70:21وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenمَسَّهُmassahutouches himٱلۡخَيۡرُal-khayruthe goodمَنُوعًاmanu'anwithholding٢١
70:23ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoهُمۡhum[they]عَلَىٰalaatصَلَاتِهِمۡsalatihimtheir prayerدَآئِمُونَdaimuna(are) constant٢٣
70:24وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoفِيٓfiinأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡamwalihimtheir wealthحَقّٞhaqqun(is) a rightمَّعۡلُومٞma'lumunknown٢٤
70:26وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoيُصَدِّقُونَyusaddiqunaaccept (the) truthبِيَوۡمِbiyawmi(of the) Dayٱلدِّينِal-dini(of) the Judgment٢٦
70:27وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoهُمhum[they]مِّنۡminofعَذَابِadhabi(the) punishmentرَبِّهِمrabbihim(of) their Lordمُّشۡفِقُونَmush'fiquna(are) fearful ٢٧
70:28إِنَّinnaIndeedعَذَابَadhaba(the) punishmentرَبِّهِمۡrabbihim(of) your Lordغَيۡرُghayru(is) notمَأۡمُونٖmamuninto be felt secure (of) ٢٨
70:29وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoهُمۡhum[they]لِفُرُوجِهِمۡlifurujihimtheir modestyحَٰفِظُونَhafizuna(are) guardians٢٩
70:30إِلَّاillaExceptعَلَىٰٓalafromأَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡazwajihimtheir spousesأَوۡaworمَاmawhatمَلَكَتۡmalakatthey possessأَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡaymanuhumrightfullyفَإِنَّهُمۡfa-innahumthen indeed theyغَيۡرُghayru(are) notمَلُومِينَmaluminablameworthy٣٠
70:31فَمَنِfamaniBut whoeverٱبۡتَغَىٰib'taghaseeksوَرَآءَwaraabeyondذَٰلِكَdhalikathatفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfa-ulaikathen thoseهُمُhumu[they]ٱلۡعَادُونَal-'aduna(are) the transgressors ٣١
70:32وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoهُمۡhum[they]لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡli-amanatihimof their trustsوَعَهۡدِهِمۡwa'ahdihimand their promiseرَٰعُونَra'una(are) observers٣٢
70:33وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoهُمhum[they]بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمۡbishahadatihimin their testimoniesقَآئِمُونَqaimunastand firm٣٣
70:34وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoهُمۡhum[they]عَلَىٰalaonصَلَاتِهِمۡsalatihimtheir prayerيُحَافِظُونَyuhafizunakeep a guard ٣٤
70:36فَمَالِfamaliSo what is withٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveقِبَلَكَqibalakabefore youمُهۡطِعِينَmuh'ti'ina(they) hasten٣٦
70:37عَنِaniOnٱلۡيَمِينِal-yaminithe rightوَعَنِwa'aniand onٱلشِّمَالِal-shimalithe leftعِزِينَizina(in) separate groups٣٧
70:38أَيَطۡمَعُayatma'uDoes longكُلُّkullueveryٱمۡرِيٕٖim'ri-inpersonمِّنۡهُمۡmin'humamong themأَنanthatيُدۡخَلَyud'khalahe entersجَنَّةَjannataa Gardenنَعِيمٖna'imin(of) Delight٣٨
70:39كـَلَّآۖkallaBy no meansإِنَّاinnaIndeed Weخَلَقۡنَٰهُمkhalaqnahum[We] have created themمِّمَّاmimmafrom whatيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunathey know٣٩
