One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

10:53

۞وَيَسۡتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ

Wa-yastambiʹoonaka

And they ask you to inform

أَحَقٌّ

ʹaḥaq̣q̣un

Is it true

هُوَۖ

hoo?

Is it true

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

إِي

ʹEe

Yes

وَرَبِّيٓ

wa-Rabbeee

by my Lord

إِنَّهُۥ

ʹinnahoo

Indeed it

لَحَقّٞۖ

laḥaq̣q̣!

(is) surely the truth

وَمَآ

Wa-maaa

and not

أَنتُم

ʹañtum

you

بِمُعۡجِزِينَ

bimuʻjizeen!

(can) escape (it)

وَلَوۡ

Wa-law

And if

أَنَّ

ʹanna

that

لِكُلِّ

likulli

for every

نَفۡسٖ

nafsiñ

soul

ظَلَمَتۡ

z̤̣alamat

(that) wronged

مَا

maa-

whatever

فِي

fil

(is) in

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

لَٱفۡتَدَتۡ

laftadat

it (would) seek to ransom

بِهِۦۗ

bih:

with it

وَأَسَرُّواْ

wa-ʹasarrun

and they (will) confide

ٱلنَّدَامَةَ

nadaamata

the regret

لَمَّا

lammaa

when

رَأَوُاْ

raʹawul

they see

ٱلۡعَذَابَۖ

ʻaẓaab:

the punishment

وَقُضِيَ

wa-q̣uḍiya

But will be judged

بَيۡنَهُم

baynahum̃

between them

بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ

bilq̣isṭi

in justice

وَهُمۡ

wahum

and they

لَا

laa-

(will) not

يُظۡلَمُونَ

yuz̤̣lamoon.

(be) wronged

10:55

أَلَآ

ʹAlaaa

No doubt

إِنَّ

ʹinna

indeed

لِلَّهِ

lillaahi

for Allah

مَا

maa-

(is) whatever

فِي

fis

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ

wal-ʹarḍ?

and the earth

أَلَآ

ʹAlaaa

No doubt

إِنَّ

ʹinna

indeed

وَعۡدَ

waʻdal

(the) Promise of Allah

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(the) Promise of Allah

حَقّٞ

ḥaq̣q̣uñw

(is) true

وَلَٰكِنَّ

walaakinna

But

أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ

ʹaks̤arahum

most of them

لَا

laa-

(do) not

يَعۡلَمُونَ

yaʻlamoon?

know

٥٥

10:56

هُوَ

Huwa

يُحۡيِۦ

yuḥyee

gives life

وَيُمِيتُ

wa-yumeetu

and causes death

وَإِلَيۡهِ

wa-ʹilayhi

and to Him

تُرۡجَعُونَ

turjaʻoon.

you will be returned

10:57

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

Yaaaʹayyuhan

O mankind

ٱلنَّاسُ

naasu

O mankind

قَدۡ

q̣ad

Verily

جَآءَتۡكُم

jaaaʹatkum

has come to you

مَّوۡعِظَةٞ

mawʻiz̤̣atum

an instruction

مِّن

mir

from

رَّبِّكُمۡ

Rabbikum

your Lord

وَشِفَآءٞ

wa-shifaaaʹul

and a healing

لِّمَا

limaa

for what

فِي

fiṣ

(is) in

ٱلصُّدُورِ

ṣudoori

your breasts

وَهُدٗى

wa-Hudañw

and guidance

وَرَحۡمَةٞ

wa-Raḥmatul

and mercy

لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

lil-Muʹmineen.

for the believers

٥٧

10:58

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

بِفَضۡلِ

bi-Faḍlil

In the Bounty

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(of) Allah

وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ

wa-bi-Raḥmatihee

and in His Mercy

فَبِذَٰلِكَ

fabiẓaalika

so in that

فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ

fal-yafraḥoo:

let them rejoice

هُوَ

huwa

خَيۡرٞ

khayrum

(is) better

مِّمَّا

mimmaa

than what

يَجۡمَعُونَ

yajmaʻoon.

they accumulate

10:59

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

أَرَءَيۡتُم

ʹaraʹaytum

Have you seen

مَّآ

maaa

what

أَنزَلَ

ʹañzalal

(has been) sent down

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

(by) Allah

لَكُم

lakum

for you

مِّن

mir

رِّزۡقٖ

rizq̣iñ

(the) provision

فَجَعَلۡتُم

fajaʻaltum

and you have made

مِّنۡهُ

minhu

of it

حَرَامٗا

ḥaraamañw

unlawful

وَحَلَٰلٗا

waḥalaalaa.

