۞لَّا
la
(Does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
love
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلۡجَهۡرَ
al-jahra
the public mention
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
bil-sui
of [the] evil
مِنَ
mina
[of]
ٱلۡقَوۡلِ
al-qawli
[the] words
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَن
man
(by the one) who
ظُلِمَۚ
zulima
has been wronged
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
سَمِيعًا
sami'an
All-Hearing
عَلِيمًا
aliman
All-Knowing
١٤٨
4:149
إِن
in
If
تُبۡدُواْ
tub'du
you disclose
خَيۡرًا
khayran
a good
أَوۡ
aw
or
تُخۡفُوهُ
tukh'fuhu
you conceal it
أَوۡ
aw
or
تَعۡفُواْ
ta'fu
pardon
عَن
an
[of]
سُوٓءٖ
suin
an evil
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kana
is
عَفُوّٗا
afuwwan
Oft-Pardoning
قَدِيرًا
qadiran
All-Powerful
١٤٩
4:150
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَكۡفُرُونَ
yakfuruna
disbelieve
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
وَيُرِيدُونَ
wayuriduna
and they wish
أَن
an
that
يُفَرِّقُواْ
yufarriqu
they differentiate
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
and they say
نُؤۡمِنُ
nu'minu
We believe
بِبَعۡضٖ
biba'din
in some
وَنَكۡفُرُ
wanakfuru
and we disbelieve
بِبَعۡضٖ
biba'din
in others
وَيُرِيدُونَ
wayuriduna
And they wish
أَن
an
that
يَتَّخِذُواْ
yattakhidhu
they take
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
سَبِيلًا
sabilan
a way
١٥٠
4:151
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
هُمُ
humu
they
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
al-kafiruna
(are) the disbelievers
حَقّٗاۚ
haqqan
truly
وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا
wa-a'tadna
And We have prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
for the disbelievers
عَذَابٗا
adhaban
a punishment
مُّهِينٗا
muhinan
humiliating
١٥١
4:152
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يُفَرِّقُواْ
yufarriqu
they differentiate
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
أَحَدٖ
ahadin
(any) one
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
سَوۡفَ
sawfa
soon
يُؤۡتِيهِمۡ
yu'tihim
He will give them
أُجُورَهُمۡۚ
ujurahum
their reward
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
غَفُورٗا
ghafuran
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
rahiman
Most Merciful
١٥٢
4:153
يَسۡـَٔلُكَ
yasaluka
Ask you
أَهۡلُ
ahlu
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
أَن
an
that
تُنَزِّلَ
tunazzila
you bring down
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
كِتَٰبٗا
kitaban
a book
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ
al-samai
the heaven
فَقَدۡ
faqad
Then indeed
سَأَلُواْ
sa-alu
they (had) asked
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Musa
أَكۡبَرَ
akbara
greater
مِن
min
than
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
فَقَالُوٓاْ
faqalu
for they said
أَرِنَا
arina
Show us
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
جَهۡرَةٗ
jahratan
manifestly
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
fa-akhadhathumu
so struck them
ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ
al-sa'iqatu
the thunderbolt
بِظُلۡمِهِمۡۚ
bizul'mihim
for their wrongdoing
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
ittakhadhu
they took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
al-'ij'la
the calf (for worship)
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَتۡهُمُ
jaathumu
came to them
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
al-bayinatu
the clear proofs
فَعَفَوۡنَا
fa'afawna
then We forgave them
عَن
an
for
ذَٰلِكَۚ
dhalika
that
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
waatayna
And We gave
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
سُلۡطَٰنٗا
sul'tanan
an authority
مُّبِينٗا
mubinan
clear
١٥٣
4:154
وَرَفَعۡنَا
warafa'na
And We raised
فَوۡقَهُمُ
fawqahumu
over them
ٱلطُّورَ
al-tura
the mount
بِمِيثَٰقِهِمۡ
bimithaqihim
for their covenant
وَقُلۡنَا
waqul'na
and We said
لَهُمُ
lahumu
to them
ٱدۡخُلُواْ
ud'khulu
Enter
ٱلۡبَابَ
al-baba
the gate
سُجَّدٗا
sujjadan
prostrating
وَقُلۡنَا
waqul'na
And We said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَعۡدُواْ
ta'du
transgress
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّبۡتِ
al-sabti
the Sabbath
وَأَخَذۡنَا
wa-akhadhna
And We took
مِنۡهُم
min'hum
from them
مِّيثَٰقًا
mithaqan
a covenant
غَلِيظٗا
ghalizan
solemn
١٥٤

4:155
فَبِمَا
fabima
Then because of
نَقۡضِهِم
naqdihim
their breaking
مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ
mithaqahum
(of) their covenant
وَكُفۡرِهِم
wakuf'rihim
and their disbelief
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biayati
in (the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَقَتۡلِهِمُ
waqatlihimu
and their killing
ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ
al-anbiyaa
(of) the Prophets
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
حَقّٖ
haqqin
any right
