46:2تَنزِيلُtanzilu(The) revelationٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabi(of) the Bookمِنَmina(is) fromٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahٱلۡعَزِيزِal-'azizithe All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمِal-hakimithe All-Wise٢
46:3مَاmaNotخَلَقۡنَاkhalaqnaWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaand the earthوَمَاwamaand whatبَيۡنَهُمَآbaynahuma(is) between both of themإِلَّاillaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّbil-haqiin truthوَأَجَلٖwa-ajalinand (for) a termمُّسَمّٗىۚmusammanappointedوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveعَمَّآammafrom whatأُنذِرُواْundhiruthey are warnedمُعۡرِضُونَmu'riduna(are) turning away٣
46:4قُلۡqulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمara-aytumDo you seeمَّاmawhatتَدۡعُونَtad'unayou callمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahأَرُونِيaruniShow meمَاذَاmadhawhatخَلَقُواْkhalaquthey have createdمِنَminaofٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthأَمۡamorلَهُمۡlahumfor themشِرۡكٞshir'kun(is) any shareفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِۖal-samawatithe heavensٱئۡتُونِيi'tuniBring meبِكِتَٰبٖbikitabina bookمِّنminfromقَبۡلِqablibeforeهَٰذَآhadhathisأَوۡaworأَثَٰرَةٖatharatina traceمِّنۡminofعِلۡمٍil'minknowledgeإِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٤
46:5وَمَنۡwamanAnd whoأَضَلُّadallu(is) more astrayمِمَّنmimmanthan (he) whoيَدۡعُواْyad'ucallsمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَنmanwhoلَّاlawill not respondيَسۡتَجِيبُyastajibuwill not respondلَهُۥٓlahuto himإِلَىٰilauntilيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِal-qiyamati(of) Resurrectionوَهُمۡwahumand theyعَنanofدُعَآئِهِمۡdu'aihimtheir callsغَٰفِلُونَghafiluna(are) unaware٥
46:6وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenحُشِرَhushiraare gatheredٱلنَّاسُal-nasuthe peopleكَانُواْkanuthey will beلَهُمۡlahumfor themأَعۡدَآءٗa'daanenemiesوَكَانُواْwakanuand they will beبِعِبَادَتِهِمۡbi'ibadatihimof their worshipكَٰفِرِينَkafirinadeniers٦
46:7وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰtut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimto themءَايَٰتُنَاayatunaOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٖbayyinatinclearقَالَqalasayٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveلِلۡحَقِّlil'haqqiof the truthلَمَّاlammawhenجَآءَهُمۡjaahumit comes to themهَٰذَاhadhaThisسِحۡرٞsih'run(is) a magicمُّبِينٌmubinunclear٧
46:8أَمۡamOrيَقُولُونَyaqulunathey sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖif'tarahuHe has invented itقُلۡqulSayإِنِiniIfٱفۡتَرَيۡتُهُۥif'taraytuhuI have invented itفَلَاfalathen notتَمۡلِكُونَtamlikunayou have powerلِيlifor meمِنَminaagainstٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahشَيۡـًٔاۖshayananythingهُوَhuwaHeأَعۡلَمُa'lamuknows bestبِمَاbimaof whatتُفِيضُونَtufidunayou utterفِيهِۚfihiconcerning itكَفَىٰkafaSufficient is HeبِهِۦbihiSufficient is Heشَهِيدَۢاshahidan(as) a Witnessبَيۡنِيbaynibetween meوَبَيۡنَكُمۡۖwabaynakumand between youوَهُوَwahuwaand Heٱلۡغَفُورُal-ghafuru(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُal-rahimuthe Most Merciful٨
46:9قُلۡqulSayمَاmaNotكُنتُkuntuI amبِدۡعٗاbid'ana new (one)مِّنَminaamongٱلرُّسُلِal-rusulithe Messengersوَمَآwamaand notأَدۡرِيadriI knowمَاmawhatيُفۡعَلُyuf'aluwill be doneبِيbiwith meوَلَاwalaand notبِكُمۡۖbikumwith youإِنۡinNotأَتَّبِعُattabi'uI followإِلَّاillabutمَاmawhatيُوحَىٰٓyuhais revealedإِلَيَّilayyato meوَمَآwamaand notأَنَا۠anaI amإِلَّاillabutنَذِيرٞnadhiruna warnerمُّبِينٞmubinunclear٩
