6:13

۞وَلَهُۥ

Walahoo

And for Him

مَا

maa-

(is) whatever

سَكَنَ

sakana

dwells

فِي

fil

ٱلَّيۡلِ

lay-li

the night

وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ

wan-nahaar.

and the day

وَهُوَ

Wa-Huwas

and He

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

Sameeʻul

(is) All-Hearing

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

ʻAleem.

All-Knowing

١٣

6:14

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

أَغَيۡرَ

ʹag̣ayral

Is it other than

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

أَتَّخِذُ

ʹattakhiẓu

I (should) take

وَلِيّٗا

waliyyañ

(as) a protector

فَاطِرِ

Faaṭiris

Creator

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

(of) the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

wal-ʹarḍi

and the earth

وَهُوَ

wa-Huwa

while (it is) He

يُطۡعِمُ

yuṭʻimu

Who feeds

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

يُطۡعَمُۗ

yuṭʻam.

He is fed

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

إِنِّيٓ

ʹinneee

Indeed I

أُمِرۡتُ

ʹumirtu

[I] am commanded

أَنۡ

ʹan

that

أَكُونَ

ʹakoona

I be

أَوَّلَ

ʹawwala

(the) first

مَنۡ

man

who

أَسۡلَمَۖ

ʹaslama

submits (to Allah)

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

تَكُونَنَّ

takoonanna

مِنَ

minal

ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

mushrikeen.

the polytheists

١٤

6:15

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

إِنِّيٓ

ʹinneee

Indeed I

أَخَافُ

ʹakhaafu

[I] fear

إِنۡ

ʹin

عَصَيۡتُ

ʻaṣaytu

I disobeyed

رَبِّي

Rabbee

my Lord

عَذَابَ

ʻaẓaaba

punishment

يَوۡمٍ

Yawmin

(of) a Day

عَظِيمٖ

ʻAz̤̣eem.

Mighty

١٥

6:16

مَّن

Mañy

Whoever

يُصۡرَفۡ

yuṣraf

is averted

عَنۡهُ

ʻanhu

from it

يَوۡمَئِذٖ

yawmaʹiẓin

that Day

فَقَدۡ

faq̣ad

then surely

رَحِمَهُۥۚ

raḥimah;

He had Mercy on him

وَذَٰلِكَ

waẓaalikal

And that

ٱلۡفَوۡزُ

fawzul

(is) the success

ٱلۡمُبِينُ

mubeen.

(the) clear

١٦

6:17

وَإِن

Wa-ʹiñy

And if

يَمۡسَسۡكَ

yam-saskal

touches you

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah

بِضُرّٖ

biḍurriñ

with affliction

فَلَا

falaa

then no

كَاشِفَ

kaashifa

remover

لَهُۥٓ

lahooo

of it

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

except

هُوَۖ

Hoo:

Him

وَإِن

wa-ʹiñy

And if

يَمۡسَسۡكَ

yam-saska

He touches you

بِخَيۡرٖ

bikhayriñ

with good

فَهُوَ

fa-Huwa

then He

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

(is) on

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَيۡءٖ

shayʹiñ

thing

قَدِيرٞ

Q̣adeer.

All-Powerful

١٧

6:18

وَهُوَ

Wa-huwal

And He

ٱلۡقَاهِرُ

Q̣aahiru

(is) the Subjugator

فَوۡقَ

fawq̣a

over

عِبَادِهِۦۚ

ʻibaadih;

His slaves

وَهُوَ

wa-Huwal

And He

ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Ḥakeemul

(is) the All-Wise

ٱلۡخَبِيرُ

Khabeer.

the All-Aware

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

أَيُّ

ʹayyu

What

شَيۡءٍ

shayʹin

thing

أَكۡبَرُ

ʹakbaru

(is) greatest

شَهَٰدَةٗۖ

shahaadah?

(as) a testimony

قُلِ

Q̣ulil

Say

ٱللَّهُۖ

laahu

Allah

شَهِيدُۢ

shaheedum

(is) Witness

بَيۡنِي

baynee

between me

وَبَيۡنَكُمۡۚ

wa-baynakum,

and between you

وَأُوحِيَ

wa-ʹooḥiya

and has been revealed

إِلَيَّ

ʹilayya

to me

هَٰذَا

haaẓal

this

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ

Q̣urʹaanu

[the] Quran

لِأُنذِرَكُم

liʹuñẓirakum̃

that I may warn you

بِهِۦ

bihee

with it

وَمَنۢ

wa-mam

and whoever

بَلَغَۚ

balag̣.

it reaches

أَئِنَّكُمۡ

ʹAʹinnakum

Do you truly

لَتَشۡهَدُونَ

latashhadoona

testify

أَنَّ

ʹanna

that

مَعَ

maʻal

with

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

ءَالِهَةً

ʹaalihatan

(there are) gods

أُخۡرَىٰۚ

ʹukhraa?

other

قُل

Q̣ul

Say

لَّآ

laaa

Not

أَشۡهَدُۚ

ʹashhad!

