3:33

۞إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓ

is'tafa

chose

ءَادَمَ

adama

Adam

وَنُوحٗا

wanuhan

and Nuh

وَءَالَ

waala

and (the) family

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rahima

(of) Ibrahim

وَءَالَ

waala

and (the) family

عِمۡرَٰنَ

im'rana

(of) Imran

عَلَى

ala

over

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

al-'alamina

the worlds

٣٣

3:34

ذُرِّيَّةَۢ

dhurriyyatan

Descendents

بَعۡضُهَا

ba'duha

some of them

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعۡضٖۗ

ba'din

others

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

سَمِيعٌ

sami'un

(is) All-Hearing

عَلِيمٌ

alimun

All-Knowing

٣٤

3:35

إِذۡ

idh

When

قَالَتِ

qalati

[she] said

ٱمۡرَأَتُ

im'ra-atu

(the) wife

عِمۡرَٰنَ

im'rana

(of) Imran

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed I

نَذَرۡتُ

nadhartu

[I] vowed

لَكَ

laka

to You

مَا

what

فِي

(is) in

بَطۡنِي

batni

my womb

مُحَرَّرٗا

muharraran

dedicated

فَتَقَبَّلۡ

fataqabbal

so accept

مِنِّيٓۖ

minni

from me

إِنَّكَ

innaka

Indeed You

أَنتَ

anta

You

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

al-sami'u

(are) the All-Hearing

ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

al-'alimu

the All-Knowing

٣٥

3:36

فَلَمَّا

falamma

Then when

وَضَعَتۡهَا

wada'atha

she delivered her

قَالَتۡ

qalat

she said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

إِنِّي

inni

indeed I

وَضَعۡتُهَآ

wada'tuha

[I] (have) delivered [her]

أُنثَىٰ

untha

a female

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

أَعۡلَمُ

a'lamu

knows better

بِمَا

bima

[of] what

وَضَعَتۡ

wada'at

she delivered

وَلَيۡسَ

walaysa

and is not

ٱلذَّكَرُ

al-dhakaru

the male

كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ

kal-untha

like the female

وَإِنِّي

wa-inni

And that I

سَمَّيۡتُهَا

sammaytuha

[I] (have) named her

مَرۡيَمَ

maryama

Maryam

وَإِنِّيٓ

wa-inni

and that I

أُعِيذُهَا

u'idhuha

[I] seek refuge for her

بِكَ

bika

in You

وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا

wadhurriyyataha

and her offspring

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ

al-shaytani

the Shaitaan

ٱلرَّجِيمِ

al-rajimi

the rejected

٣٦

3:37

فَتَقَبَّلَهَا

fataqabbalaha

So accepted her

رَبُّهَا

rabbuha

her Lord

بِقَبُولٍ

biqabulin

with acceptance

حَسَنٖ

hasanin

good

وَأَنۢبَتَهَا

wa-anbataha

and reared her

نَبَاتًا

nabatan

a rearing

حَسَنٗا

hasanan

good

وَكَفَّلَهَا

wakaffalaha

and put her in (the) care

زَكَرِيَّاۖ

zakariyya

(of) Zakariya

كُلَّمَا

kullama

Whenever

دَخَلَ

dakhala

entered

عَلَيۡهَا

alayha

upon her

زَكَرِيَّا

zakariyya

Zakariya

ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ

al-mih'raba

[the] prayer chamber

وَجَدَ

wajada

he found

عِندَهَا

indaha

with her

رِزۡقٗاۖ

riz'qan

provision

قَالَ

qala

He said

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yamaryamu

O Maryam

أَنَّىٰ

anna

From where

لَكِ

laki

for you

هَٰذَاۖ

hadha

(is) this

قَالَتۡ

qalat

She said

هُوَ

huwa

This

مِنۡ

min

(is)

