2:75
۞أَفَتَطۡمَعُونَ
afatatma'una
Do you hope
أَن
an
that
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yu'minu
they will believe
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[for] you
وَقَدۡ
waqad
while indeed
كَانَ
kana
(there) has been
فَرِيقٞ
fariqun
a party
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasma'una
(who used to) hear
كَلَٰمَ
kalama
(the) words
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُحَرِّفُونَهُۥ
yuharrifunahu
they distort it
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
عَقَلُوهُ
aqaluhu
they understood it
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٧٥
2:76
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
لَقُواْ
laqu
they meet
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
they say
ءَامَنَّا
amanna
We have believed
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
But when
خَلَا
khala
meet in private
بَعۡضُهُمۡ
ba'duhum
some of them
إِلَىٰ
ila
with
بَعۡضٖ
ba'din
some (others)
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
they say
أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم
atuhaddithunahum
Do you tell them
بِمَا
bima
what
فَتَحَ
fataha
has
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
لِيُحَآجُّوكُم
liyuhajjukum
so that they argue with you
بِهِۦ
bihi
therewith
عِندَ
inda
before
رَبِّكُمۡۚ
rabbikum
your Lord
أَفَلَا
afala
Then do (you) not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
understand
٧٦

2:77
أَوَلَا
awala
Do not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
they know
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
knows
مَا
ma
what
يُسِرُّونَ
yusirruna
they conceal
وَمَا
wama
and what
يُعۡلِنُونَ
yu'linuna
they declare
٧٧
2:78
وَمِنۡهُمۡ
wamin'hum
And among them
أُمِّيُّونَ
ummiyyuna
(are) unlettered ones
لَا
la
(who) do not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the book
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَمَانِيَّ
amaniyya
wishful thinking
وَإِنۡ
wa-in
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
إِلَّا
illa
(do anything) except
يَظُنُّونَ
yazunnuna
guess
٧٨
2:79
فَوَيۡلٞ
fawaylun
So woe
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
يَكۡتُبُونَ
yaktubuna
write
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the book
بِأَيۡدِيهِمۡ
bi-aydihim
with their (own) hands
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
they say
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
مِنۡ
min
(is)
عِندِ
indi
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
لِيَشۡتَرُواْ
liyashtaru
to barter
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
ثَمَنٗا
thamanan
(for) a price
قَلِيلٗاۖ
qalilan
little
فَوَيۡلٞ
fawaylun
So woe
لَّهُم
lahum
to them
مِّمَّا
mimma
for what
كَتَبَتۡ
katabat
have written
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
aydihim
their hands
وَوَيۡلٞ
wawaylun
and woe
لَّهُم
lahum
to them
مِّمَّا
mimma
for what
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksibuna
they earn
٧٩
2:80
وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they say
لَن
lan
Never
تَمَسَّنَا
tamassana
will touch us
ٱلنَّارُ
al-naru
the Fire
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَيَّامٗا
ayyaman
(for) days
مَّعۡدُودَةٗۚ
ma'dudatan
numbered
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَتَّخَذۡتُمۡ
attakhadhtum
Have you taken
عِندَ
inda
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
عَهۡدٗا
ahdan
a covenant
فَلَن
falan
so never
يُخۡلِفَ
yukh'lifa
will break
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَهۡدَهُۥٓۖ
ahdahu
His Covenant
أَمۡ
am
Or
تَقُولُونَ
taquluna
(do) you say
عَلَى
ala
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَا
la
not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
you know
٨٠
2:81
بَلَىٰۚ
bala
Yes
مَن
man
whoever
كَسَبَ
kasaba
earned
سَيِّئَةٗ
sayyi-atan
evil
وَأَحَٰطَتۡ
wa-ahatat
and surrounded him
بِهِۦ
bihi
with
خَطِيٓـَٔتُهُۥ
khatiatuhu
his sins
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
[so] those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
٨١
2:82
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ
al-janati
(of) Paradise
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
