In sajda, ask Allah to forgive you. Praise Him. Your heart feels calm. Every sujood in Muslim prayer makes your Amal strong.
The dua for forgiveness many Muslims say is Astaghfirullah. There is a longer form too: Astaghfirullāha rabbī waatūbu ilayhi. Say these often. They bring hope and mercy. These are the most loved duas for forgiveness in Islam.
One good dua for sajdah is waj`alhā lī `indaka dhukhra. wa taqabbal'hā minnī kamā taqabbal'tahā min `abdika Dāwūd. This prayer asks Allah to accept your sujood and give you rewards.
Yes. Muslims can make dua in prostration. Do it after fard or sunnah prayers. Say forgiveness dua in sujood. This is encouraged. It is one of the closest times to Allah during salah.
Between sujood, say this: O Allah, forgive me. Have mercy on me. Give me wellbeing. Guide me. Give me rizq. This dua brings good things for this life and the hereafter.
The dua between two sujoods is: O Allah forgive me. Have mercy on me. Guide me. Support me. Protect me. Provide for me. Lift me up. This covers all your needs. It brings comfort to the heart.