and lawful

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

ءَآللَّهُ

ʹaaallaahu

Has Allah

أَذِنَ

ʹaẓina

permitted

لَكُمۡۖ

lakum

[to] you

أَمۡ

ʹam

عَلَى

ʻalal

about

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

تَفۡتَرُونَ

taftaroon?

you invent (lies)

10:60

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And what

ظَنُّ

z̤̣annul

(will be the) assumption

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

(of) those who

يَفۡتَرُونَ

yaftaroona

invent

عَلَى

ʻalal

against

ٱللَّهِ

laahil

Allah

ٱلۡكَذِبَ

kaẓiba

the lie

يَوۡمَ

Yawmal

(on) the Day

ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ

Q̣iyaamah?

(of) the Judgment

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

لَذُو

la-Ẓoo

(is) surely Full (of) Bounty

فَضۡلٍ

faḍlin

(is) surely Full (of) Bounty

عَلَى

ʻalan

ٱلنَّاسِ

naasi

the mankind

وَلَٰكِنَّ

wa-laakinna

but

أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ

ʹaks̤arahum

most of them

لَا

laa-

(are) not

يَشۡكُرُونَ

yashkuroon.

grateful

10:61

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And not

تَكُونُ

takoonu

you are

فِي

fee

[in]

شَأۡنٖ

shaʹniñw

any situation

وَمَا

wamaa

and not

تَتۡلُواْ

tatloo

you recite

مِنۡهُ

minhu

of it

مِن

miñ

from

قُرۡءَانٖ

Q̣urʹaaniñw

(the) Quran

وَلَا

Walaa

and not

تَعۡمَلُونَ

taʻmaloona

you do

مِنۡ

min

any

عَمَلٍ

ʻamalin

deed

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

except

كُنَّا

kunnaa

We are

عَلَيۡكُمۡ

ʻalaykum

over you

شُهُودًا

Shuhoodan

witnesses

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

تُفِيضُونَ

tufeeḍoona

you are engaged

فِيهِۚ

feeh.

in it

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And not

يَعۡزُبُ

yaʻzubu

escapes

عَن

ʻar

from

رَّبِّكَ

Rabbika

your Lord

مِن

mim

مِّثۡقَالِ

mis̤q̣aali

(the) weight

ذَرَّةٖ

ẓarratiñ

(of) an atom

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

فِي

fis

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

samaaaʹi

the heavens

وَلَآ

wa-laaa

and not

أَصۡغَرَ

ʹaṣg̣ara

smaller

مِن

miñ

than

ذَٰلِكَ

ẓaalika

that

وَلَآ

wa-laaa

and not

أَكۡبَرَ

ʹakbara

greater

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

but

فِي

fee

(is) in

كِتَٰبٖ

kitaabim

a Record

مُّبِينٍ

Mubeen.

أَلَآ

ʹAlaaa

No doubt

إِنَّ

ʹinna

Indeed

أَوۡلِيَآءَ

ʹAwliyaaaʹal

(the) friends

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(of) Allah

لَا

laa-

(there will be) no

خَوۡفٌ

khawfun

fear

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

ʻalayhim

upon then

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

هُمۡ

hum

they

يَحۡزَنُونَ

yaḥzanoon.

will grieve

٦٢

10:63

ٱلَّذِينَ

ʹAllaẓeena

Those who

ءَامَنُواْ

ʹaamanoo

believe

وَكَانُواْ

wa-kaanoo

and are

يَتَّقُونَ

yattaq̣oon:

conscious (of Allah)

٦٣

10:64

لَهُمُ

Lahumul

For them

ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ

Bushraa

(are) the glad tidings

فِي

fil

ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ

Ḥayaatid

the life

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

dunyaa

(of) the world

وَفِي

wafil

and in

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ

ʹAakhirah:

the Hereafter

لَا

laa-

تَبۡدِيلَ

tabdeela

change

لِكَلِمَٰتِ

li-Kalimaatil

(is there) in the Words

ٱللَّهِۚ

laah.

