of themإِلَّاillaexceptظَنًّاۚzannanassumptionإِنَّinnaIndeedٱلظَّنَّal-zanathe assumptionلَاla(does) notيُغۡنِيyugh'niavailمِنَminaagainstٱلۡحَقِّal-haqithe truthشَيۡـًٔاۚshayananythingإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahعَلِيمُۢalimun(is) All-Knowerبِمَاbimaof whatيَفۡعَلُونَyaf 'alunathey do٣٦
10:37وَمَاwamaAnd notكَانَkanaisهَٰذَاhadhathisٱلۡقُرۡءَانُal-qur'anuthe Quranأَنanthatيُفۡتَرَىٰyuf'tara(it could be) producedمِنminbyدُونِduniother than Allahٱللَّهِal-lahiother than Allahوَلَٰكِنwalakinbutتَصۡدِيقَtasdiqa(it is) a confirmationٱلَّذِيalladhi(of that) whichبَيۡنَbayna(was) before itيَدَيۡهِyadayhi(was) before itوَتَفۡصِيلَwatafsilaand a detailed explanationٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabi(of) the Bookلَاla(there is) noرَيۡبَraybadoubtفِيهِfihiin itمِنminfromرَّبِّrabbi(the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alamina(of) the worlds٣٧
10:38أَمۡamOrيَقُولُونَyaquluna(do) they sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖif'tarahuHe has invented itقُلۡqulSayفَأۡتُواْfatuThen bringبِسُورَةٖbisuratina Surahمِّثۡلِهِۦmith'lihilike itوَٱدۡعُواْwa-id'uand callمَنِmaniwhoeverٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمis'tata'tumyou canمِّنminbesides Allahدُونِdunibesides Allahٱللَّهِal-lahibesides Allahإِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٣٨
10:39بَلۡbalNayكَذَّبُواْkadhabuthey deniedبِمَاbimawhatلَمۡlamnotيُحِيطُواْyuhituthey could encompassبِعِلۡمِهِۦbi'il'mihi(of) its knowledgeوَلَمَّاwalammaand notيَأۡتِهِمۡyatihimhas come (to) themتَأۡوِيلُهُۥۚtawiluhuits interpretationكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusكَذَّبَkadhabadeniedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathoseمِنminbefore themقَبۡلِهِمۡۖqablihimbefore themفَٱنظُرۡfa-unzurthen seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkanawasعَٰقِبَةُaqibatu(the) endٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zalimina(of) the wrongdoers٣٩
10:40وَمِنۡهُمwamin'humAnd of themمَّنman(is one) whoيُؤۡمِنُyu'minubelievesبِهِۦbihiin itوَمِنۡهُمwamin'humand of themمَّنman(is one) whoلَّاla(does) notيُؤۡمِنُyu'minubelieveبِهِۦۚbihiin itوَرَبُّكَwarabbukaAnd your Lordأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) All-Knowerبِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَbil-muf'sidinaof the corrupters٤٠
10:41وَإِنwa-inAnd ifكَذَّبُوكَkadhabukathey deny youفَقُلfaqulthen sayلِّيliFor meعَمَلِيamali(are) my deedsوَلَكُمۡwalakumand for youعَمَلُكُمۡۖamalukum(are) your deedsأَنتُمantumYouبَرِيٓـُٔونَbariuna(are) disassociatedمِمَّآmimmafrom whatأَعۡمَلُa'maluI doوَأَنَا۠wa-anaand I amبَرِيٓءٞbariondisassociatedمِّمَّاmimmafrom whatتَعۡمَلُونَta'malunayou do٤١
10:42وَمِنۡهُمwamin'humAnd among themمَّنman(are some) whoيَسۡتَمِعُونَyastami'unalistenإِلَيۡكَۚilaykato youأَفَأَنتَafa-antaBut (can) youتُسۡمِعُtus'mi'ucause the deaf to hearٱلصُّمَّal-sumacause the deaf to hearوَلَوۡwalaweven thoughكَانُواْkanuthey [were]لَاla(do) notيَعۡقِلُونَya'qilunause reason٤٢