(do) I testify

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

إِنَّمَا

ʹinnamaa

Only

هُوَ

Huwa

إِلَٰهٞ

ʹIlaahuñw

(is) God

وَٰحِدٞ

Waaḥiduñw

One

وَإِنَّنِي

wa-ʹinnanee

and indeed I am

بَرِيٓءٞ

bareeeʹum

free

مِّمَّا

mimmaa

of what

تُشۡرِكُونَ

tushrikoon.

you associate (with Him)

١٩

6:20

ٱلَّذِينَ

Allaẓeena

Those (to) whom

ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ

ʹaataynaahumul

We have given them

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

Kitaaba

the Book

يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ

yaʻrifoonahoo

they recognize him

كَمَا

kamaa

يَعۡرِفُونَ

yaʻrifoona

they recognize

أَبۡنَآءَهُمُۘ

ʹabnaaaʹahum.

their sons

ٱلَّذِينَ

ʹAllaẓeena

Those who

خَسِرُوٓاْ

khasirooo

lost

أَنفُسَهُمۡ

ʹañfusahum

themselves

فَهُمۡ

fahum

then they

لَا

laa-

(do) not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yuʹminoon.

believe

٢٠

6:21

وَمَنۡ

Wa-man

And who

أَظۡلَمُ

ʹaz̤̣lamu

(is) more unjust

مِمَّنِ

mim-manif

than (he) who

ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

taraa

invents

عَلَى

ʻalal

against

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

كَذِبًا

kaẓiban

a lie

أَوۡ

ʹaw

كَذَّبَ

kaẓẓaba

rejects

بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ

biʹAayaatih?

His Signs

إِنَّهُۥ

ʹInnahoo

Indeed

لَا

laa-

not

يُفۡلِحُ

yufliḥuz̤̣

will be successful

ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

z̤̣aalimoon.

the wrongdoers

٢١

6:22

وَيَوۡمَ

Wa-yawma

And (the) Day

نَحۡشُرُهُمۡ

naḥ-shuruhum

We will gather them

جَمِيعٗا

jameeʻañ

all

ثُمَّ

s̤umma

then

نَقُولُ

naq̣oolu

We will say

لِلَّذِينَ

lil-laẓeena

to those who

أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ

ʹashrakooo

associated others with Allah

أَيۡنَ

ʹayna

Where (are)

شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ

shurakaaaʹukumul

your partners

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those whom

كُنتُمۡ

kuñtum

you used to

تَزۡعُمُونَ

tazʻumoon.

claim

٢٢

6:23

ثُمَّ

S̤umma

Then

لَمۡ

lam

not

تَكُن

takuñ

will be

فِتۡنَتُهُمۡ

fitnatuhum

(for) them a plea

إِلَّآ

ʹillaaa

except

أَن

ʹañ

that

قَالُواْ

q̣aaloo

they say

وَٱللَّهِ

wallaahi

By Allah

رَبِّنَا

Rabbina

our Lord

مَا

maa-

not

كُنَّا

kunnaa

we were

مُشۡرِكِينَ

mushrikeen.

those who associated others (with Allah)

٢٣

6:24

ٱنظُرۡ

ʹUñz̤̣ur

Look

كَيۡفَ

kayfa

how

كَذَبُواْ

kaẓaboo

they lied

عَلَىٰٓ

ʻalaaa

against

أَنفُسِهِمۡۚ

ʹañfusihim

themselves

وَضَلَّ

wa-ḍalla

And lost

عَنۡهُم

ʻanhum

from them

مَّا

maa

what

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they used to

يَفۡتَرُونَ

yaftaroon.

invent

٢٤

6:25

وَمِنۡهُم

Wa-minhum

And among them

مَّن

mañy

(are those) who

يَسۡتَمِعُ

yastamiʻu

listen

إِلَيۡكَۖ

ʹilayk;

to you

وَجَعَلۡنَا

wa-jaʻalnaa

but We have placed

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

over

قُلُوبِهِمۡ

q̣uloobihim

their hearts

أَكِنَّةً

ʹakinnatan

coverings

أَن

ʹañy

lest

يَفۡقَهُوهُ

yafq̣ahoohu

they understand it

وَفِيٓ

wa-feee

and in

ءَاذَانِهِمۡ

ʹaaẓaanihim

their ears

وَقۡرٗاۚ

waq̣raa;

deafness

وَإِن

wa-ʹiñy

And if

يَرَوۡاْ

yaraw

they see

كُلَّ

kulla

every

ءَايَةٖ

ʹAayatil

sign

لَّا

laa

not

يُؤۡمِنُواْ

yuʹminoo

will they believe

بِهَاۖ

bihaa:

in it

حَتَّىٰٓ

ḥattaaa

Until

إِذَا

ʹiẓaa

when

جَآءُوكَ

jaaaʹooka

they come to you

يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ

yujaadiloonaka

and argue with you

يَقُولُ

yaq̣oolul

say

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

كَفَرُوٓاْ

kafarooo

disbelieved

إِنۡ

ʹin

Not

هَٰذَآ

haaẓaaa

(is) this

إِلَّآ

ʹillaaa

but

أَسَٰطِيرُ

ʹasaaṭeerul

(the) tales

ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

ʹawwaleen.

