Yes, forgiveness dua during sujood is normal. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) often asked Allah to forgive all sins, big and small, while in prostration during prayer.

Try Allahumma aghfir li wa'rhamni wa'jburni wa'hdini wa'rzuqni. This simple sujood dua asks for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, support, and what you need while sitting between two prostrations.

Sunnah says to say O Allah forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me and elevate me during the sitting between two sujoods. This covers big needs in your Muslim prayer.

Astaghfirullah is a short forgiveness dua the Prophet (peace be upon him) loved, often said over 100 times each day. It helps ask forgiveness fast and brings hearts back to Allah.
