One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

10:90
۞وَجَٰوَزۡنَا
wajawazna
And We took across
بِبَنِيٓ
bibani
(the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(of) Israel
ٱلۡبَحۡرَ
al-bahra
the sea
فَأَتۡبَعَهُمۡ
fa-atba'ahum
and followed them
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
wajunuduhu
and his hosts
بَغۡيٗا
baghyan
(in) rebellion
وَعَدۡوًاۖ
wa'adwan
and enmity
حَتَّىٰٓ
hatta
until
إِذَآ
idha
when
أَدۡرَكَهُ
adrakahu
overtook him
ٱلۡغَرَقُ
al-gharaqu
the drowning
قَالَ
qala
he said
ءَامَنتُ
amantu
I believe
أَنَّهُۥ
annahu
that
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
the One
ءَامَنَتۡ
amanat
in Whom believe
بِهِۦ
bihi
in Whom believe
بَنُوٓاْ
banu
the Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
the Children of Israel
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ana
and I am
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
al-mus'limina
the Muslims
٩٠
10:91
ءَآلۡـَٰٔنَ
al'ana
Now
وَقَدۡ
waqad
And verily
عَصَيۡتَ
asayta
you (had) disobeyed
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
وَكُنتَ
wakunta
and you were
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
al-muf'sidina
the corrupters
٩١
10:92
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
fal-yawma
So today
نُنَجِّيكَ
nunajjika
We will save you
بِبَدَنِكَ
bibadanika
in your body
لِتَكُونَ
litakuna
that you may be
لِمَنۡ
liman
for (those) who
خَلۡفَكَ
khalfaka
succeed you
ءَايَةٗۚ
ayatan
a sign
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
many
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the mankind
عَنۡ
an
of
ءَايَٰتِنَا
ayatina
Our Signs
لَغَٰفِلُونَ
laghafiluna
(are) surely heedless
٩٢
10:93
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
بَوَّأۡنَا
bawwana
We settled
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(of) Israel
مُبَوَّأَ
mubawwa-a
(in) a settlement
صِدۡقٖ
sid'qin
honorable
وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم
warazaqnahum
and We provided them
مِّنَ
mina
with
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
al-tayibati
the good things
فَمَا
fama
and not
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
ikh'talafu
they differ
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
جَآءَهُمُ
jaahumu
came to them
ٱلۡعِلۡمُۚ
al-'il'mu
the knowledge
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
يَقۡضِي
yaqdi
will judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on) the Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
fima
concerning what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used (to)
فِيهِ
fihi
[in it]
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifuna
differ
٩٣
10:94
فَإِن
fa-in
So if
كُنتَ
kunta
you are
فِي
fi
in
شَكّٖ
shakkin
doubt
مِّمَّآ
mimma
of what
أَنزَلۡنَآ
anzalna
We have revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
فَسۡـَٔلِ
fasali
then ask
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَقۡرَءُونَ
yaqrauna
(have been) reading
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
مِن
min
before you
قَبۡلِكَۚ
qablika
before you
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Verily
جَآءَكَ
jaaka
has come to you
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
فَلَا
fala
so (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَ
al-mum'tarina
the doubters
٩٤
10:95
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kadhabu
deny
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biayati
(the) Signs of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(the) Signs of Allah
فَتَكُونَ
fatakuna
then you will be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
al-khasirina
the losers
٩٥
10:96
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those [whom]
حَقَّتۡ
haqqat
has become due
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
كَلِمَتُ
kalimatu
(the) Word
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
لَا
la
will not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
٩٦
10:97
وَلَوۡ
walaw
Even if
جَآءَتۡهُمۡ
jaathum
comes to them
كُلُّ
kullu
every
ءَايَةٍ
ayatin
Sign
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَرَوُاْ
yarawu
they see
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
al-'adhaba
the punishment
ٱلۡأَلِيمَ
al-alima
the painful
٩٧

10:98
فَلَوۡلَا
falawla
So why not
كَانَتۡ
kanat
was
قَرۡيَةٌ
qaryatun
any town
ءَامَنَتۡ
amanat
that believed
فَنَفَعَهَآ
fanafa'aha
and benefited it
إِيمَٰنُهَآ
imanuha
its faith
إِلَّا
