One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

63:4
۞وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
ra-aytahum
you see them
تُعۡجِبُكَ
tu'jibuka
pleases you
أَجۡسَامُهُمۡۖ
ajsamuhum
their bodies
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يَقُولُواْ
yaqulu
they speak
تَسۡمَعۡ
tasma'
you listen
لِقَوۡلِهِمۡۖ
liqawlihim
to their speech
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
ka-annahum
as if they (were)
خُشُبٞ
khushubun
pieces of wood
مُّسَنَّدَةٞۖ
musannadatun
propped up
يَحۡسَبُونَ
yahsabuna
They think
كُلَّ
kulla
every
صَيۡحَةٍ
sayhatin
shout
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
alayhim
(is) against them
هُمُ
humu
They
ٱلۡعَدُوُّ
al-'aduwu
(are) the enemy
فَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡۚ
fa-ih'dharhum
so beware of them
قَٰتَلَهُمُ
qatalahumu
May destroy them
ٱللَّهُۖ
al-lahu
Allah
أَنَّىٰ
anna
How
يُؤۡفَكُونَ
yu'fakuna
are they deluded
٤

63:5
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
قِيلَ
qila
it is said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
تَعَالَوۡاْ
ta'alaw
Come
يَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
yastaghfir
will ask forgiveness
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
رَسُولُ
rasulu
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
لَوَّوۡاْ
lawwaw
They turn aside
رُءُوسَهُمۡ
ruusahum
their heads
وَرَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
wara-aytahum
and you see them
يَصُدُّونَ
yasudduna
turning away
وَهُم
wahum
while they
مُّسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
mus'takbiruna
(are) arrogant
٥
63:6
سَوَآءٌ
sawaon
(It) is same
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
for them
أَسۡتَغۡفَرۡتَ
astaghfarta
whether you ask forgiveness
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَمۡ
am
or
لَمۡ
lam
(do) not
تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
tastaghfir
ask forgiveness
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
لَن
lan
Never
يَغۡفِرَ
yaghfira
will forgive
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
لَهُمۡۚ
lahum
[to] them
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
al-qawma
the people
ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ
al-fasiqina
the defiantly disobedient
٦
63:7
هُمُ
humu
They
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(are) those who
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
say
لَا
la
(Do) not
تُنفِقُواْ
tunfiqu
spend
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَنۡ
man
(those) who
عِندَ
inda
(are) with
رَسُولِ
rasuli
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَنفَضُّواْۗ
yanfaddu
they disband
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And for Allah
خَزَآئِنُ
khazainu
(are the) treasures
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
al-munafiqina
the hypocrites
لَا
la
(do) not
يَفۡقَهُونَ
yafqahuna
understand
٧
63:8
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
They say
لَئِن
la-in
If
رَّجَعۡنَآ
raja'na
we return
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ
al-madinati
Al-Madinah
لَيُخۡرِجَنَّ
layukh'rijanna
surely will expel
ٱلۡأَعَزُّ
al-a'azu
the more honorable
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
from it
ٱلۡأَذَلَّۚ
al-adhala
the more humble
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
But for Allah
ٱلۡعِزَّةُ
al-'izatu
(is) the honor
وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ
walirasulihi
and for His Messenger
وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
walil'mu'minina
and for the believers
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
al-munafiqina
the hypocrites
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٨
63:9
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
you (who)
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
لَا
la
(Let) not
تُلۡهِكُمۡ
tul'hikum
divert you
أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ
amwalukum
your wealth
وَلَآ
wala
and not
أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ
awladukum
your children
عَن
an
from
ذِكۡرِ
dhik'ri
(the) remembrance
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَفۡعَلۡ
yaf 'al
does
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ
al-khasiruna
(are) the losers
٩
63:10
وَأَنفِقُواْ
wa-anfiqu
And spend
مِن
min
from
مَّا
ma
what
رَزَقۡنَٰكُم
razaqnakum
We have provided you
مِّن
min
from
قَبۡلِ
qabli
before
أَن
an
[that]
يَأۡتِيَ
yatiya
comes
أَحَدَكُمُ
ahadakumu
(to) one of you
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
