رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ ﴿٤٠﴾ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ ﴿٤١﴾
Translation
(40) My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. (41) Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day when the account is established.
A This prayer asks Allah to help us and our kids pray salah. It asks Him to accept our duas. It also asks forgiveness for us, our parents, and all believers on Judgment Day.
A Ibrahim asked Allah to make Makkah safe, give people food, and protect him and his sons from worshiping idols. His prayer shows how important dua is for family and community.
