One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

76:19

۞وَيَطُوفُ

Wa-yaṭoofu

And will circulate

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

ʻalayhim

among them

وِلۡدَٰنٞ

wildaanum

young boys

مُّخَلَّدُونَ

mukhalladoon:

made eternal

إِذَا

ʹiẓaa

When

رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ

raʹaytahum

you see them

حَسِبۡتَهُمۡ

ḥasibtahum

you would think them

لُؤۡلُؤٗا

luʹluʹam

(to be) pearls

مَّنثُورٗا

mañs̤ooraa.

scattered

76:20

وَإِذَا

Wa-ʹiẓaa

And when

رَأَيۡتَ

raʹayta

you look

ثَمَّ

s̤amma

then

رَأَيۡتَ

raʹayta

you will see

نَعِيمٗا

Naʻeemañw

blessings

وَمُلۡكٗا

Wa-Mulkañ

and a kingdom

كَبِيرًا

Kabeeraa.

great

٢٠

76:21

عَٰلِيَهُمۡ

ʻAaliyahum

Upon them

ثِيَابُ

s̤iyaabu

(will be) garments

سُندُسٍ

suñdusin

(of) fine silk

خُضۡرٞ

khuḍruñw

green

وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٞۖ

waʹistabraq̣,

and heavy brocade

وَحُلُّوٓاْ

wa-ḥullooo

And they will be adorned

أَسَاوِرَ

ʹasaawira

(with) bracelets

مِن

miñ

فِضَّةٖ

fiḍḍah;

silver

وَسَقَىٰهُمۡ

wa-saq̣aahum

and will give them to drink

رَبُّهُمۡ

Rabbuhum

their Lord

شَرَابٗا

Sharaabañ

a drink

طَهُورًا

Ṭahooraa.

pure

٢١

76:22

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

هَٰذَا

haaẓaa

this

كَانَ

kaana

لَكُمۡ

lakum

for you

جَزَآءٗ

jazaaaʹañw

a reward

وَكَانَ

wakaana

and has been

سَعۡيُكُم

saʻyukum

your effort

مَّشۡكُورًا

mashkooraa.

appreciated

76:23

إِنَّا

ʹInnaa

Indeed We

نَحۡنُ

Naḥnu

[We]

نَزَّلۡنَا

nazzalnaa

[We] revealed

عَلَيۡكَ

ʻalaykal

to you

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

Q̣urʹaana

the Quran

تَنزِيلٗا

tañzeelaa.

progressively

٢٣

76:24

فَٱصۡبِرۡ

Faṣbir

So be patient

لِحُكۡمِ

li-Ḥukmi

for (the) Command

رَبِّكَ

Rabbika

(of) your Lord

وَلَا

wa-laa

and (do) not

تُطِعۡ

tuṭiʻ

obey

مِنۡهُمۡ

minhum

from them

ءَاثِمًا

ʹaas̤iman

any sinner

أَوۡ

ʹaw

كَفُورٗا

kafooraa.

disbeliever

76:25

وَٱذۡكُرِ

Waẓkuris

And remember

ٱسۡمَ

(the) name

رَبِّكَ

Rabbika

(of) your Lord

بُكۡرَةٗ

bukratañw

morning

وَأَصِيلٗا

waʹaṣeelaa.

and evening

وَمِنَ

Wa-minal

And of

ٱلَّيۡلِ

layli

the night

فَٱسۡجُدۡ

fasjud

prostrate

لَهُۥ

lahoo

to Him

وَسَبِّحۡهُ

wa-sabbiḥhu

and glorify Him

لَيۡلٗا

laylañ

a night

طَوِيلًا

ṭaweelaa.

long

76:27

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ

haaaʹulaaaʹi

these

يُحِبُّونَ

yuḥibboonal

love

ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ

ʻaajilata

the immediate

وَيَذَرُونَ

wa-yaẓaroona

and leave

وَرَآءَهُمۡ

wa-raaaʹahum

behind them

يَوۡمٗا

Yawmañ

a Day

ثَقِيلٗا

s̤aq̣eelaa.

grave

٢٧

76:28

نَّحۡنُ

Naḥnu

خَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ

khalaq̣naahum

created them

وَشَدَدۡنَآ

wa-shadadnaaa

and We strengthened

أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ

ʹasrahum;

their forms

وَإِذَا

wa-ʹiẓaa

and when

شِئۡنَا

shiʹnaa

We will

بَدَّلۡنَآ

baddalnaaa

We can change

أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ

ʹams̤aalahum

their likeness[es]

تَبۡدِيلًا

tabdeelaa.