70:40فَلَآfalaBut nayأُقۡسِمُuq'simuI swearبِرَبِّbirabbiby (the) Lordٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِal-mashariqi(of) the risingsوَٱلۡمَغَٰرِبِwal-magharibiand the settingsإِنَّاinnathat Weلَقَٰدِرُونَlaqadiruna(are) surely Able٤٠
70:41عَلَىٰٓala[On]أَنantoنُّبَدِّلَnubaddila[We] replaceخَيۡرٗاkhayran(with) betterمِّنۡهُمۡmin'humthan themوَمَاwamaand notنَحۡنُnahnuWeبِمَسۡبُوقِينَbimasbuqina(are) to be outrun٤١
70:42فَذَرۡهُمۡfadharhumSo leave themيَخُوضُواْyakhudu(to) converse vainlyوَيَلۡعَبُواْwayal'abuand amuse themselvesحَتَّىٰhattauntilيُلَٰقُواْyulaquthey meetيَوۡمَهُمُyawmahumutheir Dayٱلَّذِيalladhiwhichيُوعَدُونَyu'adunathey are promised٤٢
70:43يَوۡمَyawma(The) Dayيَخۡرُجُونَyakhrujunathey will come outمِنَminafromٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِal-ajdathithe gravesسِرَاعٗاsira'anrapidlyكَأَنَّهُمۡka-annahumas if they (were)إِلَىٰilatoنُصُبٖnusubina goalيُوفِضُونَyufidunahastening٤٣
70:44خَٰشِعَةًkhashi'atanHumbledأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡabsaruhumtheir eyesightsتَرۡهَقُهُمۡtarhaquhumwill cover themذِلَّةٞۚdhillatunhumiliationذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatٱلۡيَوۡمُal-yawmu(is) the Dayٱلَّذِيalladhiwhichكَانُواْkanuthey wereيُوعَدُونَyu'adunapromised٤٤
71:1إِنَّآinnaIndeed Weأَرۡسَلۡنَاarsalna[We] sentنُوحًاnuhanNuhإِلَىٰilatoقَوۡمِهِۦٓqawmihihis peopleأَنۡanthatأَنذِرۡandhirWarnقَوۡمَكَqawmakayour peopleمِنminfromقَبۡلِqablibeforeأَنan[that]يَأۡتِيَهُمۡyatiyahumcomes to themعَذَابٌadhabuna punishmentأَلِيمٞalimunpainful١
71:2قَالَqalaHe saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaqawmiO my peopleإِنِّيinniIndeed I amلَكُمۡlakumto youنَذِيرٞnadhiruna warnerمُّبِينٌmubinunclear٢
71:3أَنِaniThatٱعۡبُدُواْu'buduWorshipٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahوَٱتَّقُوهُwa-ittaquhuand fear Himوَأَطِيعُونِwa-ati'uniand obey me٣
71:4يَغۡفِرۡyaghfirHe will forgiveلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنmin[of]ذُنُوبِكُمۡdhunubikumyour sinsوَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡwayu-akhir'kumand give you respiteإِلَىٰٓilaforأَجَلٖajalina termمُّسَمًّىۚmusammanspecifiedإِنَّinnaIndeedأَجَلَajala(the) termٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahإِذَاidhawhenجَآءَjaait comesلَاlanotيُؤَخَّرُۚyu-akharuis delayedلَوۡlawifكُنتُمۡkuntumyouتَعۡلَمُونَta'lamunaknow٤
71:5قَالَqalaHe saidرَبِّrabbiMy LordإِنِّيinniIndeed Iدَعَوۡتُda'awtuinvitedقَوۡمِيqawmimy peopleلَيۡلٗاlaylannightوَنَهَارٗاwanaharanand day٥
71:6فَلَمۡfalamBut notيَزِدۡهُمۡyazid'humincreased themدُعَآءِيٓdu'aimy invitationإِلَّاillaexceptفِرَارٗاfiraran(in) flight٦
71:7وَإِنِّيwa-inniAnd indeed Iكُلَّمَاkullamaevery timeدَعَوۡتُهُمۡda'awtuhumI invited themلِتَغۡفِرَlitaghfirathat You may forgiveلَهُمۡlahumthemجَعَلُوٓاْja'aluthey putأَصَٰبِعَهُمۡasabi'ahumtheir fingersفِيٓfiinءَاذَانِهِمۡadhanihimtheir earsوَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡاْwa-is'taghshawand covered themselvesثِيَابَهُمۡthiyabahum(with) their garmentsوَأَصَرُّواْwa-asarruand persistedوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْwa-is'takbaruand were arrogantٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗاis'tik'baran(with) pride٧