(of) the former (people)

٢٥

6:26

وَهُمۡ

Wa-hum

And they

يَنۡهَوۡنَ

yan-hawna

forbid (others)

عَنۡهُ

ʻanhu

from it

وَيَنۡـَٔوۡنَ

wa-yanʹawna

and they keep away

عَنۡهُۖ

ʻanh:

from it

وَإِن

wa-ʹiñy

And not

يُهۡلِكُونَ

yuh-likoona

they destroy

إِلَّآ

ʹillaaa

except

أَنفُسَهُمۡ

ʹañfusahum

themselves

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

يَشۡعُرُونَ

yashʻuroon.

they perceive

٢٦

6:27

وَلَوۡ

Wa-law

And if

تَرَىٰٓ

taraaa

you (could) see

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

وُقِفُواْ

wuq̣ifoo

they are made to stand

عَلَى

ʻalan

ٱلنَّارِ

Naari

the Fire

فَقَالُواْ

faq̣aaloo

then they (will) say

يَٰلَيۡتَنَا

yaa-laytanaa

Oh! Would that we

نُرَدُّ

nuraddu

were sent back

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

نُكَذِّبَ

nukaẓẓiba

we would deny

بِـَٔايَٰتِ

biʹAayaati

(the) Signs

رَبِّنَا

Rabbinaa

(of) our Lord

وَنَكُونَ

wa-nakoona

and we would be

مِنَ

minal

among

ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Muʹmineen!

the believers

٢٧

6:28

بَلۡ

Bal

Nay

بَدَا

badaa

became manifest

لَهُم

lahum

for them

مَّا

maa

what

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they used to

يُخۡفُونَ

yukhfoona

conceal

مِن

miñ

from

قَبۡلُۖ

q̣abl.

before

وَلَوۡ

Wa-law

And if

رُدُّواْ

ruddoo

they were sent back

لَعَادُواْ

laʻaadoo

certainly they (would) return

لِمَا

limaa

to what

نُهُواْ

nuhoo

they were forbidden

عَنۡهُ

ʻanhu

from it

وَإِنَّهُمۡ

wa-ʹinnahum

and indeed they

لَكَٰذِبُونَ

lakaaẓiboon.

certainly are liars

٢٨

6:29

وَقَالُوٓاْ

Wa-q̣aalooo

And they said

إِنۡ

ʹin

Not

هِيَ

hiya

it (is)

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

except

حَيَاتُنَا

ḥayaatunad

our life

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

dunyaa

(of) the world

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

نَحۡنُ

naḥnu

بِمَبۡعُوثِينَ

bimabʻoos̤een.

(will be) resurrected

٢٩

6:30

وَلَوۡ

Wa-law

And if

تَرَىٰٓ

taraaa

you (could) see

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

وُقِفُواْ

wuq̣ifoo

they will be made to stand

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

before

رَبِّهِمۡۚ

Rabbihim!

their Lord

قَالَ

q̣aala

He (will) say

أَلَيۡسَ

ʹalaysa

Is not

هَٰذَا

haaẓaa

this

بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ

bilḥaq̣q̣?

the truth

قَالُواْ

Q̣aaloo

They will say

بَلَىٰ

balaa

Yes

وَرَبِّنَاۚ

wa-Rabbinaa!

by our Lord

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He (will) say

فَذُوقُواْ

faẓooq̣ul

So taste

ٱلۡعَذَابَ

ʻaẓaaba

the punishment

بِمَا

bimaa

because

كُنتُمۡ

kuñtum

you used to

تَكۡفُرُونَ

takfuroon.

disbelieve

٣٠

6:31

قَدۡ

Q̣ad

Indeed

خَسِرَ

khasiral

incurred loss

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

كَذَّبُواْ

kaẓẓaboo

denied

بِلِقَآءِ

bi-liq̣aaaʹil

in (the) meeting

ٱللَّهِۖ

laah,―

(with) Allah

حَتَّىٰٓ

ḥattaaa

until

إِذَا

ʹiẓaa

when

جَآءَتۡهُمُ

jaaaʹathumus

came to them

ٱلسَّاعَةُ

Saaʻatu

the Hour

بَغۡتَةٗ

bag̣tatañ

suddenly

قَالُواْ

q̣aaloo

they said

يَٰحَسۡرَتَنَا

yaa-ḥasratanaa

Oh! Our regret

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

over

مَا

maa-

what

فَرَّطۡنَا

farraṭnaa

we neglected

فِيهَا

feehaa

concerning it

وَهُمۡ

wa-hum

while they

يَحۡمِلُونَ

yaḥ-miloona

will bear

أَوۡزَارَهُمۡ

ʹawzaarahum

their burdens

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

ظُهُورِهِمۡۚ

z̤̣uhoorihim.

