The Prophet (ﷺ) would say this dua:
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُوْعِ فَإِنَّهُ بِئْسَ الضَّجِيْعُ وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتِ الْبِطَانَةُ
Transliteration
Allaahumma inni a‛oodhu bika minal-joo‛i, fa-’innahu bi-’saddajee‛u, wa a‛oodhu bika minal-khiyaanati, fa-innahaa bi’satil-bitaanah
Translation
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from hunger, for it is the worst bedfellow. And I seek refuge in You from treachery, for it is the worst of associates.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُوعِ فَإِنَّهُ بِئْسَ الضَّجِيعُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتِ الْبِطَانَةُ " .
Translation
Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from hunger, for it is an evil bed-fellow; and I seek refuge in Thee from treachery, for it is an evil hidden trait." [Hasan (Albani). Abu Dawud: 1547]
Yes. We ask Allah to forgive us and keep us safe from danger. Islam has many duas that protect us from harm.
Read Surah Naas, Surah Falaq, and Surah Ikhlaas. These protect you from enemies and harm.
Say Allahumma innee a'uzubika min alhammi wal huzni wal ajzi wal kasli wal bukhli wal jubni wa dala'id dayni wa galabatir rijaal. This helps when you are sad, worried, or weak.
Say Hasbiya Allahu la ilaha illa huwa alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa rabbul arshil azeem. This dua brings peace to your heart and shows your trust in Allah.
Surah Al-Ma'ida 5:114 asks Allah for rizq and food. Allah is the best Giver of everything we need.
