51:24

هَلۡ

hal

Has

أَتَىٰكَ

ataka

reached you

حَدِيثُ

hadithu

(the) narration

ضَيۡفِ

dayfi

(of the) guests

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rahima

(of) Ibrahim

ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَ

al-muk'ramina

the honored

٢٤

51:25

إِذۡ

idh

When

دَخَلُواْ

dakhalu

they entered

عَلَيۡهِ

alayhi

upon him

فَقَالُواْ

faqalu

and said

سَلَٰمٗاۖ

salaman

Peace

قَالَ

qala

He said

سَلَٰمٞ

salamun

Peace

قَوۡمٞ

qawmun

a people

مُّنكَرُونَ

munkaruna

unknown

٢٥

51:26

فَرَاغَ

faragha

Then he went

إِلَىٰٓ

ila

أَهۡلِهِۦ

ahlihi

his household

فَجَآءَ

fajaa

and came

بِعِجۡلٖ

bi'ij'lin

with a calf

سَمِينٖ

saminin

fat

٢٦

51:27

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ

faqarrabahu

And he placed it near

إِلَيۡهِمۡ

ilayhim

[to] them

قَالَ

qala

he said

أَلَا

ala

Will not

تَأۡكُلُونَ

takuluna

you eat

٢٧

51:28

فَأَوۡجَسَ

fa-awjasa

Then he felt

مِنۡهُمۡ

min'hum

from them

خِيفَةٗۖ

khifatan

a fear

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

لَا

(Do) not

تَخَفۡۖ

takhaf

fear

وَبَشَّرُوهُ

wabasharuhu

and they gave him glad tidings

بِغُلَٰمٍ

bighulamin

of a son

عَلِيمٖ

alimin

learned

٢٨

51:29

فَأَقۡبَلَتِ

fa-aqbalati

Then came forward

ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ

im'ra-atuhu

his wife

فِي

with

صَرَّةٖ

sarratin

a loud voice

فَصَكَّتۡ

fasakkat

and struck

وَجۡهَهَا

wajhaha

her face

وَقَالَتۡ

waqalat

and she said

عَجُوزٌ

ajuzun

An old woman

عَقِيمٞ

aqimun

barren

٢٩

51:30

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

كَذَٰلِكِ

kadhaliki

Thus

قَالَ

qala

said

رَبُّكِۖ

rabbuki

your Lord

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed He

هُوَ

huwa

[He]

ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

al-hakimu

(is) the All-Wise

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

al-'alimu

the All-Knower

51:31

۞قَالَ

qala

He said

فَمَا

fama

Then what

خَطۡبُكُمۡ

khatbukum

(is) your mission

أَيُّهَا

ayyuha

O messengers

ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

al-mur'saluna

O messengers

٣١

51:32

قَالُوٓاْ

qalu

They said

إِنَّآ

inna

Indeed we

أُرۡسِلۡنَآ

ur'sil'na

[we] have been sent

إِلَىٰ

ila

قَوۡمٖ

qawmin

a people

مُّجۡرِمِينَ

muj'rimina

criminal

٣٢

51:33

لِنُرۡسِلَ

linur'sila

That we may send down

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

alayhim

upon them

حِجَارَةٗ

hijaratan

stones

مِّن

min

طِينٖ

tinin

clay

٣٣

51:34

مُّسَوَّمَةً

musawwamatan

Marked

عِندَ

inda

by your Lord

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

by your Lord

لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

lil'mus'rifina

for the transgressors

٣٤

51:35

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا

fa-akhrajna

Then We brought out

مَن

man

(those) who

كَانَ

kana

were

فِيهَا

fiha

therein

مِنَ

mina

ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

al-mu'minina

the believers

٣٥

51:36

فَمَا

fama

But not

وَجَدۡنَا

wajadna

We found

فِيهَا

fiha

therein

غَيۡرَ

ghayra

other than

بَيۡتٖ

baytin

a house

مِّنَ

mina

ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

al-mus'limina

the Muslims

٣٦

51:37

وَتَرَكۡنَا

watarakna

And We left

فِيهَآ

fiha

therein

ءَايَةٗ

ayatan

a Sign

لِّلَّذِينَ

lilladhina

for those who

يَخَافُونَ

yakhafuna

fear

ٱلۡعَذَابَ

al-'adhaba

the punishment

ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

al-alima

the painful

٣٧

51:38

وَفِي

wafi

And in

مُوسَىٰٓ

musa

Musa

إِذۡ

idh

when

أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ

arsalnahu

We sent him

إِلَىٰ

ila

فِرۡعَوۡنَ

fir'awna

Firaun

بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ

bisul'tanin

with an authority

مُّبِينٖ

mubinin

clear

٣٨

51:39

فَتَوَلَّىٰ

fatawalla

But he turned away

بِرُكۡنِهِۦ

biruk'nihi

with his supporters

وَقَالَ

waqala

and said

سَٰحِرٌ

sahirun

A magician

أَوۡ

مَجۡنُونٞ

majnunun

a madman

٣٩

51:40

فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ

fa-akhadhnahu

So We took him

وَجُنُودَهُۥ

wajunudahu

and his hosts

فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ

fanabadhnahum

and threw them

فِي

into

ٱلۡيَمِّ

al-yami

the sea

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

while he

مُلِيمٞ

mulimun

(was) blameworthy

٤٠

51:41

وَفِي

wafi

And in

عَادٍ

adin

Aad

إِذۡ

idh

when

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

arsalna

We sent

عَلَيۡهِمُ

alayhimu

against them

ٱلرِّيحَ

al-riha

the wind

ٱلۡعَقِيمَ

al-'aqima

the barren

٤١

51:42

مَا

Not

تَذَرُ

tadharu

it left

مِن

min

any

شَيۡءٍ

shayin

thing

أَتَتۡ

atat

it came

عَلَيۡهِ

alayhi

upon it

إِلَّا

illa

but

جَعَلَتۡهُ

ja'alathu

it made it

كَٱلرَّمِيمِ

kal-ramimi

like disintegrated ruins

٤٢

51:43

وَفِي

wafi

And in

ثَمُودَ

thamuda

Thamud

إِذۡ

idh

when

قِيلَ

qila

was said

لَهُمۡ

lahum

to them

تَمَتَّعُواْ

tamatta'u

Enjoy (yourselves)

حَتَّىٰ

hatta

for

حِينٖ

hinin

a time

٤٣

51:44

فَعَتَوۡاْ

fa'ataw

But they rebelled

عَنۡ

against

أَمۡرِ

amri

(the) Command

رَبِّهِمۡ

rabbihim

(of) their Lord

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ

fa-akhadhathumu

so seized them

ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ

al-sa'iqatu

the thunderbolt

وَهُمۡ

wahum

while they

يَنظُرُونَ

yanzuruna

were looking

٤٤

51:45

فَمَا

fama

Then not

ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ

is'tata'u

they were able to

مِن

min

[of]

قِيَامٖ

qiyamin

stand

وَمَا

wama

and not

كَانُواْ

kanu

they could

مُنتَصِرِينَ

muntasirina

help themselves

٤٥

51:46

وَقَوۡمَ

waqawma

And (the) people

نُوحٖ

nuhin

(of) Nuh

مِّن

min

before

قَبۡلُۖ

qablu

before

إِنَّهُمۡ

innahum

indeed they

كَانُواْ

kanu

were

قَوۡمٗا

qawman

a people

فَٰسِقِينَ

fasiqina

defiantly disobedient

٤٦