al-mawtu
the death
فَيَقُولَ
fayaqula
and he says
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
Why not
أَخَّرۡتَنِيٓ
akhartani
You delay me
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
قَرِيبٖ
qaribin
near
فَأَصَّدَّقَ
fa-assaddaqa
so I would give charity
وَأَكُن
wa-akun
and be
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
١٠
63:11
وَلَن
walan
But never
يُؤَخِّرَ
yu-akhira
will (be) delayed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
نَفۡسًا
nafsan
a soul
إِذَا
idha
when
جَآءَ
jaa
has come
أَجَلُهَاۚ
ajaluha
its term
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
خَبِيرُۢ
khabirun
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do

يُسَبِّحُ
yusabbihu
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
[to] Allah
مَا
ma
whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
al-ardi
the earth
لَهُ
lahu
For Him
ٱلۡمُلۡكُ
al-mul'ku
(is the) dominion
وَلَهُ
walahu
and for Him
ٱلۡحَمۡدُۖ
al-hamdu
(is) the praise
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
عَلَىٰ
ala
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٌ
qadirun
All-Powerful
١
64:2
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُمۡ
khalaqakum
created you
فَمِنكُمۡ
faminkum
and among you
كَافِرٞ
kafirun
(is) a disbeliever
وَمِنكُم
waminkum
and among you
مُّؤۡمِنٞۚ
mu'minun
(is) a believer
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
بَصِيرٌ
basirun
(is) All-Seer
٢
64:3
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
with truth
وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ
wasawwarakum
and He formed you
فَأَحۡسَنَ
fa-ahsana
and made good
صُوَرَكُمۡۖ
suwarakum
your forms
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
al-masiru
(is) the final return
٣
64:4
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
He knows
مَا
ma
what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَيَعۡلَمُ
waya'lamu
and He knows
مَا
ma
what
تُسِرُّونَ
tusirruna
you conceal
وَمَا
wama
and what
تُعۡلِنُونَۚ
tu'linuna
you declare
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ
bidhati
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
al-suduri
(is in) the breasts
٤
64:5
أَلَمۡ
alam
Has not
يَأۡتِكُمۡ
yatikum
come to you
نَبَؤُاْ
naba-u
(the) news
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
فَذَاقُواْ
fadhaqu
So they tasted
وَبَالَ
wabala
(the bad) consequence
أَمۡرِهِمۡ
amrihim
(of) their affair
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
٥
64:6
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُۥ
bi-annahu
(is) because
كَانَت
kanat
had
تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ
tatihim
come to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
فَقَالُوٓاْ
faqalu
but they said
أَبَشَرٞ
abasharun
Shall human beings
يَهۡدُونَنَا
yahdunana
guide us
فَكَفَرُواْ
fakafaru
So they disbelieved
وَتَوَلَّواْۖ
watawallaw
and turned away
وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى
wa-is'taghna
And can do without them
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
غَنِيٌّ
ghaniyyun
(is) Self-sufficient
حَمِيدٞ
hamidun
Praiseworthy
٦
64:7
زَعَمَ
za'ama
Claim
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafaru
disbelieve
أَن
an
that
لَّن
lan
never
يُبۡعَثُواْۚ
yub'athu
will they be raised
قُلۡ
qul
Say
بَلَىٰ
bala
Yes
وَرَبِّي
warabbi
by my Lord
لَتُبۡعَثُنَّ
latub'athunna
surely you will be raised
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ
latunabba-unna
surely you will be informed
بِمَا
bima
of what
عَمِلۡتُمۡۚ
amil'tum
you did
وَذَٰلِكَ
wadhalika
And that
عَلَى
ala
for
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
يَسِيرٞ
yasirun
(is) easy
٧
64:8
فَـَٔامِنُواْ
faaminu
So believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
warasulihi
and His Messenger
وَٱلنُّورِ
wal-nuri
and the Light
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
which
أَنزَلۡنَاۚ
anzalna
We have sent down
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
خَبِيرٞ
khabirun
(is) All-Aware
٨
64:9
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ
yajma'ukum
He will assemble you
لِيَوۡمِ
liyawmi
for (the) Day
ٱلۡجَمۡعِۖ
al-jam'i
(of) the Assembly
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
يَوۡمُ
yawmu
(will be the) Day
ٱلتَّغَابُنِۗ
al-taghabuni
(of) mutual loss and gain
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُؤۡمِنۢ
yu'min
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَيَعۡمَلۡ
waya'mal
and does
صَٰلِحٗا
salihan
righteous deeds
يُكَفِّرۡ
yukaffir
He will remove