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
waqawlihim
and their saying
قُلُوبُنَا
qulubuna
Our hearts
غُلۡفُۢۚ
ghul'fun
(are) wrapped
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
طَبَعَ
taba'a
(has) set a seal
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
on their (hearts)
بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ
bikuf'rihim
for their disbelief
فَلَا
fala
so not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
they believe
إِلَّا
illa
except
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a few
١٥٥
4:156
وَبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ
wabikuf'rihim
And for their disbelief
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
waqawlihim
and their saying
عَلَىٰ
ala
against
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
Maryam
بُهۡتَٰنًا
buh'tanan
a slander
عَظِيمٗا
aziman
great
١٥٦
4:157
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
waqawlihim
And for their saying
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
قَتَلۡنَا
qatalna
killed
ٱلۡمَسِيحَ
al-masiha
the Messiah
عِيسَى
isa
Isa
ٱبۡنَ
ib'na
son
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
(of) Maryam
رَسُولَ
rasula
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَا
wama
And not
قَتَلُوهُ
qataluhu
they killed him
وَمَا
wama
and not
صَلَبُوهُ
salabuhu
they crucified him
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
but
شُبِّهَ
shubbiha
it was made to appear (so)
لَهُمۡۚ
lahum
to them
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
ikh'talafu
differ
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
لَفِي
lafi
(are) surely in
شَكّٖ
shakkin
doubt
مِّنۡهُۚ
min'hu
about it
مَا
ma
Not
لَهُم
lahum
for them
بِهِۦ
bihi
about it
مِنۡ
min
[of]
عِلۡمٍ
il'min
(any) knowledge
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱتِّبَاعَ
ittiba'a
(the) following
ٱلظَّنِّۚ
al-zani
(of) assumption
وَمَا
wama
And not
قَتَلُوهُ
qataluhu
they killed him
يَقِينَۢا
yaqinan
certainly
١٥٧
4:158
بَل
bal
Nay
رَّفَعَهُ
rafa'ahu
he was raised
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ilayhi
towards Him
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَزِيزًا
azizan
All-Mighty
حَكِيمٗا
hakiman
All-Wise
١٥٨
4:159
وَإِن
wa-in
And (there is) not
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
إِلَّا
illa
but
لَيُؤۡمِنَنَّ
layu'minanna
surely he believes
بِهِۦ
bihi
in him
قَبۡلَ
qabla
before
مَوۡتِهِۦۖ
mawtihi
his death
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
يَكُونُ
yakunu
he will be
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
against them
شَهِيدٗا
shahidan
a witness
١٥٩
4:160
فَبِظُلۡمٖ
fabizul'min
Then for (the) wrongdoing
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
هَادُواْ
hadu
were Jews
حَرَّمۡنَا
harramna
We made unlawful
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
for them
طَيِّبَٰتٍ
tayyibatin
good things
أُحِلَّتۡ
uhillat
which had been lawful
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَبِصَدِّهِمۡ
wabisaddihim
and for their hindering
عَن
an
from
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
many
١٦٠
4:161
وَأَخۡذِهِمُ
wa-akhdhihimu
And for their taking
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ
al-riba
(of) [the] usury
وَقَدۡ
waqad
while certainly
نُهُواْ
nuhu
they were forbidden
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from it
وَأَكۡلِهِمۡ
wa-aklihim
and (for) their consuming
أَمۡوَٰلَ
amwala
wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِۚ
bil-batili
wrongfully
وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا
wa-a'tadna
And We have prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
for the disbelievers
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
عَذَابًا
adhaban
a punishment
أَلِيمٗا
aliman
painful
١٦١
4:162
لَّٰكِنِ
lakini
But
ٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ
al-rasikhuna
the ones who are firm
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
al-'il'mi
the knowledge
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
wal-mu'minuna
and the believers
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
(is) revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
was revealed
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِكَۚ
qablika
before you
وَٱلۡمُقِيمِينَ
wal-muqimina
And the ones who establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ
al-salata
the prayer
وَٱلۡمُؤۡتُونَ
wal-mu'tuna
and the ones who give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
al-zakata
the zakah
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
wal-mu'minuna
and the ones who believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-yawmi
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
al-akhiri
the Last
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
سَنُؤۡتِيهِمۡ
sanu'tihim
We will give them
أَجۡرًا
ajran
a reward
عَظِيمًا
aziman
great
١٦٢