٨٢
2:83
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
akhadhna
We took
مِيثَٰقَ
mithaqa
(the) covenant
بَنِيٓ
bani
(from the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(of) Israel
لَا
la
Not
تَعۡبُدُونَ
ta'buduna
you will worship
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
wabil-walidayni
and with [the] parents
إِحۡسَانٗا
ih'sanan
(be) good
وَذِي
wadhi
and (with)
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ
al-qur'ba
relatives
وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
wal-yatama
and [the] orphans
وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ
wal-masakini
and the needy
وَقُولُواْ
waqulu
and speak
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
to [the] people
حُسۡنٗا
hus'nan
good
وَأَقِيمُواْ
wa-aqimu
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
al-salata
the prayer
وَءَاتُواْ
waatu
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
al-zakata
the zakah
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ
tawallaytum
you turned away
إِلَّا
illa
except
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a few
مِّنكُمۡ
minkum
of you
وَأَنتُم
wa-antum
and you (were)
مُّعۡرِضُونَ
mu'riduna
refusing
٨٣

2:84
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
akhadhna
We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ
mithaqakum
your covenant
لَا
la
Not
تَسۡفِكُونَ
tasfikuna
will you shed
دِمَآءَكُمۡ
dimaakum
your blood
وَلَا
wala
and not
تُخۡرِجُونَ
tukh'rijuna
(will) evict
أَنفُسَكُم
anfusakum
yourselves
مِّن
min
from
دِيَٰرِكُمۡ
diyarikum
your homes
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
أَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ
aqrartum
you ratified
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
while you
تَشۡهَدُونَ
tashhaduna
(were) witnessing
٨٤
2:85
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haulai
(are) those
تَقۡتُلُونَ
taqtuluna
(who) kill
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
anfusakum
yourselves
وَتُخۡرِجُونَ
watukh'rijuna
and evict
فَرِيقٗا
fariqan
a party
مِّنكُم
minkum
of you
مِّن
min
from
دِيَٰرِهِمۡ
diyarihim
their homes
تَظَٰهَرُونَ
tazaharuna
you support one another
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
against them
بِٱلۡإِثۡمِ
bil-ith'mi
in sin
وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِ
wal-'ud'wani
and [the] transgression
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَأۡتُوكُمۡ
yatukum
they come to you
أُسَٰرَىٰ
usara
(as) captives
تُفَٰدُوهُمۡ
tufaduhum
you ransom them
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while it
مُحَرَّمٌ
muharramun
(was) forbidden
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
إِخۡرَاجُهُمۡۚ
ikh'rajuhum
their eviction
أَفَتُؤۡمِنُونَ
afatu'minuna
So do you believe
بِبَعۡضِ
biba'di
in part (of)
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
the Book
وَتَكۡفُرُونَ
watakfuruna
and disbelieve
بِبَعۡضٖۚ
biba'din
in part
فَمَا
fama
Then what
جَزَآءُ
jazau
(should be the) recompense
مَن
man
(for the one) who
يَفۡعَلُ
yaf 'alu
does
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
إِلَّا
illa
except
خِزۡيٞ
khiz'yun
disgrace
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
of [the] Resurrection
يُرَدُّونَ
yuradduna
they will be sent back
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
to
أَشَدِّ
ashaddi
(the) most severe
ٱلۡعَذَابِۗ
al-'adhabi
punishment
وَمَا
wama
And not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
bighafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
amma
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
٨٥
2:86
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(are) the ones who
ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ
ish'tarawu
bought
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
al-hayata
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ
bil-akhirati
for the Hereafter
فَلَا
fala
so not
يُخَفَّفُ
yukhaffafu
will be lightened
عَنۡهُمُ
anhumu
for them
ٱلۡعَذَابُ
al-'adhabu
the punishment
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
will be helped
٨٦
2:87
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
وَقَفَّيۡنَا
