3:33

۞إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laahaṣ

Allah

ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓ

ṭafaaa

chose

ءَادَمَ

ʹAadama

Adam

وَنُوحٗا

wa-Nooḥañw

and Nuh

وَءَالَ

waʹAala

and (the) family

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ʹIbraaheema

(of) Ibrahim

وَءَالَ

wa-ʹAala

and (the) family

عِمۡرَٰنَ

ʻImraana

(of) Imran

عَلَى

ʻalal

over

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

ʻaalameen,

the worlds

٣٣

3:34

ذُرِّيَّةَۢ

Ẓurreeyyatam

Descendents

بَعۡضُهَا

baʻḍuhaa

some of them

مِنۢ

mim

from

بَعۡضٖۗ

baʻḍ:

others

وَٱللَّهُ

wallaahu

And Allah

سَمِيعٌ

Sameeʻun

(is) All-Hearing

عَلِيمٌ

ʻAleem.

All-Knowing

٣٤

3:35

إِذۡ

ʹIẓ

When

قَالَتِ

q̣aalat

[she] said

ٱمۡرَأَتُ

imraʹatu

(the) wife

عِمۡرَٰنَ

ʻImraana

(of) Imran

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

إِنِّي

ʹinnee

Indeed I

نَذَرۡتُ

naẓartu

[I] vowed

لَكَ

laka

to You

مَا

maa-

what

فِي

fee

(is) in

بَطۡنِي

baṭnee

my womb

مُحَرَّرٗا

muḥarrarañ

dedicated

فَتَقَبَّلۡ

fataq̣abbal

so accept

مِنِّيٓۖ

minnee:

from me

إِنَّكَ

ʹinnaka

Indeed You

أَنتَ

ʹAñtas

You

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

Sameeʻul

(are) the All-Hearing

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

ʻAleem.

the All-Knowing

٣٥

3:36

فَلَمَّا

Falammaa

Then when

وَضَعَتۡهَا

waḍaʻathaa

she delivered her

قَالَتۡ

q̣aalat

she said

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

إِنِّي

ʹinnee

indeed I

وَضَعۡتُهَآ

waḍaʻtuhaaa

[I] (have) delivered [her]

أُنثَىٰ

ʹuñs̤aa!

a female

وَٱللَّهُ

Wallaahu

And Allah

أَعۡلَمُ

ʹAʻlamu

knows better

بِمَا

bimaa

[of] what

وَضَعَتۡ

waḍaʻat

she delivered

وَلَيۡسَ

wa-laysaẓ

and is not

ٱلذَّكَرُ

ẓakaru

the male

كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ

kalʹuñs̤aa.

like the female

وَإِنِّي

Waʹinnee

And that I

سَمَّيۡتُهَا

sammaytuhaa

[I] (have) named her

مَرۡيَمَ

Maryama

Maryam

وَإِنِّيٓ

waʹinneee

and that I

أُعِيذُهَا

ʹuʻeeẓuhaa

[I] seek refuge for her

بِكَ

bika

in You

وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا

waẓurriyatahaa

and her offspring

مِنَ

minash

from

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ

Shayṭaanir

the Shaitaan

ٱلرَّجِيمِ

Rajeem.

the rejected

٣٦

3:37

فَتَقَبَّلَهَا

Fataq̣abbalahaa

So accepted her

رَبُّهَا

Rabbuhaa

her Lord

بِقَبُولٍ

biq̣aboolin

with acceptance

حَسَنٖ

ḥasaniñw

good

وَأَنۢبَتَهَا

waʹambatahaa

and reared her

نَبَاتًا

nabaatan

a rearing

حَسَنٗا

ḥasanañw

good

وَكَفَّلَهَا

wakaffalahaa

and put her in (the) care

زَكَرِيَّاۖ

Zakariyyaa.

(of) Zakariya

كُلَّمَا

Kullamaa

Whenever

دَخَلَ

dakhala

entered

عَلَيۡهَا

ʻalayhaa

upon her

زَكَرِيَّا

Zakariyyal

Zakariya

ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ

Miḥraaba

[the] prayer chamber

وَجَدَ

wajada

he found

عِندَهَا

ʻiñdahaa

with her

رِزۡقٗاۖ

rizq̣aa.

provision

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yaa-Maryamuʹ

O Maryam

أَنَّىٰ

annaa

From where

لَكِ

laki

for you

هَٰذَاۖ

haaẓaa?

