At the end of Witr prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say this dhikr three times. The third time, he made it longer:
سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُّدُّوْسِ
Transliteration
Subhaanal-Malikil-Quddoos
Translation
Glory is to the King, the Holy.
When you say subhanal malikil quddus after witr, your heart fills with Allah's greatness. The end of your night prayer becomes special. Peace, Barakah, and purity come to every muslim.
Say this dua: Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabaraka 'smuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa laa 'ilahaa ghayruk. It's also called dua iftitah. It's the best way to start tahajjud namaz.
Raise your hands. Say Allahu Akbar. Then quietly say Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika for dua iftitah. This is how the Prophet started tahajjud.
In your heart, make a quiet intention for tahajjud. Tell yourself: I'm praying tahajjud for Allah. I ask for forgiveness, blessings, and want to please Allah.
After Allahu Akbar, say Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika - also called sana for namaz. This opening dua helps you focus only on Allah during prayer.
At the start, say Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabaraka 'smuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa laa 'ilahaa ghayruk. Then quietly say A'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim before surah Fatiha in each rakah.