(of) Allah

ذَٰلِكَ

Ẓaalika

That

هُوَ

huwal

ٱلۡفَوۡزُ

Fawzul

the success

ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

ʻAz̤̣eem.

the great

٦٤

10:65

وَلَا

Wa-laa

And (let) not

يَحۡزُنكَ

yaḥzuñka

grieve you

قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ

q̣awluhum.

their speech

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱلۡعِزَّةَ

ʻizzata

the honor

لِلَّهِ

lillaahi

(belongs) to Allah

جَمِيعًاۚ

jameeʻaa;

all

هُوَ

Huwas

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

Sameeʻul

(is) the All-Hearer

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

ʻAleem.

the All-Knower

٦٥

10:66

أَلَآ

ʹAlaaa

No doubt

إِنَّ

ʹinna

Indeed

لِلَّهِ

lillaahi

to Allah (belongs)

مَن

mañ

whoever

فِي

fis

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

the heavens

وَمَن

wa-mañ

and whoever

فِي

fil

(is) in

ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ

arḍ.

the earth

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And not

يَتَّبِعُ

yattabiʻul

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

يَدۡعُونَ

yadʻoona

invoke

مِن

miñ

other than Allah

دُونِ

doonil

other than Allah

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

other than Allah

شُرَكَآءَۚ

shurakaaaʹ?

partners

إِن

ʹIñy

Not

يَتَّبِعُونَ

yattabiʻoona

they follow

إِلَّا

ʹillaz̤̣

but

ٱلظَّنَّ

z̤̣anna

the assumption

وَإِنۡ

wa-ʹin

and not

هُمۡ

hum

they

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

but

يَخۡرُصُونَ

yakhruṣoon.

guess

10:67

هُوَ

Huwal

ٱلَّذِي

laẓee

(is) the One Who

جَعَلَ

jaʻala

made

لَكُمُ

lakumul

for you

ٱلَّيۡلَ

layla

the night

لِتَسۡكُنُواْ

litaskunoo

that you may rest

فِيهِ

feehi

in it

وَٱلنَّهَارَ

wannahaara

and the day

مُبۡصِرًاۚ

mubṣiraa.

giving visibility

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

فِي

fee

ذَٰلِكَ

ẓaalika

that

لَأٓيَٰتٖ

laʹAayaatil

surely (are) Signs

لِّقَوۡمٖ

liq̣awmiñy

for a people

يَسۡمَعُونَ

yasmaʻoon.

(who) listen

٦٧

10:68

قَالُواْ

Q̣aalut

They say

ٱتَّخَذَ

takhaẓal

Allah has taken

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah has taken

وَلَدٗاۗ

waladaa;

a son

سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ

Subḥaanah!

Glory be to Him

هُوَ

Huwal

ٱلۡغَنِيُّۖ

G̣aniyy!

(is) the Self-sufficient

لَهُۥ

Lahoo

To Him (belongs)

مَا

maa-

whatever

فِي

fis

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

the heavens

وَمَا

wa-maa

and whatever

فِي

fil

(is) in

ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ

ʹarḍ!

the earth

إِنۡ

ʹIn

Not

عِندَكُم

ʻiñdakum

you have

مِّن

miñ

any

سُلۡطَٰنِۭ

sulṭaanim

authority

بِهَٰذَآۚ

bihaaẓaa!

for this

أَتَقُولُونَ

ʹAtaq̣ooloona

Do you say

عَلَى

ʻal

about

ٱللَّهِ

allaahi

Allah

مَا

maa

what

لَا

laa-

not

تَعۡلَمُونَ

taʻlamoon?

you know

٦٨

10:69

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

إِنَّ

innal

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

يَفۡتَرُونَ

yaftaroona

invent

عَلَى

ʻal

against

ٱللَّهِ

allaahil

Allah

ٱلۡكَذِبَ

kaẓiba

the lie

لَا

laa-

they will not succeed

يُفۡلِحُونَ

yufliḥoon.

they will not succeed

٦٩

10:70

مَتَٰعٞ

Mataaʻuñ

An enjoyment

فِي

fid

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

dunyaa

the world

ثُمَّ

s̤umma

then

إِلَيۡنَا

ʹilaynaa

to Us

مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ

marjiʻuhum

(is) their return

ثُمَّ

s̤umma

then

نُذِيقُهُمُ

nuẓeeq̣uhumul

We will make them taste

ٱلۡعَذَابَ

ʻAẓaabash

the punishment

ٱلشَّدِيدَ

shadeeda

the severe

بِمَا

bimaa

because

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they used to

يَكۡفُرُونَ

yakfuroon:

disbelieve
