إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed it
لَقُرۡءَانٞ
laqur'anun
(is) surely a Quran
كَرِيمٞ
karimun
noble
٧٧
that this is truly a noble Quran

فِي
fi
In
كِتَٰبٖ
kitabin
a Book
مَّكۡنُونٖ
maknunin
well-guarded
٧٨
in a protected Record

56:79
لَّا
la
None
يَمَسُّهُۥٓ
yamassuhu
touch it
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ
al-mutaharuna
the purified
٧٩
that only the purified can touch

56:80
تَنزِيلٞ
tanzilun
A Revelation
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٨٠
sent down from the Lord of all being

56:81
أَفَبِهَٰذَا
afabihadha
Then is it to this
ٱلۡحَدِيثِ
al-hadithi
statement
أَنتُم
antum
that you
مُّدۡهِنُونَ
mud'hinuna
(are) indifferent
٨١
How can you scorn this statement
Translation 1260
56:82
وَتَجۡعَلُونَ
wataj'aluna
And you make
رِزۡقَكُمۡ
riz'qakum
your provision
أَنَّكُمۡ
annakum
that you
تُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibuna
deny
٨٢
And how, in return for the livelihood you are given, can you deny it

56:83
فَلَوۡلَآ
falawla
Then why not
إِذَا
idha
when
بَلَغَتِ
balaghati
it reaches
ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ
al-hul'quma
the throat
٨٣
When the soul of a dying man comes up to his throat

56:84
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
And you
حِينَئِذٖ
hina-idhin
(at) that time
تَنظُرُونَ
tanzuruna
look on
٨٤
while you gaze on
Translation 1260
56:85
وَنَحۡنُ
wanahnu
And We
أَقۡرَبُ
aqrabu
(are) nearer
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to him
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
than you
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
but
لَّا
la
you (do) not see
تُبۡصِرُونَ
tub'siruna
you (do) not see
٨٥
We are nearer to him than you, though you do not see Us

56:86
فَلَوۡلَآ
falawla
Then why not
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
غَيۡرَ
ghayra
not
مَدِينِينَ
madinina
to be recompensed
٨٦
why, if you are not to be judged

56:87
تَرۡجِعُونَهَآ
tarji'unaha
Bring it back
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
sadiqina
truthful
٨٧
do you not restore his soul to him, if what you say is true

56:88
فَأَمَّآ
fa-amma
Then
إِن
in
if
كَانَ
kana
he was
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
al-muqarabina
those brought near
٨٨
If that dying person is one of those who will be brought near to God

56:89
فَرَوۡحٞ
farawhun
Then rest
وَرَيۡحَانٞ
warayhanun
and bounty
وَجَنَّتُ
wajannatu
and a Garden
نَعِيمٖ
na'imin
(of) Pleasure
٨٩
he will have rest, ease, and a Garden of Bliss

56:90
وَأَمَّآ
wa-amma
And
إِن
in
if
كَانَ
kana
he was
مِنۡ
min
of
أَصۡحَٰبِ
ashabi
(the) companions
ٱلۡيَمِينِ
al-yamini
(of) the right
٩٠
if he is one of those on the Right

56:91
فَسَلَٰمٞ
fasalamun
Then peace
لَّكَ
laka
for you
مِنۡ
min
[from]
أَصۡحَٰبِ
ashabi
(the) companions
ٱلۡيَمِينِ
al-yamini
(of) the right
٩١
[he will hear], ‘Peace be on you,’ from his companions on the Right

56:92
وَأَمَّآ
wa-amma
But
إِن
in
if
كَانَ
kana
he was
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
al-mukadhibina
the deniers
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
al-dalina
the astray
٩٢
but if he is one of those who denied the truth and went astray

56:93
فَنُزُلٞ
fanuzulun
Then hospitality
مِّنۡ
min
of
حَمِيمٖ
hamimin
(the) scalding water
٩٣
he will be welcomed with scalding water

56:94
وَتَصۡلِيَةُ
watasliyatu
And burning
جَحِيمٍ
jahimin
(in) Hellfire
٩٤
He will burn in Hell
Translation 1260
56:95
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
لَهُوَ
lahuwa
surely it
حَقُّ
haqqu
(is the) truth
ٱلۡيَقِينِ
al-yaqini
certain
٩٥
This is the certain truth

56:96
فَسَبِّحۡ
fasabbih
So glorify
بِٱسۡمِ
bi-is'mi
(the) name
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
al-'azimi
the Most Great
٩٦
[Prophet], glorify the name of your Lord the Supreme

57:1
سَبَّحَ
sabbaha
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
[to] Allah
مَا
ma
whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
al-hakimu
the All-Wise
١
Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies God––He is the Almighty, the Wise

57:2
لَهُۥ
lahu
For Him
مُلۡكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
يُحۡيِۦ
yuh'yi
He gives life
وَيُمِيتُۖ
wayumitu
and causes death
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
عَلَىٰ
ala
(is) over
كُلِّ
kulli
all
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
things
قَدِيرٌ
qadirun
All-Powerful
٢
Control of the heavens and earth belongs to Him; He gives life and death; He has power over all things

57:3
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلۡأَوَّلُ
al-awalu
(is) the First
وَٱلۡأٓخِرُ
wal-akhiru
and the Last
وَٱلظَّٰهِرُ
wal-zahiru
and the Apparent
وَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ
wal-batinu
and the Unapparent
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
(is) of every
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
thing
عَلِيمٌ
alimun
All-Knower
٣
He is the First and the Last; the Outer and the Inner; He has knowledge of all things
