42:13
۞شَرَعَ
shara'a
He has ordained
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلدِّينِ
al-dini
the religion
مَا
ma
what
وَصَّىٰ
wassa
He enjoined
بِهِۦ
bihi
upon
نُوحٗا
nuhan
Nuh
وَٱلَّذِيٓ
wa-alladhi
and that which
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
awhayna
We have revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
وَمَا
wama
and what
وَصَّيۡنَا
wassayna
We enjoined
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
upon
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
وَمُوسَىٰ
wamusa
and Musa
وَعِيسَىٰٓۖ
wa'isa
and Isa
أَنۡ
an
To
أَقِيمُواْ
aqimu
establish
ٱلدِّينَ
al-dina
the religion
وَلَا
wala
and not
تَتَفَرَّقُواْ
tatafarraqu
be divided
فِيهِۚ
fihi
therein
كَبُرَ
kabura
Is difficult
عَلَى
ala
on
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
the polytheists
مَا
ma
what
تَدۡعُوهُمۡ
tad'uhum
you call them
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ilayhi
to it
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يَجۡتَبِيٓ
yajtabi
chooses
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
for Himself
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
وَيَهۡدِيٓ
wayahdi
and guides
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to Himself
مَن
man
whoever
يُنِيبُ
yunibu
turns
١٣
42:14
وَمَا
wama
And not
تَفَرَّقُوٓاْ
tafarraqu
they became divided
إِلَّا
illa
until
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَهُمُ
jaahumu
came to them
ٱلۡعِلۡمُ
al-'il'mu
the knowledge
بَغۡيَۢا
baghyan
(out of) rivalry
بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ
baynahum
among them
وَلَوۡلَا
walawla
And if not
كَلِمَةٞ
kalimatun
(for) a word
سَبَقَتۡ
sabaqat
(that) preceded
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musamman
specified
لَّقُضِيَ
laqudiya
surely it (would have) been settled
بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ
baynahum
between them
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُورِثُواْ
urithu
were made to inherit
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
مِنۢ
min
after them
بَعۡدِهِمۡ
ba'dihim
after them
لَفِي
lafi
(are) surely in
شَكّٖ
shakkin
doubt
مِّنۡهُ
min'hu
concerning it
مُرِيبٖ
muribin
disquieting
١٤
42:15
فَلِذَٰلِكَ
falidhalika
So to that
فَٱدۡعُۖ
fa-ud'u
then invite
وَٱسۡتَقِمۡ
wa-is'taqim
and stand firm
كَمَآ
kama
as
أُمِرۡتَۖ
umir'ta
you are commanded
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعۡ
tattabi'
follow
أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۖ
ahwaahum
their desires
وَقُلۡ
waqul
but say
ءَامَنتُ
amantu
I believe
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أَنزَلَ
anzala
Allah has sent down
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah has sent down
مِن
min
of
كِتَٰبٖۖ
kitabin
(the) Book
وَأُمِرۡتُ
wa-umir'tu
and I am commanded
لِأَعۡدِلَ
li-a'dila
that I do justice
بَيۡنَكُمُۖ
baynakumu
between you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
رَبُّنَا
rabbuna
(is) our Lord
وَرَبُّكُمۡۖ
warabbukum
and your Lord
لَنَآ
lana
For us
أَعۡمَٰلُنَا
a'maluna
our deeds
وَلَكُمۡ
walakum
and for you
أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡۖ
a'malukum
your deeds
لَا
la
(There is) no
حُجَّةَ
hujjata
argument
بَيۡنَنَا
baynana
between us
وَبَيۡنَكُمُۖ
wabaynakumu
and between you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يَجۡمَعُ
yajma'u
will assemble
بَيۡنَنَاۖ
baynana
[between] us
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
al-masiru
(is) the final return

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
يُحَآجُّونَ
yuhajjuna
argue
فِي
fi
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
ٱسۡتُجِيبَ
us'tujiba
response has been made to Him
لَهُۥ
lahu
response has been made to Him
حُجَّتُهُمۡ
hujjatuhum
their argument
دَاحِضَةٌ
dahidatun
(is) invalid
عِندَ
inda
with
رَبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
wa'alayhim
and upon them
غَضَبٞ
ghadabun
(is) wrath
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
shadidun
severe
١٦
42:17
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
(is) the One Who
أَنزَلَ
anzala
(has) sent down
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
in truth
وَٱلۡمِيزَانَۗ
wal-mizana
and the Balance
وَمَا
wama
And what
يُدۡرِيكَ
yud'rika
will make you know
لَعَلَّ
la'alla
Perhaps
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
al-sa'ata
the Hour
قَرِيبٞ
qaribun
(is) near
١٧
42:18
يَسۡتَعۡجِلُ
yasta'jilu
Seek to hasten
بِهَا
biha
[of] it
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
بِهَاۖ
biha
in it
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
مُشۡفِقُونَ
mush'fiquna
(are) fearful
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
of it
وَيَعۡلَمُونَ
waya'lamuna
and know
أَنَّهَا
annaha
that it
ٱلۡحَقُّۗ
al-haqu
(is) the truth
أَلَآ
ala
Unquestionably
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يُمَارُونَ
yumaruna
dispute
فِي
fi
concerning
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
al-sa'ati
the Hour
لَفِي
lafi
(are) certainly in
ضَلَٰلِۭ
dalalin
error
بَعِيدٍ
ba'idin
far
١٨
42:19
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
لَطِيفُۢ
latifun
(is) Subtle
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
bi'ibadihi
with His slaves
