One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

2:92
۞وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
جَآءَكُم
jaakum
came to you
مُّوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
with [the] clear signs
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱتَّخَذۡتُمُ
ittakhadhtumu
you took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
al-'ij'la
the calf
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهِۦ
ba'dihi
after him
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
and you
ظَٰلِمُونَ
zalimuna
(were) wrongdoers
٩٢
2:93
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
akhadhna
We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ
mithaqakum
your covenant
وَرَفَعۡنَا
warafa'na
and We raised
فَوۡقَكُمُ
fawqakumu
over you
ٱلطُّورَ
al-tura
the mount
خُذُواْ
khudhu
Hold
مَآ
ma
what
ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم
ataynakum
We gave you
بِقُوَّةٖ
biquwwatin
with firmness
وَٱسۡمَعُواْۖ
wa-is'ma'u
and listen
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
سَمِعۡنَا
sami'na
We heard
وَعَصَيۡنَا
wa'asayna
and we disobeyed
وَأُشۡرِبُواْ
wa-ush'ribu
And they were made to drink
فِي
fi
in
قُلُوبِهِمُ
qulubihimu
their hearts
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
al-'ij'la
(love of) the calf
بِكُفۡرِهِمۡۚ
bikuf'rihim
because of their disbelief
قُلۡ
qul
Say
بِئۡسَمَا
bi'sama
Evil (is) that
يَأۡمُرُكُم
yamurukum
orders you (to do) it
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with
إِيمَٰنُكُمۡ
imanukum
your faith
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
mu'minina
believers
٩٣

2:94
قُلۡ
qul
Say
إِن
in
If
كَانَتۡ
kanat
is
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلدَّارُ
al-daru
the home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
al-akhiratu
(of) the Hereafter
عِندَ
inda
with
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
خَالِصَةٗ
khalisatan
exclusively
مِّن
min
from
دُونِ
duni
excluding
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the mankind
فَتَمَنَّوُاْ
fatamannawu
then wish
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
al-mawta
(for) [the] death
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
sadiqina
truthful
٩٤
2:95
وَلَن
walan
And never (will)
يَتَمَنَّوۡهُ
yatamannawhu
they wish for it
أَبَدَۢا
abadan
ever
بِمَا
bima
because
قَدَّمَتۡ
qaddamat
(of what) sent ahead
أَيۡدِيهِمۡۚ
aydihim
their hands
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knower
بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
bil-zalimina
of the wrongdoers
٩٥
2:96
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ
walatajidannahum
And surely you will find them
أَحۡرَصَ
ahrasa
(the) most greedy
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) [the] mankind
عَلَىٰ
ala
for
حَيَوٰةٖ
hayatin
life
وَمِنَ
wamina
and (greedier) than
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أَشۡرَكُواْۚ
ashraku
associate[d] partners (with Allah)
يَوَدُّ
yawaddu
Loves
أَحَدُهُمۡ
ahaduhum
(each) one of them
لَوۡ
law
if
يُعَمَّرُ
yu'ammaru
he could be granted a life
أَلۡفَ
alfa
(of) a thousand
سَنَةٖ
sanatin
year(s)
وَمَا
wama
But not
هُوَ
huwa
it
بِمُزَحۡزِحِهِۦ
bimuzahzihihi
(will) remove him
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
the punishment
أَن
an
that
يُعَمَّرَۗ
yu'ammara
he should be granted life
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
بَصِيرُۢ
basirun
(is) All-Seer
بِمَا
bima
of what
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
they do
٩٦
2:97
قُلۡ
qul
Say
مَن
man
Whoever
كَانَ
kana
is
عَدُوّٗا
aduwwan
an enemy
لِّـجِبۡرِيلَ
lijib'rila
to Jibreel
فَإِنَّهُۥ
fa-innahu
then indeed he
نَزَّلَهُۥ
nazzalahu
brought it down
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
قَلۡبِكَ
qalbika
your heart
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
مُصَدِّقٗا
musaddiqan
confirming
لِّمَا
lima
what
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(was)
يَدَيۡهِ
yadayhi
before it
وَهُدٗى
wahudan
and a guidance
وَبُشۡرَىٰ
wabush'ra
and glad tiding(s)
لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minina
for the believers
٩٧
2:98
مَن
man
Whoever
كَانَ
kana
is
عَدُوّٗا
aduwwan
an enemy
لِّلَّهِ
lillahi
(to) Allah
وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ
wamalaikatihi
and His Angels
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
وَجِبۡرِيلَ
wajib'rila
and Jibreel
وَمِيكَىٰلَ
wamikala
and Meekael
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَدُوّٞ
aduwwun
(is) an enemy
لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
to the disbelievers
٩٨
2:99
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
أَنزَلۡنَآ
anzalna
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
ءَايَٰتِۭ
ayatin
Verses
بَيِّنَٰتٖۖ
bayyinatin
clear
وَمَا
wama
and not
يَكۡفُرُ
yakfuru
disbelieves
بِهَآ
biha
in them
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
al-fasiquna
the defiantly disobedient
٩٩
2:100
أَوَكُلَّمَا
awakullama
And is (it not that) whenever
عَٰهَدُواْ
ahadu
they took
عَهۡدٗا
ahdan
a covenant
نَّبَذَهُۥ
nabadhahu
threw it away
فَرِيقٞ
fariqun
a party
مِّنۡهُمۚ
min'hum
of them
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
aktharuhum
most of them
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
١٠٠
2:101
وَلَمَّا
walamma
And when
جَآءَهُمۡ
jaahum
came to them
رَسُولٞ
rasulun
a Messenger
مِّنۡ
min
(of)
عِندِ
indi
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مُصَدِّقٞ
musaddiqun
confirming
لِّمَا
lima
what
مَعَهُمۡ
ma'ahum
(was) with them
نَبَذَ
nabadha
threw away
فَرِيقٞ
fariqun
a party
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
كِتَٰبَ
kitaba
(the) Book
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَرَآءَ
waraa
behind
ظُهُورِهِمۡ
zuhurihim
their backs
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
ka-annahum
as if they
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know

