4:114
۞لَّا
la
(There is) no
خَيۡرَ
khayra
good
فِي
fi
in
كَثِيرٖ
kathirin
much
مِّن
min
of
نَّجۡوَىٰهُمۡ
najwahum
their secret talk
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَنۡ
man
(he) who
أَمَرَ
amara
orders
بِصَدَقَةٍ
bisadaqatin
charity
أَوۡ
aw
or
مَعۡرُوفٍ
ma'rufin
kindness
أَوۡ
aw
or
إِصۡلَٰحِۭ
is'lahin
conciliation
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلنَّاسِۚ
al-nasi
the people
وَمَن
waman
And who
يَفۡعَلۡ
yaf 'al
does
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
ib'tighaa
seeking
مَرۡضَاتِ
mardati
pleasure
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
then soon
نُؤۡتِيهِ
nu'tihi
We will give him
أَجۡرًا
ajran
a reward
عَظِيمٗا
aziman
great
١١٤
4:115
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُشَاقِقِ
yushaqiqi
opposes
ٱلرَّسُولَ
al-rasula
the Messenger
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
what
تَبَيَّنَ
tabayyana
(has) become clear
لَهُ
lahu
to him
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
al-huda
(of) the guidance
وَيَتَّبِعۡ
wayattabi'
and he follows
غَيۡرَ
ghayra
other than
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
(of) the believers
نُوَلِّهِۦ
nuwallihi
We will turn him
مَا
ma
(to) what
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawalla
he (has) turned
وَنُصۡلِهِۦ
wanus'lihi
and We will burn him
جَهَنَّمَۖ
jahannama
(in) Hell
وَسَآءَتۡ
wasaat
and evil it is
مَصِيرًا
masiran
(as) a destination
١١٥
4:116
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
does not
يَغۡفِرُ
yaghfiru
forgive
أَن
an
that
يُشۡرَكَ
yush'raka
partners be associated
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
وَيَغۡفِرُ
wayaghfiru
but He forgives
مَا
ma
[what]
دُونَ
duna
other than
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
لِمَن
liman
for whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُشۡرِكۡ
yush'rik
associates partners
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
with Allah
فَقَدۡ
faqad
then surely
ضَلَّ
dalla
he lost (the) way
ضَلَٰلَۢا
dalalan
straying
بَعِيدًا
ba'idan
far away
١١٦
4:117
إِن
in
Not
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
they invoke
مِن
min
from
دُونِهِۦٓ
dunihi
besides Him
إِلَّآ
illa
but
إِنَٰثٗا
inathan
female (deities)
وَإِن
wa-in
and not
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
they invoke
إِلَّا
illa
except
شَيۡطَٰنٗا
shaytanan
Shaitaan
مَّرِيدٗا
maridan
rebellious
١١٧
4:118
لَّعَنَهُ
la'anahu
He was cursed
ٱللَّهُۘ
al-lahu
by Allah
وَقَالَ
waqala
and he said
لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ
la-attakhidhanna
I will surely take
مِنۡ
min
from
عِبَادِكَ
ibadika
your slaves
نَصِيبٗا
nasiban
a portion
مَّفۡرُوضٗا
mafrudan
appointed
١١٨
4:119
وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمۡ
wala-udillannahum
And I will surely mislead them
وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمۡ
wala-umanniyannahum
and surely arouse desires in them
وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ
walaamurannahum
and surely I will order them
فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ
falayubattikunna
so they will surely cut off
ءَاذَانَ
adhana
(the) ears
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
al-an'ami
(of) the cattle
وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ
walaamurannahum
and surely I will order them
فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ
falayughayyirunna
so they will surely change
خَلۡقَ
khalqa
(the) creation
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَتَّخِذِ
yattakhidhi
takes
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ
al-shaytana
the Shaitaan
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyan
(as) a friend
مِّن
min
from
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَقَدۡ
faqad
then surely
خَسِرَ
khasira
he (has) lost
خُسۡرَانٗا
khus'ranan
a loss
مُّبِينٗا
mubinan
manifest
١١٩
4:120
يَعِدُهُمۡ
ya'iduhum
He promises them
وَيُمَنِّيهِمۡۖ
wayumannihim
and arouses desires in them
وَمَا
wama
and not
يَعِدُهُمُ
ya'iduhumu
promises them
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan
إِلَّا
illa
except
غُرُورًا
ghururan
deception
١٢٠
4:121
