۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaa-ʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laaẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
كُونُواْ
koonoo
Be
قَوَّٰمِينَ
q̣awwaameena
custodians
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ
bilq̣isṭi
of justice
شُهَدَآءَ
shuhadaaaʹa
(as) witnesses
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
وَلَوۡ
wa-law
even if
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
(it is) against
أَنفُسِكُمۡ
ʹañfusikum
yourselves
أَوِ
ʹawil
or
ٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
waalidayni
the parents
وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَۚ
wal-ʹaq̣rabeen,
and the relatives
إِن
ʹiñy
if
يَكُنۡ
yakun
he be
غَنِيًّا
g̣aniyyan
rich
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
فَقِيرٗا
faq̣eeran
poor
فَٱللَّهُ
fallaahu
for Allah
أَوۡلَىٰ
awlaa
(is) nearer
بِهِمَاۖ
bihimaa.
to both of them
فَلَا
Falaa
So (do) not
تَتَّبِعُواْ
tattabiʻul
follow
ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ
hawaaa
the desire
أَن
ʹañ
lest
تَعۡدِلُواْۚ
taʻdiloo.
you deviate
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
And if
تَلۡوُۥٓاْ
talwooo
you distort
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تُعۡرِضُواْ
tuʻriḍoo
refrain
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
خَبِيرٗا
Khabeeraa.