46:10قُلۡqulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡara-aytumDo you seeإِنinifكَانَkanait isمِنۡminfrom Allahعِندِindifrom Allahٱللَّهِal-lahifrom Allahوَكَفَرۡتُمwakafartumand you disbelieveبِهِۦbihiin itوَشَهِدَwashahidaand testifiesشَاهِدٞshahiduna witnessمِّنۢminfromبَنِيٓbani(the) Children of Israelإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَis'raila(the) Children of Israelعَلَىٰalatoمِثۡلِهِۦmith'lihi(the) like thereofفَـَٔامَنَfaamanathen he believedوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡۚwa-is'takbartumwhile you are arrogantإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَهۡدِيyahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَal-qawmathe peopleٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers١٠
46:11وَقَالَwaqalaAnd sayٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveلِلَّذِينَlilladhinaof those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveلَوۡlawIfكَانَkanait had beenخَيۡرٗاkhayrangoodمَّاmanotسَبَقُونَآsabaqunathey (would) have preceded usإِلَيۡهِۚilayhito itوَإِذۡwa-idhAnd whenلَمۡlamnotيَهۡتَدُواْyahtaduthey (are) guidedبِهِۦbihiby itفَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqulunathey sayهَٰذَآhadhaThisإِفۡكٞif'kun(is) a lieقَدِيمٞqadimunancient١١
46:12وَمِنwaminAnd before itقَبۡلِهِۦqablihiAnd before itكِتَٰبُkitabu(was the) Scriptureمُوسَىٰٓmusa(of) Musaإِمَامٗاimaman(as) a guideوَرَحۡمَةٗۚwarahmatanand a mercyوَهَٰذَاwahadhaAnd thisكِتَٰبٞkitabun(is) a Bookمُّصَدِّقٞmusaddiqunconfirmingلِّسَانًاlisanan(in) languageعَرَبِيّٗاarabiyyanArabicلِّيُنذِرَliyundhirato warnٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoظَلَمُواْzalamudo wrongوَبُشۡرَىٰwabush'raand (as) glad tidingsلِلۡمُحۡسِنِينَlil'muh'sininafor the good-doers١٢
46:13إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoقَالُواْqalusayرَبُّنَاrabbunaOur Lordٱللَّهُal-lahu(is) Allahثُمَّthummathenٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْis'taqamuremain firmفَلَاfalathen noخَوۡفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimon themوَلَاwalaand notهُمۡhumtheyيَحۡزَنُونَyahzanunawill grieve١٣
46:14أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseخَٰلِدِينَkhalidinaabiding foreverفِيهَاfihathereinجَزَآءَۢjazaana rewardبِمَاbimafor whatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَعۡمَلُونَya'malunado١٤
46:15وَوَصَّيۡنَاwawassaynaAnd We have enjoinedٱلۡإِنسَٰنَal-insana(on) manبِوَٰلِدَيۡهِbiwalidayhito his parentsإِحۡسَٰنًاۖih'sanankindnessحَمَلَتۡهُhamalathuCarried himأُمُّهُۥummuhuhis motherكُرۡهٗاkur'han(with) hardshipوَوَضَعَتۡهُwawada'athuand gave birth to himكُرۡهٗاۖkur'han(with) hardshipوَحَمۡلُهُۥwahamluhuAnd (the) bearing of himوَفِصَٰلُهُۥwafisaluhuand (the) weaning of himثَلَٰثُونَthalathuna(is) thirtyشَهۡرًاۚshahranmonth(s)حَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَاidhawhenبَلَغَbalaghahe reachesأَشُدَّهُۥashuddahuhis maturityوَبَلَغَwabalaghaand reachesأَرۡبَعِينَarba'inafortyسَنَةٗsanatanyear(s)قَالَqalahe saysرَبِّrabbiMy Lordأَوۡزِعۡنِيٓawzi'nigrant me (the) powerأَنۡanthatأَشۡكُرَashkuraI may be gratefulنِعۡمَتَكَni'mataka(for) Your favorٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَنۡعَمۡتَan'amtaYou have bestowedعَلَيَّalayyaupon meوَعَلَىٰwa'alaand uponوَٰلِدَيَّwalidayyamy parentsوَأَنۡwa-anand thatأَعۡمَلَa'malaI doصَٰلِحٗاsalihanrighteous (deeds)تَرۡضَىٰهُtardahuwhich please Youوَأَصۡلِحۡwa-aslihand make righteousلِيlifor meفِيfiamongذُرِّيَّتِيٓۖdhurriyyatimy offspringإِنِّيinniindeedتُبۡتُtub'tuI turnإِلَيۡكَilaykato Youوَإِنِّيwa-inniand indeed I amمِنَminaofٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَal-mus'liminathose who submit١٥