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
مَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ
mawahum
their abode
جَهَنَّمُ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَجِدُونَ
yajiduna
they will find
عَنۡهَا
anha
from it
مَحِيصٗا
mahisan
any escape
١٢١

4:122
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
[the] righteous deeds
سَنُدۡخِلُهُمۡ
sanud'khiluhum
We will admit them
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannatin
(in) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajri
flow
مِن
min
from
تَحۡتِهَا
tahtiha
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
al-anharu
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
will abide
فِيهَآ
fiha
in it
أَبَدٗاۖ
abadan
forever
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
A Promise
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٗاۚ
haqqan
(in) truth
وَمَنۡ
waman
and who
أَصۡدَقُ
asdaqu
(is) truer
مِنَ
mina
than
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
قِيلٗا
qilan
(in) statement
١٢٢
4:123
لَّيۡسَ
laysa
Not
بِأَمَانِيِّكُمۡ
bi-amaniyyikum
by your desire
وَلَآ
wala
and not
أَمَانِيِّ
amaniyyi
(by the) desire
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(of the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِۗ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
مَن
man
Whoever
يَعۡمَلۡ
ya'mal
does
سُوٓءٗا
suan
evil
يُجۡزَ
yuj'za
will be recompensed
بِهِۦ
bihi
for it
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَجِدۡ
yajid
he will find
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِن
min
from
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyan
any protector
وَلَا
wala
and not
نَصِيرٗا
nasiran
any helper
١٢٣
4:124
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَعۡمَلۡ
ya'mal
does
مِنَ
mina
[of]
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
[the] righteous deeds
مِن
min
from
ذَكَرٍ
dhakarin
(the) male
أَوۡ
aw
or
أُنثَىٰ
untha
female
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
مُؤۡمِنٞ
mu'minun
(is) a believer
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
يَدۡخُلُونَ
yadkhuluna
will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
وَلَا
wala
and not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz'lamuna
they will be wronged
نَقِيرٗا
naqiran
(even as much as) the speck on a date-seed
١٢٤
4:125
وَمَنۡ
waman
And who
أَحۡسَنُ
ahsanu
(is) better
دِينٗا
dinan
(in) religion
مِّمَّنۡ
mimman
than (one) who
أَسۡلَمَ
aslama
submits
وَجۡهَهُۥ
wajhahu
his face
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
مُحۡسِنٞ
muh'sinun
(is) a good-doer
وَٱتَّبَعَ
wa-ittaba'a
and follows
مِلَّةَ
millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۗ
hanifan
(the) upright
وَٱتَّخَذَ
wa-ittakhadha
And was taken
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
خَلِيلٗا
khalilan
(as) a friend
١٢٥
4:126
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And for Allah
مَا
ma
(is) what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
وَكَانَ
wakana
and is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
مُّحِيطٗا
muhitan
All-Encompassing
١٢٦
4:127
وَيَسۡتَفۡتُونَكَ
wayastaftunaka
And they seek your ruling
فِي
fi
concerning
ٱلنِّسَآءِۖ
al-nisai
the women
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يُفۡتِيكُمۡ
yuf'tikum
gives you the ruling
فِيهِنَّ
fihinna
about them
وَمَا
wama
and what
يُتۡلَىٰ
yut'la
is recited
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
the Book
فِي
fi
concerning
يَتَٰمَى
yatama
orphans
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
al-nisai
(of) girls
ٱلَّٰتِي
allati
(to) whom
لَا
la
not
تُؤۡتُونَهُنَّ
tu'tunahunna
(do) you give them
مَا
ma
what
كُتِبَ
kutiba
is ordained
لَهُنَّ
lahunna
for them
وَتَرۡغَبُونَ
watarghabuna
and you desire
أَن
an
to
تَنكِحُوهُنَّ
tankihuhunna
marry them
وَٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ
wal-mus'tad'afina
and the ones who are weak
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ
al-wil'dani
the children
وَأَن
wa-an
and to
تَقُومُواْ
taqumu
stand
لِلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
lil'yatama
for orphans
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ
bil-qis'ti
with justice
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
تَفۡعَلُواْ
taf 'alu
you do
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kana
is
بِهِۦ
bihi
about it
عَلِيمٗا
aliman
All-Knowing
١٢٧

4:128
وَإِنِ
wa-ini
And if
ٱمۡرَأَةٌ
im'ra-atun
a woman
خَافَتۡ
khafat
fears
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡلِهَا
ba'liha
her husband
نُشُوزًا
nushuzan
ill-conduct
أَوۡ
aw
or
إِعۡرَاضٗا
i'radan
desertion
فَلَا
fala
then (there is) no
جُنَاحَ
junaha
sin
عَلَيۡهِمَآ
alayhima
on both of them
أَن
an
that
يُصۡلِحَا
yus'liha
they make terms of peace
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahuma
between themselves
صُلۡحٗاۚ
sul'han
a reconciliation
وَٱلصُّلۡحُ
wal-sul'hu
and [the] reconciliation
خَيۡرٞۗ
khayrun
(is) best
وَأُحۡضِرَتِ
wa-uh'dirati
And are swayed
ٱلۡأَنفُسُ
al-anfusu
the souls
ٱلشُّحَّۚ
al-shuha
(by) greed
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
تُحۡسِنُواْ
tuh'sinu
you do good
وَتَتَّقُواْ
watattaqu
and fear (Allah)
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kana
is
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
خَبِيرٗا
khabiran
All-Aware
١٢٨
4:129
وَلَن
walan
And never
تَسۡتَطِيعُوٓاْ
tastati'u
will you be able
أَن
an
to
تَعۡدِلُواْ
ta'dilu
deal justly
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
al-nisai
[the] women
وَلَوۡ
walaw
even if
حَرَصۡتُمۡۖ
harastum
you desired
فَلَا
fala
but (do) not
تَمِيلُواْ
tamilu
incline
كُلَّ
kulla
(with) all
ٱلۡمَيۡلِ
al-mayli
the inclination
فَتَذَرُوهَا
fatadharuha
and leave her (the other)
كَٱلۡمُعَلَّقَةِۚ
kal-mu'alaqati
like the suspended one
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
تُصۡلِحُواْ
tus'lihu
you reconcile
وَتَتَّقُواْ
watattaqu
and fear (Allah)
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
كَانَ
kana
is
غَفُورٗا
ghafuran
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
rahiman
Most Merciful
١٢٩
4:130
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَتَفَرَّقَا
yatafarraqa
they separate
يُغۡنِ
yugh'ni
will be enriched
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
كُلّٗا
kullan
each (of them)
مِّن
min
from
سَعَتِهِۦۚ
sa'atihi
His abundance
وَكَانَ
wakana
and is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
وَٰسِعًا
wasi'an
All-Encompassing
حَكِيمٗا
hakiman
All-Wise
١٣٠
4:131
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And for Allah
مَا
ma
(is) whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
al-ardi
the earth
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And surely
وَصَّيۡنَا
wassayna
We have instructed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِكُمۡ
qablikum
before you
وَإِيَّاكُمۡ
wa-iyyakum
and yourselves
أَنِ
ani
that
ٱتَّقُواْ
ittaqu
you fear
ٱللَّهَۚ
al-laha
Allah
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
تَكۡفُرُواْ
takfuru
you disbelieve
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
for Allah
مَا
ma
(is) whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
غَنِيًّا
ghaniyyan
Free of need
حَمِيدٗا
hamidan
Praiseworthy
١٣١
4:132
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And for Allah
مَا
ma
(is) whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafa
And is sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
Allah
وَكِيلًا
wakilan
(as) a Disposer of affairs
١٣٢
4:133
إِن
in
If
يَشَأۡ
yasha
He wills
يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ
yudh'hib'kum
He can take you away
أَيُّهَا
ayyuha
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
people
وَيَأۡتِ
wayati
and bring
بِـَٔاخَرِينَۚ
biakharina
others
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
قَدِيرٗا
qadiran
All-Powerful
١٣٣
4:134
مَّن
man
Whoever
كَانَ
kana
[is]
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
desires
ثَوَابَ
thawaba
reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
فَعِندَ
fa'inda
then with
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
ثَوَابُ
thawabu
(is the) reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ
wal-akhirati
and the Hereafter
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
سَمِيعَۢا
sami'an
All-Hearing
بَصِيرٗا
basiran
All-Seeing
١٣٤
