Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
al-kafiruna
disbelievers

Say [Prophet], ‘Disbelievers

109:2
لَآ

Not
أَعۡبُدُ
a'budu
I worship
مَا
ma
what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
ta'buduna
you worship
٢
I do not worship what you worship

وَلَآ
wala
And not
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
عَٰبِدُونَ
abiduna
(are) worshippers
مَآ
ma
(of) what
أَعۡبُدُ
a'budu
I worship
٣
you do not worship what I worship

وَلَآ
wala
And not
أَنَا۠
ana
I am
عَابِدٞ
abidun
a worshipper
مَّا
ma
(of) what
عَبَدتُّمۡ
abadttum
you worship
٤
I will never worship what you worship

وَلَآ
wala
And not
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
عَٰبِدُونَ
abiduna
(are) worshippers
مَآ
ma
(of) what
أَعۡبُدُ
a'budu
I worship
٥
you will never worship what I worship

لَكُمۡ
lakum
For you
دِينُكُمۡ
dinukum
(is) your religion
وَلِيَ
waliya
and for me
دِينِ
dini
(is) my religion
٦
you have your religion and I have mine.’

110:1
إِذَا
idha
When
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
نَصۡرُ
nasru
(the) Help
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ
wal-fathu
and the Victory
١
When God’s help comes and He opens up your way [Prophet]

110:2
وَرَأَيۡتَ
wara-ayta
And you see
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
the people
يَدۡخُلُونَ
yadkhuluna
entering
فِي
fi
into
دِينِ
dini
(the) religion
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
أَفۡوَاجٗا
afwajan
(in) multitudes
٢
when you see people embracing God’s faith in crowds
Translation 1260
110:3
فَسَبِّحۡ
fasabbih
Then glorify
بِحَمۡدِ
bihamdi
with (the) praises
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ
wa-is'taghfir'hu
and ask His forgiveness
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
كَانَ
kana
is
تَوَّابَۢا
tawwaban
Oft-Returning
٣
celebrate the praise of your Lord and ask His forgiveness: He is always ready to accept repentance

تَبَّتۡ
tabbat
Perish
يَدَآ
yada
(the) hands
أَبِي
abi
(of) Abu
لَهَبٖ
lahabin
Lahab
وَتَبَّ
watabba
and perish he
١
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined! May he be ruined too

مَآ
ma
Not
أَغۡنَىٰ
aghna
(will) avail
عَنۡهُ
anhu
him
مَالُهُۥ
maluhu
his wealth
وَمَا
wama
and what
كَسَبَ
kasaba
he earned
٢
Neither his wealth nor his gains will help him

سَيَصۡلَىٰ
sayasla
He will be burnt
نَارٗا
naran
(in) a Fire
ذَاتَ
dhata
of
لَهَبٖ
lahabin
Blazing Flames
٣
he will burn in the Flaming Fire––

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ
wa-im'ra-atuhu
And his wife
حَمَّالَةَ
hammalata
(the) carrier
ٱلۡحَطَبِ
al-hatabi
(of) firewood
٤
and so will his wife, the firewood-carrier

111:5
فِي
fi
In
جِيدِهَا
jidiha
her neck
حَبۡلٞ
hablun
(will be) a rope
مِّن
min
of
مَّسَدِۭ
masadin
palm-fiber
٥
with a palm-fibre rope around her neck