(is) this

قَالَتۡ

Q̣aalat

She said

هُوَ

huwa

This

مِنۡ

min

(is)

عِندِ

ʻiñdil

from

ٱللَّهِۖ

laah:

Allah

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laha

Allah

يَرۡزُقُ

yarzuq̣u

gives provision

مَن

mañy

(to) whom

يَشَآءُ

yashaaaʹu

He wills

بِغَيۡرِ

big̣ayri

without

حِسَابٍ

ḥisaab.

measure

هُنَالِكَ

Hunaalika

There only

دَعَا

daʻaa

invoked

زَكَرِيَّا

Zakariyyaa

Zakariya

رَبَّهُۥۖ

Rabbah:

his Lord

قَالَ

q̣aala

he said

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

هَبۡ

hab

grant

لِي

lee

[for] me

مِن

mil

from

لَّدُنكَ

laduñka

Yourself

ذُرِّيَّةٗ

ẓurriyyatañ

offspring

طَيِّبَةًۖ

ṭayyibah:

pure

إِنَّكَ

ʹinnaka

Indeed You

سَمِيعُ

Sameeʻud

(are) All-Hearer

ٱلدُّعَآءِ

duʻaaaʹ.

(of) the prayer

٣٨

3:39

فَنَادَتۡهُ

Fannaadathul

Then called him

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

malaaʹikatu

the Angels

وَهُوَ

wa-huwa

when he

قَآئِمٞ

q̣aaʹimuñy

(was) standing

يُصَلِّي

yuṣallee

praying

فِي

fil

ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ

Miḥraabi

the prayer chamber

أَنَّ

ʹannal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

يُبَشِّرُكَ

yubashshiruka

gives you glad tidings

بِيَحۡيَىٰ

bi-Yaḥyaa

of Yahya

مُصَدِّقَۢا

muṣaddiq̣am

confirming

بِكَلِمَةٖ

bi-Kalimatim

[of] a Word

مِّنَ

minal

from

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

وَسَيِّدٗا

wa-sayyidañw

and a noble

وَحَصُورٗا

waḥaṣurañw

and chaste

وَنَبِيّٗا

wa-Nabiyyam

and a Prophet

مِّنَ

minaṣ

among

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

ṣaaliḥeen.

the righteous

٣٩

3:40

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

أَنَّىٰ

ʹannaa

how

يَكُونُ

yakoonu

can (there) be

لِي

lee

for me

غُلَٰمٞ

g̣ulaamuñw

a son

وَقَدۡ

waq̣ad

and verily

بَلَغَنِيَ

balag̣aniyal

has reached me

ٱلۡكِبَرُ

kibaru

[the] old age

وَٱمۡرَأَتِي

wam-raʹatee

and my wife

عَاقِرٞۖ

ʻaaq̣ir?

(is) [a] barren

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

كَذَٰلِكَ

kaẓaalikal

Thus

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah

يَفۡعَلُ

yafʻalu

does

مَا

maa-

what

يَشَآءُ

yashaaʹ.

He wills

٤٠

3:41

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

رَبِّ

Rabbij

My Lord

ٱجۡعَل

ʻal

make

لِّيٓ

Leee

for me

ءَايَةٗۖ

ʹAayah!

a sign

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

ءَايَتُكَ

ʹAayatuka

your sign

أَلَّا

ʹallaa

(is) that not

تُكَلِّمَ

tukalliman

you will speak

ٱلنَّاسَ

naasa

(to) the people

ثَلَٰثَةَ

s̤alaas̤ata

(for) three

أَيَّامٍ

ʹayyaamin

days

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

except

رَمۡزٗاۗ

ramzaa.