their backs

أَلَا

ʹAlaa

Unquestionably

سَآءَ

saaaʹa

Evil

مَا

maa-

(is) what

يَزِرُونَ

yaziroon!

they bear

٣١

6:32

وَمَا

Wa-mal

And not

ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ

ḥayaatud

(is) the life

ٱلدُّنۡيَآ

dunyaaa

(of) the world

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

except

لَعِبٞ

laʻibuñw

a play

وَلَهۡوٞۖ

walahw?

and amusement

وَلَلدَّارُ

Wa-lad-Daarul

but the home

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ

ʹAakhiratu

(of) the Hereafter

خَيۡرٞ

khayrul

(is) best

لِّلَّذِينَ

lillaẓeena

for those who

يَتَّقُونَۚ

yattaq̣oon.

(are) God conscious

أَفَلَا

ʹAfalaa

Then not

تَعۡقِلُونَ

taʻq̣iloon?

(will) you reason

٣٢

6:33

قَدۡ

Q̣ad

Indeed

نَعۡلَمُ

naʻlamu

We know

إِنَّهُۥ

innahoo

that it

لَيَحۡزُنُكَ

layaḥzunukal

grieves you

ٱلَّذِي

laẓee

what

يَقُولُونَۖ

yaq̣ooloona

they say

فَإِنَّهُمۡ

faʹinnahum

And indeed they

لَا

laa-

(do) not

يُكَذِّبُونَكَ

yukaẓẓiboonaka

deny you

وَلَٰكِنَّ

wa-laakinnaz̤̣

but

ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

z̤̣aalimeena

the wrongdoers

بِـَٔايَٰتِ

biʹAayaatil

the Verses

ٱللَّهِ

lahi

(of) Allah

يَجۡحَدُونَ

yaj-ḥadoon.

they reject

٣٣

6:34

وَلَقَدۡ

Wa-laq̣ad

And surely

كُذِّبَتۡ

kuẓẓibat

were rejected

رُسُلٞ

Rusulum

Messengers

مِّن

miñ

from

قَبۡلِكَ

q̣ablika

before you

فَصَبَرُواْ

faṣabaroo

but they were patient

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

over

مَا

maa-

what

كُذِّبُواْ

kuẓẓiboo

they were rejected

وَأُوذُواْ

wa-ʹooẓoo

and they were harmed

حَتَّىٰٓ

ḥattaaa

until

أَتَىٰهُمۡ

ʹataahum

came to them

نَصۡرُنَاۚ

naṣrunaa.

Our help

وَلَا

Wa-laa

And no

مُبَدِّلَ

mubaddila

one (can) alter

لِكَلِمَٰتِ

li-Kalimaatil

(the) words

ٱللَّهِۚ

laah.

(of) Allah

وَلَقَدۡ

Wa-laq̣ad

and surely

جَآءَكَ

jaaʹaka

has come to you

مِن

min

نَّبَإِيْ

nabaʹil

(the) news

ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

Mursaleen.

(of) the Messengers

٣٤

6:35

وَإِن

Wa-ʹiñ

And if

كَانَ

kaana

كَبُرَ

kabura

difficult

عَلَيۡكَ

ʻalayka

for you

إِعۡرَاضُهُمۡ

ʹiʻraaḍuhum

their aversion

فَإِنِ

faʹinis

then if

ٱسۡتَطَعۡتَ

taṭaʻta

you are able

أَن

ʹañ

تَبۡتَغِيَ

tabtag̣iya

seek

نَفَقٗا

nafaq̣añ

a tunnel

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

أَوۡ

ʹaw

سُلَّمٗا

sullamañ

a ladder

فِي

fis

into

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

samaaaʹi

the sky

فَتَأۡتِيَهُم

fataʹtiyahum̃

so that you bring to them

بِـَٔايَةٖۚ

biʹAayah.

a Sign

وَلَوۡ

Wa-law

But if

شَآءَ

shaaʹal

(had) willed

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah

لَجَمَعَهُمۡ

lajamaʻahum

surely He (would) have gathered them

عَلَى

ʻalal

ٱلۡهُدَىٰۚ

hudaa

the guidance

فَلَا

falaa

So (do) not

تَكُونَنَّ

takoonanna

مِنَ

minal

ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ

jaahileen!

the ignorant
