15:80

وَلَقَدۡ

walaqad

And certainly

كَذَّبَ

kadhaba

denied

أَصۡحَٰبُ

ashabu

(the) companions

ٱلۡحِجۡرِ

al-hij'ri

(of) the Rocky Tract

ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

al-mur'salina

the Messengers

٨٠

15:81

وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ

waataynahum

And We gave them

ءَايَٰتِنَا

ayatina

Our Signs

فَكَانُواْ

fakanu

but they were

عَنۡهَا

anha

from them

مُعۡرِضِينَ

mu'ridina

turning away

٨١

15:82

وَكَانُواْ

wakanu

And they used (to)

يَنۡحِتُونَ

yanhituna

carve

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلۡجِبَالِ

al-jibali

the mountains

بُيُوتًا

buyutan

houses

ءَامِنِينَ

aminina

secure

٨٢

15:83

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ

fa-akhadhathumu

But seized them

ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ

al-sayhatu

the awful cry

مُصۡبِحِينَ

mus'bihina

(at) early morning

٨٣

15:84

فَمَآ

fama

And not

أَغۡنَىٰ

aghna

availed

عَنۡهُم

anhum

them

مَّا

ma

what

كَانُواْ

kanu

they used (to)

يَكۡسِبُونَ

yaksibuna

earn

٨٤

15:85

وَمَا

wama

And not

خَلَقۡنَا

khalaqna

We created

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

al-samawati

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ

wal-arda

and the earth

وَمَا

wama

and whatever

بَيۡنَهُمَآ

baynahuma

(is) between them

إِلَّا

illa

except

بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ

bil-haqi

in truth

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

ٱلسَّاعَةَ

al-sa'ata

the Hour

لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ

laatiyatun

(is) surely coming

فَٱصۡفَحِ

fa-is'fahi

So overlook

ٱلصَّفۡحَ

al-safha

(with) forgiveness

ٱلۡجَمِيلَ

al-jamila

gracious

٨٥

15:86

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

رَبَّكَ

rabbaka

your Lord

هُوَ

huwa

He

ٱلۡخَلَّٰقُ

al-khalaqu

(is) the Creator

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

al-'alimu

the All-Knower

٨٦

15:87

وَلَقَدۡ

walaqad

And certainly

ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ

ataynaka

We have given you

سَبۡعٗا

sab'an

seven

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلۡمَثَانِي

al-mathani

the oft-repeated

وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

wal-qur'ana

and the Quran

ٱلۡعَظِيمَ

al-'azima

Great

٨٧

15:88

لَا

la

(Do) not

تَمُدَّنَّ

tamuddanna

extend

عَيۡنَيۡكَ

aynayka

your eyes

إِلَىٰ

ila

towards

مَا

ma

what

مَتَّعۡنَا

matta'na

We have bestowed

بِهِۦٓ

bihi

with it

أَزۡوَٰجٗا

azwajan

(to) categories

مِّنۡهُمۡ

min'hum

of them

وَلَا

wala

and (do) not

تَحۡزَنۡ

tahzan

grieve

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

alayhim

over them

وَٱخۡفِضۡ

wa-ikh'fid

And lower

جَنَاحَكَ

janahaka

your wing

لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

lil'mu'minina

to the believers

٨٨

15:89

وَقُلۡ

waqul

And say

إِنِّيٓ

inni

Indeed I

أَنَا

ana

[I] am

ٱلنَّذِيرُ

al-nadhiru

a warner

ٱلۡمُبِينُ

al-mubinu

clear

٨٩

15:90

كَمَآ

kama

As

أَنزَلۡنَا

anzalna

We sent down

عَلَى

ala

on

ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ

al-muq'tasimina

those who divided

15:91

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

Those who

جَعَلُواْ

ja'alu

have made

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

al-qur'ana

the Quran

عِضِينَ

idina

(in) parts

٩١

15:92

فَوَرَبِّكَ

fawarabbika

So by your Lord

لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ

lanasalannahum

surely We will question them

أَجۡمَعِينَ

ajma'ina

all

٩٢

15:93

عَمَّا

amma

About what

كَانُواْ

kanu

they used (to)

يَعۡمَلُونَ

ya'maluna

do

٩٣

15:94

فَٱصۡدَعۡ

fa-is'da'

So proclaim

بِمَا

bima

of what

تُؤۡمَرُ

tu'maru

you are ordered

وَأَعۡرِضۡ

wa-a'rid

and turn away

عَنِ

ani

from

ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

al-mush'rikina

the polytheists

٩٤

15:95

إِنَّا

inna

Indeed We

كَفَيۡنَٰكَ

kafaynaka

[We] are sufficient for you

ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ

al-mus'tahziina

(against) the mockers

٩٥

15:96

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

Those who

يَجۡعَلُونَ

yaj'aluna

set up

مَعَ

ma'a

with

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

Allah

إِلَٰهًا

ilahan

god

ءَاخَرَۚ

akhara

another

فَسَوۡفَ

fasawfa

But soon

يَعۡلَمُونَ

ya'lamuna

they will come to know

٩٦

15:97

وَلَقَدۡ

walaqad

And verily

نَعۡلَمُ

na'lamu

We know

أَنَّكَ

annaka

that [you]

يَضِيقُ

yadiqu

(is) straitened

صَدۡرُكَ

sadruka

your breast

بِمَا

bima

by what

يَقُولُونَ

yaquluna

they say

٩٧

15:98

فَسَبِّحۡ

fasabbih

So glorify

بِحَمۡدِ

bihamdi

with the praise

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

وَكُن

wakun

and be

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

al-sajidina

those who prostrate

٩٨

15:99

وَٱعۡبُدۡ

wa-u'bud

And worship

رَبَّكَ

rabbaka

your Lord

حَتَّىٰ

hatta

until

يَأۡتِيَكَ

yatiyaka

comes to you

ٱلۡيَقِينُ

al-yaqinu

the certainty

٩٩