يَرۡزُقُ
yarzuqu
He gives provision
مَن
man
(to) whom
يَشَآءُۖ
yashau
He wills
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلۡقَوِيُّ
al-qawiyu
(is) the All-Strong
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
the All-Mighty
١٩
42:20
مَن
man
Whoever
كَانَ
kana
is
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
desiring
حَرۡثَ
hartha
(the) harvest
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(of) the Hereafter
نَزِدۡ
nazid
We increase
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
فِي
fi
in
حَرۡثِهِۦۖ
harthihi
his harvest
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
كَانَ
kana
is
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
desiring
حَرۡثَ
hartha
(the) harvest
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
نُؤۡتِهِۦ
nu'tihi
We give him
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
of it
وَمَا
wama
but not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
مِن
min
any
نَّصِيبٍ
nasibin
share
٢٠
42:21
أَمۡ
am
Or
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
شُرَكَٰٓؤُاْ
shurakau
(are) partners
شَرَعُواْ
shara'u
who have ordained
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلدِّينِ
al-dini
the religion
مَا
ma
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَأۡذَنۢ
yadhan
Allah has given permission of it
بِهِ
bihi
Allah has given permission of it
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah has given permission of it
وَلَوۡلَا
walawla
And if not
كَلِمَةُ
kalimatu
(for) a word
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
al-fasli
decisive
لَقُضِيَ
laqudiya
surely it (would have) been judged
بَيۡنَهُمۡۗ
baynahum
between them
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is a) punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
٢١
42:22
تَرَى
tara
You will see
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
مُشۡفِقِينَ
mush'fiqina
fearful
مِمَّا
mimma
of what
كَسَبُواْ
kasabu
they earned
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
وَاقِعُۢ
waqi'un
(will) befall
بِهِمۡۗ
bihim
[on] them
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
فِي
fi
(will be) in
رَوۡضَاتِ
rawdati
flowering meadows
ٱلۡجَنَّاتِۖ
al-janati
(of) the Gardens
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مَّا
ma
(is) whatever
يَشَآءُونَ
yashauna
they wish
عِندَ
inda
with
رَبِّهِمۡۚ
rabbihim
their Lord
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
هُوَ
huwa
it
ٱلۡفَضۡلُ
al-fadlu
(is) the Bounty
ٱلۡكَبِيرُ
al-kabiru
the Great

ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is of) which
يُبَشِّرُ
yubashiru
Allah gives glad tidings
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah gives glad tidings
عِبَادَهُ
ibadahu
(to) His slaves
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِۗ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
قُل
qul
Say
لَّآ
la
Not
أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ
asalukum
I ask you
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
for it
أَجۡرًا
ajran
any payment
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلۡمَوَدَّةَ
al-mawadata
the love
فِي
fi
among
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰۗ
al-qur'ba
the relatives
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَقۡتَرِفۡ
yaqtarif
earns
حَسَنَةٗ
hasanatan
any good
نَّزِدۡ
nazid
We increase
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
حُسۡنًاۚ
hus'nan
good
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
ghafurun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
شَكُورٌ
shakurun
All-Appreciative
٢٣
42:24
أَمۡ
am
Or
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
(do) they say
ٱفۡتَرَىٰ
if'tara
He has invented
عَلَى
ala
about
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
كَذِبٗاۖ
kadhiban
a lie
فَإِن
fa-in
But if
يَشَإِ
yasha-i
Allah willed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah willed
يَخۡتِمۡ
yakhtim
He would seal
عَلَىٰ
ala
[over]
قَلۡبِكَۗ
qalbika
your heart
وَيَمۡحُ
wayamhu
And Allah eliminates
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
And Allah eliminates
ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ
al-batila
the falsehood
وَيُحِقُّ
wayuhiqqu
and establishes
ٱلۡحَقَّ
al-haqa
the truth
بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦٓۚ
bikalimatihi
by His Words
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ
bidhati
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
al-suduri
(is in) the breasts
٢٤
42:25
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
يَقۡبَلُ
yaqbalu
accepts
ٱلتَّوۡبَةَ
al-tawbata
the repentance
عَنۡ
an
of
عِبَادِهِۦ
ibadihi
His slaves
وَيَعۡفُواْ
waya'fu
and pardons
عَنِ
ani
[of]
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
al-sayiati
the evil
وَيَعۡلَمُ
waya'lamu
and He knows
مَا
ma
what
تَفۡعَلُونَ
taf 'aluna
you do
٢٥
42:26
وَيَسۡتَجِيبُ
wayastajibu
And He answers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
وَيَزِيدُهُم
wayaziduhum
and increases (for) them
مِّن
min
from
فَضۡلِهِۦۚ
fadlihi
His Bounty
وَٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
wal-kafiruna
And the disbelievers
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
(will be) a punishment
شَدِيدٞ
shadidun
severe
٢٦
