أَفَرَءَيۡتَ
afara-ayta
Did you see
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one who
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawalla
turned away
٣٣

53:34
وَأَعۡطَىٰ
wa-a'ta
And gave
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a little
وَأَكۡدَىٰٓ
wa-akda
and withheld
٣٤
53:35
أَعِندَهُۥ
a'indahu
Is with him
عِلۡمُ
il'mu
(the) knowledge
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
al-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
so he
يَرَىٰٓ
yara
sees
٣٥
53:36
أَمۡ
am
Or
لَمۡ
lam
not
يُنَبَّأۡ
yunabba
he was informed
بِمَا
bima
with what
فِي
fi
(was) in
صُحُفِ
suhufi
(the) Scriptures
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
٣٦
53:37
وَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
wa-ib'rahima
And Ibrahim
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
who
وَفَّىٰٓ
waffa
fulfilled
٣٧
53:38
أَلَّا
alla
That not
تَزِرُ
taziru
will bear
وَازِرَةٞ
waziratun
a bearer of burdens
وِزۡرَ
wiz'ra
(the) burden
أُخۡرَىٰ
ukh'ra
(of) another
٣٨
53:39
وَأَن
wa-an
And that
لَّيۡسَ
laysa
is not
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
lil'insani
for man
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
what
سَعَىٰ
sa'a
he strives (for)
٣٩
53:40
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
And that
سَعۡيَهُۥ
sa'yahu
his striving
سَوۡفَ
sawfa
will soon
يُرَىٰ
yura
be seen
٤٠
53:41
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
يُجۡزَىٰهُ
yuj'zahu
he will be recompensed for it
ٱلۡجَزَآءَ
al-jazaa
the recompense
ٱلۡأَوۡفَىٰ
al-awfa
the fullest
٤١
53:42
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
And that
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
ٱلۡمُنتَهَىٰ
al-muntaha
(is) the final goal
٤٢
53:43
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-annahu
And that He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
أَضۡحَكَ
adhaka
makes (one) laugh
وَأَبۡكَىٰ
wa-abka
and makes (one) weep
٤٣
53:44
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-annahu
And that He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
أَمَاتَ
amata
causes death
وَأَحۡيَا
wa-ahya
and gives life

وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-annahu
And that He
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ
al-zawjayni
the pairs
ٱلذَّكَرَ
al-dhakara
the male
وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰ
wal-untha
and the female
٤٥
53:46
مِن
min
From
نُّطۡفَةٍ
nut'fatin
a semen-drop
إِذَا
idha
when
تُمۡنَىٰ
tum'na
it is emitted
٤٦
53:47
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
And that
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
upon Him
ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ
al-nashata
(is) the bringing forth
ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰ
al-ukh'ra
another
٤٧
53:48
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-annahu
And that He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
أَغۡنَىٰ
aghna
enriches
وَأَقۡنَىٰ
wa-aqna
and suffices
٤٨
53:49
وَأَنَّهُۥ
wa-annahu
And that He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
رَبُّ
rabbu
(is the) Lord
ٱلشِّعۡرَىٰ
al-shi'ra
(of) Sirius
٤٩
53:50
وَأَنَّهُۥٓ
wa-annahu
And that He
أَهۡلَكَ
ahlaka
destroyed
عَادًا
adan
Aad
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
al-ula
the first
٥٠
53:51
وَثَمُودَاْ
wathamuda
And Thamud
فَمَآ
fama
so not
أَبۡقَىٰ
abqa
He spared
٥١
53:52
وَقَوۡمَ
waqawma
And (the) people
نُوحٖ
nuhin
(of) Nuh
مِّن
min
before
قَبۡلُۖ
qablu
before
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
هُمۡ
hum
they were
أَظۡلَمَ
azlama
more unjust
وَأَطۡغَىٰ
wa-atgha
and more rebellious
٥٢
53:53
وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَةَ
wal-mu'tafikata
And the overturned cities
أَهۡوَىٰ
ahwa
He overthrew
٥٣
53:54
فَغَشَّىٰهَا
faghashaha
So covered them
مَا
ma
what
غَشَّىٰ
ghasha
covered
٥٤
53:55
فَبِأَيِّ
fabi-ayyi
Then which (of)
ءَالَآءِ
alai
the Favors
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
تَتَمَارَىٰ
tatamara
will you doubt
٥٥
53:56
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
نَذِيرٞ
nadhirun
(is) a warner
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلنُّذُرِ
al-nudhuri
the warners
ٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ
al-ula
the former
٥٦
53:57
أَزِفَتِ
azifati
Has approached
ٱلۡأٓزِفَةُ
al-azifatu
the Approaching Day
٥٧
53:58
لَيۡسَ
laysa
Not is
لَهَا
laha
for it
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
كَاشِفَةٌ
kashifatun
any remover
٥٨
53:59
أَفَمِنۡ
afamin
Then of
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
ٱلۡحَدِيثِ
al-hadithi
statement
تَعۡجَبُونَ
ta'jabuna
you wonder
٥٩
53:60
وَتَضۡحَكُونَ
watadhakuna
And you laugh
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَبۡكُونَ
tabkuna
weep
٦٠
53:61
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
While you
سَٰمِدُونَ
samiduna
amuse (yourselves)
٦١
53:62
فَٱسۡجُدُواْۤ
fa-us'judu
So prostrate
لِلَّهِۤ
lillahi
to Allah
وَٱعۡبُدُواْ۩
wa-u'budu
and worship (Him)
٦٢