(with) a change

٢٨

76:29

إِنَّ

ʹinna

Indeed

هَٰذِهِۦ

haaẓihee

this

تَذۡكِرَةٞۖ

taẓkirah:

(is) a reminder

فَمَن

famañ

so whoever

شَآءَ

shaaaʹat

wills

ٱتَّخَذَ

takhaẓa

let him take

إِلَىٰ

ʹilaa

رَبِّهِۦ

Rabbihee

his Lord

سَبِيلٗا

sabeelaa.

a way

٢٩

76:30

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And not

تَشَآءُونَ

tashaaaʹoona

you will

إِلَّآ

ʹillaaa

except

أَن

ʹañy

that

يَشَآءَ

yashaaaʹal

wills

ٱللَّهُۚ

laah;

Allah

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

كَانَ

kaana

عَلِيمًا

ʻAleeman

All-Knower

حَكِيمٗا

Ḥakeemaa.

All-Wise

٣٠

76:31

يُدۡخِلُ

Yudkhilu

He admits

مَن

mañy

whom

يَشَآءُ

yashaaaʹu

He wills

فِي

fee

into

رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ

Raḥmatih;

His mercy

وَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

waz̤̣z̤̣aalimeena

but (for) the wrongdoers

أَعَدَّ

ʹaʻadda

He has prepared

لَهُمۡ

lahum

for them

عَذَابًا

ʻAẓaaban

a punishment

أَلِيمَۢا

ʹaleemaa.

painful

٣١

77:1

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ

WALMURSALAATI

By the ones sent forth

عُرۡفٗا

ʻurfaa,

one after another

77:2

فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ

Falʻaaṣifaati

And the winds that blow

عَصۡفٗا

ʻaṣfaa,

violently

77:3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ

Wannaashiraati

And the ones that scatter

نَشۡرٗا

nashraa,

far and wide

77:4

فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ

Falfaariq̣aati

And those who separate

فَرۡقٗا

farq̣aa,

(by the) Criterion

77:5

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ

Falmulq̣iyaati

And those who bring down

ذِكۡرًا

ẓikraa,

(the) Reminder

77:6

عُذۡرًا

ʻUẓran

(As) justification

أَوۡ

ʹaw

نُذۡرًا

nuẓraa;―

warning

77:7

إِنَّمَا

ʹInnamaa

Indeed what

تُوعَدُونَ

tooʻadoona

you are promised

لَوَٰقِعٞ

lawaaq̣iʻ.

will surely occur

77:8

فَإِذَا

Faʹiẓan

So when

ٱلنُّجُومُ

nujoomu

the stars

طُمِسَتۡ

ṭumisat;

are obliterated

77:9

وَإِذَا

Wa-ʹiẓas

And when

ٱلسَّمَآءُ

samaaaʹu

the heaven

فُرِجَتۡ

furijat;

is cleft asunder

77:10

وَإِذَا

Wa-ʹiẓal

And when

ٱلۡجِبَالُ

jibaalu

the mountains

نُسِفَتۡ

nusifat;

are blown away

77:11

وَإِذَا

Wa-ʹizar

And when

ٱلرُّسُلُ

rusulu

the Messengers

أُقِّتَتۡ

ʹuq̣q̣itat;

are gathered to their appointed time

77:12

لِأَيِّ

Liʹayyi

For what

يَوۡمٍ

Yawmin

Day

أُجِّلَتۡ

ʹujjilat?

are (these) postponed