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from him
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ
sayyiatihi
his evil deeds
وَيُدۡخِلۡهُ
wayud'khil'hu
and He will admit him
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannatin
(to) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajri
flow
مِن
min
from
تَحۡتِهَا
tahtiha
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
al-anharu
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
abiding
فِيهَآ
fiha
therein
أَبَدٗاۚ
abadan
forever
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
ٱلۡفَوۡزُ
al-fawzu
(is) the success
ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
al-'azimu
the great
٩

64:10
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
But those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
وَكَذَّبُواْ
wakadhabu
and denied
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
biayatina
[in] Our Verses
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
abiding forever
فِيهَاۖ
fiha
therein
وَبِئۡسَ
wabi'sa
And wretched is
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
al-masiru
the destination
١٠
64:11
مَآ
ma
Not
أَصَابَ
asaba
strikes
مِن
min
any
مُّصِيبَةٍ
musibatin
disaster
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِۗ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُؤۡمِنۢ
yu'min
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
يَهۡدِ
yahdi
He guides
قَلۡبَهُۥۚ
qalbahu
his heart
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
thing
عَلِيمٞ
alimun
(is) All-Knowing
١١
64:12
وَأَطِيعُواْ
wa-ati'u
So obey
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَأَطِيعُواْ
wa-ati'u
and obey
ٱلرَّسُولَۚ
al-rasula
the Messenger
فَإِن
fa-in
but if
تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ
tawallaytum
you turn away
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
عَلَىٰ
ala
upon
رَسُولِنَا
rasulina
Our Messenger
ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ
al-balaghu
(is) the conveyance
ٱلۡمُبِينُ
al-mubinu
clear
١٢
64:13
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَۚ
huwa
Him
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And upon
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ
falyatawakkali
let put (their) trust
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
al-mu'minuna
the believers
١٣
64:14
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(you) who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
amanu
believe
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
مِنۡ
min
from
أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ
azwajikum
your spouses
وَأَوۡلَٰدِكُمۡ
wa-awladikum
and your children
عَدُوّٗا
aduwwan
(are) enemies
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
to you
فَٱحۡذَرُوهُمۡۚ
fa-ih'dharuhum
so beware of them
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
تَعۡفُواْ
ta'fu
you pardon
وَتَصۡفَحُواْ
watasfahu
and overlook
وَتَغۡفِرُواْ
wataghfiru
and forgive
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
ghafurun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٤
64:15
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ
amwalukum
your wealth
وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ
wa-awladukum
and your children
فِتۡنَةٞۚ
fit'natun
(are) a trial
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
and Allah
عِندَهُۥٓ
indahu
with Him
أَجۡرٌ
ajrun
(is) a reward
عَظِيمٞ
azimun
great
١٥
64:16
فَٱتَّقُواْ
fa-ittaqu
So fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
مَا
ma
what
ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ
is'tata'tum
you are able
وَٱسۡمَعُواْ
wa-is'ma'u
and listen
وَأَطِيعُواْ
wa-ati'u
and obey
وَأَنفِقُواْ
wa-anfiqu
and spend
خَيۡرٗا
khayran
(it is) better
لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ
li-anfusikum
for yourselves
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُوقَ
yuqa
is saved
شُحَّ
shuhha
(from the) greediness
نَفۡسِهِۦ
nafsihi
(of) his soul
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
(are) the successful ones
١٦
64:17
إِن
in
If
تُقۡرِضُواْ
tuq'ridu
you loan
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
(to) Allah
قَرۡضًا
qardan
a loan
حَسَنٗا
hasanan
goodly
يُضَٰعِفۡهُ
yuda'if'hu
He will multiply it
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَيَغۡفِرۡ
wayaghfir
and will forgive
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum
you
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
شَكُورٌ
shakurun
(is) Most Appreciative
حَلِيمٌ
halimun
Most Forbearing
