When Noah (AS) got on the boat, he said this prayer:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسٰىهَآ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Transliteration
Bismillahi majraha wa mursaha inna rabbee laGhafoorur-Raheem
Translation
In the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.
Note
Important: Don't say this dua when getting on an animal or vehicle. But many people wrongly write this dua on cars and say it when starting trips.
Say this dua before your trip. Allah will forgive you and give you mercy. Your journey will be safe and blessed when you trust His names.
bismillahi majreha wa mursaha inna rabbi laghafoorur raheem. it means in allah's name, the ship moves and stops. my lord forgives and shows mercy. this is from surah hud ayat 41 and works for all trips.
Bismillahi wa lajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa ala rabbina tawakkalna. we go in using allah's name, we go out using allah's name, we trust our lord. many muslims love this travel dua for safe trips.
Subhanal-ladzi sakh-khara lana hadza wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin. Wa inna ila Rabbina lamun-qalibun. allah gave us this transport and we go back to him. it's a beautiful islamic prayer for people traveling.
Read Surah Al-Kafirun before any trip. Also pray two rakaat Sunnah before leaving home. These bring safety and are part of dhikr and dua for safe trips in Islam.