illa
except
قَوۡمَ
qawma
the people
يُونُسَ
yunusa
(of) Yunus
لَمَّآ
lamma
When
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
they believed
كَشَفۡنَا
kashafna
We removed
عَنۡهُمۡ
anhum
from them
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(the) punishment
ٱلۡخِزۡيِ
al-khiz'yi
(of) the disgrace
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
of the world
وَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ
wamatta'nahum
and We granted them enjoyment
إِلَىٰ
ila
for
حِينٖ
hinin
a time
٩٨
10:99
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
شَآءَ
shaa
(had) willed
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
لَأٓمَنَ
laamana
surely (would) have believed
مَن
man
who
فِي
fi
(are) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
كُلُّهُمۡ
kulluhum
all of them
جَمِيعًاۚ
jami'an
together
أَفَأَنتَ
afa-anta
Then will you
تُكۡرِهُ
tuk'rihu
compel
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
the mankind
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَكُونُواْ
yakunu
they become
مُؤۡمِنِينَ
mu'minina
believers
٩٩
10:100
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
is
لِنَفۡسٍ
linafsin
for a soul
أَن
an
to
تُؤۡمِنَ
tu'mina
believe
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَيَجۡعَلُ
wayaj'alu
And He will place
ٱلرِّجۡسَ
al-rij'sa
the wrath
عَلَى
ala
on
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡقِلُونَ
ya'qiluna
use reason
١٠٠
10:101
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱنظُرُواْ
unzuru
See
مَاذَا
madha
what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَمَا
wama
But not
تُغۡنِي
tugh'ni
will avail
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتُ
al-ayatu
the Signs
وَٱلنُّذُرُ
wal-nudhuru
and the warners
عَن
an
to
قَوۡمٖ
qawmin
a people
لَّا
la
(who do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
١٠١
10:102
فَهَلۡ
fahal
Then do
يَنتَظِرُونَ
yantaziruna
they wait
إِلَّا
illa
except
مِثۡلَ
mith'la
like
أَيَّامِ
ayyami
the days
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
خَلَوۡاْ
khalaw
passed away
مِن
min
before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
qablihim
before them
قُلۡ
qul
Say
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ
fa-intaziru
Then wait
إِنِّي
inni
indeed I (am)
مَعَكُم
ma'akum
with you
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ
al-muntazirina
the ones who wait
١٠٢
10:103
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
نُنَجِّي
nunajji
We will save
رُسُلَنَا
rusulana
Our Messengers
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْۚ
amanu
believe
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
حَقًّا
haqqan
(it is) an obligation
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
upon Us
نُنجِ
nunji
(that) We save
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
the believers
١٠٣
10:104
قُلۡ
qul
Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
O mankind
إِن
in
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
فِي
fi
in
شَكّٖ
shakkin
doubt
مِّن
min
of
دِينِي
dini
my religion
فَلَآ
fala
then not
أَعۡبُدُ
a'budu
I worship
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whom
تَعۡبُدُونَ
ta'buduna
you worship
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
duni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
besides Allah
وَلَٰكِنۡ
walakin
but
أَعۡبُدُ
a'budu
I worship
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمۡۖ
yatawaffakum
causes you to die
وَأُمِرۡتُ
wa-umir'tu
And I am commanded
أَنۡ
an
that
أَكُونَ
akuna
I be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
the believers
١٠٤
10:105
وَأَنۡ
wa-an
And that
أَقِمۡ
aqim
Direct
وَجۡهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
لِلدِّينِ
lilddini
to the religion
حَنِيفٗا
hanifan
upright
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
the polytheists
١٠٥
10:106
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَدۡعُ
tad'u
invoke
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
duni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
besides Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَا
la
(will) not
يَنفَعُكَ
yanfa'uka
benefit you
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَضُرُّكَۖ
yadurruka
harm you
فَإِن
fa-in
But if
فَعَلۡتَ
fa'alta
you did so
فَإِنَّكَ
fa-innaka
indeed you
إِذٗا
idhan
then (will be)
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
١٠٦

10:107
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَمۡسَسۡكَ
yamsaska