10:43وَمِنۡهُمwamin'humAnd among themمَّنman(are some) whoيَنظُرُyanzurulookإِلَيۡكَۚilaykaat youأَفَأَنتَafa-antaBut (can) youتَهۡدِيtahdiguideٱلۡعُمۡيَal-'um'yathe blindوَلَوۡwalaweven thoughكَانُواْkanuthey [were]لَاla(do) notيُبۡصِرُونَyub'sirunasee٤٣
10:44إِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَظۡلِمُyazlimuwrongٱلنَّاسَal-nasathe peopleشَيۡـٔٗاshayan(in) anythingوَلَٰكِنَّwalakinnabutٱلنَّاسَal-nasathe peopleأَنفُسَهُمۡanfusahumwrong themselvesيَظۡلِمُونَyazlimunawrong themselves٤٤
10:45وَيَوۡمَwayawmaAnd the DayيَحۡشُرُهُمۡyahshuruhumHe will gather themكَأَنka-anas ifلَّمۡlamthey had not remainedيَلۡبَثُوٓاْyalbathuthey had not remainedإِلَّاillaexceptسَاعَةٗsa'atanan hourمِّنَminaofٱلنَّهَارِal-naharithe dayيَتَعَارَفُونَyata'arafunathey will recognize each otherبَيۡنَهُمۡۚbaynahumbetween themقَدۡqadCertainlyخَسِرَkhasira(will have) lostٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَذَّبُواْkadhabudeniedبِلِقَآءِbiliqaithe meetingٱللَّهِal-lahi(with) Allahوَمَاwamaand notكَانُواْkanuthey wereمُهۡتَدِينَmuh'tadinathe guided ones٤٥
10:46وَإِمَّاwa-immaAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youبَعۡضَba'dasomeٱلَّذِيalladhi(of) that whichنَعِدُهُمۡna'iduhumWe promised themأَوۡaworنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَnatawaffayannakaWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيۡنَاfa-ilaynathen to Usمَرۡجِعُهُمۡmarji'uhum(is) their returnثُمَّthummathenٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahشَهِيدٌshahidun(is) a Witnessعَلَىٰalaoverمَاmawhatيَفۡعَلُونَyaf 'alunathey do٤٦
10:47وَلِكُلِّwalikulliAnd for everyأُمَّةٖummatinnationرَّسُولٞۖrasulun(is) a Messengerفَإِذَاfa-idhaSo whenجَآءَjaacomesرَسُولُهُمۡrasuluhumtheir Messengerقُضِيَqudiyait will be judgedبَيۡنَهُمbaynahumbetween themبِٱلۡقِسۡطِbil-qis'tiin justiceوَهُمۡwahumand theyلَاla(will) notيُظۡلَمُونَyuz'lamunabe wronged٤٧
10:48وَيَقُولُونَwayaqulunaAnd they sayمَتَىٰmataWhenهَٰذَاhadha(will) thisٱلۡوَعۡدُal-wa'duthe promise (be fulfilled)إِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٤٨
10:49قُلqulSayلَّآlaNotأَمۡلِكُamlikuI have powerلِنَفۡسِيlinafsifor myselfضَرّٗاdarran(for) any harmوَلَاwalaand notنَفۡعًاnaf 'an(for) any profitإِلَّاillaexceptمَاmawhatشَآءَshaaAllah willsٱللَّهُۗal-lahuAllah willsلِكُلِّlikulliFor everyأُمَّةٍummatinnationأَجَلٌۚajalun(is) a termإِذَاidhaWhenجَآءَjaacomesأَجَلُهُمۡajaluhumtheir termفَلَاfalathen notيَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَyastakhirunathey remain behindسَاعَةٗsa'atanan hourوَلَاwalaand notيَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَyastaqdimunathey can precede (it)٤٩
10:50قُلۡqulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡara-aytumDo you seeإِنۡinifأَتَىٰكُمۡatakumcomes to youعَذَابُهُۥadhabuhuHis punishmentبَيَٰتًاbayatan(by) nightأَوۡaworنَهَارٗاnaharan(by) dayمَّاذَاmadhawhat (portion)يَسۡتَعۡجِلُyasta'jiluof it would (wish to) hastenمِنۡهُmin'huof it would (wish to) hastenٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَal-muj'rimunathe criminals٥٠