71:9ثُمَّthummaThenإِنِّيٓinniindeed Iأَعۡلَنتُa'lantuannouncedلَهُمۡlahumto themوَأَسۡرَرۡتُwa-asrartuand I confidedلَهُمۡlahumto themإِسۡرَارٗاis'raransecretly٩
71:10فَقُلۡتُfaqul'tuThen I saidٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْis'taghfiruAsk forgivenessرَبَّكُمۡrabbakum(from) your LordإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed HeكَانَkanaisغَفَّارٗاghaffaranOft-Forgiving١٠
71:11يُرۡسِلِyur'siliHe will send downٱلسَّمَآءَal-samaa(rain from) the skyعَلَيۡكُمalaykumupon youمِّدۡرَارٗاmid'raran(in) abundance١١
71:12وَيُمۡدِدۡكُمwayum'did'kumAnd provide youبِأَمۡوَٰلٖbi-amwalinwith wealthوَبَنِينَwabaninaand childrenوَيَجۡعَلwayaj'aland makeلَّكُمۡlakumfor youجَنَّٰتٖjannatingardensوَيَجۡعَلwayaj'aland makeلَّكُمۡlakumfor youأَنۡهَٰرٗاanharanrivers١٢
71:13مَّاmaWhatلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youلَاlanotتَرۡجُونَtarjunayou attributeلِلَّهِlillahito Allahوَقَارٗاwaqarangrandeur١٣
71:15أَلَمۡalamDo notتَرَوۡاْtarawyou seeكَيۡفَkayfahowخَلَقَkhalaqadid createٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahسَبۡعَsab'a(the) sevenسَمَٰوَٰتٖsamawatinheavensطِبَاقٗاtibaqan(in) layers١٥
71:16وَجَعَلَwaja'alaAnd madeٱلۡقَمَرَal-qamarathe moonفِيهِنَّfihinnathereinنُورٗاnurana lightوَجَعَلَwaja'alaand madeٱلشَّمۡسَal-shamsathe sunسِرَاجٗاsirajana lamp١٦
71:17وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahأَنۢبَتَكُمanbatakumhas caused you to growمِّنَminafromٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthنَبَاتٗاnabatan(as) a growth١٧
71:18ثُمَّthummaThenيُعِيدُكُمۡyu'idukumHe will return youفِيهَاfihainto itوَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡwayukh'rijukumand bring you forthإِخۡرَاجٗاikh'rajan(a new) bringing forth١٨
71:19وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahجَعَلَja'alamadeلَكُمُlakumufor youٱلۡأَرۡضَal-ardathe earthبِسَاطٗاbisatanan expanse١٩
71:20لِّتَسۡلُكُواْlitaslukuThat you may go alongمِنۡهَاmin'hathereinسُبُلٗاsubulan(in) pathsفِجَاجٗاfijajanwide٢٠
71:21قَالَqalaSaidنُوحٞnuhunNuhرَّبِّrabbiMy LordإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyعَصَوۡنِيasawnidisobeyed meوَٱتَّبَعُواْwa-ittaba'uand followedمَنman(the one) whoلَّمۡlam(did) notيَزِدۡهُyazid'huincrease himمَالُهُۥmaluhuhis wealthوَوَلَدُهُۥٓwawaladuhuand his childrenإِلَّاillaexceptخَسَارٗاkhasaran(in) loss٢١
71:23وَقَالُواْwaqaluAnd they saidلَاla(Do) notتَذَرُنَّtadharunnaleaveءَالِهَتَكُمۡalihatakumyour godsوَلَاwalaand (do) notتَذَرُنَّtadharunnaleaveوَدّٗاwaddanWaddوَلَاwalaand notسُوَاعٗاsuwa'anSuwaوَلَاwalaand notيَغُوثَyaghuthaYaguthوَيَعُوقَwaya'uqaand Yauqوَنَسۡرٗاwanasranand Nasr٢٣
71:24وَقَدۡwaqadAnd indeedأَضَلُّواْadalluthey have led astrayكَثِيرٗاۖkathiranmanyوَلَاwalaAnd notتَزِدِtazidiincreaseٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoersإِلَّاillaexceptضَلَٰلٗاdalalan(in) error٢٤