عِندِ

indi

from

ٱللَّهِۖ

al-lahi

Allah

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

يَرۡزُقُ

yarzuqu

gives provision

مَن

man

(to) whom

يَشَآءُ

yashau

He wills

بِغَيۡرِ

bighayri

without

حِسَابٍ

hisabin

measure

٣٧

3:38

هُنَالِكَ

hunalika

There only

دَعَا

da'a

invoked

زَكَرِيَّا

zakariyya

Zakariya

رَبَّهُۥۖ

rabbahu

his Lord

قَالَ

qala

he said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

هَبۡ

hab

grant

لِي

[for] me

مِن

min

from

لَّدُنكَ

ladunka

Yourself

ذُرِّيَّةٗ

dhurriyyatan

offspring

طَيِّبَةًۖ

tayyibatan

pure

إِنَّكَ

innaka

Indeed You

سَمِيعُ

sami'u

(are) All-Hearer

ٱلدُّعَآءِ

al-du'ai

(of) the prayer

٣٨

3:39

فَنَادَتۡهُ

fanadathu

Then called him

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

al-malaikatu

the Angels

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

when he

قَآئِمٞ

qaimun

(was) standing

يُصَلِّي

yusalli

praying

فِي

ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ

al-mih'rabi

the prayer chamber

أَنَّ

anna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

يُبَشِّرُكَ

yubashiruka

gives you glad tidings

بِيَحۡيَىٰ

biyahya

of Yahya

مُصَدِّقَۢا

musaddiqan

confirming

بِكَلِمَةٖ

bikalimatin

[of] a Word

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

Allah

وَسَيِّدٗا

wasayyidan

and a noble

وَحَصُورٗا

wahasuran

and chaste

وَنَبِيّٗا

wanabiyyan

and a Prophet

مِّنَ

mina

among

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

al-salihina

the righteous

٣٩

3:40

قَالَ

qala

He said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

أَنَّىٰ

anna

how

يَكُونُ

yakunu

can (there) be

لِي

for me

غُلَٰمٞ

ghulamun

a son

وَقَدۡ

waqad

and verily

بَلَغَنِيَ

balaghaniya

has reached me

ٱلۡكِبَرُ

al-kibaru

[the] old age

وَٱمۡرَأَتِي

wa-im'ra-ati

and my wife

عَاقِرٞۖ

aqirun

(is) [a] barren

قَالَ

qala

He said

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhalika

Thus

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah

يَفۡعَلُ

yaf 'alu

does

مَا

what

يَشَآءُ

yashau

He wills

٤٠

3:41

قَالَ

qala

He said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

ٱجۡعَل

ij'al

make

لِّيٓ

for me

ءَايَةٗۖ

ayatan

a sign

قَالَ

qala

He said

ءَايَتُكَ

ayatuka

your sign

أَلَّا

alla

(is) that not

تُكَلِّمَ

tukallima

you will speak

ٱلنَّاسَ

al-nasa

(to) the people

ثَلَٰثَةَ

thalathata

(for) three

أَيَّامٍ

ayyamin

days

إِلَّا

illa

except

رَمۡزٗاۗ

ramzan

(with) gestures

وَٱذۡكُر

wa-udh'kur

And remember

رَّبَّكَ

rabbaka

your Lord

كَثِيرٗا

kathiran

much

وَسَبِّحۡ

wasabbih

and glorify (Him)

بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ

bil-'ashiyi

in the evening

وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ

wal-ib'kari

and (in) the morning

٤١

3:42

وَإِذۡ

wa-idh

And when

قَالَتِ

qalati

said

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

al-malaikatu

the Angels

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yamaryamu

O Maryam

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ

is'tafaki

(has) chosen you

وَطَهَّرَكِ

watahharaki

and purified you

وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ

wa-is'tafaki

and chosen you

عَلَىٰ

ala

over

نِسَآءِ

nisai

(the) women

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

al-'alamina

(of) the worlds

٤٢

3:43

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yamaryamu

O Maryam

ٱقۡنُتِي

uq'nuti

Be obedient

لِرَبِّكِ

lirabbiki

to your Lord

وَٱسۡجُدِي

wa-us'judi

and prostrate

وَٱرۡكَعِي

wa-ir'ka'i

and bow down

مَعَ

ma'a

with

ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ

al-raki'ina

those who bow down

٤٣

3:44

ذَٰلِكَ

dhalika

That

مِنۡ

min

(is) from

أَنۢبَآءِ

anbai

(the) news

ٱلۡغَيۡبِ

al-ghaybi

(of) the unseen

نُوحِيهِ

nuhihi

We reveal it

إِلَيۡكَۚ

ilayka

to you

وَمَا

wama

And not

كُنتَ

kunta

you were

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

with them

إِذۡ

idh

when

يُلۡقُونَ

yul'quna

they cast

أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ

aqlamahum

their pens

أَيُّهُمۡ

ayyuhum

(as to) which of them

يَكۡفُلُ

yakfulu

takes charge (of)

مَرۡيَمَ

maryama

Maryam

وَمَا

wama

and not

كُنتَ

kunta

you were

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

with them

إِذۡ

idh

when

يَخۡتَصِمُونَ

yakhtasimuna

they (were) disputing

٤٤

3:45

إِذۡ

idh

When

قَالَتِ

qalati

said

ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ

al-malaikatu

the Angels

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yamaryamu

O Maryam

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

يُبَشِّرُكِ

yubashiruki

gives you glad tidings

بِكَلِمَةٖ

bikalimatin

of a word

مِّنۡهُ

min'hu

from Him

ٱسۡمُهُ

us'muhu

his name

ٱلۡمَسِيحُ

al-masihu

(is) the Messiah

عِيسَى

isa

Isa

ٱبۡنُ

ub'nu

son

مَرۡيَمَ

maryama

(of) Maryam

وَجِيهٗا

wajihan

honored

فِي

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

al-dun'ya

the world

وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

wal-akhirati

and (in) the Hereafter

وَمِنَ

wamina

and of

ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ

al-muqarabina

those brought near (to Allah)