46:16أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) the onesنَتَقَبَّلُnataqabbaluWe will acceptعَنۡهُمۡanhumfrom themأَحۡسَنَahsana(the) bestمَاma(of) whatعَمِلُواْamiluthey didوَنَتَجَاوَزُwanatajawazuand We will overlookعَنan[from]سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡsayyiatihimtheir evil deedsفِيٓfiamongأَصۡحَٰبِashabi(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِۖal-janati(of) Paradiseوَعۡدَwa'daA promiseٱلصِّدۡقِal-sid'qitrueٱلَّذِيalladhiwhichكَانُواْkanuthey wereيُوعَدُونَyu'adunapromised١٦
46:17وَٱلَّذِيwa-alladhiBut the one whoقَالَqalasaysلِوَٰلِدَيۡهِliwalidayhito his parentsأُفّٖuffinUffلَّكُمَآlakumato both of youأَتَعِدَانِنِيٓata'idaniniDo you promise meأَنۡanthatأُخۡرَجَukh'rajaI will be brought forthوَقَدۡwaqadand have already passed awayخَلَتِkhalatiand have already passed awayٱلۡقُرُونُal-qurunuthe generationsمِنminbefore meقَبۡلِيqablibefore meوَهُمَاwahumaAnd they bothيَسۡتَغِيثَانِyastaghithaniseek helpٱللَّهَal-laha(of) AllahوَيۡلَكَwaylakaWoe to youءَامِنۡaminBelieveإِنَّinnaIndeedوَعۡدَwa'da(the) Promiseٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahحَقّٞhaqqun(is) trueفَيَقُولُfayaquluBut he saysمَاmaNotهَٰذَآhadha(is) thisإِلَّآillabutأَسَٰطِيرُasatiru(the) storiesٱلۡأَوَّلِينَal-awalina(of) the former (people)١٧
46:18أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThose ٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) the onesحَقَّhaqqa(has) proved trueعَلَيۡهِمُalayhimuagainst themٱلۡقَوۡلُal-qawluthe wordفِيٓfiamongأُمَمٖumaminnationsقَدۡqad(that) already passed awayخَلَتۡkhalat(that) already passed awayمِنminbefore themقَبۡلِهِمqablihimbefore themمِّنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jini(the) jinnوَٱلۡإِنسِۖwal-insiand the menإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkanuareخَٰسِرِينَkhasirina(the) losers١٨
46:19وَلِكُلّٖwalikullinAnd for allدَرَجَٰتٞdarajatun(are) degreesمِّمَّاmimmafor whatعَمِلُواْۖamiluthey didوَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡwaliyuwaffiyahumand that He may fully compensate themأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahum(for) their deedsوَهُمۡwahumand theyلَاlawill not be wrongedيُظۡلَمُونَyuz'lamunawill not be wronged١٩
46:20وَيَوۡمَwayawmaAnd (the) Dayيُعۡرَضُyu'raduwill be exposedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelievedعَلَىalatoٱلنَّارِal-narithe FireأَذۡهَبۡتُمۡadhhabtumYou exhaustedطَيِّبَٰتِكُمۡtayyibatikumyour good thingsفِيfiinحَيَاتِكُمُhayatikumuyour lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the worldوَٱسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُمwa-is'tamta'tumand you took your pleasuresبِهَاbihathereinفَٱلۡيَوۡمَfal-yawmaSo todayتُجۡزَوۡنَtuj'zawnayou will be recompensedعَذَابَadhaba(with) a punishmentٱلۡهُونِal-hunihumiliatingبِمَاbimabecauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَtastakbirunaarrogantفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthبِغَيۡرِbighayriwithoutٱلۡحَقِّal-haqi[the] rightوَبِمَاwabimaand becauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتَفۡسُقُونَtafsuqunadefiantly disobedient٢٠