waqaffayna
and We followed up
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهِۦ
ba'dihi
after him
بِٱلرُّسُلِۖ
bil-rusuli
with [the] Messengers
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
waatayna
And We gave
عِيسَى
isa
Isa
ٱبۡنَ
ib'na
(the) son
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
(of) Maryam
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
al-bayinati
[the] clear signs
وَأَيَّدۡنَٰهُ
wa-ayyadnahu
and We supported him
بِرُوحِ
biruhi
(with)
ٱلۡقُدُسِۗ
al-qudusi
the Holy Spirit
أَفَكُلَّمَا
afakullama
Is it (not) so (that) whenever
جَآءَكُمۡ
jaakum
came to you
رَسُولُۢ
rasulun
a Messenger
بِمَا
bima
with what
لَا
la
(does) not
تَهۡوَىٰٓ
tahwa
desire
أَنفُسُكُمُ
anfusukumu
yourselves
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ
is'takbartum
you acted arrogantly
فَفَرِيقٗا
fafariqan
So a party
كَذَّبۡتُمۡ
kadhabtum
you denied
وَفَرِيقٗا
wafariqan
and a party
تَقۡتُلُونَ
taqtuluna
you kill(ed)
٨٧
2:88
وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they said
قُلُوبُنَا
qulubuna
Our hearts
غُلۡفُۢۚ
ghul'fun
(are) wrapped
بَل
bal
Nay
لَّعَنَهُمُ
la'anahumu
has cursed them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ
bikuf'rihim
for their disbelief
فَقَلِيلٗا
faqalilan
so little
مَّا
ma
(is) what
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
they believe
٨٨

2:89
وَلَمَّا
walamma
And when
جَآءَهُمۡ
jaahum
came to them
كِتَٰبٞ
kitabun
a Book
مِّنۡ
min
of
عِندِ
indi
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مُصَدِّقٞ
musaddiqun
confirming
لِّمَا
lima
what (was)
مَعَهُمۡ
ma'ahum
with them
وَكَانُواْ
wakanu
though they used to
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
يَسۡتَفۡتِحُونَ
yastaftihuna
(that) pray for victory
عَلَى
ala
over
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
فَلَمَّا
falamma
then when
جَآءَهُم
jaahum
came to them
مَّا
ma
what
عَرَفُواْ
arafu
they recognized
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
they disbelieved
بِهِۦۚ
bihi
in it
فَلَعۡنَةُ
fala'natu
So (the) curse
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَى
ala
(is) on
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
the disbelievers
٨٩
2:90
بِئۡسَمَا
bi'sama
Evil (is) that
ٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ
ish'taraw
(for) which they have sold
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
anfusahum
themselves
أَن
an
that
يَكۡفُرُواْ
yakfuru
they disbelieve
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أَنزَلَ
anzala
has revealed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بَغۡيًا
baghyan
grudging
أَن
an
that
يُنَزِّلَ
yunazzila
sends down
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
مِن
min
of
فَضۡلِهِۦ
fadlihi
His Grace
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
مِنۡ
min
from
عِبَادِهِۦۖ
ibadihi
His servants
فَبَآءُو
fabau
So they have drawn (on themselves)
بِغَضَبٍ
bighadabin
wrath
عَلَىٰ
ala
upon
غَضَبٖۚ
ghadabin
wrath
وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
walil'kafirina
And for the disbelievers
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٞ
muhinun
humiliating
٩٠
2:91
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
قِيلَ
qila
it is said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
ءَامِنُواْ
aminu
Believe
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أَنزَلَ
anzala
has revealed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
قَالُواْ
qalu
they say
نُؤۡمِنُ
nu'minu
We believe
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
was revealed
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
to us
وَيَكۡفُرُونَ
wayakfuruna
And they disbelieve
بِمَا
bima
in what
وَرَآءَهُۥ
waraahu
(is) besides it
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while it
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
(is) the truth
مُصَدِّقٗا
musaddiqan
confirming
لِّمَا
lima
what
مَعَهُمۡۗ
ma'ahum
(is) with them
قُلۡ
qul
Say
فَلِمَ
falima
Then why
تَقۡتُلُونَ
taqtuluna
(did) you kill
أَنۢبِيَآءَ
anbiyaa
(the) Prophets
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you were
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
mu'minina
believers
٩١