(with) gestures

وَٱذۡكُر

Waẓkur

And remember

رَّبَّكَ

Rabbaka

your Lord

كَثِيرٗا

kas̤eerañw

much

وَسَبِّحۡ

wasabbiḥ

and glorify (Him)

بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ

bilʻashiyyi

in the evening

وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ

wal-ʹib-kaar.

and (in) the morning

٤١

3:42

وَإِذۡ

Wa-ʹiẓ

And when

قَالَتِ

q̣aa-latil

said

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

malaaaʹikatu

the Angels

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yaa-Maryamu

O Maryam

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laahaṣ

Allah

ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ

ṭafaaki

(has) chosen you

وَطَهَّرَكِ

waṭahharaki

and purified you

وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ

waṣṭafaaki

and chosen you

عَلَىٰ

ʻalaa

over

نِسَآءِ

nisaaʹil

(the) women

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

ʻaalameen.

(of) the worlds

٤٢

3:43

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

Yaa-Maryamu

O Maryam

ٱقۡنُتِي

uq̣nutee

Be obedient

لِرَبِّكِ

li-Rabbiki

to your Lord

وَٱسۡجُدِي

wasjudee

and prostrate

وَٱرۡكَعِي

warkaʻee

and bow down

مَعَ

maʻar

with

ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ

raakiʻeen.

those who bow down

٤٣

3:44

ذَٰلِكَ

Ẓaalika

That

مِنۡ

min

(is) from

أَنۢبَآءِ

ʹambaaaʹil

(the) news

ٱلۡغَيۡبِ

g̣aybi

(of) the unseen

نُوحِيهِ

noo-ḥeehi

We reveal it

إِلَيۡكَۚ

ʹilayk.

to you

وَمَا

Wa-maa

And not

كُنتَ

kuñta

you were

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

with them

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

يُلۡقُونَ

yulq̣oona

they cast

أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ

ʹaq̣laamahum

their pens

أَيُّهُمۡ

ʹayyuhum

(as to) which of them

يَكۡفُلُ

yak-fulu

takes charge (of)

مَرۡيَمَ

Maryam:

Maryam

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

كُنتَ

kuñta

you were

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

with them

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

يَخۡتَصِمُونَ

yakhtaṣimoon.

they (were) disputing

٤٤

3:45

إِذۡ

ʹIẓ

When

قَالَتِ

q̣aa-latil

said

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

malaaaʹikatu

the Angels

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yaa-Maryamu

O Maryam

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

يُبَشِّرُكِ

yubashshiruki

gives you glad tidings

بِكَلِمَةٖ

bi-Kalimatim

of a word

مِّنۡهُ

minhus

from Him

ٱسۡمُهُ

muhul

his name

ٱلۡمَسِيحُ

Maseeḥu

(is) the Messiah

عِيسَى

ʻEesab

Isa

ٱبۡنُ

son

مَرۡيَمَ

Maryama

(of) Maryam

وَجِيهٗا

wajeehañ

honored

فِي

fid

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

dunyaa

the world

وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

wal-ʹAakhirati

and (in) the Hereafter

وَمِنَ

wa-minal

and of

ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ

Muq̣arrabeen.

those brought near (to Allah)

٤٥

3:46

وَيُكَلِّمُ

Wa-yukallimun

And he will speak

ٱلنَّاسَ

naasa

(to) the people

فِي

fil

ٱلۡمَهۡدِ

mahdi

the cradle

وَكَهۡلٗا

wa-kahlañw

and (in) maturity

وَمِنَ

waminaṣ

and (he will be) of

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

ṣaaliheen.

the righteous

٤٦

3:47

قَالَتۡ

Q̣aalat

She said

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

أَنَّىٰ

ʹannaa

how

يَكُونُ

yakoonu

is [it]

لِي

lee

for me

وَلَدٞ

waladuñw

a boy

وَلَمۡ

wa-lam

and (has) not

يَمۡسَسۡنِي

yamsasnee

touch(ed) me

بَشَرٞۖ

bashar.

any man

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

كَذَٰلِكِ

kaẓaalikil

Thus

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah

يَخۡلُقُ

yakhlaq̣u

creates

مَا

maa-

what

يَشَآءُۚ

yashaaaʹ:

He wills

إِذَا

ʹiẓaa

When

قَضَىٰٓ

q̣aẓaaa

He decrees

أَمۡرٗا

ʹamrañ

a matter

فَإِنَّمَا

faʹinnamaa

then only

يَقُولُ

yaq̣oolu

He says

لَهُۥ

lahoo

to it

كُن

ʻKUÑʹ

فَيَكُونُ

fayakoon!