2:102
وَٱتَّبَعُواْ
wa-ittaba'u
And they followed
مَا
ma
what
تَتۡلُواْ
tatlu
recite(d)
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
al-shayatinu
the devils
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
مُلۡكِ
mul'ki
(the) kingdom
سُلَيۡمَٰنَۖ
sulaymana
(of) Sulaiman
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَفَرَ
kafara
disbelieved
سُلَيۡمَٰنُ
sulaymanu
Sulaiman
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
[and] but
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
al-shayatina
the devils
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
يُعَلِّمُونَ
yu'allimuna
they teach
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
the people
ٱلسِّحۡرَ
al-sih'ra
[the] magic
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
was sent down
عَلَى
ala
to
ٱلۡمَلَكَيۡنِ
al-malakayni
the two angels
بِبَابِلَ
bibabila
in Babylon
هَٰرُوتَ
haruta
Harut
وَمَٰرُوتَۚ
wamaruta
and Marut
وَمَا
wama
And not
يُعَلِّمَانِ
yu'allimani
they both teach
مِنۡ
min
any
أَحَدٍ
ahadin
one
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
unless
يَقُولَآ
yaqula
they [both] say
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
نَحۡنُ
nahnu
we
فِتۡنَةٞ
fit'natun
(are) a trial
فَلَا
fala
so (do) not
تَكۡفُرۡۖ
takfur
disbelieve
فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ
fayata'allamuna
But they learn
مِنۡهُمَا
min'huma
from those two
مَا
ma
what
يُفَرِّقُونَ
yufarriquna
[they] causes separation
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلۡمَرۡءِ
al-mari
the man
وَزَوۡجِهِۦۚ
wazawjihi
and his spouse
وَمَا
wama
And not
هُم
hum
they (could)
بِضَآرِّينَ
bidarrina
at all [be those who] harm
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
مِنۡ
min
any
أَحَدٍ
ahadin
one
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by permission
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ
wayata'allamuna
And they learn
مَا
ma
what
يَضُرُّهُمۡ
yadurruhum
harms them
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَنفَعُهُمۡۚ
yanfa'uhum
profits them
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
عَلِمُواْ
alimu
they knew
لَمَنِ
lamani
that whoever
ٱشۡتَرَىٰهُ
ish'tarahu
buys it
مَا
ma
not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
مِنۡ
min
any
خَلَٰقٖۚ
khalaqin
share
وَلَبِئۡسَ
walabi'sa
And surely evil
مَا
ma
(is) what
شَرَوۡاْ
sharaw
they sold
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with it
أَنفُسَهُمۡۚ
anfusahum
themselves
لَوۡ
law
if
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
(to) know
١٠٢
2:103
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
أَنَّهُمۡ
annahum
[that] they
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
(had) believed
وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ
wa-ittaqaw
and feared (Allah)
لَمَثُوبَةٞ
lamathubatun
surely (the) reward
مِّنۡ
min
(of)
عِندِ
indi
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
خَيۡرٞۚ
khayrun
(would have been) better
لَّوۡ
law
if
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
(to) know
١٠٣
2:104
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَقُولُواْ
taqulu
say
رَٰعِنَا
ra'ina
Raina
وَقُولُواْ
waqulu
and say
ٱنظُرۡنَا
unzur'na
Unzurna
وَٱسۡمَعُواْۗ
wa-is'ma'u
and listen
وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
walil'kafirina
And for the disbelievers
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
١٠٤
2:105
مَّا
ma
(Do) not
يَوَدُّ
yawaddu
like
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve
مِنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
وَلَا
wala
and not
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
those who associate partners (with Allah)
أَن
an
that
يُنَزَّلَ
yunazzala
(there should) be sent down
عَلَيۡكُم
alaykum
to you
مِّنۡ
min
any
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۚ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَخۡتَصُّ
yakhtassu
chooses
بِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ
birahmatihi
for His Mercy
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
ذُو
dhu
(is the) Possessor
ٱلۡفَضۡلِ
al-fadli
(of) [the] Bounty
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
al-'azimi
[the] Great
١٠٥
