When you put some hadiths together, this is the dua you say when walking out of the mosque:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Transliteration
Bismillahi Allaahumma salli 'ala muhammad, Allaahumma inni as-aluka min fadlik
Translation
In the name of Allah (I am going out).Oh Allah! Please send blessings and peace upon muhammad (ﷺ). Oh Allah! I want from your bounty.
This dua asks Allah for His bounty. You step out of the masjid with peace. Your heart stays tied to remembrance even after prayer ends.
Best dua is Allahumma inni as aluka min fadlik. Also say Bismillah and send peace on the Prophet before asking for bounty.
It means Oh Allah I ask You from Your bounty. We need Allah's help for success and goodness outside the masjid.
We go back to daily life after prayer. We need Allah's help for rizq and good deeds in the outside world.
Sunnah is left foot first. Say the exit dua as you step out. This shows respect for the worship place.
