وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قُلۡنَا
qul'na
We said
لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
lil'malaikati
to the Angels
ٱسۡجُدُواْ
us'judu
Prostrate
لِأٓدَمَ
liadama
to Adam
فَسَجَدُوٓاْ
fasajadu
then they prostrated
إِلَّآ
illa
except
إِبۡلِيسَ
ib'lisa
Iblis
أَبَىٰ
aba
he refused