and it becomes

٤٧

3:48

وَيُعَلِّمُهُ

Wa-yuʻallimuhul

And He will teach him

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

Kitaaba

the Book

وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ

wal-Ḥikmata

and [the] wisdom

وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ

wat-Tawraata

and the Taurat

وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ

wal-ʹIñjeel,

and the Injeel

٤٨

3:49

وَرَسُولًا

Wa-Rasoolanʹ

And (make him) a Messenger

إِلَىٰ

ilaa

بَنِيٓ

Baneee

(the) Children

إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ

ʹIsraaaʹeel:

(of) Israel

أَنِّي

ʹannee

Indeed I

قَدۡ

q̣ad

[surely]

جِئۡتُكُم

jiʹtukum̃

[I] (have) come (to) you

بِـَٔايَةٖ

biʹaayatim

with a sign

مِّن

mir

from

رَّبِّكُمۡ

Rabbikum

your Lord

أَنِّيٓ

ʹanneee

that I

أَخۡلُقُ

ʹakhulq̣u

[I] design

لَكُم

lakum

for you

مِّنَ

minaṭ

from

ٱلطِّينِ

ṭeeni

[the] clay

كَهَيۡـَٔةِ

kahayʹatiṭ

like the form

ٱلطَّيۡرِ

ṭayri

(of) the bird

فَأَنفُخُ

faʹanñfukhu

then I breath

فِيهِ

feehi

into it

فَيَكُونُ

fayakoonu

and it becomes

طَيۡرَۢا

ṭayram

a bird

بِإِذۡنِ

biʹiẓnil

by (the) permission

ٱللَّهِۖ

laaḥ.

(of) Allah

وَأُبۡرِئُ

Waʹubriʹul

And I cure

ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ

ʹakmaha

the blind

وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ

wal-ʹabraṣa

and the leper

وَأُحۡيِ

waʹuḥyil

and I give life

ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ

mawtaa

(to) the dead

بِإِذۡنِ

biʹiẓnil

by (the) permission

ٱللَّهِۖ

laah.

(of) Allah

وَأُنَبِّئُكُم

Waʹunabbiʹukum̃

And I inform you

بِمَا

bimaa

of what

تَأۡكُلُونَ

taʹkuloona

you eat

وَمَا

wamaa

and what

تَدَّخِرُونَ

taddakhi

you store

فِي

fee

بُيُوتِكُمۡۚ

bayootikum.

your houses

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

فِي

fee

ذَٰلِكَ

ẓaalika

that

لَأٓيَةٗ

laʹaayatal

(is) surely a sign

لَّكُمۡ

lakum

for you

إِن

ʹiñ

كُنتُم

kuñtum

you are

مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

Muʹmineen;

believers

٤٩

3:50

وَمُصَدِّقٗا

Wa-Muṣaddiq̣al

And confirming

لِّمَا

limaa

that which

بَيۡنَ

bayna

(was)

يَدَيَّ

yadayya

before me

مِنَ

minat

ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ

Tawraati

the Taurat

وَلِأُحِلَّ

wa-liʹuḥilla

and so that I make lawful

لَكُم

lakum̃

for you

بَعۡضَ

baʻḍal

some

ٱلَّذِي

laẓee

(of) that which

حُرِّمَ

ḥurrima

was forbidden

عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ

ʻalaykum

to you

وَجِئۡتُكُم

wa-jiʹtukum̃

And I (have) come to you

بِـَٔايَةٖ

biʹAayatim

with a sign

مِّن

mir

from

رَّبِّكُمۡ

Rabbikum,

your Lord

فَٱتَّقُواْ

fattaq̣ul

So fear

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

وَأَطِيعُونِ

waʹaṭeeʻoon.

and obey me

٥٠

3:51

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

رَبِّي

Rabbee

(is) my Lord

وَرَبُّكُمۡ

wa-Rabbukum

and your Lord

فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ

faʻbudooh.

so worship Him

هَٰذَا

Haaẓaa

This

صِرَٰطٞ

Ṣiraṭum

(is) the path

مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ

mustaq̣eem.

straight