Allah touches you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah touches you
بِضُرّٖ
bidurrin
with adversity
فَلَا
fala
(there is) no
كَاشِفَ
kashifa
remover
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
of it
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَۖ
huwa
Him
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يُرِدۡكَ
yurid'ka
He intends for you
بِخَيۡرٖ
bikhayrin
any good
فَلَا
fala
then (there is) no
رَآدَّ
radda
repeller
لِفَضۡلِهِۦۚ
lifadlihi
(of) His Bounty
يُصِيبُ
yusibu
He causes it to reach
بِهِۦ
bihi
He causes it to reach
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
مِنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦۚ
ibadihi
His slaves
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلۡغَفُورُ
al-ghafuru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
١٠٧
10:108
قُلۡ
qul
Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
O mankind
قَدۡ
qad
Verily
جَآءَكُمُ
jaakumu
has come to you
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
rabbikum
your Lord
فَمَنِ
famani
So whoever
ٱهۡتَدَىٰ
ih'tada
(is) guided
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَهۡتَدِي
yahtadi
(he is) guided
لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
linafsihi
for his soul
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
ضَلَّ
dalla
goes astray
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَضِلُّ
yadillu
he strays
عَلَيۡهَاۖ
alayha
against it
وَمَآ
wama
And I am not
أَنَا۠
ana
And I am not
عَلَيۡكُم
alaykum
over you
بِوَكِيلٖ
biwakilin
a guardian
١٠٨
10:109
وَٱتَّبِعۡ
wa-ittabi'
And follow
مَا
ma
what
يُوحَىٰٓ
yuha
is revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
وَٱصۡبِرۡ
wa-is'bir
and be patient
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَحۡكُمَ
yahkuma
Allah gives judgment
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah gives judgment
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
خَيۡرُ
khayru
(is) the Best
ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ
al-hakimina
(of) the Judges
١٠٩
11:1
الٓرۚ
alif-lam-ra
Alif Lam Ra
كِتَٰبٌ
kitabun
(This is) a Book
أُحۡكِمَتۡ
uh'kimat
are perfected
ءَايَٰتُهُۥ
ayatuhu
its Verses
ثُمَّ
thumma
moreover
فُصِّلَتۡ
fussilat
explained in detail
مِن
min
from (he One Who)
لَّدُنۡ
ladun
from (he One Who)
حَكِيمٍ
hakimin
(is) All-Wise
خَبِيرٍ
khabirin
All-Aware
١
11:2
أَلَّا
alla
That Not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
ta'budu
you worship
إِلَّا
illa
but
ٱللَّهَۚ
al-laha
Allah
إِنَّنِي
innani
Indeed I am
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مِّنۡهُ
min'hu
from Him
نَذِيرٞ
nadhirun
a warner
وَبَشِيرٞ
wabashirun
and a bearer of glad tidings
٢
11:3
وَأَنِ
wa-ani
And that
ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ
is'taghfiru
Seek forgiveness
رَبَّكُمۡ
rabbakum
(of) your Lord
ثُمَّ
thumma
and
تُوبُوٓاْ
tubu
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to Him
يُمَتِّعۡكُم
yumatti'kum
He will let you
مَّتَٰعًا
mata'an
enjoy
حَسَنًا
hasanan
a good
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musamman
appointed
وَيُؤۡتِ
wayu'ti
And give
كُلَّ
kulla
(to) every
ذِي
dhi
owner
فَضۡلٖ
fadlin
(of) grace
فَضۡلَهُۥۖ
fadlahu
His Grace
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
تَوَلَّوۡاْ
tawallaw
you turn away
فَإِنِّيٓ
fa-inni
then indeed I
أَخَافُ
akhafu
fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
for you
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(the) punishment
يَوۡمٖ
yawmin
(of) a Great Day
كَبِيرٍ
kabirin
(of) a Great Day
٣
11:4
إِلَى
ila
To
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ
marji'ukum
(is) your return
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
عَلَىٰ
ala
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٌ
qadirun
All-Powerful
٤
11:5
أَلَآ
ala
No doubt
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
They
يَثۡنُونَ
yathnuna
fold up
صُدُورَهُمۡ
sudurahum
their breasts
لِيَسۡتَخۡفُواْ
liyastakhfu
that they may hide
مِنۡهُۚ
min'hu
from Him
أَلَا
ala
Surely
حِينَ
hina
when
يَسۡتَغۡشُونَ
yastaghshuna
they cover (themselves)
ثِيَابَهُمۡ
thiyabahum
(with) their garments
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
He knows
مَا
ma
what
يُسِرُّونَ
yusirruna
they conceal
وَمَا
wama
and what
يُعۡلِنُونَۚ
yu'linuna
they reveal
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knower
بِذَاتِ
bidhati
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
al-suduri
(is in) the breasts
٥