٤٥

3:46

وَيُكَلِّمُ

wayukallimu

And he will speak

ٱلنَّاسَ

al-nasa

(to) the people

فِي

ٱلۡمَهۡدِ

al-mahdi

the cradle

وَكَهۡلٗا

wakahlan

and (in) maturity

وَمِنَ

wamina

and (he will be) of

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

al-salihina

the righteous

٤٦

3:47

قَالَتۡ

qalat

She said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

أَنَّىٰ

anna

how

يَكُونُ

yakunu

is [it]

لِي

for me

وَلَدٞ

waladun

a boy

وَلَمۡ

walam

and (has) not

يَمۡسَسۡنِي

yamsasni

touch(ed) me

بَشَرٞۖ

basharun

any man

قَالَ

qala

He said

كَذَٰلِكِ

kadhaliki

Thus

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah

يَخۡلُقُ

yakhluqu

creates

مَا

what

يَشَآءُۚ

yashau

He wills

إِذَا

idha

When

قَضَىٰٓ

qada

He decrees

أَمۡرٗا

amran

a matter

فَإِنَّمَا

fa-innama

then only

يَقُولُ

yaqulu

He says

لَهُۥ

lahu

to it

كُن

kun

فَيَكُونُ

fayakunu

and it becomes

٤٧

3:48

وَيُعَلِّمُهُ

wayu'allimuhu

And He will teach him

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

al-kitaba

the Book

وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ

wal-hik'mata

and [the] wisdom

وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ

wal-tawrata

and the Taurat

وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ

wal-injila

and the Injeel

٤٨

3:49

وَرَسُولًا

warasulan

And (make him) a Messenger

إِلَىٰ

ila

بَنِيٓ

bani

(the) Children

إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'raila

(of) Israel

أَنِّي

anni

Indeed I

قَدۡ

qad

[surely]

جِئۡتُكُم

ji'tukum

[I] (have) come (to) you

بِـَٔايَةٖ

biayatin

with a sign

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّكُمۡ

rabbikum

your Lord

أَنِّيٓ

anni

that I

أَخۡلُقُ

akhluqu

[I] design

لَكُم

lakum

for you

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱلطِّينِ

al-tini

[the] clay

كَهَيۡـَٔةِ

kahayati

like the form

ٱلطَّيۡرِ

al-tayri

(of) the bird

فَأَنفُخُ

fa-anfukhu

then I breath

فِيهِ

fihi

into it

فَيَكُونُ

fayakunu

and it becomes

طَيۡرَۢا

tayran

a bird

بِإِذۡنِ

bi-idh'ni

by (the) permission

ٱللَّهِۖ

al-lahi

(of) Allah

وَأُبۡرِئُ

wa-ub'ri-u

And I cure

ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ

al-akmaha

the blind

وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ

wal-abrasa

and the leper

وَأُحۡيِ

wa-uh'yi

and I give life

ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ

al-mawta

(to) the dead

بِإِذۡنِ

bi-idh'ni

by (the) permission

ٱللَّهِۖ

al-lahi

(of) Allah

وَأُنَبِّئُكُم

wa-unabbi-ukum

And I inform you

بِمَا

bima

of what

تَأۡكُلُونَ

takuluna

you eat

وَمَا

wama

and what

تَدَّخِرُونَ

taddakhiruna

you store

فِي

بُيُوتِكُمۡۚ

buyutikum

your houses

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

فِي

ذَٰلِكَ

dhalika

that

لَأٓيَةٗ

laayatan

(is) surely a sign

لَّكُمۡ

lakum

for you

إِن

كُنتُم

kuntum

you are

مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

mu'minina

believers

٤٩

3:50

وَمُصَدِّقٗا

wamusaddiqan

And confirming

لِّمَا

lima

that which

بَيۡنَ

bayna

(was)

يَدَيَّ

yadayya

before me

مِنَ

mina

ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ

al-tawrati

the Taurat

وَلِأُحِلَّ

wali-uhilla

and so that I make lawful

لَكُم

lakum

for you

بَعۡضَ

ba'da

some

ٱلَّذِي

alladhi

(of) that which

حُرِّمَ

hurrima

was forbidden

عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ

alaykum

to you

وَجِئۡتُكُم

waji'tukum

And I (have) come to you

بِـَٔايَةٖ

biayatin

with a sign

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّكُمۡ

rabbikum

your Lord

فَٱتَّقُواْ

fa-ittaqu

So fear

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

وَأَطِيعُونِ

wa-ati'uni

and obey me

٥٠

3:51

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

رَبِّي

rabbi

(is) my Lord

وَرَبُّكُمۡ

warabbukum

and your Lord

فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ

fa-u'buduhu

so worship Him

هَٰذَا

hadha

This

صِرَٰطٞ

siratun

(is) the path

مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ

mus'taqimun

straight
